Chapter 4: Storming the Technodrome

"So to sum up," Mantis spoke up as he, along with Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, Po, Tigress, Viper, Monkey, Crane, April, and Casey flew through Dimension X on the Kraang stealth ship they had stolen, "we're in another dimension, riding in a stolen alien ship to find where the other aliens are so we can get home."

"Yep." Donnie remarked, still working the control panel.

Mantis' face deadpanned. "Can't believe this is what our lives have come to now." He said, holding his face in his pincers. "Is it too late to go back to being a doctor when I get home?"

"Stop being a wimp." Tigress told him.

"So, how far away are the Kraang now?" Po asked.

April placed a hand on her helmet. "Not much farther now." She said, reaching out with her psychic powers.

Suddenly, a small beeping sound echoed throughout the ship, slightly startling the occupants.

"Guys, somethings coming up on the scanners just ahead of us!" Donnie exclaimed.

Slowly, the group gazed out the main window, and out from the pink void of clouds emerged a large metallic orb that almost seemed to be the size of a small moon.

Po, Tigress, Viper, Crane, Monkey, and Mantis were greatly taken aback by its intimidating and terrifying appearance while Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, April, and Casey could only look on with dread.

"No way…" Mikey murmured.

"Oh crud." Raph cursed.

"It can't be…" Donnie let out.

"Didn't think we'd see that again…" Casey said.

April shivered as she held her arms, rubbing them slightly in nervousness.

"What… is that?" Po asked as he and the Five could only stare in shock, awe, and even a bit of fear.

"That… is the Kraang's most powerful weapon." Leo said. "The Technodrome."

"The Technodrome?" Viper questioned in slight fear.

"Yeah," April said, "the Kraang used one of these things to invade our dimension a while back. They were going to turn our world into Dimension X. It's a good thing we stopped them then."

"But it looks like they're back now." Raph stated. "And it's looking just as fine and dandy as ever with all those cannons looking to blow us to smitherins!" He added sarcastically.

"So how are we supposed to get in there without them shooting at us?" Tigress asked.

"Not to worry, I've already managed to figure out the cloak on this baby." Donnie let out a laugh as he pressed several buttons on the control panel, the ship turning completely invisible. "They'll never see us coming!"

On the display screen in the Technodrome was the image of the stolen Kraang stealth ship flying towards them despite it clearly being cloaked from sight.

"The ones known as the Turtles are that which is known as fools." One of the Kraang droids said. "They think they can hide from Kraang?"

The figure behind them cast in shadows raised his hand before thrusting it forward, signaling for them to fire.

Onboard the stealth ship, Donnie paled under his helmet at the sight of all of the Technodrome's cannons being aimed right at them. "Oooh-kay, um, this is disturbing." He said nervously.

"I thought you said we were invisible!" Monkey exclaimed.

"We are!" Donnie said. "The Kraang must still somehow be able to detect us!" He let out a groan as he dramatically buried his face in the control panel. "Oh, why do I even bother?" He muttered.

"Floor it, Leo! Go, go, go!" Raph yelled, to which Leo pushed the steering orb hard and sent the ship rocketing forward and avoiding several laser blasts as the Technodrome opened fire on them.

"How do they know where we are, Donnie?!" Crane shrieked as they braced themselves against parts of the ship for dear life.

"Let me text them and find out." Donnie said sarcastically with a small scowl. "I HAVE NO IDEA!"

"Fight later, survive now!" Tigress yelled.

Just then, the whole ship lurched as if it had been hit from behind, forcing Leo to swerve the ship in an attempt to avoid more laser blasts.

"Raph, man the defenses!" Leo shouted.

"Yeah, blast 'em back with that wicked laser, yo!" Casey added.

"I'm on it!" Raph said, already working the weapons and blasting the Technodrome with blasts of pink lightning from the stealth ship's main cannon, but the blasts did little to no damage. Meanwhile, more and more lasers battered the ship, rocking it around. "Laser's not doing anything! We're sitting ducks!"

