Ben and Jen stood back to back in the middle of a dark room with a slight light shining as Jen psyched herself up as Ben fist-bumped his sister with a smile as Ben sighed in anticipation.
"You ready for this, bro?" Jen asked.
"Not sure. It may be our toughest assignment yet," Ben said. "But what choice do we have? Time to face... the viewing public."
"Now," the unmistakable voice of the one and only Jimmy Fallon sounded as he sat on his desk. "I've been doing The Tonight Show for ten years now. But I've got to tell all of you: this is a first for me or for any host of this show: interviewing superheroes. And I'm not talking about actors in movies or anything. No, actual real life superheroes. Having recently had their identities uncovered, they've finally agreed to make a public appearance on national television. Please put your hands together for Ben and Jen Tennyson!"
Yes, it was true. Ben and Jen were now in New York along with their team, who were waiting in the wings outside, having agreed to making a public appearance on national television.
The Roots band started playing as Ben and Jen walked out of the curtain to audience applause, Ben dressed in a fine suit while Jen had on a beautiful pink dress as they walked out with a smile as Jen hugged Jimmy as Ben shook his hand and they took their seats next to Jimmy's desk as they smiled.
"Thanks, everybody," Ben said as Jen smiled and crossed her legs.
"We're honored to have you guys," Jimmy said. "As the Omni-Twins, you two have been actual real life superheroes for about six years now. You've been asked time and again to appear on one of these talk shows and you have always said no. What made you guys change your mind for this?"
"Well, Jimmy," Jen said. "Between you and me, you know, being superheroes and all, we have a ton of secrets that we'd rather not disclose to the viewing public. We can't exactly say a lot because it's classified information."
"But, you know," Ben said. "Since that video got out and exposed our identities, we just both came to the conclusion that we had to do this at least once."
"So. I know you're not prepared to give out too much info, but... let's talk your teammates."
"That much we can do since they've come out with who they are since we were revealed. First off, there's our cousin Gwen, aka Lucky Girl," Jen said. "True to her name, everything seems to always go her way, which is obviously a great help for all of us. She's one of the leading authorities on magic in the world right now."
"She's smart, sassy, fun and she's an amazing fighter," Ben said. "She's been with us since the beginning and we can always trust her to have our backs. I mean, if you can trust anyone, you'll be able to trust your family, right?"
"I wouldn't be too sure of that," Jimmy chuckled, citing laughs from the audience as Jen jabbed her brother playfully and he winked at he.
"Then there's my closest friend Allison Levin, aka Matter Girl."
"Allison Levin?" Jimmy asked. "The young chef and kickboxing champion?"
"Yep," Ben said. "She's a great chef and an amazing fighter. I mean, she was the first one to beat Lynn Loud in a fight. And as a superhero, she's got it all."
"Her fighting prowess and her powers of temporarily absorbing energy, including any of our powers, make her one of our strongest assets," Jen said. "She's not like most goth girls. She's got the spunk, she's got the grit, she's got the brain. You don't mess with Ally."
"Her brother Kevin is almost the same way," Ben chuckled. "He's tough, he knows tons about alien tech and when we go off world, he's always a great use to us, even if he sometime has his own agenda."
"We used to fight a lot when we were kids," Jen said. "But now he's one of our closest allies and we're glad to have him on our team."
"So you had to grow up to him?" Jimmy asked as the twins chuckled.
"To say the least," Jen chuckled. "He's also an absorber, but he focuses more on absorbing solid materials. He forms an armor around himself, which amazingly enhances his strength and durability. He can also morph his limbs into various weapons, making him easily the strongest teammate we have."
"And last, but certainly not least, there's the only one of our team who has no powers, Gwen's sister Rebecca Tennyson. But everyone calls her Becky."
"So if she has no powers, what's she like?"
"Oh, she more than makes up for her lack of superpowers with her extraordinary skills," Jen said. "When we're doing our duties, she calls herself the Huntress. And when you see her fight, it's easy to see why. She's an expert at several forms of weaponry and fighting skills. One of the best archers I've ever seen."
