By the time Flora, Fauna, Merryweather, Pain, Panic, and Dementia made it to the gates of Olympus, it was already midnight. They used Hades' chariot to fly themselves to the top of the mountain as fast as they possibly could, but having six drivers driving the same vehicle at the same time caused a very bumpy ride for everyone on board. Then, at last, they finally made it. The whole group climbed out of the chariot, dizzy and on the verge of throwing up.

"Pain, never, ever, ever, EVER let me behind the reins again." Panic said, holding back his vomit.

"Noted." Pain added while he was on the verge of gagging.

"This is it." Flora said as she and her sisters stared up at the golden gates.

"I can hardly believe we're here." Fauna said, starry-eyed.

"Guys, focus. We're not here to play tourist. We need to find the boss and get out of here." Dementia said.

"But how are we supposed to find him?" Merryweather asked.

"Yeah, Olympus is huge. He could be anywhere." Pain chimed in.

"Um, pardon me. But are the gates of Mt. Olympus usually covered in giant spider webs?" Fauna nervously asked as she tied Gotham's reins to a nearby cloud column.

"Spider webs?" Dementia, Pain, and Panic asked before they flew up the stairs. Pain and Panic tried their hardest to open the gates, but nothing they did worked; this spider silk keeping the gate shut was as strong as cement.

Merryweather approached them and asked, "Anything?"

"Nope." Pain and Panic sighed.

"Good." Dementia commented.

"Huh?" Her coworkers asked.

"Guys, we don't need to go through the gates. We just need to get in through there." The little purple imp pointed to a small opening in the upper right hand corner closest to the gate. She turned to the Fairies. "You got the bracelet?" They nodded as Flora took the Dragon's Eye Opal bracelet out from the folds of her cloak and showed it to her. "Great. Let's go." She, Pain, and Panic then transformed into bugs while the three Fairies shrank down to the same size and they all flew up to the opening with the magical bracelet in tow.

As they flew, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather stared in awe at the world around them; they could hardly believe that they were at the very top of Mount Olympus. There were houses, temples, and palaces made of cloud as far as the eye can see; even at night, it was beautiful.

"So gorgeous!" Flora exclaimed.

"Incredible!" Fauna cried.

"There are no words!" Merryweather added.

"Ladies, focus!" Dementia hissed before she surveyed her surroundings. "It's awfully quiet. Normally, there'd be a party or something going on, usually planned by Bacchus."

"So where is everybody?" Fauna asked.

"Maybe everyone went to bed?" Panic asked.

"Wait." Pain suddenly stopped flying, which made everyone else stop too. "Do you hear that?"

"Hear what, dear?" Flora asked as she and her sisters each put a hand to their ears.

"I hear it too." Panic commented.

"Is that… music?" Dementia asked.

"It's coming from the Pantheon." Pain said, pointing a finger in a different direction.

"Maybe Hades is there. Let's go." Merryweather replied as she flew towards the Pantheon; her companions quickly followed after her.

As carefully and quietly as possible, the group flew over to the Pantheon and snuck in through an open window and what they saw made their jaws hit the floor. There was a party going on, but this party was far from a normal Greek God party; the Sirens and Gorgons were singing and dancing to loud music, Empusa, Lamia, and Arachne were eating and gossiping with one another and every God and Goddess of Olympus, including Zeus, was tied up and guarded by either a giant spider or an enormous snake. And at the front of the Pantheon was Persephone lounging on her new throne, eating pomegranates and drinking wine, and laughing with Hecate who was sitting in another cloud throne right beside her. Pain, Panic, Dementia, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather gasped in shock and terror.

"Guys… WHY DOES THE PANTHEON LOOK LIKE A FOUR-WAY PIZZA?!" Panic screamed as he and his fellow imps transformed back into themselves.

"What in the world…?" Flora muttered.

"What's happening?" Merryweather asked.

"It's a Monster Sweet Sixteen Birthday party! How am I supposed to know?!" Pain hissed.

"Those monsters have taken over!" Dementia cried.

"This is terrible!" Fauna exclaimed.

"So Persephone IS behind all this! I knew it! I knew she was a raving lunatic!" Panic commented.

