Chapter 5

"How is Rory?" Christopher asked as Lorelai walked down the stairs into the living room while he sorted and folded a fresh batch of clean laundry. Lorelai put the phone back on the cradle and sat down on the floor next to GG, who was drawing. She pulled a t-shirt towards herself and started to fold it.

"She's not so great, actually."

"Oh no. What's the matter?"

"Things are still shaky with Logan. He's being a jerk- ".

"Lorelai" Christopher exclaimed interrupting her.

"Her words not mine!"

"Still. Don't say words like 'jerk' in front of the K-I-D." He winked at her.

"Please, you know how she gets when she's drawing. We could start dancing the cancan and she wouldn't notice." Lorelai replied with a smile, and ran her fingers through GG's hair lovingly. GG leaned her head into Lorelai's hand but otherwise did not turn her attention away from the paper in front of her.

Christopher gave a soft chuckle and placed the shirt he had just folded onto its respective pile. "You were saying about Logan and Rory?" He asked turning to sort the socks.

"Well, if you won't let me embellish the story with colourful adjectives it's no fun. Basically, they had a fight and now Rory wants to go to Mia's wedding. Sorry."

"Why are you sorry? It'll be great."

"Well, the original plan was for us to have some… adult time." She lowered her voice at the end, not entirely trusting that GG wouldn't pick up on their conversation.

"I know, I know. But still, a road trip with Rory will be great! We've never done that, all of us together."

"God, you're cute." Lorelai laughed at him and he threw a pair of her socks he had just bundled at her.

"I'm serious. It's something I have always wanted to do with you two, especially when I had my bike."

"Well, the Volvo will have to do, because I'm not sitting on the back of a bike all the way to Charlotte." She threw the socks back at him but he caught them easily and placed them on the basket of clothes that would go upstairs to their bedroom.

"But if Rory is coming we should bring GG too. I know my mom said she could take her, but she had her a lot already when Richard was in the hospital. And it should be the whole family. We can stop and eat bad roadside food and visit those terribly corny attractions like the Three-Headed Lobster of Maine. I know we won't actually go see the Three-Headed Lobster of Maine because that's the other way, but you know what I mean. Oh, and we'll need a playlist! Of course, I had some songs in mind already, but I'll have to add some other stuff for Rory and GG. And snacks, too! I know GG didn't grow up with you, but she can snack like a Gilmore girl, let me tell ya. And with Rory, we'll definitely need to go prepared. I'll buy us a cooler tomorrow."

Lorelai really wanted to drop a joke or pop culture reference to make fun of Christopher, but he was being too adorable, his eyes practically twinkling with excitement. It was very likely that Christopher had in fact always dreamed of road tripping with his girls and just never got the chance. It made her a little sad to think about, but also really happy that they would finally be able to do it. "We have a cooler in the garage. I'll go get it when we're done with the laundry."

"This is the last of it, actually." He said, finishing bundling up a pair of socks and placing them on the GG pile. He was about to get up and take the pile to GG's room when Lorelai stopped him.

"Wait, hon. That pair of socks in mine, not GG's."

Christopher frowned and picked up the socks for a closer inspection. "These? But they are fuzzy and have rainbow unicorns on them."

"What's your point?"

"Forget I asked." He said putting the socks on Lorelai's pile and walking to GG's room.

-Pirates on Skates-

Christopher was having the time of his life! He had always really loved road trips, but this was something else entirely. Having both his daughters and the love of his life in the car with him, singing along to the playlist he had prepared, playing road trip games, taking turns driving and stopping at weird roadside attractions was everything he could have ever hoped for and more. In one go, a drive from Hartford to Charlotte would take a little less than 12 hours. With a young child and two Gilmore girls on board, boredom and a constant need for snacks and toilet breaks meant that they decided to break the drive into 3 days. That gave them plenty of time to spend quality time together actually enjoying themselves without feeling cooped up in a car for too long. And it meant they could go a bit out of their way to see some of those quintessential American roadside attractions.