"Leo, look out! Left! Left!" Mikey shouted as the stealth ship was rocked back and forth by the constant laser blasts.

"Would you let me drive?!" Leo shouted back as he struggled to pilot the ship through the swarm of fire, corralling their ship closer and closer to the Technodrome.

"We're not gonna make it!" Donnie cried as the ship was battered with more laser fire. "There's just too many of 'em, Captain!"

"We're doomed, guys! Doomed!" Po cried dramatically, holding Tigress close to him, to which she lightly shoved him off.

At the controls, Leo gritted his teeth in determination as an idea popped into his head. It was crazy, ludicrous even. It defied all logic and sense. It was probably illegal somewhere out there in the wide galaxy beyond the known universe. And Master Splinter would most assuredly not approve if he was still around, the same would probably go for Master Shifu…

… but it just… might… work.

With a growl, Leo slammed the steering orb forward, sending the stealth ship surging towards the Technodrome, breezing past the many laser blasts and not showing any signs of stopping.

But that feeling of determination quickly fleeted as the Technodrome suddenly stopped firing on them, much to their confusion.

That confusion slowly turned to horror as the large hulking orb of metal turned upwards, it's giant pink eye laser aiming right at their ship.

The Technodrome's eye glowed brightly before it blasted a massive pink energy beam at the stealth ship.

Leo, Po, Tigress, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, Viper, Crane, Monkey, Mantis, April, and Casey all screamed in terror as the beam came surging towards them, threatening to blow them to smitherins before Mikey lunged forward, grabbed the steering orb and jerked it to the side, causing the ship to swerve out of the way.

However, they were not quite able to avoid the beam fast enough as it struck the side of the stealth ship, causing it to lose power as it careened uncontrollably towards the Technodrome.

The occupants of the stealth ship all screamed, their eyes wide white circular disks as the ship plowed right through the Technodrome's outer shell, leaving a large hole in the side.

"Alert, Kraang has detected a breach in the hull." One of the Kraang droids said. "Send Kraang units in to eliminate the ones known as the intruders."

Behind them, the figure in the shadows stood up from his seat and quietly walked out of the room.

Slowly, a patrol of Kraang approached the stealth ship that had crashed into their Technodrome.

Upon reaching it, they stood beneath it and aimed their blasters up towards the bottom hatch, ready for when their intruders would pop out.

They did not have to wait very long as the hatch suddenly opened. And before any of them could get a shot off, the Turtles, Po, the Furious Five, April, and Casey leapt down and quickly took out the Kraang droids.

But more quickly took their downed comrades' place, and the group was forced to bolt forward to avoid the laser fire in their direction.

Following Mikey's lead with his unique Kraang-sense, the group quickly made their way to the room closest to them, Raph stabbing his laser jitte into the door's control panel, locking the reinforcements out once they were all inside.

"We made it." Raph said in slight disbelief, "Wow, that was actually kinda easy."

"Um, Raph?" Po said nervously, causing the red clad turtle to turn around.

Right in front of the group in the massive room filled with narrow walkways, sharp spinning fan blades, and control panels were several Kraang droids and Kraang saucers, all of them armed blasters that were armed and aimed right at them.

"Aw, Kraang." Raph groaned as he readied himself for another fight.

"Team, attack!" Leo yelled, flourishing his laser katanas before he led the charge against the Kraang.

"Leo, I'm the leader in Dimension X, remember?" Mikey reminded him as he leaped onto a Kraang saucer and squashed the brain-like alien beneath his foot before hopping forward and kicking another Kraang saucer away. He then used his kusarigama chain to swing around the room like Tarzan and kick a Kraang droid off of the platform.

"Then figure out a way to take out all of these Kraang droids!" Leo told him, cutting down one Kraang droid with his laser katana before kicking another one off the platform.