"That's Persephone?!" Flora asked, pointing a finger at the blonde Goddess at the front of the Pantheon. "She looks almost exactly like our Aurora!"

"Don't let that pretty pink exterior fool you. She may look sweet and innocent, but it's all a façade. She's nothing but a spoiled, selfish, cruel, sadistic psychotic maniac." Pain said.

"Wait, I think she's talking. We need a closer look." Fauna said before she and her companions flew over to get a closer look.

While trying their best not to get caught, the group of six silently made their way to a cloud column next to Persephone and hid behind it. From their spot, they could hear every word Persephone and Hecate were saying.

"It's good to be Queen." Persephone sighed as she took another swig of wine.

"And I'll still get to rule the Underworld once you force Hades to marry you, right?" Hecate asked.

"Why of course. But you know something?" The Goddess in pink ate a few more pomegranate seeds. "It's a real shame Hades himself can't be here to join us. He's missing out on all the fun. Oh, I know. I'll go up to his room and pay him a visit. That should cheer him up." She got up from her throne, which made her monstrous entourage turn their attention towards her. "Sorry folks, but I have to go check on something. But I'll be back. Miss me." And with a flip of her hair, she turned on her heel and walked onto a cloud that took her to another part of Olympus.

"There she goes." Dementia said.

"She must be going to where Hades is held." Merryweather whispered.

"What now?" Pain asked.

"I know. Fauna, Merryweather, and I will go after her while you three stay here and keep watch." Flora said.

"Are you sure?" Dementia asked.

"If we all go, then she might see us." Fauna replied.

"Well… okay. But be careful." Panic said.

"Of course." Flora said as she and her sisters waved their wands to shrink themselves again before they flew after Persephone's cloud.

"Bye-bye, ladies!" Panic whispered as he and Pain waved goodbye to the three Fairies.

"Have fun taking down Persephone!" Pain chimed in.

"You think it'll work?" Dementia asked.

"It'd take a miracle." Pain replied.

"…I'll give them an hour before they get caught." Panic commented.

"I give them eleven minutes." Pain added.

Dementia facepalmed. "Men."

The three Fairies followed Persephone's cloud while doing their absolute best to not be caught. Then they came to a dark hallway where Persephone got off of her cloud and walked through with the fairy sisters still not far behind. But then she stopped and furrowed her brow; she had a feeling she was being followed. She slowly turned her head around to see what was behind her, but there was nothing there; Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather quickly hid themselves from view. With a shrug, she continued down the hall with the fairies not far behind. Persephone then stopped at a large black door with a small window with bars and smiled. She soon took out a set of keys from her belt, fiddled with them for a bit, and used one of the keys to unlock the door. She opened it and stepped inside before closing it behind her when Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather stopped and peered in through the window. They saw that she entered a lavish looking bedroom with Hades sitting on the edge of the canopy bed, but he was chained to the wall with shackles around his wrists and ankles and had a large golden collar with a lightning bolt symbol around his neck. He also had a very depressed look on his face and his flames for hair were very low and dim, but she didn't care. She stopped a few feet in front of him with a very smug smile.

"Aw, why the long face?" She asked in a mocking tone. She chuckled. "You know, maybe I didn't make myself clear earlier. In case you haven't noticed, I don't take rejection well; it's one of my very FEW flaws. But I'll forgive you. I think it can still work between us."

"By locking me up and keeping me in chains like a dog?!" Hades asked, not even bothering to look her in the eye.

Persephone scoffed. "Oh please! It was the only thing I could think of to keep you quiet. I just figured a bit of time alone in here might soften you up to the thought of marriage. Why don't you just stew it over for a few more minutes and let me know when you're ready? Or would you rather answer me now?" She leaned in closer to his face, waiting for an answer.

Hades paused, then he quickly spat in her eye. She cried out in surprise and disgust before wiping her face. She narrowed her eyes at Hades, who glared back at her in anger.

"Fine." She started. "I was hoping a few hours in solitary confinement would provide you with an attitude adjustment, but it's clearly not enough. I don't need your approval, though. But trust me when I say this, Hades." She grabbed him by his chin and forced him to look at her; her eyes glowed a bright red. "Want me or not, you WILL be mine."

