Naruto belongs to its creators. I own nothing.
Any other references are just references; I obviously can't claim them either.
I am a shitty and a very lazy writer, but I still try to proofread and execute grammar checks. Not well, but it's more effort than some people around here.
Important A/N: Pokémons have levels now, but they don't mean much stat-wise. They just represent how much a creature can grow before it hits its maximum limit. A Pokémon's strength still follows anime logic, as in power levels are bull shit.
I ignore the fact that my analyses of people had changed and respond with a totally not robot reply. "I forgot my curfew. I'll just go and head back home. Yes, that's what I will do." I swiftly turn around and attempt to head back to the orphanage, only for my collar to be grabbed, dragging me into the air.
Huh, I'm understandably quite light. I forgot how "puntable" kids were.
"Hmm, I don't quite buy that story, though you certainly don't seem like much of a threat at least." I caught a glimpse of Shisui's Sharingan's studying me. As a result, he probably confirmed I am no Orochimaru. "So why were you really out here?" Looking at his stern eyes, I realized there was no point in fabricating a story, so I told the truth, just not the absolute truth.
"I just wanted to train my body and chakra."
"That's not something a kid like you should be doing, especially without supervision."
"Well, I'm done with my training, and I am tired now. I promise this will not happen again if you just let me go," though it seems my last sentence was seen through.
"So, you mean that you promise to never get caught again?" He raised an eyebrow at me. We stare at each other for a moment, he then sees the bits of blood underneath my eyelids from straining my dojutsu. That and he seems to notice my recently gained adolescent combat experience, things he was probably all too familiar with, being a war child with the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Shit, he knows.
I internally panic at what he would do, though my dead face gives nothing of my internal emotions away. I wait in suspense, only to see his frown turn into a mischievous grin.
"You're no normal kid. You must be quite gifted and hardworking, huh? Then why stop now? Let this senior ninja test your progress." Shisui, with a smirk, heads off into a direction with me on his shoulder. Probably to a nearby training ground.
Wait, Shisui, the genjutsu god with Kotoamatsukami is going to test my skills?
This, this could be good. Though, still quite tired from my venture through the dungeon, I can't help but actually excited for this! Though, being lugged around like a sack of potatoes is a bit annoying. Hmm, how much can I milk this scenario? If at all.
After a brief second, Shisui dropped me off his shoulder onto a flat field.
"That was fast."
"I know. Now come at me kid, let's see what you got," the teenage soldier said kindly.
"No."
"What?"
"I'm not going to do this; I am a growing boy and I will be needing my rest. I get nothing from doing this, but you get to know all of my trump cards and secretes. What is the benefit do I, as a four year, get from fighting a, how old are you?"
"I am currently thirteen, and you are four? Much too young. You should wait to be a bit older before you start stuff like this," spoke the ninja solemnly. "Though I did become a Genin at the age of seven, so I can't say much, I guess." Letting out a sigh, he continues, "otherwise, it is true I dragged you here against your will. Well, if you manage to impress me, I will help you go to the ninja academy early. If you, manage to really push me, I might even teach you a few techniques. Does that sound good?"
"Perfect," skipping out on two years of nothing but waiting? Possibly even learning techniques from Shisui himself? Hell yeah! "Can I get some time to prepare?"
"Sure, you get ten minutes," Shisui then turns around to let me have my privacy. Thanks for that.
I then take out my Pokéball with Glacial in it and touch it to the back of my left arm. Upon contact the ball merged into my skin and left a seal mark, the markings of which are completely different to the fuinjutsu used by people of this world. They look more like runes instead.
[You have contracted with your Alolan Ninetails, Glacial.
Due to the massive power difference, you can only summon this Pokémon out for 1 day, after which a 6 day cool down penalty will be applied.
Due to contracting with a Pokémon, new knowledge with be given to you:
You have no limit to how many Pokémon you can contract with, however, the people of this world can only contract with one Pokémon forever.
All contractors will have a general idea of what their Pokémon is thinking through the seal.
If a Pokémon dies, it will retreat back to the seal on your body to rejuvenate. The stronger a Pokémon is, the longer it takes for them to recover. A Pokémon will not die as long as you live after all.
