Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Horde of Horrors. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own She-Ra, Mattel and a few others do.
Brennus hummed and brushed off his armor as the group of skiffs roared up to the gates of the city.
"Why are the forests charred?" Brennus questioned as he leapt from the vehicle. "Hmm, I can feel a lot of power in this area." Brennus said and watched a squad of soldiers' march pass him.
Catra said nothing as she hummed and looked around with interest. She did indeed notice that the forest around them was burnt to nothing. She looked at Brennus who hummed and tapped his armored fingers on his arms.
"Hmm, there's still some energy left over from the Spirit Ember around here." Entrapta said to which Brennus crossed his arms.
"Power lingers." Brennus said and turned to Spyder. "Spy, how about you scout the area. You are far more… Inconspicuous then me." Brennus said as his brother nodded and raised his hand.
Catra watched as Spyder was pulled onto the stone wall before digging his clawed hands in. He scuttled away out of sight as Scorpia blinked.
"So, crown prince, huh?" Scorpia questioned to which Brennus let out a hum.
"Yes. I've heard the Horde doesn't like royalty…" Brennus said as he crossed his arms once more. "Just as I hate rebels. Someone on my homeworld had lowered the planetary shields. There is no reason Skeletor's forces could have bypass it otherwise." Brennus said as he, Catra, Scorpia, Entrapta, and a wave of Horde bots approached the location.
"I would have taken Brightmoon by now if it wasn't for those stupid princesses." Catra said, earning Brennus's gaze as he looked over at her with interest.
"Brightmoon is the capital of these rebels?" Brennus questioned as Catra hummed. "Then why not simply besiege it? Does the Horde lack the ability to attack a city on such a scale?" Brennus asked as Scorpia tapped her claws together.
"Well, funny story? Her friend Ado…" Scorpia started to say before Catra glared at the force captain. "Enemy, Adora… Has this magic sword that transforms her into She-Ra. She's the big warrior girl. Oh! And the princesses also kinda have magic runestones." Scorpia put in to which Brennus shook his head.
"They use baubles to give themselves power?" Brennus asked as they passed under the stone arch. "Then they are not warriors at all. On my planet? Skill determines battle. Power without training is worth nothing. I will show them when we confront them." Brennus said as the group stopped in a main chamber.
"Entrapta, what does that scanner say?" Catra questioned as Entrapta looked at the scanner on Emily.
"Oh, that there's some heat signatures in the chamber above us." Entrapta reported before blinking. "Actually, over a dozen. Neat, huh?" Entrapta questioned to which Brennus hummed.
"It seems the princesses brought soldiers here." Brennus said as Catra nodded. "I shall confront the princesses." Brennus said while Scorpia hummed at this.
"I'll go get the soldiers for backup then." Scorpia said as Brennus nodded.
"Good thinking, an ambush is a good move." Brennus said which made the scorpion girl smile as she turned and left the chamber.
"Entrapta, go do your science thing." Catra ordered as Emily carried the Horde scientist away. "Where's your brother?" Catra asked Brennus before a cloud of dirt slowly sprinkled down.
Catra sneezed as Spyder slowly descended on a web line slowly. He hung over his brother and Catra.
"So," Spyder said and hummed for a moment. "There's like 6 people in the room ahead. I saw some of them head out to 'secure the permitter'. I guess the purple girl in there is the crown princess?" Spyder reported to which Catra and Brennus shared a look.
"Glimmer." Catra said as Spyder dropped down next to them. "She can teleport and has energy blasts or something? She's the princess's leader." Catra said before one of her ears twitched.
She turned only for Brennus to reach up, willing his arm to go faster as he plucked an arrow from the air.
Brennus snapped the head off the weapon and dropped it to the ground before looking up.
A teen with a bow and arrow alongside a girl with flowers braiding her hair and a pink dress stood above.
"Aw, man." The teen said while Brennus looked at Catra. "These arrows aren't easy to make." The teen stated and watched Brennus shake his head.
"Did you really expect that to work?" Brennus asked and turned to Catra. "Now then, perhaps a surrender is in order… For you." Brennus said with a smirk.
Bow watched as Brennus cracked his neck and knuckles before drawing his sword. Spyder waved as Catra extended her claws and smirked.
"Uh, can't we talk about this?" Bow questioned before Catra and Brennus charged forward.
Bow quickly fired another arrow which Brennus sliced apart, the arrow cleaved in 2. He knew for a fact that these warriors were rebels from the way Catra reacted to them.
The flower wearing girl raised her hands as the vines covering the walls extended towards them. Brennus rushed to the side as Catra kicked off the plants, vaulting towards the duo
Spyder raised a hand and fired another web line from the palm of his hand at the plant woman.
Brennus started hacking at the plants which started to wrap around his armor. He blinked and looked at the flower girl who shrieked as she was thrown from her perch by the web line.
"Got you, big brother!" Spyder said as he began firing more webs to capture the girl.
Bow was about to run before Catra landed a kick to his head, knocking him to the ground.
"Like my new buddies?" Catra asked as Spyder held up the flower girl.
Catra smirked while Spyder dropped the flower girl, making sure she couldn't hurt them. He tossed the girl up and fired another web line, trapping her like a fly on some massive web.
"Thank you, Spy." Brennus said to which his brother smiled at this. "But somehow I doubt this is over at the moment." Brennus said while they left the princess behind.
"Now then, where's Adora?" Catra asked Bow as Brennus and Spyder ascended up towards the ledge. "I know she's here; you and your little commander princess wouldn't be here without them." Catra stated before Brennus and Spyder finally climbed up once more.
"Catra!" They heard from the doorway as the duo turned to see the others.
"Told you this wasn't over…" Brennus said before readying to engage the group once more.
Catra grinned as Adora, Glimmer, Mermista, and Frosta emerged from the doorway.
"Who's those guys with her?" Frosta asked as Catra grinned with amusement.
"Hey Adora." Catra said with a smirk.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be delayed for a bit. Next chapter is in 2-10 months and will show Brennus, Catra, and Spyder fighting the Princesses and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter is 900-1200 words. And no, Brennus and Spyder aren't supposed to be overpowered, they caught them off guard.