"No. I. Won't." He hissed.

She snarled at him, but took a deep breath before changing the subject. She stood straight and let go of Hades' jaw. "You are SO gullible, you know that? It was easy to not only poison your precious Maleficent, but also write that letter to you pretending to be her." She chuckled. "Can you think of a five letter word for 'fool'? I can. HADES."

"But I still don't get it. Why would you go through all this?" Hades asked.

"Because I deserve to rule the Cosmos, not you!" She shouted. She flipped her hair in his face, causing him to spit out a few strands of bright blonde hair in disgust. She scoffed. "Honestly, Hades? You think you're so smart; but I am far more clever AND more hardworking. Now as a lady, you know I always prefer not to get my hands dirty. But that's why I enlisted all of these monsters in the first place. They're lowly creatures of the Earth; they have NO problem with that. Now I do admit it was pretty difficult to get Medusa to join my cause… since she used to work for you AND was in a relationship with Hercules at one point. However, all of that changed thanks to a little brainwashing spell from Hecate. But I digress. Like I said, who needs the Titans? Monsters are much more efficient, if you ask me. You could learn a lot from me, Hades."

"…The only thing I learned from you is that I should never trust two things: blondes and the color pink."

"Oh haha, very funny. But it doesn't matter. I'll have you either way, and the best part is that you will never see Maleficent again."

Hades' heart nearly stopped at the mention of Maleficent. "She had nothing to do with this."

"She took you from me!" She took out the crystal ball and showed him the sleeping Maleficent again. "I wanted something, she was in my way, I got rid of her. But she's a lot tougher than I thought, I'll give her that. Although the spindle I used was a nice touch."

"Spindle?"

"Yeah. Like a spindle from a spinning wheel or something. But I did a bit of research and I learned that that spindle was part of a curse she created. Whoever pricks their finger or their hands on the spindle of that spinning wheel will fall into a cursed sleep. And with Hecate's herb added to the mix, she'll be dead by sunrise tomorrow… permanently. And there will be NO WAY for you or anyone else to save her." She let out an evil chuckle.

The moment Persephone finished gloating, Hades felt his black heart shatter into a thousand tiny pieces; the woman who hurt him so many times had done the ultimate atrocity, hurting the one he truly loved. With his breath quickening and allowing his anger to come to a boil, he suddenly screamed and lunged at her; his chains and collar were holding him back. She calmly took a couple steps back as he tried to scratch at her like a rabid animal in a cage. He then grabbed her by the wrist and held it as tight as he could. He began to recite a spell he skimmed from Maleficent's book.

"I call the darkness onto me

From deepest depths of Earth and sea!

From ancient evils unawoken

Break the one who can't be broken!

From blackest night I pledge my soul

And crush my heart to burning coal!

To summon forth the deadly power

To see my hated foe devoured!"

Nothing happened. Persephone pried his hand off her wrist as she watched Hades start to cry.

"…Are you finished?" She coldly asked before violently pushing him back.

Hades sat up on the bed and stared at her with a look of anger, sadness, and hatred while she looked at him in contempt. She furrowed her brow.

"If that's how it's going to be, then why don't we stop wasting your time? You and I will be married first thing in the morning and there's nothing you can do to stop it. If you need me, I'll be in my new room getting ready." She said, turning on her heel and heading towards the door. She walked out, closed the door, and locked it while rolling her eyes. "Ugh, stupid old man." She took the keys before heading back the way she came.

Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather could only stare in shock as they watched Persephone leave. They looked back into the room to see Hades openly sobbing into his hands; at that moment, he felt helpless and utterly defeated.

"I… I'm sorry, Maleficent. Th-this is… all m-my fault. I wasn't… strong enough or s-smart enough to protect y-you. And I-I'm so, SO sorry I never told you that… that I love you." He said through his tears.

As they watched, the three Fairies felt like crying too.

"Is it weird if I feel really bad for him?" A new voice whispered.

"If it is, then… I'm weird, too." A familiar voice replied.

The sisters perked up and saw two figures standing behind a wall near the door. They silently gasped at the sight of Meg and her sister-in-law, Margalo; they weren't captured. There was hope!
