Chapter 4. Shift In Approaches
The 2nd morning after the Sabers reacquisition. Leo had just put on his normal, everyday outfit and sat down near a table. He could have been focusing on Scorpius's forces, on Terra Venture's expedition's effectiveness, becoming a better leader of the Power Rangers. Amusingly, none of the 3 mentioned subjects were the ones being processed by his mind. That honor went to Maya's last statement on the day they defeated the yellow armored enemy.
"A 'Stronger Sensation' ?" – Leo pondered.
What made these words the most alluring or noteworthy, was the tone in which the female Ranger expressed them.
"There was something about them. Something I… Can't put my finger on."
The atmosphere around was tense, but shrewd. Even though he was the leader of the Power Rangers & should have been able to squash all interferences to his goal (whatever their joint goal was), he was still Human. Which meant he was still susceptible to an overflow of emotions; such ones that would be hard to analyze or dispense. It is if… They were tied to the core nature of Human existence.
"What is it that I'm thinking of?"
A couple of minutes passed of Leo attempting to isolate those emotions and stifle them. The erasing part was complete failure, while the isolation aspect did show some merit. The mind realized that the emotional turbulence was aimed at or engulfed around Maya. Soon, Leo's frustration overloaded and he started banging his fists on the table.
Strangely, this calmed him down fairly quickly. Moreover, a revelation came to his mind.
"I know what I must do."
He stood up.
"I know how to make everything right."
In an instance, he rushed out of his room. A face with explicit determination had formed.
In the hallways of the Astro Megaship. The Yellow Ranger was confidently making her way through them, dressed only in her tribal clothes. Amazingly, she hadn't changed out of them from the 1st time she sat foot on the Megaship. One of the main reasons might have been the tie that it created to her home planet – Miranoi. Most Humans harbor a bridge to their birthplace, whether or not it is subconscious or conscious.
Suddenly, Leo came as a rocket towards her. Coincidently, their bodies stopped moving near a door to one side.
"Leo. I see you have something on your mind."
He gasped a bit.
"Yeah… I do."
The female swiftly noticed the peculiar, anormal tone in which the male retorted. It had an emotional backing that was absent from his casualness. She smiled and said:
"Care to tell me what is it about?"
"Hah!"
He regained his breath.
"Funnily enough it is about you."
"Me?" – she inquired intentionally surprised.
"Yeah."
Some type of unnoticeable surge started to guide both Humans minds. Leo managed to notice the door to their side with the corner of his eye, an intensely satisfying sequence formed in his mind.
"Come to think about it, we're right where we need to be."
She laughed a bit.
"Oh yeah? How can you tell?"
"Just luck, I guess." – he answered with supreme confidence.
The unknown surge intermixed with the emotional turbulence existing in both the female & the male produced a revolutionary outcome.
All of a sudden, their bodies collided together; Leo's initiative was higher than Maya's. They started to erratically kiss each other on the lips, one's hands brushing each other's sporadically.
"This…Is… The 'Stronger Sensation'." – Leo let out through times wherein he took air.
"Nice, Leo,… But I want… It stronger."
Immediately, he spun 90 degrees to the side, astoundingly, opened the door; with the initiative guided Maya into the room after he entered it.
The room they were in had a faint white light shining at the end of it, its size barely cracking 6 sq. m. (~65 sq. ft.).
"More… I want more!"
Now she urged a French kiss with Leo, he satisfyingly accepted it. Bizarrely, the male was able to take off his pants and underwear, while having his lips locked with the female. Pure luck had shown up on the Astro Megaship.
After about a minute into the kiss, Leo decided to break the kiss & move Maya onto the wall nearby. She did not resist & her back soon connected to the wall.
"I want it… Now! Now, Leo!"
By this point, both had let their instincts pierce through reality without any filters. Their bodies were so in synched and entranced that the mind shrunk its landscape to here,… To this exact moment in time.
Leo grabbed her lower cloth and emphatically pulled it down to about the knees. In turn, exposing one of Maya's erogenous zones. Not to mention, shooting the erotic feeling in the room into overdrive.