Mikey reached down to pick up a Kraang blaster, beaming wickedly.

Po bashed his fist against a Kraang droid's head, knocking the head clean off before kicking it into a group of other Kraang. Several Kraang droids, however, quickly began to swarm him and overwhelm him.

"Tigress! Double death strike!" Po called out to his feline love as the Kraang began to pile on him.

Tigress slashed a Kraang droid to shreds with her claws before grabbing a Kraang who tried to blast her from behind. She then threw the Kraang droid into two Kraang saucers, causing them both to collide with sickle-shaped fans above, slicing them in half.

Seeing that Po was in trouble, Tigress immediately rushed to her panda's aid, grabbing his paws and pulling Po out from under the pile before swinging him like a club at the Kraang droids.

Landing on his feet while still holding Tigress' paws on his own, Po kicked away more Kraang droids coming their way before Tigress jumped above him, performing a split-kick on two Kraang droids that lunged at them with taser prods.

Po and Tigress both smiled at each other lovingly as they let go of each other's hands and went off to fight more Kraang droids.

Meanwhile, Raph, Donnie, Casey, and Monkey were using the sickle shaped fans as platforms to jump and dodge more Kraang saucers, taking them out via their weapons or by knocking aliens into the spinning blades.

Crane swooped down past the sickle shaped fans, blowing several Kraang droids and saucers away with his powerful wings while Viper wrapped her tail around a Kraang droid's arms and leapt over it's head, throwing the Kraang droid into several Kraang saucers.

Mantis zoomed through a group of Kraang droids, tearing them to pieces while April used her powers to send her tessen through several Kraang saucers.

"Aw, yeah! Check me out!" Mikey cheered, suddenly coming down with two Kraang saucers on his feet and a blaster in each hand as he fired off like a madman.

Mikey sent one of the Kraang flying into the hatch where the Kraang saucers were coming from, effectively blocking it off. The rest of the aliens in the room were soon sent falling past the fan blades and into the dark depths below.

Raph, Donnie, April, Casey, and even Leo couldn't help but grin at the party turtle proudly while Po, Tigress, Viper, Crane, Monkey, and Mantis were too busy gaping at the display they had just witnessed.

"Mikey… that was AWESOME!" Po cheered excitedly.

"How–How did you do that?" Viper asked, her mouth slightly hanging in amazement.

Mikey grinned as he hovered down towards them on the Kraang saucers. "Dimension X, plus years of video games equals Mikey awesomeness!"

"Well, impressive, Mikey." Tigress complimented him.

"Looks like you've got some competition." April couldn't help but tease Leo lightly.

Leo simply rolled his eyes in response. "Alright, enough messing around." He said, turning towards where Donnie was already working on the control panel. "What have we got, Donnie?"

"Good news," Donnie said, still typing on the control panel, "ever since we helped the Utrom win the war in Dimension X, the Kraang's numbers have been fewer than ever, less so after we beat them back in Gongmen City. Right now, it looks like all the remaining Kraang forces have gathered here on this one Technodrome."

"Huh, well isn't that convenient?" Raph remarked.

"Convenient maybe, but good for us." Donnie said. "Looking through the schematics, I've managed to find a portal room that could get us out of here. And best of all, it's not far from here!"

"But we can't just leave the Kraang now." Tigress pointed out. "If we do, they'll probably just keep coming after us. We don't even really know why they kidnapped us." She gestured to herself, Po, and the rest of the Five.

"I'm getting to that." Donnie told her. "What I'm proposing is that we set this baby on a crash course with one of those planetoids," He pointed out towards the several large planetoids that floated out in front of the Technodrome, "and while the Kraang are distracted trying to get the Technodrome off of it's plotted course, we'll sneak into the portal room and get home." He then turned back towards the control panel. "Now, if I could just figure out how to activate the controls…"

"Step aside, Donnie!" Mikey said, rolling his eyes as he shoved Donnie out of the way. "I got this!" He then began randomly pressing buttons, much to the group's confusion before he pressed two buttons with his hands and foot at the same time. "And there we go!"

