Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or 'Drops of Jupiter'.
Now that she's back
in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She
acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's time
to change, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She
listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey Tell
me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the Milky Way to
see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated Tell
me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent
scar
And did you miss me while you were looking at yourself out
there
Miroku sat on a stool, singing in front of an enthusiastic crowd. He loved this song, and only he and his band mates knew why. It was about her, the girl that he had loved, the girl that had broken his heart when she left a year ago, and the same girl who he still loved. Although she had left way before the song was written, Miroku hoped that one day, she would be in the audience, smiling at him. He was thinking of all the great times he had shared with her when it happened. She came into the bar where he was performing, and sat down.
Now that she's back
from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation,
hey, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me
that there's time to grow, hey, hey Now that she's back
in the atmosphere
I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain
ol' Jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he
never did land Tell me did the wind sweep you off your
feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of
day
And head back to the Milky Way
And tell me, did Venus blow
your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss
me while you were looking for yourself out there
She smiled at him, her eyes filled with happiness. Miroku could barely believe it; in fact, he didn't until his guitarist and best friend Inuyasha pointed it out to him. He couldn't stop looking at her. The past year had changed her; her hair was longer and her aura seemed…calmer. Her eyes sparkled with knowledge and inner peace. Miroku was so absorbed in her that he almost missed his que.
Can you imagine
no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always
sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine
no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone conversation
The
best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me Tell me
did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the
chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the
Milky Way
Tell me did you sail
across the sun
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights
all faded
And that heaven is overrated
Tell me, did you
fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did
you miss me while you were looking at yourself out there
The band cut the song early because they knew she was in the audience and that Miroku wanted to talk to her. They were afraid that he would be upset, but he hardly noticed. After the crowd left, Miroku jumped of stage to talk to her for the first time in years.
"Sango…I…well…you're…it's…that's…" stuttered Miroku before Sango cut him off with a quick, but passionate kiss.
"I had a wonderful time on my journey and saw so many things. I figured out so many things about myself. I also realized what was missing in my life. You," Sango whispered while Miroku embraced her. They kissed again and Inuyasha, Koga, who was the drummer, and Kagome, who was Inuyasha's girl friend, all cheered at that.
"I've been waiting so long to hear you say that," Miroku said at last.