Their first attraction was Wild Bills Prop House just a couple of hours into their trip. This nostalgia store had wall-to-wall lunch boxes, trading cards, stickers, toys, action figures, posters, and records. Lorelai went crazy browsing all the collectables that she wanted to have as a kid but was never allowed. Christopher was completely enthralled by the motorcycle trading cards and declared the 45 minutes it took him to find his beloved 2000 Indian card and the $40 it cost to buy it completely worth it. Rory took advantage of her parents' distraction to bag a secret purchase for their first anniversary (even though it was still many months away): a The Police six-disc vinyl LP box set. She also found another copy of the Gogos LP she had once bought her mum for a graduation present but ended up forgetting in a bus. Unfortunately, this copy was not signed by Belinda Carlisle, as the previous copy had been, but it was still Lorelai's favourite group when she was 16.

After Wild Bills, they also stopped at Eddie's Toy Museum, The Crayola Store and Mister Ed's Elephant Museum, all in Pennsylvania. GG in particular loved the Crayola Store and walked away from it the proud owner of a 124-colour watercolour pencils set. The Elephant museum, with its' more than 12,000 elephant figurines, was just the perfect amount of weird and creepy and thrilled all four of them.

It was now the final day of their road trip and, after the days' attractions of Shenandoah Caverns and Udderly Chick (a larger than life size sculpture of a Cow-Chicken combo hatching out of an egg), Lorelai and GG were worn out and had fallen deeply asleep in the backseat of the car, with the promise that they would be woken up at Winky's, just off I-85, for a lobster dinner. Christopher was driving and Rory was sitting shot gun. A classic Rock radio station was playing lowly so not to wake Lorelai and GG. Rory and Christopher were chatting, but Rory's phone would frequently vibrate with incoming calls and text messages, mostly from Logan. As the latest of these calls came in, Rory once again checked her phone to see who was calling and promptly pressed ignore when she saw Logan's name. Christopher had noticed Rory ignoring Logan's calls for the past two days and had refrained from saying anything so far, but could no longer help himself.

"You're very popular these days." He said casually.

"Urgh, I'm sorry. I know it's annoying." Rory said with a sigh. "I would turn my phone off, but I'm expecting to hear back from some job applications and interviews, so I have to have it on." She explained apologetically.

"If you want to answer and talk to him, you can. I don't mind."

"No way. When he wants to blow off steam and takes off to Vegas or goes base jumping off cliffs he is completely unreachable. Well, this is me blowing off steam, so for once he is the one that has to wait." Rory replied with a definite sharpness in her voice.

They were silent for a tense moment. "So, you blow off steam by going on a three-day family road trip to Charlotte?" Christopher mocked Rory, hoping to bring a bit of levity to her mood.

"Well, we can't all be Mr. Life and Death Brigade." She laughed.

They were silent again for a few moments before Christopher spoke again.

"You know, road tripping was always my way of blowing off steam as well."

"Really?" Rory asked surprised.

"Oh yeah. I did it all the time. Whenever things would just get to be too much, I'd take off driving. Something about just me and the road ahead, putting literal miles between me and my problems, you know?" Rory nodded but did not reply.

"Of course, it's all crap." Chris continued. "You can never get away from your problems. Your baggage always comes along for the ride. But for me, that always felt like the only thing I could do. My problems always felt like things I could never actually solve except by running away. When I got my bike, it got even more intense. On the bike I didn't even have a radio or music to distract me. Just me, the sound of the bike, the wind, and the road. It really forced me to sit with my thoughts and try to figure things out." Chris was on a roll now. He had never actually talked about all of this to anyone.

"One day, after yet another fight my with father about what a disappointment I was, to him, to the family name, to all of Hartford, I got on my bike and I took off. And I didn't stop until I literally hit the Pacific Ocean." Rory was watching him intently now. "It was the best thing I ever did, moving to California. I realised that if I couldn't be that picture-perfect son my dad had in his mind, and follow all of his wishes to the letter, the only way for me to eventually have a relationship with him was to cut him out of my life. Putting the whole country between us finally gave me the space to live my life without trying to appease him, or trying make him proud."

"But, while it was the best thing I ever did…" He continued. "It was also the worst thing I ever did. And my biggest regret to this day."

"Why?" Asked Rory, so completely enthralled by Christopher's story, his calm even tone and his genuine words.

"Because it also meant I left you." He replied, with more hurt than she had ever seen in his eyes before.

