At the end of school, the walk back to Lincoln's house was quiet. He didn't feel like taking the bus and having to explain what had happened to his friends, so he decided to walk home alone. Thankfully he convinced Jordan to keep the incident a secret, much to her reluctance. But for now, he just wanted a quiet and peaceful walk alone after the horrible day he just had. Thankfully it was Wednesday, so the weekend was almost approaching. Oblivious to him, however, was Taylor, slowly following him from behind. A look of dead intent was plastered on her face, as she was furious with the boy after the trap with the stink bomb. She had planned on giving him the beating of a lifetime. But for now, she just stayed in pursuit, hoping to find where he lived.
After about 15 minutes, Lincoln finally arrived at the front of his house, taking a deep breath before walking in. The chaos immediately hit him, as both Lola and Lana almost crashed into him with their toy car.
"Sorry Linky"! Lola shouted, somehow driving the thing back upstairs. The sound of Luna playing loud music could be heard from upstairs, while a small explosion erupted from the other side of the upstairs hallway.
"MY APOLOGIES" Lisa shouted. On the couch were Luan and Leni, casually watching Tv. while Lori came from downstairs, on a phone call with Bobby. She went into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, before walking back upstairs to her room. Just then Lynn entered the house and ran passed Lincoln, barely arriving from school.
"Outta the way Stinklon, I gotta hit the showers", she frantically said as she ran up the stairs and made a dash towards the restrooms. Lincoln just sighed and shook his head.
"At least everything normal here", he thought to himself before walking towards the stairs. "Hey Dad", Lincoln said passing by. His father, Lynn Sr. was in the kitchen cooking Lasagna for dinner.
"Hey sport, hope you had a great day at school today, by the way, your mother is out grocery shopping with Lilly", he responded, not taking his eyes off the lasagna he was cooking. Lincoln just sighed and said, "Yea, school was fine. I'll be up in my room" before heading upstairs. Upon opening and entering his room, he immediately threw himself onto his bed, took a deep sigh of relief, and closed his eyes. The rest of the night was uneventful, as Lincoln surprisingly fell asleep without any interruptions. It wasn't until the sound of small pebbles hitting his window from outside woke the boy from his slumber. Waking up, Lincoln took a look at his alarm clock, only to see that it was 1:00 am.
"Dangit, I must've fallen asleep", he thought to himself, noticing that he still had on his clothes. He turned his attention to his window, where small pebbles were continuously being thrown at the glass. Lincoln tried to get a good look at who was throwing the rocks but couldn't see anyone due to the darkness. The moon wasn't out, so barely any light was being shone. After a few moments, the boy decided to go outside and investigate. He slowly opened his door, checking down the hallway to make sure no one was up. To his relief all of his sister's doors were closed, indicating that they were all asleep. He slowly closed his door, and began to make his way down the stairs, carefully trying not to make a sound. Once he reached the bottom, he quickly looked to his right to see his parent's door was closed, as they too were asleep. He then calmly made his way past the kitchen, noticing a small plate of lasagna with plastic wrap over it. On it was a note from his oldest sister, Lori.
"We didn't want to wake you, so here's some dinner in case you get hungry twerp ~Lori" it read. Lincoln smiled, as a warm feeling came over him. Despite all the hard times he has had with his family, he still did love them. And although they rarely showed it, he knew they loved him too. He decided he was going to eat the lasagna once he came back from investigating. He then proceeded to the front door, slowly opening it to reveal the empty and dark outdoors. The sound of crickets and an owl echoed through the sky, as not a soul or light was in sight. The boy then closed the door behind him and proceeded to the back of his house. He scanned the area, seeing no evidence of anyone there.
Suddenly a tall female jumped from the bushes, tackling Lincoln to the ground. When Lincoln looked up, he was surprised to see who it was that just jumped on him. It was Taylor.
"What the heck are you doing here"? he frantically asked. Taylor just glared at him.
"I'm gonna kick your ass for that little stunt you pulled at my locker you little shit", she responded.
"What stunt"? Lincoln asked confused.
