EDIT: Before we begin, I just want to take the time to say something really important.

I have debated on if I should stop writing. It's terrible to say this but a part of me has lost interest in writing stories, however, I have not made a decisive decision about continuing writing or stopping, but I just thought it was right to let you all know

Bur for now, please do enjoy today's chapter, even if it is a bit short...

Chapter 7: Love like Woe pt.1

It was 12 in the afternoon, meaning it was lunch for the students, and currently, Taylor was minding her own business outside, as she sat on a bench in the back of the school, but far from the rambling of students. She was eating a simple PB&J sandwich with a simple bag of chips and a juice box.

Right now, she was working on a few missing assignments she had in her classes, while she was by no means an A+ student, she did have B's and C's as most of her grades, she may still be a bit of a bully, but she was by no means someone who would fall into the stereotype of "mean and troubled kid = Failure in school".

Besides, she needed to set a good example of Mikey, and while she didn't always live up to that example, she learned to.

However, her mind was not just on the assignments, it did tend to wander to other things. Mikey, what was for dinner, what could she find to make for dinner, her friends, and of course, Lincoln.

Taylor sighed, she admits that she had thought about him a lot more these past few days. After all, she had never expected him to be someone she could talk to about what was going on at her house or how she felt about it, it was crazy how they went from Bully and Bullied to friends. And all because he saw her dancing in the park and because their siblings are friends.

Still... she was thankful that they had become friends, and she wouldn't do anything to change that.

"Hello"

Taylor was taken out of her thoughts and looked up and away from her assignments. Standing in front of her was Evelynn. She only remembered the girl's name because back then, she was another easy target for her and her friends, now, Evelynn was a person she had talked to a few times when they had to be paired up in some of their shared classes.

"What do you want Evelynn?" Taylor asked, in a bit of an annoyed tone

"Nothing, I just wanted to talk about a certain someone," Evelynn told Taylor,

"Really? Who's the lucky person you want to bore me with?" Taylor asked as she rolled her eyes

Evelynn smiled, "Lincoln," She said

Taylor stiffened a bit, and then Evelynn sat right next to her on the bench.

Taylor turned to look at Evelynn, "What about Lincoln?" Taylor asked as she took a drink of her juice box

"Well... I was just wondering if, um, if you're going out with Lincoln?" Evelynn asked Taylor

Once again, Taylor stiffened up, almost coughed up her drink too, but she remained as calm as possible. Taylor looked at Evelynn, "No, Lincoln and me, are not dating" Taylor said, she wasn't lying, but for some reason, it did hurt to say.

"Really? But I've seen you guys hanging out in the park a few times and walking together home" Evelynn said with a bit of a sheepish smile, "I assumed you guys might be... um, well... dating" Evelynn said

Taylor was a bit stunned to hear that Evelynn had seen them, yeah they had talked and made out in the park, but they made out behind a few trees away from prying eyes, and they never really noticed Evelynn in the park.

It also was weird that Evelynn was bringing these things up. Why did the shy girl want to know what was going on between the two of them? "Why do you want to know if me and Lincoln are dating?" Taylor asked

"Oh, I was... just asking," Evelynn said with a sheepish smile

Taylor gave Evelynn a skeptical look but would accept the answer, for now, as she did not want to pry and ask too many questions, which might cause her to stay quiet.

Instead, Taylor decided to take a different approach.

"Yeah... ok, I'm just gonna leave, see you later Evelynn," Taylor said as she got up and began walking away with her food and assignments

Evelynn looked at Taylor as she left and gave her a small wave with a sheepish smile, "Y-Yeah, bye," Evelynn said as Taylor continued to walk-off

As Taylor walked away, she couldn't help but feel a bit threatened by Evelynn, not that she said anything threatening, but... The fact that she asked if she and Lincoln were dating... It made her think that Evelynn might just ask out Lincoln.

Taylor and Lincoln weren't in a relationship, they kissed, and they had made out, it was just that... but thinking of Lincoln with someone else, it didn't matter who, it really hurt her.

'Why... am I feeling this way for Lincoln?' Taylor asked herself as she walked

Meanwhile, Shay walked back into the school, with a big and bright smile on her face. She was happy with what she learned today.

Sorry about such a short update and chapter but I swear to God that the next one will be a lot longer and we'll finally get to what you guys have been waiting for!

Trust me, I feel so terrible for having to make this shirt but it's better than going off track and writing half of the chapter while being in Autopilot and tired AF...