"She's incredibly strong and nimble for someone her age and size, she knows several weak points of the body and she even knows how to make several types of traps as well. Even if she has no powers, she's still our best bet when it comes to hand-to-hand combat."
"Wow. Almost every member of your team is unique in their own way," Jimmy said. "Now, since you were revealed as the Omni-Twins, you've gotten more criticism than ever. Especially by the famous newscaster Will Harangue."
"Yep," Jen said, rubbing her hands together. "But then again, this guy was on the side of the people who said that Donald Trump got the election stolen from him. And he's always talking crap about the other superhero teams throughout the world too."
"He's somehow even worse and more delusional than the Ambroise Delay with the Miraculous Team on those matters because he has his own news cast and people believe him," Ben said. "But we're clearly not in a position to question a newscaster on what he has to say about us."
"But to all of his viewers who may be watching us right now, we have something we want to say to all of you," Jen said, facing the camera. "Just give us a chance to earn your trust. We don't care about what anyone says about us to try to turn you against us. What we want is for all of you to see what we do for yourselves and form your own opinion. And if you still hate us, then there's not much we can do to change your minds."
"Just give us one chance. We promise we're not gonna let you down. We swear."
"That one was from the heart. Thanks for coming," Jimmy said as he turned to them. "Ben and Jen Tennyson, everybody!"
The audience cheered for the twins as they smiled and shook hands with Jimmy as they got up from their seats. Ben shook hands with Jimmy's right hand man Steve Higgins while Jen gave him a small hug as they both left backstage and into the hugs and bro-hugs of their teammates after they changed into their usual attire.
"You guys were great out there!" Becky said as everyone hugged and fist-bumped as the twins smiled.
"Yeah, well, you know. Not exactly experienced at the interview thing. And you guys will get your turns on one of these shows eventually," Ben said as Gwen smiled.
"I'm just wondering what I'm going to say when I get asked to go on a talk show like this," she said.
"Well, I know that when I get on one of these, it's going to be strictly business as usual," Becky stated. "I mean, I'm a huntress at heart. It's not like I'll have anything else to talk about."
"I heard that," Ally said. "I mean, what will I talk about when it's my turn? The kickboxing thing, the chef thing or the hero thing?"
"You are very ranged in what you do, sis," Kevin said with a chuckle as everyone felt their badges beep and they took the out and a video image of their new hacker friend Clay appeared at his desk, sipping on a soda.
"Talk to us, Clay. What's going on?" Jen asked.
"Sorry to interrupt your talk show business, Jen, but the Plumbers just picked up on something in your area. I hacked into the New York helicopter cameras and it's an alien that resembles an angel that people have seen flying through the streets of New York at random points," Clay said, a light Southern twang in his accent. "Weird thing is that the Plumbers don't have any information on any aliens that resemble angels in the Milky Way galaxy."
"Man," Ben said. "It's gotta be one of those Andromeda aliens that Bivalvan mentioned."
"We'll get on it right away," Ally said as everyone hung up and nodded. "Thanks for the heads-up."
"Let's roll."
The Omni-Team walked through the streets of Manhattan separately, with Matter Girl using her bike's flight mode to search for the alien from the sky as she pressed her badge to her ear.
"A city of eight million people and we're searching for one angel. Glad to see not much has changed since I left," Ally said to herself as she flew through the air, only to suddenly steer in the left direction as a beam of bright light nearly singed her bike.
She turned and saw an alien in golden and white armor flapping her bright white feathered wings above as she glared at the goth heroine. She had dark tan skin and silky white hair with slightly glowing blue eyes and a blue glowing symbol on her forehead and seemed to give off an aura of light around her as she glared as Ally gunned the engines of her bike and took off through the air with the Andromeda alien giving chase, firing beams of light from her palms to blast Ally out of the sky, only for her to fire her ship's guns after the alien, which she simply blocked with her wings.
"Guys," Ally said over her badge and steering past the light blasts. "Our alien is tailing me!"
"We're on it," Jen said as she and Ben transformed into...
"Jetray!"