"Don't play stupid with me Loud. I always knew you were the biggest coward out of your friends but I never took you for a prankster", she hissed back. Lincoln immediately concluded what was happening, and only one name struck his mind. "Chandler", he thought.
"Listen to me Taylor, it was Chandler that pranked you, not me. Let's just talk about this", he tried to reason. But Taylor had already made up her mind.
"Screw you Lincoln, I don't care who did it, you've always pissed me off anyways", she retorted. seeing that it was useless to reason with her, Lincoln out of desperation, raised his knee right into Taylor's stomach, causing the girl to get off of him. He took the opportunity to get to his feet and make a dash for it, down the street and away from his house. Taylor got back to her feet as well and proceeded to run after him.
"YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME LINCOLN, SO JUST BE A GOOD BOY AND TAKE THIS ASS BEATING IMMA LAY ON YOU" Taylor shouted from behind Lincoln. The kids were now running through the empty and quiet neighborhood in the middle of the night. No one was around to help Lincoln. He was on his own. As they ran, they quickly came up to the woods, where Taylor caught up to him. She immediately tackled him to the ground, and the two began to roll down the hill off of the road and into the woods. Locked in a wrestling match, the two rolled deeper into the woods, rolling passed trees and branches, and through bushes and rocks, until they ultimately made a stop in the middle of a grassy clearing. Right next to them was a small wooden cabin that they didn't even notice. The two were now bleeding and covered in scratches and dirt. Taylor proceeded to raise her fist, before bringing it down to Lincoln's face repeatedly. Lincoln desperately raised his arms in front of his face to shield himself from Taylor's punches, though he could still feel the pain from every blow, especially since he didn't recover from Chandlers beating. Without even thinking, Lincoln brought his knee up again, striking Taylor in the side of her abdomen. The girl yelped in pain as she stumbled back, allowing Lincoln to gain the upper hand. He quickly got up to his feet and ran at Taylor at full speed, tackling the girl with all his might. The two went flying through the glass window of the cabin, causing the glass to cut them both up. They were now inside the dark cabin. It was a small cabin with only one room. But in the corner were multiple black bags, all tucked away and wrapped tightly together. Next to it was a lab table that had beakers and other science equipment on it. The two kids still didn't take any notice of any of this as they continued their fight.
Lincoln swung his fist at Taylor, socking the girl right in the stomach. She began to cough out blood. Before clenching her two fists together in a ball, and proceeded to raise them over her head where she quickly swung down on Lincoln's skull with all her might, knocking the boy down on his bottom. Quickly following the attack, she proceeded to kick Lincoln's face with the front of her boot, sending the boy flying toward the wall like a soccer ball. Blood was pouring out of his nose and mouth, as he fought the urge to fall unconscious. He quickly stumbled back onto his feet and attempted to make another tackle at Taylor, but she quickly dodged it and grabbed the collar of his shirt, throwing him at the lab table. The impact caused one of the beakers to fall off the table, shattering as it hit the ground. A strange liquid began to leak out of the shattered glass remains, flowing throughout the floor and onto the black bags in the corner. Not even taking note of this, Lincoln quickly grabbed a metal tray that contained some sort of white shards on it, and swung it right at Taylor, striking the side of her face. Blood spewed out of the girl's mouth, the impact making her lose balance. The tiny shards that were on the tray went flying all over the room, landing everywhere on the ground. Lincoln then thrust himself off of the desk and dashed towards Taylor, ready to strike her again with the metal tray. The force caused another beaker to fall off of the lab table, sending the liquid inside all over the floor. Upon interacting, the two liquids on the floor caused a spark, which quickly erupted into a large fire. Both Lincoln and Taylor stopped their fighting and turned their attention to the fire that was now engulfing half of the cabin. Flames spread throughout the lab table and the stack of black bags. Without even a warning, the lab table exploded, sending the two kids flying out the window and onto the grassy clearing outside of the cabin. There they lay covered in blood and ash, completely oblivious to what they just did. Both fell unconscious, before hearing the distant and faint voices of multiple men.