For a second, Rory had forgotten who she was talking to. She hadn't considered that her father's story was, in a significant way, also her story. She had had such a solid and stable childhood with her mother, that she often didn't feel a huge father-shaped whole in her life. She had once heard her father say to Lorelai how he didn't realise him much he missed Rory until he was with her. She felt very much the same. The majority of the time growing up, she felt fine and fulfilled. And it was only when Christopher came to visit that she consciously realised how much more of him she wished she could have in her life. Now, as an adult, she was aware that this reflected how good a mother Lorelai was. How good she was at making sure that Rory was emotionally supported, even with one of her parents being essentially AWOL.

Now, sitting in this car listening to Christopher talk about his struggles with conforming with his father's plan for him, the main thing Rory was thinking of was Logan's very similar situation with Mitchum, and not her own part in Christopher's story.

"I mean it, Rory." Christopher continued after a few moments of silence from Rory. "I'll never regret anything as much as I regret not being a better father to you."

"Dad – "

"I'm so sorry. I was immature and selfish and… a coward, really. Not brave enough to deal with the consequences of my actions. And definitely not brave enough to understand that those consequences were the best thing in my life. That YOU were the best thing in my life."

"But you wanted to. I know you did. You wanted to marry mom and be with her, like your parents said you should."

"That's true, I did. But don't you see even now how wrong that would have been?" He questioned gently. "Your mother… God, she was always strong and independent and so brave. She knew, even then, that us conforming to that Hartford life would be the death of us. I mean, we spent at least half of our time complaining about our parents and the path they had designed for us. And suddenly, just because she's pregnant, we were supposed to accept all of it? I was scared. Overwhelmed by everything. I just wanted to make everything ok and everyone in my life was saying that conforming would make it ok. But Lorelai was already leaps and bounds ahead of me. She was barely able to stand that life for herself. She knew right away she would not put you through it. She was getting you out of there and nothing and no one would get in her way." They shared a couple of small smiles at that, both having huge appreciation for the force that was Lorelai Gilmore.

"You know, I've loved your mother my whole life. Probably since the day I met her when we were 6 years old. Definitely since she kissed me for the first time." They laughed.

"Yeah, you told me about that. She just wanted to know what it would feel like."

"Yeah, exactly. I've been trying to be a good enough man for her for years. Since before you were born, really." He stole a glance at Lorelai on the rear-view mirror, completely asleep in the back seat. "She has definitely made me work for it. Still does. But I owe most of the man I am to her. She taught me to be a man over years of putting you before everything and not letting anyone interfere in your life together, and specially sending me on my way the few times I tried to insert myself back in her life. And it was definitely her example that showed me I had to break away from my father's grasps if I wanted any hope of standing on my own two feet. Without all of that, I would not have been able to raise GG on my own. I'm so thankful to her for that. But I will always regret not learning these lessons soon enough to be able to be there for you. I'm sorry." Christopher reached over and took Rory's hand, looking into her eyes as much as he could, considering he was driving.

"You're here now." Rory replied, squeezing his hand.

"And I promise I always will be. I love you, Rory."

"I love you too, dad."

-Pirates on Skates-

After another few hours of driving, and a very filling lobster dinner, the Gilmore-Hayden family finally arrived in Charlotte. The next day, all properly rested, they made their way to Mia's house for her wedding. It was a fairly casual affair. Lorelai was wearing a purple green and black fitted dress in a bold geometrical print. Rory wore a more flowy dress, in orange and cream. GG wore a cute knee length summer dress with a white bodice and white cream and green stripped skirt. Christopher was also dressed casually, in a light grey suit jacket and slacks and a white shirt. He had come prepared to finish the look with a tie, but Lorelai convinced him to go sans tie.

Arriving at the house, Lorelai didn't even knock. She just opened the door and walked right in. The door opened to a hall and an open plan living area going both ways around a stair case leading to the upper floor. The house was already quite busy with people, all dressed smart but casually and standing in small groups chatting and drinking. On shelves on the wall, Christopher spotted more than one photograph featuring a younger Lorelai and a much younger Rory. Christopher didn't know much about Mia, but he knew that she meant a lot to both his Gilmore girls and had been the owner of the Independence Inn where Lorelai first worked as a maid before slowly climbing the ranks to Manager over the years. Mia had not only given Lorelai a job, despite the fact the at the time teenage mother had no work experience or skills to speak off, but also allowed Lorelai and Rory to live in the small flower shed in the back garden of the Inn, since Lorelai had nowhere else to go after she left Hartford with 1-year old Rory. Christopher had visited Lorelai and Rory in their little shed a few times during the time they lived there. In those occasions, he had heard all about Mia's kindness and open mindedness. About how she often acted more like a mother to Lorelai than Emily every had. He had never had the chance to meet Mia in person, however. In his mind, meeting her now was way overdue.

