Chapter 27

Forest of Death

All the Chunin hopefuls met at training ground 44 also loving known as Forest of Death. Naruto and Usagi knew this place well for they at times will go with their summons to this training ground to train away from The Uchiha and his pinkette banshee of a fangirl.

"So, Bunny how long do you think it will take us this time to get to the tower?" Asked Naruto as he looked over at his lovely bride.

Usagi smiled at him. "Well if it was just us. It would only take about 20 to 30 minutes but how we have the rest of our team. I'm not sure. But also we don't know what we have to do before we get to the tower." She told him.

Sasuke and Sakura looked at them both with raised eyebrows. "What are you talking about dope?" Question Sasuke as he looked at Naruto.

Naruto looked over Usagi's shoulder over at their lease favorite teammate. "Bunny and I train here from time to time." Was all he told the raven duck ass boy.

"As if." Scoffed Sasuke as he turned away crossing his arms. 'A loser like himself wouldn't last in a place like that. Only someone with my skills could.' He thought to himself.

Sakura just watched not knowing if she should add her two cents in or just stand off to the sidelines.

Ino walked up to Team 7 along with her teammates. "So what do you think they will have us do in here?" She asked everyone.

"Troublesome." Said Shikamaru as he sighed. All he wanted to do was take a nice long nap under a shady tree somewhere.

Naruto grinned. "Thinking about your date?" He asked Shikamaru who turned bright red and turned away.

"Troublesome blonde." Muttered Shikamaru as he couldn't look at his friends and Ino was grinning widely for she had heard about it.

"Alright. That's enough we need to focus and listen to Anko when she is ready to talk." Said Usagi as she playful glared at Naruto for putting Shika on the spot like that. She had done the same thing with her friend Ami so long ago. 'They are going to pay for what they have done to my friends.' She thought as she turned away.

"Yeah that was a fun night stalking you with Zabuza and the others." Said Choji smiling Innocently at his best friend. That was the last straw and Naruto was on the ground laughing.

"Yeah we had to hold him back a few times. Mostly after your date and when you gave her that good night kiss." Said Naruto as he was slowly standing up from his laughing fit.

"ALRIGHT BRATS LISTEN UP!" Shouted Anko was she watched all the Chunin hopefuls turn and look at her as she was standing on the fence. "THIS WILL BE A SURVIVAL TEST. YOU WILL BE IN THE FOREST OF DEATH FOR FIVE DAYS AND IF YOU ARE NOT AT THE TOWER BY THE FIFTH NIGHT. YOU AND YOUR TEAMMATES ARE DISQUALIFIED. BUT DURING THOSE FIVE DAYS YOU MUST GET THE MATCHING SCROLL TO THE ONE YOUR TEAM WILL BE HOLDING." She told them as she held up a Heaven and Earth scroll.

"YOU WILL NEED THESE TWO SCROLLS TO ENTER THE TOWER. BE FORWARN IF YOU OPEN YOUR SCROLL BEFORE REACHING THE TOWER WE WILL KNOW AND YOU WILL ALSO BE DISQUALIFIED. YOU CAN USE ANY MEANS NECESSARY TO TAKE THE SCROLL FROM THE OTHER TEAM." Said Anko as she was now grinning. Her grin was off setting to several of the Genin as they took a few steps away from her.

Naruto on the other hand just rolled his eyes and turned his back to her to check a few things in his pack. Anko saw this and an evil smirk graced her lips as she pulled out a kunai and throw it at the young blonde teenager. But before it could hit him. He spun around and caught the blade between two fingers and grinned back at Anko. "If this didn't work last time. What makes you believe it would work this time?" HE question her.

"Well I just wanted to make sure that married life isn't making you slow now." Said Anko with a grin.

All eyes went to Naruto as a few of the Genin teams there had gone to the wedding as part of the protection detail us their kage and/or Lord of their lands.

"I think married life is suiting him very well." Said Usagi as she gave Anko a mischievous grin.

Naruto couldn't help but blush at this point for he remember his wedding night and it was a magical night for him. A night he was going to relive once more with Hinata soon. He looked over to where the pale eye Hyuuga girl was and turned bright red.

Anko fallowed his line of sight and smirked as she stalked over to him. Coming up behind him she rested her chin on his shoulder. "Just remember to take it easy on her on your wedding night stud." She told him in a low voice.