"You sure you want this, Maya?"
"Don't you?"
Both were heavily breathing inside the small room.
"Without a doubt."
"Me too."
Leo barely glanced down at Maya's lower body, before interlocking their bodies together. Due to the newness, Leo's physical preparation, the interlocking was hard, harsh. A lightning of pleasure crippled Maya's mind for a bit.
"Aaah!" – she moaned.
A tilt of the head upwards.
"You good?"
A return to normal.
"Yeah." – Maya expressed with great longing and lustfulness poured into it.
The female put both of her hands to the side, palms stomping into the wall. Then she gave Leo a facial expression. Miraculously, he read it as perfectly as one could hope and strong interlocked friction began to dominate the room. Soon, both Humans were moaning with all of their heart: Maya's being high pitched, Leo's – low pitched. The former's – more frequent than the latter's. In in all-encompassing manner, the soundscape was of sublime, extraordinary nature. Truly, a moment of greatness.
Somewhere else. Crius alluded to Bonelia about a place called the 'Combat Ring'. Was the Demigod lying? Not at all. Such a place did exist. That is, after all, where the greatly confident female went to after her altercation with Rhea & Crius.
"Well,… Who's next?" – a female happily questioned.
Her standing was out of the ordinary; the reason being – one foot was pressing a Human's neck to the ground. Did not appear from the side to be the wisest move; there were at least 5 people around her, all eager to create a painful experience for her. Soon, one male screamed:
"Enough of your taunting!"
He launched at her with a fist directly aimed at her head. Not only did she not move, she just showed a wide smile.
Barely two seconds passed and the male was squirming with pain on the ground next to her.
"That wasn't a good move, Denirium."
Two more Humans launched at her…And two more fell. Then another one,… And another one,… And another one.
Astoundingly, ten seconds later there was only one female standing directly in front of her. The gap between them being around 2 meters (~ 7 feet).
"So then…Are you ready to concede?" – the resilient female inquired playfully.
"You wouldn't allow that, My Queen."
"Half true, Yves. I would be greatly disappointed in the fact that you discarded my teachings."
The addressed one quickly altered her hands position into a fighting one with her left knuckle being in front of her right one. Her opponent negligibly lifted her eyebrows before commenting:
"Hmmm."
In a split seconds, Yves launched at her Queen, aiming her punches at her upper chest. She easily dodged them, counterattacked to a similar spot. To no avail – Yves avoided it, launched downward and tried to sweep her opponent off her stance. Too bad for her, she was too slow. The resilient female jumped up and kicked her in the chin. The hit was substantial enough to drop her to the ground.
"Tha!"
Yves protruded some blood to the ground. It is then that her opponent bended her legs, lowered herself closer to the ground.
"Not a bad idea, Yves. I'll commend you for your effort of continuing the fight, when the outcome is, more or less, defined."
"Thank you, My Queen."
"Don't rush standing up, Yves. The most important part is that you hear me. Understood?"
"Yes."
She smiled.
"Great."
A normal stance had been reintroduced.
Several minutes later. The entire area was almost clear of beings; the lone person still being in it – the titled 'Queen'. She was grabbing a drink of some weird substance when a female jumped next to her. Said one bowed her head, said:
"Nemesis."
"Bonelia. What news do you bring me?"
She finished drinking.
"There was a conflict in one of the hangars."
"What was so special about it?"
She let out a deep breath.
"It was between your family members."
"Mmmm. That is wonderful to here, Bonelia."
She took a step forward, increased her dominant presence in the area. Also, managed to identify a guest, who was hiding behind one of the elevations at one of the entrances to the Combat Ring.
"How many were there?"
"Two, My Queen."
"Names?"
"Rhea & Crius."
She stuck this fact strongly in her head, elegantly closed her eyes. Then expressed:
"Good, Bonelia. You are now dismissed."
"Very well, Nemesis. I just want you to remember that you can trust me."
"Believe me, Bonelia. I keep a close eye on the ones that I entrust ambiguous tasks to."
The addressed female rushes out of the area.
