Chapter 28

It was the eve of the 5th day in the Forest of Death and Shukaku had sold Suna out on their plan on joining Oto on overthrowing the Leaf Village.

Gaara and her siblings along with Naruto and Usagi sat before the Hokage as Kurama glared at his baby sister.

"Tell the old man what you told us." Ordered Kurama as he was now standing before the Hokage.

Sarutobi needless to say almost had a heart attack if it wasn't for Tsunade for knocking some since into him.

Shukaku glared back at Kurama. "Gaara is to set me lose during the third part of the chunin exams. For we all know she will be making it to that stage."

"But why? Are we not Allies?" Asked a worried Sarutobi as he was confused to why an ally was doing this.

Temari looked at the old leader. "It is because of our Wind Lord. He is sending all our missions to your country while we are just making ends meet." She told him.

"I see." Said Tsunade as she looks at the children before her. "Wasn't your late mother the Wind Lord's sister?" She asked them.

"Our mother was his daughter." Said Kankuro as he felt like speaking up.

"What will happen to them?" Asked Naruto as he was worried for them. He knew this was something they didn't want to do.

Tsunade looked over at her Godson and at Usagi with a sigh. "They will become prisoners of war most likely."

Temari was now crying as Kankuro was holding his sister. Gaara didn't care either way. Her fate was sealed the second Shukaku was sealed within her.

"There has to be something we can do for them. I can't stand to see them treated that way. They did nothing wrong." Said Naruto as he was growing upset as the sun mark appeared on his forehead.His royal power over taking him because of his heighten emotional state.

Sarutobi sat there for a moment looking at the two teenage girls. "You could marry one of the girls to straighten the peace between both villages." He said as he looks at Naruto.

"Why me?" Question Naruto as he was now shocked.

Sarutobi looked over at Naruto with a sad smile on his face. "You are a noble as well the son of a kage the first the be place into political marriages. Unless you want her to marry the last Uchiha?" He asked the last part knowing that Naruto wouldn't force the poor girl into a marriage with the teme.

"No. I will step up and do what is asked of me as the son of a kage." Said Naruto as he looks at Gaara.

Gaara looks at him. "It could be worst." She said as she looks at her siblings.

"What do we tell sensei?" Ask Kankuro as he looks to the closed office door.

"You tell him nothing. For you will act if nothing has happened. I will draft a political marriage contract for Naruto and Gaara. I'll send it to your father. Telling him that Gaara has taken a liking to the boy and wishes to Marry him." Said Sarutobi as he looks at the teens in his office.

"That is fine. For father has been seeking anyone to give Gaara too for a while." Said Temari as she had been in her father's office as he was seeking anyone willing to marry her sister. For he didn't want the girl in the village anymore. She was too much trouble and the people feared her.

Gaara looked to her sister. "I knew he wanted me gone." She said in a cold raspy voice as she stood up and stood before Naruto. "We will Marry the day before the 3rd exam." With that said she walked out of the makeshift office.

Leaving Naruto there with wide eyes. He wasn't to marry anyone for a while. He thought he could marry Gaara after he and Hinata had wed in December. But it looked like things had been changed once more. He will need to tell his future bride of the new sister-wife that is joining the family.

All the Genin that had made it to the tower that evening had been given the night to rest and get clean up. For a few had some injuries that needed tending.

The next morning there was nine teams standing before the Hokage and all the sensei. Four teams from Konoha, one team from Suna, one team Oto, one teams from Kumo, one time from Kiri and finally from Iwa. All together there was 27 Chunin hopefuls.

The Oto team, Iwa team, and Kumo teams all had their eyes on one team and one team alone. That was Team 7. Out of all the team that was the team to beat. Iwa had made it person for who Naruto's father was and now that Usagi is married to the boy. They are also gunning for the girl. Oto wanted to test out Sasuke's little gift and if he proved to be too weak, they are to kill him if any of them face them. Kumo for they wanted to see how strong the holder of the nine-tail was. For the blonde boy was different from all other holders. Even Killer Bee had nothing on him.

Team 8 was worried for their teammate for the past she had with Kumo and their past Raikage. But they couldn't hold the new Raikage for the actions of his father. For not all men are cut from the same cloth. That was the hope that Hinata had in her heart. The other worry they was the other team from Konoha that Hinata's cousin in on. For Neji holds a deep hatred for the heiress that the girl had no control of what happen to her so long ago.

This is going to be a very short chapter the next chapter I will have the filler matches before the 3rd stage. This chapter was just a set up.