That had done it. Naruto was on the ground. He had fainted. Hinata looked away blushing and Usagi glared at Anko. "Really?" She question the raven hair woman behind her husband.

"What I didn't do anything wrong." Said Anko acting innocent and all.

After several second Naruto was up and going again. For Kurama was howling with laughter inside of his seal and had woken Naruto up.

'You know she is right. Once you marry Hinata. You will have to take it easy with her. Unlike Usagi I don't think Hinata is a freak in the sheets.' Said Kurama as he was laughing.

'Shut up.' Ero-Kitsune. Naruto said inside his mind. For he was blushing even more.

"Alright I had my fun. Now I have to get back to explaining the exam." Said Anko as she walked away from Naruto and the others.

"ALRIGHT MAGGOTS. YOU SEE THIS FORM IN MY HAND? THIS IS A WAVER THAT IS KEEPING MYSELF AND THE VILLAGE FROM GETTING IN TROUBLE IF YOU SHOULD DIE IN THE FOREST OF DEATH. IF YOU DO NOT SIGN IT. WELL LET'S JUST SAY BETTER LUCK IN THE NEXT EXAM IN KUMO." Said Anko as she had the Chunin helping her hand out the sheets of paper to be signed by all the hopefuls. It was only three teams that didn't sign it and they left. Figuring it wasn't worth risking their lives for a promotion. They would rather take the next one or just get one in the field.

Off on the sideline a creepy woman wearing a headband for Kusa watched Team 7. She slowly licked her lips as she watched her prey glare at the two blondes of the two and then her eyes shifting to the blonde hair girl next to the blonde hair boy. 'How you haven't aged in the past 16 years Usagi Namikaze if beyond me. But soon I will have your secrets. Very soon.' Thought the woman as she stepped back into the shadows to join her 'Team'.

Usagi had a chill run up her spine as she looked to where the 'woman' once was and back to Naruto and the others. "We have to move quickly. Something isn't right." She told them.

Sasuke just scoffed at her and the others just nodded their heads to the girl.

Thirty minutes had gone by and all the Team where at different doors leading into the forest of death. "The plan is to meet up with team 8, 10 and move as a group and gather the scrolls we need on our way to the tower." Said Naruto as Usagi and Sakura nodded their heads.

"I don't understand why we have to waste our time with those losers." Said Sasuke as he turned away from his teammates.

"We'll be stronger in numbers as well we can over come any team we happen upon." Said Sakura shocking the others for she had finally spoken more than two words since they got there.

Sasuke just scuffed but he was out voted and if he wanted to move on to the final stage of the exam, he needed his teammates and right now he wasn't in the mood. Maybe he couldn't take this out on whoever they find.

The buzzer went off and all the Genin shot though the open gates to meet their fates in this dark and evil forest before them.

Uzumaki compound

Atlas stood in the garden watching Haku train with her planet powers. "Good you are doing well young Mercury. As the new Princess of that planet your duty is to Protect our Princess and Future Queen Serenity. But as she said in the past future she had seen. She was known as Neo-Queen Serenity." He told the girl.

"That is something I would like to ask you about Atlas." Said Haku drawing the large man over to her.

"What is your question my dear?" Asked Atlas as he looked at the raven hair girl who now had blue highlights in her hair.

Haku looked at Atlas a little worried. "I worry that I will not live up to the title that I have excepted as a Sailor Scout and Guardian. I fear that I will be two weak to help when I am truly needed." She told him.

Atlas smiles at her. "My dear that isn't weakness. You are learning the truths about your new powers and what all you are able to do with them. It will take time. But in time you will grow stronger. But you have one thing that the original Mercury didn't. You have ninjutsu and an ice bloodline. That makes you ten times stronger than what she was in her life. She could only use her power when she was transformed. While you can use then whenever. Even when you are not transformed you are able to draw on Mercury's power and use it. This makes me wonder if she wasn't the true guardian of the planet but a filler until the true guardian awoken." He told her with a smile.

Haku nodded her head as she was listening to what the man had to say as Zabuza, and the outer watched from the sidelines.

Haruka looks over at Zabuza. "He does make a good point. For the four inner guardians were the weakest of all the scouts. Queen Serenity had always told us to take them under our wings and train them. But each time we had tried. Only Sailor Jupiter would ever train with us." She told the man next to her.

"Well Haruka our training to them was a little over the top." Said Michiru as she smiled at her friend and former lover.