"AeroForce!"
The two took to the sky and started chasing after the angel alien as Jetray fired his neuroshock blasts from his eyes and tail, which actually shocked the angel pretty bad as she fell from the sky, before righting herself as she shouted out and blasted Jetray with her light beams, causing him to fall on top of a building before he recovered and glared after her.
AeroForce flew in and sent out a massive gust of wind from her wings that the angel powered through as she flew up to her and started brawling her hand-to-talon.
"I will never let anyone take me hostage!" she shouted. "Not Aggregor and not any of you! So swears Uriel!"
"Don't give us a reason to!" AeroForce cawed before she blasted Uriel back before she righted herself as she panted heavily and Jetray flew back in and tackled Uriel to the ground before blasting her in the back with his tail laser.
Uriel glowered at our twins and crossed her arms before she let loose a massive blast of light from her entire body that straight blinded our heroes as they both hit two different buildings.
"Whoa. This girl is tough, especially for an angel," Jetray said as AeroForce hissed, rubbing her head.
"Oh, you want to play? Let's play," she said with a shout as she slammed the core on her chest, which grew four spikes as she cawed out and she spun around in the air, showing off her new form.
Her feathers now had a metallic silvery sheen and her her talons were clearly sharper as she smirked and her pink leotard now had a more skintight armored look and she clearly looked strong she smiled to herself and announced herself.
"ULTIMATE AEROFORCE!"
Uriel looked shocked by the evolved Harpian as they both charged at each other as they clashed each other in the sky as she tossed out several light beams from her hands before she sent out several daggers of light from her palms .
Ultimate AeroForce smiled to herself and then ducked and dodged around several times, avoiding the light blasts with breakneck speed before she tore through the daggers with her talons, smirking.
"Let's see what else this birdy can do," Ultimate AeroForce spun around rapidly before she shot her wings out, pelting Uriel with tons of razor-sharp feathers from her wings, sending the angel alien falling down slightly before she righted herself in midair looked back up at her.
Several arrows then flew up as Uriel looked to see Huntress perched on a building, firing arrows at her with a sharp eye as she managed to hit Uriel in the chest just as Jetray blasted her with his neuroshock blasts.
Uriel then looked up to see Ultimate AeroForce flying super fast through the air as she formed a massive tornado that instantly sent Uriel crashing on top of the Flatiron Building and she groaned out in pain as the team all converged thanks to Lucky Girl's mana platforms as Uriel groaned and weakly backed up against the wall and weakly tried to fire another light blast, but found she didn't have the strength to do it.
"Please. I cannot be captured again. Me and the others, including my sister, worked too hard to escape from that monster Aggregor to be captured again!"
"We heard it from Bivalvan that nine other aliens from your galaxy were captured," Jen said as the Ultimatrixes suddenly started beeping rapidly and a green and pink light shined over Uriel and Omni and Trixie suddenly sounded out.
"Uncatalogued DNA Scan complete. Metatronian DNA Form now available for transformation. Enjoy, you two," Trixie sounded out and nodded as the twins smiled.
"I can't trust you," Uriel panted out. "I can't trust anyone."
"We're with the Plumbers," Ben explained to her. "We're an intergalactic police force who operate all throughout the universe. We're going to track down Aggregor and take him down. For you and all your friends."
"I still don't trust you," Uriel panted as she sighed. "But I trust Aggregor even less."
"I'll contact the lumbers immediately and they'll send some guys to pick you up," Ben said, dialing the Plumbers in with his badge and Uriel panted out weakly as the twins smiled.
"Well, that's another mission completed," Becky smiled as Jen and Gwen lowered the team down to street level.
"Two down, eight to go," Jen said with a nod.
...But just as they were completely gone, another creature suddenly appeared in front of Uriel and she gasped and scrambled back, but found herself too weak to do so as she saw Aggregor smirk before he reached for her with his spear.
"Well. Those heroes doing my work for me again. Just goes to show how easy it will be to recapture all of you, Uriel."
Uriel only gave out a bloodcurdling scream as the screen faded to black.