Lorelai and Rory were also inspecting the photos on the shelves, with Lorelai mocking Rory about a photo of her spinning on a rug in the entrance of the Inn as she often did ("I bet you threw up five seconds after this photo was taken") when a short haired woman approached them with very energetic greetings.

"You're here! Lorelai, hi!" she said with arms literally wide open. She gave both Gilmore girls warm tight hugs. "Did you find it alright?" She asked, referring to the house.

"Yes, yes. Chris has a GPS." Lorelai replied, turning to Christopher and GG who still stood by the wall of photos.

"Christopher." Mia said to him warmly, moving in to hug him too. "It is so nice to finally meet you."

"The pleasure is all mine, Mia. I have heard so much about you throughout the years, I feel like I know you already."

"You know…" Mia said. "I feel exactly the same. Still, I'm so glad that you are here."

"Thank you very much for having us."

"And who is this?" Mia asked, looking down at GG, who was standing slightly behind her father's legs.

Christopher puller GG gently from behind him, putting his hands on her shoulders and planting her in front of him. "This is GG. GG, this is Mia. She is the one getting married today."

"Hi Miss Mia. Thank you for inviting us." GG said politely, giving her hostess a genuine but shy smile.

"You are very welcome, my dear! I wish all my guests were as polite and pretty as you. Please, come into the party. We have tones of foods and drinks." Mia lead all of them further inside the house. "Oh, please sign the guess book." She stopped them in front of a small round table with a thick guestbook on it. Lorelai and Rory moved to sign it right away but GG spoke again.

"I can sign my name and I can draw you a picture if you'd like."

"Can you really? I would love that!" Mia replied happily.

"GG is a real artiste, isn't that right Geege?" Lorelai said warmly, running her hand over the girl's hair. GG, ever so modest, simply shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm still learning, but I just got new pencils in lots of pretty colours."

"Thank you so much, GG. Howard and I will love it. The book is right here, so feel free to draw whatever you like."

"Speaking of, where is Howard?" Lorelai asked Mia who turned around to look for her husband to be. Meanwhile, Christopher crouched down to GG's level as he finished signing the guest book.

"That was very nice of you to offer a drawing, GG. I'm proud of you". He said to her and gave her a gentle kiss on the temple.

"It really was, GG." Rory agreed, also bending over to be closer to the little girl's height. "Mia loves paintings and art, so I'm sure she'll really love whatever you draw for her."

"What do you think I should draw?" Asked GG, suddenly feeling a little insecure.

"Hum…" Rory thought for a moment. "How about you watch the party and look around their house a bit to see what kind of things they like? You might get inspired."

"Good idea. Thanks." GG said, already letting her eyes wander around the room, taking everything in. Rory and Christopher stood up, Christopher pulling Rory close and pressing a kiss to her temple as well. It really warmed his heart to see his daughters interacting and being so wonderful. Somehow, despite all of his shortcomings as a man and a father, both his daughters had turned out strong, independent and kind humans and he couldn't be happier.

After introducing Howard to everyone, Mia excused herself, Lorelai and Rory to touch up her makeup and hair for the ceremony. Howard showed Christopher and GG to where the ceremony would be taking place and they took some seats. The ceremony was lovely and brief. Mia and Howard exchanged homemade vows and simple classic gold wedding bands. Then, the chairs were all moved into a more informal formation and the toasts started. Lorelai's toast of a poem with some very questionable rhymes was a hit with the crowd, everyone laughing both at her and with her. After all the toasts, Mia got up again to thank the people that helped her organise the whole event. At this point, someone approached Rory, who was sitting on the couch with Christopher and had GG on her lap, and told her someone was there to see her. Looking down the hall to the front door, Rory saw none other than Logan, standing there with a guilty look on his face and sending her a small wave.

Rory got up, asking GG to take her place on the couch next to Christopher, and went to talk to Logan.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked him.

"I'm sorry, Ace. I don't mean to crash this. I just need to talk to you."

"How did you even know where I was?"

