Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Horde of Horrors. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own She-Ra, Mattel and a few others do.

(Salineas)

Brennus blocked one of Glimmer's blasts before advancing on the woman, his sword held at the ready as he did so. The light of the burning buildings made the hellish warrior appear as a monster appearing from a nightmare.

"Where's Bow?" Glimmer asked to which Brennus said nothing. "Seriously, the all-scary silent thing?" Glimmer questioned before Brennus rolled his eyes.

"You know, for the person in charge of this rebellion? You're a terrible strategist." Brennus pointed out, turning to slice through a snowball from Frosta. "I had a harder time dealing with your army then you, aren't you supposed to be constantly powerful?" Brennus asked as he continued to think about the best way to battle the princess.

Catra kicked She-Ra to the ground as Brennus threw Frosta across the room. Glimmer teleported away from one of Brennus's slashes as the prince turned and addressed the others, including the guards coming to back them up.

"You know, I'd be embarrassed if it wasn't for the fact you won at Brightmoon." Catra said, brushing off her shirt as she turned to Brennus. "You always have to be the hero, Adora… And your friends ALWAYS want to see us as the bad guys, I don't think anyone really cares." Catra stated before backflipping away from one of She-Ra's slashes.

She rolled her eyes. She knew for a fact that Adora was capable of killing her, but she wouldn't. There was far too much at stake for her to really think about that, though. Brennus could have done far worse, but he wasn't trying to… And neither could only think about that at the moment.

"I expected a bigger fight from someone who's supposed to be so powerful." Brennus stated while he cracked his neck. "Just surrender, you're not going to defeat me." Brennus stated while he dodged a blast from Glimmer as he shook his head.

"How about no?" Glimmer questioned while she continued to blast at Brennus who deflected the blasts with a wave of his sword.

"You're about as intimidating as a brick wall." Brennus stated, brushing off his armor as he turned and deflected a slash from, She-Ra. "And you are about as dangerous as a Ripfang back home." Brennus added before throwing She-Ra back with a slash of his sword.

"A wha…?" She-Ra asked before a dropkick from Catra sent her to the ground.

"This isn't a fight, it's a warm up." Brennus stated, looking at the princesses with amusement. "You're not dangerous without your powers. Me? Take off this armor and I'll still be a skilled swordsmen and fighter. You rely on trinkets and brute force, not earned power and skill." Brennus added, cracking his fingers as he did so.

He backed up to Catra, eager to think of the battles to come, all too curious how best to battle the princesses.

"We still outnumber you both." Brennus heard from Glimmer to which he rolled his eyes.

"Yes, and we outmatch you." Brennus responded, pointing a finger at Glimmer as he did so. "You had us outnumbered last time, and we STILL outmatched you. The fact you need to outnumber us by 1 and your STILL losing? You're not fit to be called warriors at all." Brennus said to which Catra snickered.

"S-Shut up!" Frosta yelled as both Horde warriors rolled their eyes.

"Or what? You're annoy us to death?" Brennus snarked before shaking his head. "If you fight as well as you complain? Maybe you'd actually win… Unless you're so eager to let this city fall, another failure to add to the kindling of your burning demise." Brennus said, deflecting a strike from She-Ra as he looked at Frosta.

"Maybe we should let them burn with the city and just report back to Hordak." Brennus said, watching Catra ready her claws. "No? You want to fight like I do? Heh, I'm beginning to enjoy this more every second." Brennus said as his armor shone with energy.

She-Ra looked at the others, curious as to what to do next. It was beginning to be clear with Brennus around? They were evenly matched. Brennus looked at her, the crimson lenses of his helmet narrowing as he waited for her to make her next move.

If they were to fight? They might be able to win, but Brennus and Catra were both just as skilled in combat at them, Adora questioned just where Brennus had come from.

"I'm starting to think you really aren't taking my ultimatum as seriously as I made it…" Brennus stated, his armor glowing as he approached. "I can overpower you despite whatever abilities you may have, I am willing to use extreme force if this approach doesn't work." Brennus said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Don't you think we might just NOT feel like surrendering?" Glimmer said to which Brennus turned to her.

"I know you rely too much on your teleportation, meaning you mostly leave the fighting to the others." Brennus said and turned to Adora. "And you clearly think that sword makes you strong. I know strength, and that's more than just a strong weapon. Trust me, the only reason I'm not ripping you apart is because of her." Brennus stated, gesturing to Catra as he did so.

He brushed off his armor, eager to continue the battle. He looked around at the crumbling buildings, the fires of the burning city lit up the dimly lit night. It made him question what this city was like when not under hostile invasion, the tranquil waters around the city made him think of one of his home's moons.

"Man, you're really cocky for someone who's outnumbered." Glimmer said as Brennus shrugged, his ebony armor clanking against his body as he did so.

"Outnumbered doesn't mean outmatched. I'm matching you all with just Catra right now." Brennus said, planting his sword into the ground as he did so. "You had us outnumbered back at the Flame Kingdom, guess what? We still defeated you. If you couldn't win when you were at your strongest even with an advantage? Then your clearly not as dangerous as you like to act. It's honestly embarrassing when I think about it." Brennus stated as he shook his head.

Brennus leaned on his sword as he shook his head, this battle was quite lackluster compared to the ones he had been in before. This was supposed to be a contest of wills, this dimly, collapsing city would be hard to hold against the rebel army… But their leaders seemed to lack much in the terms of physical skill.

"One chance." Brennus said as he and Catra advanced on the others. "Surrender, or we're resort to bombardment." Brennus stated.

Author Note

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to apologize for the chapter being short and possibly weak. Next chapter will be much longer and will show both Brennus and Catra finishing the fight with the princesses and them reporting back to Hordak and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-3500 word.