Not even a minute later.
"You can come out now. There is no one else here just the two of us,…"
A caring smile appeared.
"…Euphrosyne."
With that word heard, the female Demigod walked around from the sight obscuring obstacle towards Nemesis. She slowly angled her entire front against the incoming person.
"I trust you're having a good time, cousin."
"Hmmm. The sparring does reenergize me, but…"
"But you're longing for a different challenger?"
"Hah! At times I do long for a new encounter with someone, cousin."
"Easy to guess. You do, after all, don't want to lose your killer edge."
"True, Euphrosyne."
I think it is time to expand on how the Demigods look and what attributes do their characters possess. First one up is Nemesis. A Demigod of female sex; the middle child between the elder Atlas & the younger Polus. A one of a kind female being. The aspects that made her like that was the eye and hair color. The accustomed eye colors of Humans were brown, blue, occasionally – green or grey. Of course, there were different shades of all those colors. Nemesis, on the other hand, possessed deep purple eyes. According to her cousin Crius, the chance of someone being born with a purple hue in their inner eye rim was 20 000 to 1. The second of the pair – her hair – was also of a hard to distinguish from her eyes deep purple color. Also, her hair was long, lush, well groomed, radiated fertility, liveliness, covered the length of the whole upper body. Her face was so malleable, clean, elegant that could widen the eyes of virtually all other Humans. Hands – toned, chiseled so perfectly; legs – no unwanted fat, chiseled perfectly as well, ever so widening hips that compliment her physique oh so much, but don't outshine it all; her skin – pearl white. About her erogenicity, of godly tier. Breasts, ass – firm and plush at the same time. Add in the significant narrowness along her waist, and you've got yourself a female that embodies the word 'Attractiveness'. Her body stretched 182cm (6 feet); achieved a mere perfect balance of athletics and acrobatics. When it comes down to her character, the traits were: ruthlessness, callousness, proactiveness, high standard upholding, valued honesty and similarity to her in others. Key note was Nemesis's ruthlessness. Neither Atlas, nor Polus was eager to challenge her to a fight; actually, her cousins were not much different.
Right now, she was wearing not much clothes. On the lower end, there were only purple white stripped shorts; on the upper end, an outer armored yellow, inner cushy white bra. A braid held her hair in a tight line behind her back.
"So what has brought you to me?"
"I foresee a power shift in the near future." – Euphrosyne answered with a concerned look.
Nemesis noticed the look.
"You mean our family is unravelling?"
"Does that surprise you?"
"No, I couldn't say it does."
She took another sip of her unusual substance.
"Who is pushing this?"
"Hmmm."
Euphrosyne showed a faint smile.
"I do not think he realizes this."
"That leaves 2 possible candidates."
"Is that so?" – she inquired with a tease.
The recently arrived being closed the gap in half.
"Why don't you take a guess?"
"Mmmm. I could."
Clear liveliness was radiating from Nemesis's face.
"Well…"
"It's Crius?"
"Yes. It is my younger brother."
"Oh so predictable, cousin. He really does not care about what the others think of his abrupt change in tactics."
"No. He doesn't."
From the side, it appeared that both female Demigods were having a great time.
"What has he done?"
"My allies are extremely confident that he has pinpointed the planet on which the Scroll of Genesis presides."
Nemesis revisited her past encounters with Crius in the hopes of confirming such a crave of his. Several seconds later, she claimed:
"Very likely, cousin. Also, does this mean he has left the Palace?"
"Yes. He should have left no so long ago."
"You would be absolutely right, Euphrosyne. My ally confirmed to me that he had a conflict with Rhea recently in one of the hangars."
"That means he's, without a doubt, on his way to the planet."
"That means he's going to increase the hidden animosity amongst us."
"Least us forget, of how much of an impact it would be to the entire society if he gathers the object that the Scroll points to."
The purple haired female showed off an even more pronounced smile.
"I believe we should indulge ourselves into his mission."
"Crazy how similar we think, cousin."
"I know. It is as though we share a mind."