"I called Paris. She found the invitation. I kept trying your cell but you wouldn't answer."

"Well, that's the advantage of caller ID."

"I get it. You're still mad."

"No kidding."

"But now I'm here so you have to talk me. That's the advantage of showing up in person." Logan said cheekily with his signature dazzling smile, trying to break the tension. But Rory wasn't having it any of it.

"I can't believe you're still doing this. This is so last year's Logan."

"What?"

"You can't just show up out of the blue and pacify me, Logan. I'm not impressed by your grand gestures anymore."

"I'm not trying to do a grand gesture or pacify you, Ace. I just need to tell you what I've been thinking."

"I don't want to hear it! I'm attending the wedding of a close friend. I can't stand here listening to you justify your immature behav-."

"I left the Huntzberger Publishing Group." Logan said abruptly, interrupting Rory.

"You what?"

"You were right. I was being immature. When the deal fell through I couldn't handle it. I had so much invested in it, I just shut down. And I realised my dad was right. I would have fired me if I had been the boss and not the employee. I realised that the only reason I was getting away with it was because of being the boss's son. So I quit."

"But what do you mean you quit? Your dad-"

"I went to him. I was calm, apologetic, no shouting, no threats. I told him I was done being a pawn in whatever games or plans he had for me. That I was going out on my own. I'm officially not working for the Huntzberger Publishing Group anymore."

"Oh my god."

"Yeah. I felt great finally standing up to my dad."

"How did he take it?"

"He put up this cool and collected front, you know? But I'm pretty sure I saw steam coming out of his ears." Logan joked, getting Rory to laugh a little bit. "To be honest, as I was walking out I think I saw glint of pride in his eyes. No one ever says "No" to Mitchum Huntzberger. Maybe not working for him I might be able to have an actual father-son relationship with him, you know?"

"Yeah." Rory replied, thinking back to what her dad had told her just the day before, about having had to do much the same with Straub. She reached for Logan's hand, giving it a light squeeze. "And how are you taking it?"

"I feel good. Tired. But mostly sorry for being a jerk to you. I'm so sorry, Rory." He said genuinely.

Rory pulled him close for a hug, which Logan gratefully accepted. "It's ok, I forgive you. I'm actually really proud of you." She said, turning her head to kiss his cheek.

"Thanks Ace. Now I just need to figure out what the hell I'm going to do."

"Welcome to the real world." She joked as they pulled apart. He laughed along.

"Thanks. I'm loving it so far." He smiled at her again, this time the smile actually reaching his eyes. "Anyway, I don't want to intrude or crash the wedding. I just wanted to talk to you. I'll see you when you get back home."

"Stay." Rory held onto to his hand as he tried stepping away.

"No, Ace, it's ok. I don't have to."

"I'm serious. Stay. I know Mia won't mind. Stay, eat some food, at least rest a bit before getting back in the car."

"Are you sure? You're with your family. I don't want to intrude."

"My family loves you."

Logan responded with one arched eyebrow.

"Ok, my dad loves you." She conceded. "But my mom does like you." She pulled him close to her again when he rolled his eyes at that. "She does! And spending more time with her will only make her like you more." Rory turned around and started leading Logan into the wedding by the hand. "Besides, they have just started giving out cake."

"Well, why didn't you just say that?" Logan grinned, letting himself be dragged into the party by Rory.

Mia had finished giving her thank you speech and was slowly herding people toward the cake. Rory led Logan toward her and Howard.

"Mia, Howard. I wanted to introduce you to my boyfriend, Logan."

"Logan, it is very nice to meet you!"

"The pleasure is mine. Rory always speaks highly about her time at the Independence Inn. I'm sorry for crashing your wedding." Logan said shaking both their hands.

"Not at all! You're more than welcome! Please, make yourself at home. Would you like some cake?" Mia assured him and Howard passed him and Rory plates with cake. "We also have some actual food left as well, if you want some dinner."

"Thank you, I think I'll take you up on that. It's been a long drive."

"I'll take your cake, then." Lorelai's voice came from behind Logan and Rory. She had seen Rory and Logan talking and obviously making up, so she would try and be nice to Logan, for Rory's sake.

"Hi Lorelai." Logan greeted with an easy smile and passed his plate to her. "Here you go. Chris." He said to Christopher, who was coming up behind Lorelai.