Before anyone could question Mikey's sanity, they felt the Technodrome suddenly lurch forward.

"No time to waste, guys, let's go!" Mikey yelled, already heading towards the door on the other side of the room.

The Turtles, April, and Casey were quick to follow the party turtle while Po and the Furious Five stared after him in surprise.

"He's so…" Viper tried to find the right words.

"Un-Mikey-ish." Monkey said in surprise.

"Exactly." Tigress said, sounding rather astonished herself.

"Well, come on!" Po said. "We don't wanna lose them!"

After sealing the door behind them, the group stealthily made their way through the Technodrome, avoiding several Kraang droids and taking out the few that came too close.

Eventually, they made their way towards a solid wall that seemed like a dead end until Leo used his laser katana to cut a large hole in it.

Peaking through the large hole, the group found themselves looking down into a large room filled with dozens of portals and in the center of the room was a small control panel guarded by a few Kraang droids while above them was a massive Kraang energy crystal.

"Oh, that's not good." Donnie said, pointing towards the multiple portals in the room.

"There are so many portals! Why so many?" Tigress questioned.

"Look!" Leo pointed out towards the walls as they opened up, revealing an entire army of Foot Bots that emerged from the tunnels.

"Hey, those are the same guys the Kraang sent to kidnap us!" Viper exclaimed, pointing her tail down towards the Foot Bots.

"Foot Bots!" Casey scowled. "How did the Kraang get their hands on these guys?"

"Well, the Kraang did originally manufacture them for Shredder, remember?" Donnie pointed out.

"They also did this weird thing where they were able to predict our moves." Po added. "It was awesome! Crazy, but awesome!"

Leo grimaced. "That's what the Foot Bots do. They adapt to your every move the longer you fight them, which is probably how they were able to capture you, our moves are pretty much useless once they know them."

Mantis groaned. "Oh, that's just perfect!" He grunted. "How the heck do we beat them then?"

"Hit hard." Raph said.

"Hit fast." Tigress said at the same time as Raph as they looked towards each other and shared a smirk, both thinking the same thing.

"Look, I bet those tunnels lead to the hive factory where they're manufactured." Donnie pointed to the tunnels where the Foot Bots were coming from. He then rubbed his chin slightly. "With an army this big, they have to be preparing for something."

"No doubt they're likely trying to invade our dimension again." April said.

"So what do we do?" Crane asked. "There's clearly way too many of them, so maybe we should retreat and find another way out?"

"No!" Mikey yelled, suddenly getting everyone's attention. "Leo, Raph, Casey and Tigress, lock those tunnels! Donnie and I will sabotage the portal generator! And the rest of you, crush some Foot Bots, lots and lots of Foot Bots!"

"Let's do this! GOONGALA!" Casey yelled as they all jumped down, Po, Tigress, Viper, Crane, Monkey, and Mantis landing on several groups of Foot Bots and tearing them to shreds while Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey swung down on their grappling hooks with April and Casey and quickly took out the Kraang droids guarding the control panel that house the portal generator.

"Quick! Go for the blast door panel!" Leo yelled as he, Raph, and Tigress dashed towards said panel while slicing down any Foot Bots in their way before they could adapt.

Leo slashed a Foot Bot in half with his laser katana before pressing his palm against the panel. The panel flashed red and let out a low beep, indicating that access was denied.

A Foot Bot then emerged from the tunnel, about to bring it's sword down on the blue clad turtle when Tigress came in from behind and slashed the Foot Bot's arm off and then slicing it's head off before kicking it away.

Leo caught the dismembered Foot Bot arm and jammed into the panel, causing it to flash green this time with a more chipper beep as all the doors to the tunnels closed.

Leo and Tigress clasped hands as they smirked to each other in triumph, but their celebration was cut short as a large Kraang spider walker loomed over them, forcing them to run.

