A/N: I hope the finding out of what happened to Ash was worth it. To any who think I chose Serena in order to bash on her, you are wrong, just out of all Ash's companions old and new she and Domino share the most physical resemblance minus the eyes. Eventually we may get a time where Ash's rescuer will return, I have been going back and forth with it. Shall we see what happens when Ash gets interviewed and is now officially back to more than just his friends, but also his enemies. Please share and review.

Ash awoke from his sleep and he felt Misty's arms still wrapped around him. It was the most peaceful sleep he had had in many years. Pikachu was already awake and had a look that was between annoyed and questioning. Ash blushed slightly, meeting Pikachu's gaze, "Hey buddy, how long have you been awake?"

Pikachu merely raised an eye and began to stomp his foot as if to say, "I thought you were taking this slow."

Ash got up out of bed checking the time and saw he had enough time to shower. While Ash was showering, Misty stirred and felt around the bed finding Ash gone she began to panic until she saw Pikachu. Pikachu pointed at the bathroom where Ash was showering. "Thanks Pikachu." Misty said. She was almost about to knock on the bathroom door when she heard, "Pika." Looking down and meeting Pikachu's gaze it was one of the few times she noticed Pikachu giving her a nonplussed look. "Are you worried Ash and I aren't properly figuring this out?" Misty asked. Pikachu merely nodded.

Getting down to Pikachu's level Misty said, "I am sorry Pikachu, I know we have been yo-yoing between our relationship that I haven't really given much thought to how this affects you." Pikachu then began making gestures that seemed to communicate that sooner rather than later, Misty and Ash had to decide either be a couple or just be co-parents for Skye and nothing else. "When I left Pikachu were you mad with me?" Misty asked.

Pikachu's gaze softened as if he felt seen or heard. Pikachu then looked at Misty and kind of shrugged up and flicked his ears like he was saying "A little bit. But I am mad that both of you just can't figure out what you are." Misty just opened up her arms for Pikachu who then slowly came and embraced Misty. Ash got out of the shower dressed and ready and was surprised to see the two hugging. "Is everything ok?" Ash asked

"Yes," Misty said, turning around holding Pikachu in her arms, "But I think Pikachu would prefer us to decide what we are sooner than later." Ash came up and scratched the top of Pikachu's head causing a happy "Pika." Ash gently pressed a kiss to Misty's forehead which caused a blush to cross Misty's face. "How bout after the Silver Conference while we wait for Skye and the rest to make it back to Pallet, we figure out what we want to be for each other?"

Misty smiled, "Sounds like a smart plan, but I don't know about you Ash, but I slept the best I have slept since you came back into my life last night and…" Misty trailed off looking away.

"You don't want to stop sharing a bed until we figure this out?" Ash finished. Pikachu rolled his eyes thinking they needed to just shut up and kiss already.

"Yes." Misty said, "Is it ok if I move my stuff in here later so Pikachu doesn't have to resettle?"

"Of course." Ash said, then they both heard Ash's notorious stomach growl that made Ash, Misty, and Pikachu sweatdrop. "Maybe quickly get some food before the interview." Ash said with a bit of awkward laughter.

Arriving at the commissary Ash, Misty, and Pikachu found Charlie, Skye, and August eating. Sitting with them Ash began to mow down food not too dissimilar to his daughter. August looked over at Misty who was sipping her coffee and asked, "Late night you two?"

Causing Ash and Skye to begin choking on their food, and Misty to begin coughing on her hot drink. Charlie just looked lost, that this caused such a big reaction. Ash who got his breathing back first said, "August if you make another comment that is inappropriate, be ready to run, I won't kill you, but I can't stop her." Gesturing at Misty who then put her hand on Ash's and said to August, "Don't listen to him, I won't kill you but I will scold you."

"I might." Skye said finally getting her own breathing back. "You almost made me lose my breakfast."

August smirked at Skye but looking back at Ash and Misty his face became demure and he said, "I am sorry, what you two do is your business and it is not something for me to joke about or make fun of."

Misty said, "Thank you August." Just as they were about to continue their conversation, Meowth, dressed like a mid-level producer, came to their table saying, "It is time to follow me." Ash got up along with the rest of the group. They came to a secluded room in the dormitories where Meowth turned and said, "Next door I will take the rest of you to our listening room, Ash you are free to end this interview after 15 minutes." Misty was ready to tell Meowth she was coming in when Ash put his hand up mouthing he will be fine.

As Ash was getting set up with a headset and a mic. Misty, Skye, Charlie, August, and Pikachu were given headsets without mics, to hear the interview in the room which had a window to where Ash was being interviewed. James asked Ash before they were on the air, "Ash will you be sure to let everyone know who you are when we kick it back to you when we come back from the commercial?."

"Yeah." Ash said, "Jessie, please just remember-no asking what happened in specific detail while I was missing with Team Rocket. If you do, I shut the interview down."

"Don't worry twerp, I have no need to implicate myself in this mess. I know how to run an interview" Jessie said with a little bit of bite, but then winked.

"Jessie and James are back here in Silver Town covering the Silver Conference." James started as they came back on the air, "Joining us is our mystery guest that we haven't caught up with in a long time." Jessie then said, "Mystery guest, care to introduce yourself?"

"Hi everyone, my name is Ash Ketchum and thanks Jessie and James for having me on your show today." Ash said. Meowth who was in the other room saw the phone lines lighting up his call switchboard. Across the Pokemon world, several listeners were shocked to hear he was there. One particular violet eyed blonde smashed her phone in disbelief hearing his voice come across the airwaves.

James noticed the activity on their feeds, and said, "Many of our listeners and those following us on other platforms are quite active Ash, anything you have to say to them?"