Nemesis quickly thought of an activity that she would be delighted to enact; the only obstacle she felt was the person's, who it connected to, outlook on it.
"We'll think of a best way to achieve our goal with Crius, but I want to ask you something before that."
"I'm almost certain that I know what you crave."
"Then please,…Cousin. Explain."
A lot of sympathy, care went into that single word.
"You want to throw down with me?"
"The idea sounds even better when you voice it."
Euphrosyne was nowhere near as interested as Nemesis in a sparring match. Though, her mind had deduced that declining her cousin's invitation is far more dangerous than accepting it. Also, past times did create her a vision of how a disapproval would change the future. A minute of silence had to pass before Mekasta's Queen stated:
"Alright. Let's just try not to brake each other's bones."
"At least, not much." – Nemesis added.
The non-purple haired female undressed to a point which, more or less, mirrored Nemesis.
"Take up your position."
"As you wish, Euphrosyne."
The female embodiment of 'Attractiveness' was already pleased with the fact that it did not take long for her family member to agree to a match with her.
Seconds later they were staring at each other from about 10 meters (~33 feet). The air around them seemed to freeze; the gas molecules lost all speed.
"Ready, cousin?"
"No weapons, Nemesis."
"Absolutely, Euphrosyne."
The ruthless female stretched her hands above her hair.
"This type of combat is much more pleasing to me."
"Then I'm ready."
In a flash, they sprung from their positions and collided. The fight was on.
Euphrosyne – a Demigod of female sex; the middle child of elder Rhea & younger Crius. A similarity with Nemesis. Her physical attributes were not as unique, magnificent as Nemesis. On the other hand, no one actually could compete with her in that sphere. Euphrosyne's eyes resembled oak wood; her hair was brown, with the top part being darker than the lower part. It was far less lush, thick, but retained a similar smoothness to Nemesis' purple hair; only stretched to the upper chest level. Someone could choose between their supple faces by their preference. Not much difference between their hands or legs; mainly – Euphrosyne's curviness was significantly less pronounced when talking about her hips. She was extremely close in height to her cousin, skin – parchment white. Acrobatics dominated the acrobatic-athletic scale (80-20). On erogenicity, Nemesis was the clear winner. Her cousin's breasts and ass were as restrained as the situation with the hips. Though, you couldn't call Euphrosyne unattractive. Some men actually preferred her to her cousin. This was due to the female's character traits. The key note here being smartness. In terms of schemes, plans, none of her family could dream up one that would as thought out as hers. Other traits being: callousness, observing, analytical, valued high standards, courage, craftiness. As a finishing aspect, her relationship with Nemesis was more unusual as cousins than most would assume. They rarely clashed, enjoyed each other's company, for the most part, respected each other's different perspectives. Sometimes they would confront either Atlas, Rhea, Polus or Crius together. Their subordinates knew far too well the dangerous combo of Nemesis-Euphrosyne. At those time, they would appear unrelentless, joyful, craving similar outcomes to their opponents. As for the battle, while Nemesis preferred purple, Euphrosyne's bra was drenched in cyan; her shorts were just plain, gold yellow.
After the sparring session. Both females were catching their breath on the 1st level of a conjoint multilevel elevation.
"That was… Exhausting." – the brown eyed one commented.
"Same here, cousin."
Their unnatural breathing was proportionally declining.
"Well,… Let's shower than we can make a call to Crius."
Nemesis had a lightning strike in an idea form.
"We can save us some time and call him now."
"When we're both half naked and showered in sweat?"
"So what? Like he hasn't seen either of us half naked before?"
A bit of thinking from Euphrosyne.
"Good point."
Nemesis was self-aware of her idyllic physique and requested the utmost respect for it; regardless, of who the person in the conversation was.
In space. Crius was enjoying the calmness in his private room. He had informed the crew that the Professor would be presenting the planet's information when they'll be 'close enough' to it. That was a change from his original plan. Nonetheless, this let him relax, conjure several plans of action; in addition, it kept his excitement chained to a manageable level. He even had time to marvel at his specially crafted sword type of weapon. Fingers were running through it, when the High Commander appeared to the left on his screen.