Mikey latched onto a Foot Bot with a scatterpillar and yanked it away while Viper snapped at one with her tail.

April slashed at two other Foot Bots with her tessen and tanto while Casey whacked one Foot Bot in the head before jabbing his taser into another Foot Bot's chest.

Donnie jabbed his space staff into a Foot Bot, electrocuting it and causing it to short-circuit. He then sheathed his space staff and rushed over to the control console. "Alright, we need to shut down all but two portals so that each of us have a way home, one to New York and one to the Valley of Peace. Then, we get out before this whole thing blows." He said as he rapidly tapped his fingers on the control panel, only for it to let out a low beep, much to his dismay.

Meanwhile, Raph stabbed a Foot Bot in the chest before throwing a shuriken at another, knocking the sword out of it's hand.

Instead of attacking, the Foot Bot instead raised it's fist like that of a boxer.

Surprised, Raph decided to humor the Foot Bot as he put his laser jitte back onto his belt and cracked his knuckles, squaring up against his opponent.

Raph threw a light punch, which the Foot Bot dodged and kneed him in the gut. Raph quickly retaliated by punching the Foot Bot in the face followed by a strong uppercut.

The Foot Bot quickly recovered as it brought both of it's fists up and brought them down on Raph's head, nearly cracking the glass on his helmet and causing him to stumble back.

Finally deciding that he had had enough, Raph lunged at the Foot Soldier before it could react, grabbed it's head, and ripped it off with a mighty yell.

Leo and Tigress dodged out of the way as the Kraang spider walker attempted to squash them with it's sharp legs while the Kraang saucers attached to it and the Kraang droids standing atop the walker tried to blast them.

Tigress ducked under a Foot Bot that attempted to round-house kick her, grabbing the Foot Bot and throwing it at one of the Kraang saucers attached to the spider walker.

Crane then swooped in from above and picked off one of the Kraang droids atop the walker and threw it into one of the Foot Bots.

Monkey quickly climbed up the leg of the spider walker and grabbed one of the Kraang saucers, ripping it out and throwing it away before going back into the fray as he landed on a nearby Foot Bot.

With the spider walker's defenses down, Leo held up his arm, his space suit's grappling hook launching from his wrist and wrapping around one of the spider walker's legs.

"Mantis! I need a lift!" Leo yelled to the small insect master once Mantis had just torn another Foot Bot to shreds.

"On it!" Mantis replied, grabbing Leo by his finger and flinging him into the air with a massive heave.

Leo flipped over the top of the spider walker, landing on the other leg, unfastening the grappling hook from his wrist and tying the end around the leg before jumping off and leaving the spider walker unbalanced and vulnerable.

"Po!" Tigress yelled, getting the panda's attention as he crushed some Foot Bots underneath him. "Give me a throw!" She smirked, holding out her arms.

Po grinned as he rushed over to his feline love, grasping his paws in hers and spinning her around before throwing her towards the Kraang spider walker, specifically the leg that was still on the ground.

Her legs extended, Tigress rammed into the leg of the spider walker, right where it connected to the rest of the body, completely breaking it off and causing the walker to topple over.

For a moment, things seemed quiet before a large pink beam of energy burst through one of the closed tunnel doors, cutting the door open.

Once the beam stopped firing, the door collapsed as more and more Foot Bots and Kraang began to swarm in.

Leo, Po, Tigress, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, Viper, Crane, Monkey, Mantis, April, and Casey tried to fight them off as best they could, but they were quickly finding themselves getting overwhelmed.

"Not these guys again!" Monkey cried as he kicked, punched, dodged as best he could from the Foot Bots before he was quickly tackled to the ground and pinned down.

