Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Horde of Horrors. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own She-Ra, Mattel and a few others do.

(Fright Zone)

Catra found Brennus around the upper levels of the area. She could easily tell it was the ebony-clad soldier by his signature armor. He leaned on the wall next to a pillar and stared into the stars.

"Do you just not take that stuff off?" Catra asked before she leaped to a beam. "Because I've never seen you without that fancy armor." Catra stated as Brennus crossed his arms.

"You've only known me for a few days." Brennus pointed to which he hummed to himself. "And no, I do. It isn't exactly easy to sleep in this armor. This place is nicer than I assumed it'd be." Brennus added to which Catra hummed to herself.

"I doubt the rebels would say that," Catra responded. "Isn't like they'd be happy we beat them. Specially Adora. She's probably thinking about how to beat all of us next time." Catra added to which Brennus turned to her.

"If you hate Adora so much? Why have you not defeated her yourself?" Brennus questioned as both Horde officers stared upwards. "If I wanted an enemy gone so badly? I'd devote all my skill and knowledge to destroying them. It'd be entirely what I wanted." Brennus added as he shook his head.

"Because Adora always has her stupid friends around her." Catra stated, crossing her arms over her chest. "It's not that easy, they beat us before," Catra added to which Brennus rolled his eyes under his armor.

"And we beat them twice if you forget," Brennus responded with a hum. "They did not defeat us the second time. I also suspect they only won over the Horde army because of their powers?" Brennus added as he leaned on a beam.

The two Horde officers were silent, both unsure of what to say or do. Catra looked at Brennus who looked into the night sky. She cleared her throat as the armored prince turned towards her.

"Thanks for helping me so much," Catra said, rubbing her arms as she did so. "Not many people in the Horde like me, they think I'm too bossy or something stupid." Catra put in as Brennus shrugged.

"You do not give yourself enough credit when it comes down to your abilities," Brennus said, rotating his skull towards her. "How many times must I point out I know you? You're a warrior and an intelligent leader. If your soldiers do not respect them? Then it is probably because you have not shown them the heart of a leader." Brennus said which caused Catra to raise an eyebrow.

"Translation?" Catra stated before Brennus hummed.

"They do not think you care about or respect them," Brennus responded before shaking his head. "They do with me because I talk with them, constantly show they can trust me. It is not an insult to you, merely an assessment." Catra said while she started to lean on the wall next to the warrior prince.

"Do you have to be fancy about every single thing in the world," Catra asked to which Brennus laughed at the second. "What? You talk fancy about almost everything. I know your royal and all that." Catra stated while Brennus stayed silent.

"Not to be rude? But I'm not the most formal one. That would fall to my father if I am not wrong about him as of now." Brennus added before he shook his head. "I am showing the decorum expected of me at the time," Brennus said while he shook his head.

"And I am going to guess that there is something formal about it?" Catra asked while her friend was silent.

"There's not much fancy stuff in my head," Brennus stated and hummed to herself. "I don't care about that, to be honest. I care about the war that is going to occur. That war that had consumed my people back home. I still have to fight here; I owe the horde my word at the moment." Brennus added to which the woman was silent.

"And if the princesses found you?" Catra asked before she started to tap her fingers on her arms. "Would you have owed them?" Catra questioned to which the prince brushed off his armor.

"I don't care about the princesses and their little rebellion," Brennus said while he shook his head. "Why do you think it will be easy to get me on their side? I don't care if they're mad at the moment. They don't value the skill or power that comes with being a ruler." Brennus added before he closed his eyes.

"The horde isn't the good guys, you know." Catra stated to which she got a shrug.

"And the people who are destroying the rest of my home aren't good either," Brennus said as Catra blinked and started to look at the ground. "Why? Is that what the princesses are against the horde?" Brennus asked Catra who nodded to herself.

"Then they are dueled. Both sides of the war are not that different." Brennus stated while he cracked his fingers to himself.

"What do you mean?" Catra asked as Brennus stated before she cleared her throat.

"If the princesses were pushed to their limits?" Brennus questioned before he turned to his friend. "They'd be pushed to their limits and if they reacted like I expected it to be? They'd do anything to stop the horde from winning, Catra. Their morals would die entirely before anything else." Brennus stated to himself while he shook his head.

"You think they'd abandon their morals that easy the second…?" Catra started to ask before Brennus nodded to her.

"Any losing army that wants to win would gladly throw morals aside if it meant survival," Brennus stated while he started to walk in circles. "I've seen it happen before when it comes down to it. I don't know how this war was going to be a little different when it came down to it." Brennus added to himself more than the Horde Officer.

He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He was well aware there would be another battle when it came down to it. The enemy would not wait for them to strike… And Brennus wanted to it greet as warmly when that day arrived in his path.

"I'm starting to think that you've been in war a lot of times." Brennus heard from Catra stated while he started to think of said plans. "And I'm going to guess that your dad is a lot stronger when it comes down to it." Catra stated to which her friend nodded to himself.

He cleared his throat while tapping on it. Brennus closed his eyes and started to think of the next battle. Catra seemed to realize this as she nodded to herself. There was a small silence between the duo as they started to pace back and forth in place.

There was a clearing of the throat which caused both to look over their shoulder. Brennus drew his sword and Catra her claws only to be greeted with Hordak while both lowered their weapons.

The horde leader started to march towards them as both relaxed their stances. The duo was ready to battle before they calmed down and allowed him to approach further and closer.

"I see both of you are ok and starting to bond." Brennus heard from Hordak as the man cleared his throat. "It is nice to see you bonding to deal with the missions that I have to assign to you," Hordak stated to which both were silent before she cleared his throat.

Both warriors were silent while they shared a glance at each other. They wanted to know what the commander and leader of the horde wanted from them. He glanced between them as Brennus went to speak.

"We were discussing strategy and the past, Lord Hordak," Brennus responded while he folded his hands behind his back. "It's not as easy to do when we're still inside. We had something planned for the rebels." Brennus stated to which Hordak looked at Catra.

"Yeah, the rebels are constantly tracking us across the planet," Catra said while she nodded towards Brennus. "Me and Brennus want to clip their wings a little. Take them down to our level." Catra added to which her friend nodded.

Hordak closed his eyes. He was not stupid to the fact that Catra started to want the power that he held. He didn't know if Brennus was part of being of what she wanted to do.