The special seal is tied to your soul and can move to whatever part of your body you need it to be for a summoning.]
Fuuuuuucking bullshit! While its cool that I was able to contract with a level 100 Pokémon, which is essentially like having an S-Rank ninja at my call, to not be to have her out constantly sucks. I don't just want her out for combat, but for leisure as well. It's like having custody of your child only once a week, and during that day, you have to send her to school.
Whatever, let's do the bug then. I touch the next ball to the seal on my left hand, it merged in as well.
[You have contracted with a Venipede, what would you like to name it as?]
Oh shit, I suck at giving names.
"Five minutes left."
Ah, already!? How!?
Whatever, lets name it Iris. Unoriginal, but it works. Let's bring her out too. I stab into the side of my right thumb, making the smallest incision I could. Using a tiny bit of blood, I attempt to summon the poisonous bug out. The seal glows slightly and out from the seal comes Iris. She seems to already know the situation and is ready to fight. Huh, surprisingly willing to listen to me from the get go. I try to smile at it to no success, and pat her chitinous head, to which she jitters in response.
"I am done and ready as I will ever be," I announce with the chipped knife in my hand.
Shisui turns around and looks at the bug next to me with both curiosity and confusion. "I heard that thing be summoned out, what is it? Why does it not have a chakra network?"
"It's a unique summon I happen to come across, the Sharingan can see the chakra network?"
"Yeah, vaguely, though it lacks a lot of details."
"Huh, good to know. Iris, take the lead and build up momentum." My Venipede lashes out at a decent speed, surprising Shisui a bit. He redirects her attack using a kuni, then blocked my knife that came in sequence.
"I should have given you a kuni," Shisui spoke as I stepped back to let Venipede attack once more, this time at a greater speed then before. The Speed Boost ability is slowly powering her up. In the mean time I use the shadow clone jutsu to attempt to keep Shisui busy, to no success "Oh, how did you get to learn that jutsu? It's not something you should have." He then swiftly dispatches of the clones. Though not all the clones went off to fight Shisui, a few went to Iris to help accelerate her Speed Boost stacking up. After reaching her maximum of a x4 boost, she quickly launches towards Shisui again.
In the meantime, I also charge in with a few cuts and slashes, but my strikes were no different from a street fighter. My skills in actual combat were currently abysmal. The battle was wrapping up fast as Shisui began backing me into a corner. While a bit bored and disappointed by my current capabilities, he was still fully alert, not even letting up a single moment to be poisoned by my Venipede's Poison Point.
However, I am right now a genjutsu specialist after all, making a moment of weakness was my job.
I raise up my hands as my eyes transform into a demonic red with a deep black sclera. Red veins with in my eye seemed to jump out against the black, creating an image of a bleeding obsidian rock. A mist began to shroud my body and my figure seemingly vanished in front of the ninja.
"The hidden mist technique? Also, red and black colors for a dojutsu, I though the Uchiha were the only copy-cats?" As Shisui lightly joked, several shadowy figures seemed to encircle him. Those figures being a mix of both illusions and few couple shadow clones. Thank god genjutsu is so chakra efficient.
"This is getting quite annoying," Shisui finally got bored of my rather passive attacks and his hands went through a flurry of different hand signs. "Wind Release: Passing Typoon, this will take care of your mist," he explained to me much like how a teacher would scolding a student. Only to notice that the mist remained unaffected. For a brief moment Shisui was confused, and slowly a realization had occurred in his head. In that small moment of an epiphany, Iris struck with Poison Sting. Just barely managing to scratch Shisui's shoulder, as the ninja's experience and skill in combat manage to let him avoid the brunt of the attack. After which Shisui got serious as his eyes also turned red. He immediately dispelled all of my genjutsus and instantaneously brought his knife to my neck.
A cold sense of dread drenched my spine as I got to witnessed why he is called Shisui of the Shunshin. I immediate raise my hands to surrender. When the blade point is removed from my neck, I just collapse on to the ground in exhaustion. Iris crawls to me and curls up on my lap, carefully watching Shisui.
"So, your eyes help you out as a genjutsu specialist, and they are powerful at that. Most Jōnin would fall for your skill and your only four years old."