"Monkey! Hang on!" Viper yelled, swatting away a Foot Bot with her tail before slithering over to help her simian friend. However, she was quickly blocked by another Foot Bot, forcing her to duck under the Foot Bot's sword. She then swatted the Foot Bot in the head with her tail, causing it to stagger back. Viper then attempted to finish it off, snapping her tail again, only for the Foot Bot to catch her tail, much to her horror. The Foot Bot then raised it's head as it's eyes glowed red briefly before it kicked her in the head and pinned her down.

"Viper! No!" Crane exclaimed, swooping down and kicking a Foot Bot away and slicing another in half with his wing. However, two Foot Bots quickly swarmed him from behind and grabbed his wings before pinning him to the ground.

Mantis grabbed a Foot Bot by it's foot, spun it around, and threw it into three more Foot Bots, knocking them down like bowling pins before launching himself at another Foot Bot. But he failed to notice the Foot Bot's eyes briefly glowing before the Foot Bot thrust it's fist forward, hitting Mantis straight on and sending him flying across the room. "That hurt." He groaned before planting his face on the floor.

Casey jabbed his taser at one of the Foot Bot's, only for it to grab his arm and twist it in an uncomfortable manner, causing him to cry out in pain as two other Foot Bot's tackled him to the ground.

April was kicked in the chest by one Foot Bot, causing her to lose her grip on her tessen and tanto. She then blew the Foot Bot back with a blast of her psychic powers only for her to be knocked down by a Foot Bot from behind with a precise neck-chop.

Leo, Po, Tigress, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey were the only ones left as they fought off the swarms of Foot Bots that came their way. No matter how many they took down, more would take their place.

"They just keep coming!" Tigress yelled as she slashed another Foot Bot's head off with her claws before blocking a punch from another and kicking it away. "There's too many of them!"

"Keep fighting!" Raph stated, stabbing his laser jitte into the chest of one Foot Bot. "They gotta run out at some point!"

Donnie blocked a sword strike from one of the Foot Bots before looking around the room. "Uh, I wouldn't be so sure about that, Raph." He said nervously as he noted the dozens of the Foot Bots now in the room.

"We can do this, guys!" Po said enthusiastically as he dodged and blocked a sword from one of the Foot Bots before belly-bumping it away. "Right?" He added, his confidence now wavering a bit as he kicked away another Foot Bot.

"Yeah, dude!" Mikey agreed, shouting like a wildman as he kicked, flipped, snagged, and whipped around any Foot Bot that got close to him.

Leo gritted his teeth in concentration as he jabbed his laser katana into the throat of one Foot Bot before using his other laser katana to slice the leg off a Foot Bot that tried to kick him.

Just as they are about to be completely swarmed, the Foot Bots suddenly halted mid-assault, almost freezing like statues. Then backed away from Po, Tigress, and the Turtles and bowed down rather submissively, much to Leo, Po, Tigress, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey's confusion.

Before any of them could question what was going on, a large shadow loomed over them from behind, forcing them to turn around.

And in an instant, Leo, Po, Tigress, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey were met with several precise punches, kicks, and chops that sent them all crashing to the ground.

Some of the Foot Bots rushed over to hold them down before any of them could get back up as the ones that held the rest of the Five dragged them over to where Po, Tigress, and the Turtles were.

Recovering from their beatdown, Leo, Po, Tigress, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, Viper, Crane, Monkey, Mantis, April, and Casey looked up to see who this looming shadow was… and they all collectively froze as their eyes widened in terror.

Right there before them stood a large muscular man fully clothed in armor and a cape that flowed behind him as he strode forward. He wore bladed shoulder guards and gauntlets over his arms, and a certain Kuro Kabuto on his head.

"Shredder?!" Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, April, and Casey all exclaimed in shock.

"Not quite…" Shredder replied before steam escaped from his chest before it opened up to reveal a small cockpit, and out of it popped…

"Kraang Subprime?!" Mikey gasped while the others stared in shock.

Subprime grinned before he cackled maniacally, his laughter ringing throughout the room and sending chills down the group's spines.