"Don't give me that bs. If little Hotaru could keep up with us. They had nothing to bitch about. During that time Hotaru was only what 6 years old and she was already able to kick their asses. Only Usagi was the strongest of us all." Said Haruka as she looked over at Hotaru.

"Well Usagi is strong but she would only become stronger if she ever became Sailor Cosmos. But that doesn't look like it will be happening any time soon. Maybe if we stayed on Earth. But even then, becoming Sailor Cosmos was a last-ditch effect if we all died." Said Setsuna as she looked away from the others.

"How do you know this?" Question Zabuza as he was finding these women very interesting and strange at times.

"For her father is Krono that God of time and space." Said Hotaru as she was getting tried of just sitting around wanted something to do.

Zabuza just nodded his head. "So with the new inner scouts awakening. There powers might be stronger than the last ones?"

"Yeah. Most likely. But only time will tell." Said Haruka as she smiled at the man next to her and took his hand. Zabuza squeezed her hand with his. He had grown close to her in a short time and felt she was the one that he had been seeking all his life.

Forest of Death

All three teams moved though out the forest as one. They had taken out six teams and had all the scrolls needed for the tower. They made quick time to just being two miles from the tower.

"Alright. We can stop for a short break. We are about two miles from the tower." Said Naruto as he looked at the others. They all nodded their heads as they fell to the forest floor and took out water or something to snack on.

"I still can't believe how we made quick work of those teams and found that one girl that is related to you Naruto." Said Kiba as he was sitting on the ground giving Akamaru water.

"Yeah, it sucks her team was killed by that bear. But we where lucky to find her when we did, and my clone already got her back to the main gate to Anko." Said Naruto as he took a drink of water.

Not to far away stood the strange woman watching her prey. 'It would be to risky to attack them now. I know I am more powerful then they are. But they have numbers and that could tip the scale to their favor. I could use that wind jutsu to separate them. But with that it would only take a few and mostly knock out one or two of them. Still not in my favor.' She thought to herself as he pet laid on a branch next to her.

"Soon I will get the last Uchiha." She told the large snake as they vanished into the shadows.

Naruto and Usagi looked up to the tree where the woman once was. "She has been fallowing us." Said Usagi in a whisper.

"I know. I think she is after someone here. For she was watching us when we got to the forest." Said Naruto as they both nodded to each other.

"Are we done here?" Demanded Sasuke as he was growing tried of this little field trip.

Everyone stood up. The sooner they got to the tower the sooner this would be over and only Team 7 had to deal with their team diva.

After packing up and moving on out. The two-mile run was nothing. They where the second team to make it to the two in under four hours. The first being the team from Suna with the crimson hair girl.

Gaara sat in her room watching her siblings talk as she was growing bored of their company and was starting to get a little hungry as well. Sitting up in bed Gaara swung her legs over the edge of her bed. This stopped her brother and sister from talking for they feared they had done something to set the girl off once more on them.

"Ga-Gaara is everything alright?" Question her brother with the "War Paint" makeup.

Gaara narrowed her teal eyes at him. "Everything is fine. I am just going to go get something to eat and get away from you two for a little while." She told them in a cold raspy voice.

They both quickly nodded their heads and allowed her to leave. They didn't want to end up like the team they faced in the forest.

With that said Gaara exited the room and made her way down the hallway to the cafeteria that they had been told about once they had entered the tower.

Down in the cafeteria one could find Naruto Uzumaki and Usagi Uzumaki having lunch. The others had gone on to get a shower in before they would join the two for something to eat.

"There Ramen is alright. But it still isn't as good as the old man's." Said Naruto as he was eating his eighth bowl of ramen.

Usagi smiled up at him as she was eating some steam dumplings. "Well I am still trying to get that recipe from him. But he told me I will get on his death bed." She told him with a tease as she watched her husband pout at her.

This is where we find Gaara walking into as she had gone to get something to eat. She walks into the Cafeteria seeing the two blondes' from the wedding her father made her attend. They had the look of no care in the world as they ate and chatted away. Gaara walked past them and to where they had the food. She never saw the Crimson hair man appear next to them.

"It appears my sister and her host are here. It is no better time to have a nice little talk with them." Said Kurama getting both Naruto and Usagi to look at him and then to the girl that was getting some Ramen and Dumplings.