"Sir. You've got an incoming call from the Palace."
"I thought I told you to let me be surrounded by silence, High Commander?" – Crius inquired, slightly annoyed.
"I remember, sir, but the caller is very… vicious and hardly takes 'no' for an answer."
Crius immediately identified the caller after the Commander said the word 'vicious'. The tenseness in which he said it left him no doubt.
"Alright. Pass it through then."
"Yes, sir."
In less than a minute, Crius came face to face with his family member.
"Well, Nemesis, what has gotten you so interested in my efforts?"
"You didn't tell me about your crusade for the Scroll of Genesis."
"Right. I did not. And… I didn't have to." – he confidently retorted.
The male Demigod was amused that his ruthless defined cousin would reach out to half nakedly.
"That is true, brother,…"
Suddenly, Euphrosyne came into the frame on the screen.
",… But it does not mean we are not captivated by your mission."
"Now you, sister, might be onto some sort of rational journey."
Nemesis treated it as a slight against her intelligence.
"Are you saying that I'm not smart enough to pursue the Scroll, cousin?" – she said with an ambiguous smile.
Crius knew that the smile was a pretense or a cover; the purple haired female was obviously not satisfied with his last statement. Therefore, that smile had hidden meaning behind it.
"You're mistaken, Nemesis."
He shrugged his shoulders, shimmied in a an armchair.
"Such an object is irrelevant to you. I do recall you being known for your ruthlessness. For Euphrosyne, it may give her some pleasure if she would get it."
"An enhancement of my mind's abilities?"
"For of a crowning achievement, sister."
"Let that be the case, Crius, but you're going to have to answer to us when you come back."
"She is right, brother. We are going to have a deep, personal conversation. All 3 of us."
This was something that the male Demigod clearly did not want to hear. Alas, he did not view the idea of fighting both of them as a wise one. So, he decided on a compromise based ending.
"Fine… Just let me come back first."
"Good luck, cousin. I'll be eager to meet up with you when you land."
"That makes two of us."
The call ended.
Kitchen of the Astro Megaship. Damon and Kai were chatting while consuming food, when Leo came into the room.
"Hey, Leo, man."
The Green Ranger quickly read the Red Ranger's facial expression. Something had chained.
"You look rejuvenated?"
"Yeah, I feel that way too."
He noticed French fries left on the counter to his right.
"At least I can quench my hunger."
He rushed over to the big plate of French fries.
"Are you sure that is good for your health?" – Kai questioned.
The Blue Ranger walked up to him.
"You do want keep your body in peak form?"
He quickly shifted his head so that his eyes would align with Kai's. Rather than being annoyed by the questioning, Leo simply smiled, laughed before stating:
"Two handfuls won't make a difference."
"You know. They might not."
"My, my, Maya… Your looking high-spirited."
"Well, you know, Kendrix, sometimes a day comes about which just takes your breath away." – said the Yellow Ranger, sitting on a window sill in the hallway.
"It's good that you're feeling well, Maya."
"I'm happy about that too, Kendrix. Now…"
She shimmered of the window sill, landed in front of her colleague.
"What has got you troubled about our last enemy?"
Kendrix was caught a bit off guard by the question. It is a rare thing to see someone be so straightforward about every topic.
"It's how he looked." – the blonde female reluctantly let out.
"What about the look?"
"He was armored, while no other Scorpius's monster had any sort of armor prior to that. Nothing close to compare with that golden one last time round."
Maya could unmistakably see the frustration deep within Kendrix's mind. This had caused her psychology a substantial strain.
Instinctively, she raised her palm to her face. Kendrix did not resist her colleagues attempt at putting her palm on her face.
"Keep it together, Kendrix. You must not lose sight of your goal."
"Okay, but… What about that armored enemy?"
"Relax today and tomorrow start thinking of the best rational answer you could come up with."
Maya's palm retreated from Kendrix's cheek.
"No matter the ridiculousness of it."
"I'll try, Maya. I'll try."
"That is all I ask. Commitment."
They giggled a bit before going down the hallway together.