"Logan. Good to see you." Christopher shook his hand happily. "Is everything ok? We didn't know you were coming." He asked, eye flitting from Logan to Rory.

"Yes, it was a spontaneous thing, to be honest. Work suddenly cleared up."

"We're going to get some more food; do you want any?" Rory asked her parents.

"No way, kid. It's time for cake." Lorelai took Rory's cake plate from her hands and dumped that slice on top of the slice she had gotten from Logan, making everyone laugh at her.

They all moved to the table, were some seats were now available by the food laid out buffet style. At the very corner of the table, sat GG, watercolour set open beside her and the wedding guest book she had been drawing on throughout the day.

"Hey Geege. Can you make some room for us?" Lorelai asked as they approached the young girl but she was so focused on her work that she only noticed them when Lorelai brushed her hair. GG looked surprised at the intrusion, but that instantly changed to embarrassment when she noticed Logan standing with her family.

"GG, this is Logan. Logan, my little sister GG." Rory introduced them.

"Hi GG, it's nice to meet you." Logan said happily, taking the seat next to GG as indicated by Rory. GG, however, was suddenly very shy and could just about manage to send a small smile his way, along with the involuntary blush that rose to her cheeks.

"How's your drawing coming along, kiddo?" Asked Christopher.

GG shrugged shyly and leaned over to the side a bit for her dad to be able to look over her shoulder at the drawing. GG had finished sketching a scene of Mia and Howard standing at the make-shift altar, facing each other, holding each other's hand and sharing big smiles. Parts of it were already coloured in, with GG currently working on the silvery cream colour of Mia's dress.

"Wow, that's beautiful. Did you draw that?" Logan asked impressed making GG's blush become a couple of shades darker. "You're very talented. Ace, when you told me your sister could draw, you didn't say she was this talented." At this, GG's cheeks almost combusted in heat.

The group sat down around the table, dishing out food, cake and drinks. They all talked for a few minutes, making casual conversation when GG grew the courage to address Logan.

"Are you Rory's boyfriend?"

"I am." He replied, making her grin.

"Do you two kiss?" she asked next, her nose wrinkling in slight disgust.

He mimicked her expression and said "Not if I can help it." He winked at Rory, who was sitting on GG's other side.

"Dad and Lorelai kiss sometimes. It looks weird."

"It feels weird." Logan agreed. "It's all wet and sometimes you can taste what the other person had for dinner, especially if it was onions." His mock disgust face intensified.

"Eww." GG exclaimed, making the adults laugh. "Eric Weiss asked me to be his girlfriend, but I don't want to have to kiss him."

"Excuse me, what?" Christopher interjected. "Who is Eric Weiss?"

"He's my friend from school. He asked me to be his girlfriend, but he gets a tuna sandwich in his lunch box almost every day and I don't like tuna." GG said, continuing to colour her drawing.

Christopher was speechless for a few moments, with Lorelai almost chocking on her cake trying not to laugh out loud at his shocked expression.

"GG" Christopher said. "You're not allowed to date until you are 30!" he exclaimed, making everyone else snort.

"Oh good!" GG said happily. "Can you tell him that? I don't want him to think I don't like him."

"I will love to tell him; don't you worry about that!" Huffed Christopher. The thought of his young daughter dating already was bothering him more than he would have ever expected. Lorelai smiled lovingly at him, and tried to calm him down by laying a hand on his thigh under the table.

After a few moments, GG turned to Logan again. "So, if you don't kiss, what do you and Rory do?"

"Well, we do chores like scrubbing the toilet and weeding the lawn. We also make sure the other has done all their homework and eaten all their veggies. And we wash each other's feet." Logan said, ticking things off his fingers, pretending not to notice as GG's disgust face grew and grew.

GG thought about all of this for a couple of seconds then said. "I'm very happy that I can't date until I'm 30."

"Yeah, it's for the best right?" Logan said solemnly and got vigorous nodding in return from the little girl, who started packing up her pencils back into their case. "So, dating is out, but do you want to dance?" He asked standing from his chair and extending a hand to the little girl, a clear invitation to accompany him to the dance floor.

GG jumped to her feet excitedly after sending a brief glance at her father for permission, and let Logan lead her to the dance floor. Rory, Christopher and even Lorelai watching them go with fond looks on their face.

"God bless Logan Huntzberger." Christopher proclaimed.