Naruto smiled at the girl as Gaara looked at him strangely. "Come sit with us." He told her. Shrugging her shoulders Gaara walked over to the young couple and sat down across from them and looked up at the crimson hair man.

"Shukaku take your human form and come out here and face me." Ordered Kurama as he was staring straight though Gaara.

'Tell him I said no.' Cried Shukaku as she didn't want to face her brother and Commander of the nine knights.

"Mother doesn't want to come out." Said Gaara.

Kurama grinned. "She can come out on her own or I will go in there and get her."

This made everyone look up at him. "How would you do that?" Question Naruto as he was wanting to know how Kurama could go into another seal and pull another Biju out.

Just then a woman with long blue flowing hair and golden eyes appear before the group with sun kissed tan skin and blue leather armor with a battle skirt. "Fine, I don't need you breaking my already messed up seal." Said Shukaku as she was now glaring at Kurama.

Gaara looked at the woman next to her with wide eyes. "How are you out of your seal?" She question with a slight panic in her raspy voice.

Shukaku looked over at her host and grinned. "As long as I'm in this form I can leave your body whenever I wish. But up until now. I haven't had the need to." She told the girl.

Gaara just nodded her head not knowing what to do or say to this. So the only thing she could do at the moment was just eat a so what was all she did.

"Gaara your Biju is part of this boys royal army and his personal bodyguard. By the time these exams are over. I will be removing Shukaku from you or you will be giving the option to stay with him. But Shukaku will be spending a lot of her time outside of her seal as she will be training with the others to keep our prince and princess safe and get them ready to ascend to their roles of the future rulers on this planet." Said Kurama.

"If you take my mother I would be lost, and I will die. For she is tried to my lifeforce." Said Gaara as she is now glaring at Kurama.

With the others

Sakura had finished her shower and gotten dressed to go meet the others. She stopped and turned to Sasuke. "Sasuke-kun I'm leaving. Will you be joining us soon?" She asked him.

Sasuke just glared at her and walked into the bathroom. Never saying a word.

Sakura just sighed and left her room as she was met by Ino and Hinata. "Are you ready?" Asked Ino as she grinned at her former friend. Sakura just nodded her head as she fallowed the two girls that where soon joined by the others.

Alone in his shared room Sasuke took a long shower thinking everything over. Getting upset that everyone hung off of everything Naruto said, and no one gave him the time of day.

Getting out of the shower and just in his boxers Sasuke walked out of the bathroom and found the same woman that had been fallowing them sitting on his bed.

"What are you doing in here?" Demanded Sasuke as he held his towel covering his body from the woman. He wasn't sure if she was going to trying something or just what the hell was going to happen.

"I'm just here to give you a little gift Sasuke-kun." She told him with a grin.

Arching his brow is looked at the woman. "I don't want nothing from you. Now get out of here!" He ordered her. But all she did was laugh at him. Before he knew it, her neck grew, and she was biting him on his shoulder.

"Soon, Sasuke you will find me for power." She told him as she vanished from his room and he fell to the floor. The last he remember was seeing a snake slither past him before his world went dark.

Outside the village gates

Stood several men two one could clearly tell they are from IWA and then another man in a blue Kimono and lastly a man in green leather armor with something covering his right eye. They all looked at each other. The man in green spoke up first.

"It has been awhile brothers and sister. Our Prince has been found and if he has been found that only mean he has found his Princess." He said as the other men looked at him a little puzzled when he had said sister.

That was until the Biju's inside of them left their bodies in human forms next to the two men with the brown vest stood two men in leather armor on in brown and the other in red. Next to the man in the kimono stood a woman with long white hair with white armor.

"It has been a while brothers." Said the woman as she smirked at them.

"What is going on here?" Asked the man in the kimono.

The Biju looked over at him. "We have made you all come here to find out lord and his bride. We are his protectors and unlucky for us. We got stuck inside of you humans. Yes we can leave you all when ever we wish as long as we are in this form." She told her host as she looked back to her three brothers who nodded their heads.

With Sasuke

Sasuke slowly woke up and saw a note next to his head.

"Sasuke-kun once you want more power come find me."

Orochimaru

Sasuke burned the note and slowly stood up. He could feel the pain on his shoulder and went over to the mirror to see the 'hickey' on his shoulder. "Just great." Grumbled Sasuke as he stood up and finished dressing to join the others to get something to eat.
