Ok so I was all alone in the deep abyss of cape cod when this story hopped up in front of the car and I ran it over. Needless to say, I've repaired it and am currently posting it where it belongs.

(chuckles) I am so full of shit. Oh well. Humor me.

Dedication: my car- a red Porsche. Jk I don't own a car.

Disclaimer: eh…well I did hit it with my nonexistent car but no I don't own it. inuyasha belongs to someone else. someone who needs to make sure it doesnt play in the road.

Wee! And that's all I have to say for the time being.

It was about 1:30 in the afternoon as Kagome whisked around the kitchen, putting the finishing touches on the lunches she had made for her friends.

Her mother had left her to her task and had gone out to retrieve the mail. Her brother had wandered into the kitchen. "Hey big sis, where's mom?" he asked her, looking around as though hoping to find her hiding in 1 of the unused corners of the small kitchen.

"She went out to get the mail." Kagome replied, not looking up or stopping what she was doing.

Upon hearing this he went over to the door and pressed his face to the glass. "oh, I see her now, she's coming back." He stood back from the door and watched Kagome as she flit from one thing to another.

"Hurry, hurry, hurry," She was telling herself under her breath.

She paused to push some stray hair out of her eyes then resumed her frenzied cooking spree. The front door opened and her mother stepped in. she stepped out of her shoes and slid her feet into slippers while sifting through the various envelopes and such.

"Sota, package for you." She called.

"Yes!" Sota cried, pumping his arm and making a beeline for his mother. She handed him the package and he placed it on an unused portion of the kitchen table and pulled it apart as fast as he could.

"What did ya' get?" Kagome asked, stepping around him and her mother who had followed him into the kitchen to get an ingredient.

"Kung fu cows extreme 3rd edition platinum!" he cried, holding the box aloft triumphantly.

"Well that's a mouthful." Kagome said.

"Wanna play me, sis?" Sota asked, hopping up and down and hugging the box with excitement.

"I can't Sota, I have to go and help Inuyasha and the others this weekend. I'm already late." She said putting the completed lunches in her bag. He gave her puppy eyes. She sighed and shouldered her backpack. "Maybe when I get back, ok?" he looked rather downtrodden. She quickly hugged her mother and ruffled his hair then scurried out the door.

She hurried to the building that housed the sacred well. Taking care not to ruin the lunches, she jumped in, making the quick trip through the times to the feudal era.

"Kagome!" a small voice called when she popped her head out of the well. She turned and saw a small fox child scampering towards her on all fours.

"Hey Shippo!" she said, waving.

She sat on the edge of the wall and waited for him to get to her.

"The others sent me to see what was taking you so long." He said when he finally reached her.

"I was making lunches!" she cried, indignantly.

Shippo just shrugged. "Com'on. I'll take you to where they're waiting." He said, pulling her by her hand.

Well that's all for now. The 2nd chappie will b better I promise. Anyway sai sen- Katie