"Yep, I charged head first using shadow clones as a means to build the idea of me being a front-line fighter, greatly reducing your chances of noticing a genjutsu."
"I realized, but that was quickly seen through, you lost the battle in the end. Though, I am impressed. Those weren't the strongest genjutsu I have every experienced, but they are subtle and can be confused with normal ninjutsu techniques. Congratulations, I'll do my best to get you into the academy this year." Shisui takes a seat on the grass next to me.
"Thanks, but I am confused why you did this in the first place."
"Ah, you see. Often times, people are jealous of and fear those who are overly capable. Often suppressing them as a result. From that, hatred brews. I don't want you, and orphan who is clearly more mature and talented then the average kid to hate the village that I love so much. Plus, I want to test you by seeing how you think and fight."
"Makes sense, a child who is not embraced by his village will try to burn it down to feel its warmth... Yet, what made you approach me so suspiciously?" Shisui stared at me, mulling over my first sentence a bit, then replied.
"I initially approached you and tested you so much because many shinobis have attempted to infiltrate a village as a child. It is done so often that it's become a stereotype. Thankfully, the Hyuga's, the Uchiha police force, and the Yamanaka clan makes Konaha one of the hardest villages to infiltration. Not impossible, but extremely difficult."
"That's a funny thing to learn."
"Yeap. You get a couple more questions and then I'll walk you back home kiddo."
"I don't get to learn any techniques?"
"Hmm? Nope. While I was pressured a bit, and you did get me to lower my guard for a moment, but you didn't impress me enough to be my student. You lack proper taijutsu technique and some actual ninjutsu to increase your punching power, things that you are more than capable enough to learn and use. Though, you can try again a year from now, how about that?" He pats my head in an attempt to placate me.
He never had any plans to teach me anything, just wanted to toss me at the academy after spitting out some kind words. Just enough to make sure I don't decide to hate this village later as an adult. However, you aren't leaving so easily after you made me suffer through this nonsense.
"Are you sure about that sensei?" I question while pointing at his shoulder. The area around the cut was turning purple and the nearby veins with bulging. Iris, who had been quiet on my lap begins chortling. I swear she is more mischievous than careful, but whatever. Her poison had begun doing its work.
"What do you... Holy Shit. How did I not feel anything?" Shisui questions himself in shock. He then attempts to push out the poison using chakra manipulation, but the poison proved to be strong enough to resist it. Shisui let out a sigh, "shit, you got me, kid. Schooled by someone nearly ten years my junior. Well, you got an antidote or some antivenom?"
"Nope," I tease to his horror, "but most medical ninjutsu techniques should be able to get rid of it." There were many ways of removing poison in Pokémon, and all of them worked. Shisui should be fine if he just gets the venom extracted.
"Hehehe, if I live through this, and when you get out of the academy. I'll try my best to be your jonin instructor, just get yourself home safely. Do not strain your eyes too much, and I better not see you out at night like this again"
"Yes, soon-to-be sensei." I nonchalantly turn around and happily waddle back to the orphanage.
"..." Shisui watched me leave with a clear bulging vein on his forehead. Then he made his own exit, to a hospital most likely.
This day was a very fruitful day. Iris even got a couple of levels off of that.
Side note, Shisui is thirteen now if I remember correctly, and he dies around the age of 16 in the anime. I plan to take a year in the academy, so that means that I get at least a minimum of two years of training under him.
Unless I decide to change his fate of course.
A/N:
Pokémon's poison is so subtle and powerful, that even after being poisoned, a Pokémon can keep on fighting never to realize that they are dying.
Also, most ninjas train their bodies to resist most conventional poisons.
Also, yes, I am back on this fic. I went through and revised all the previous chapters with some minor changes, but it is basically the same stuff just with more info.
Pokémon available will mostly be from Generation One all the way to Sun and Moon, and maybe a few from Sword and Sheild. He will not be catching that many though.
Lastly, Boruto wiki stuff may be added here and there, but I have yet to watch the anime or read the manga (just not into it), feel free to note something that may be incorrect.
Though, I might not change it as I may prefer my interpretation/version better for my story.