"Just that I am sure some of you are friends who have worried about me, just know I am ok and healthy, but right now am focusing on myself and my family and have no plans on competing anytime soon." Ash said.

"Obviously many are curious as to what exactly happened. It seems like it must have been a rather traumatic event to keep you away from home for so long, so can you just say with what you are comfortable with. Briefly, why were you absent for so long?" Jessie asked.

"I went missing because Team Rocket abducted me, and I was held by them for over 5 years. I know some of you are doing the math and asking how I got out and why I have stayed hidden. Well I was finally able to escape because someone who I did not meet until I was captured. They set me free. He said he wasn't a member but that he couldn't see me held by Team Rocket any longer. I have never seen him since I got out, and I stayed low due to concerns over being found by Team Rocket." Ash said.

"So what makes you confident to come out now?" James asked.

"I realized I could no longer stay hidden and that I care about certain people too much. I have been slowly reconnecting with my friends and family and getting back to my life….slowly but surely." Ash said.

"Care to elaborate on who those people are, you mentioned family?" Jessie inquired.

Chuckling slightly Ash said, "Well, it started when two Pokemon trainers actually stumbled upon me at Mt. Silver. Though I did not know it at the time, they are close friends of my daughter Skye Waterflower, and when she and her mom were taken by Team Rocket. I felt I had to get them out."

"Well congratulations on your family, does this mean you and Misty Waterflower are a current couple?" Jessie followed up.

"At this point I am not going to comment on our relationship currently, at this point we are co-parenting an amazing daughter whom I hope continues to find success here at the Silver Conference." Ash said.

"Ash, one thing a listener put into our live chat was, "Do you plan on competing again, maybe even this year's coronation series?'" James asked, hoping this wasn't too personal about his life.

"At this point I am not in any condition to compete, I believe Iris will win this year. She is a fierce competitor and frankly the best battler I have traveled with. She does a terrific job as the current monarch." Ash said. Looking up he saw a knock on the window with Misty flipping him the bird.

"So back to when you got away from Team Rocket, what did you do the last few years?" Jessie asked.

"A lot of odd jobs, just kept a very low profile, and to be frank I stayed away from battling for fear it would give away who I was." Ash said.

"Great, now Ash we got a few callers on hold wanting to ask some direct questions here is Rudy from Trovita Island, Rudy you are on with Jessie and James." Jessie said.

"Hey Ash, I am glad to hear you are alive." Rudy said through the phone line.

"Thanks Rudy, I hope you and Mahri are doing well." Ash said in response.

"We are doing great, she will really appreciate you remembering her, when exactly did you find out Skye was your daughter?" Rudy asked.

Chuckling slightly Ash responded, "Well Rudy I found out after I helped get Skye and Misty away from Team Rocket. Thanks for the call Rudy."

"Coming now is Barry from Ecruteak City, Barry what do you want to ask Ash Ketchum." James said.

"Thanks for having me on air! I love the show… I have always been a big fan of yours, Jessie." Barry said through the line.

"Why thank you Barry always love my adoring fans." Jessie said in a playful tone. Ash faked gagging with James.

"Does this mean since you are not commenting on your relationship, that Misty is still single?" Barry asked.

"Barry, while I can empathize with your curiosity-this isn't a dating app, and she is still the mother of my child and I am not above kicking someone's ass if they disrespect her. Whether we are a couple or not." Ash said with a bit of bite. Ash took a marker and wrote a note to show to Meowth, it read, "Filter out the bozos."

Meowth sweatdropped while Misty, Charlie, Skye, and August laughed at Ash's note.

Jessie chose to say, "Callers, while we can also understand your curiosity, please realize this is still a former monarch who is incredibly skilled, so anger him at your own risk."

"Thank Jessie." Ash said.

James said, "We got our next caller, Dawn from Twinleaf Town, you're on Jessie and James."

"Hey Ash, what kind of reckless bozo, doesn't even give his best friends a heads up he's alive after all this time?" Dawn screeched through the line.

"Nice to hear from you too Dawn." Ash said a bit grudgingly, "I have been trying to patch things up in my private life and while I understand you are frustrated…" Ash then noticed a sign from Skye and Misty that they urgently wanted him to read, "Apologize!"

"Dawn, I am sorry I didn't tell you. I should have told you." Ash said, "I would like to catch up with you soon. I hope you and Kenny are doing well."

"Alright, well that's good to hear. Thanks Ash, make sure you call us." Dawn said, ending the call.

"Seems you haven't caught everyone up yet on being alive and while we have enjoyed having you on Ash. Is there any last message you want to say to our listeners?" James asked.

"Oh yeah, to all Jessie and James' listeners, know that going through trauma is hard. Just know it's better to reach out and get support for it, whether it be friends and family, or a counselor. Please reach out for help or if you know someone who needs that help, be supportive of them. I've learned the hard way without good support, life can be quite hard. Thanks for having me on Jessie and James, it was fun catching up with you."

"Thank you Ash for coming on, this has been one of our more active shows of late, let us know if you need any help." James said.

"Will do." Ash said as he began to take off his headset and mic. In the other room the group was handing Meowth their headsets. Ash merely walked over to the group and he was surprised Skye was the first to hug him. "Thank you Ash for finally letting the world know who my father is. It's been so hard keeping that secret." Skye said. Misty meanwhile was putting her phone on silent because it hadn't stopped buzzing since the interview ended.

"Um…I am glad I can help." Ash said a bit awkwardly, not sure he was saying the right thing to Skye.

August stated, "Dawn seems like a spirited friend."

"She is and I should have probably tried to reach out to others before doing this." Ash said.

Going down the stairs at the foot of them, they all came face to face with Brendan. "So this man," Brendan gestured at Ash, "Is who you will give a chance to?"

Pikachu had a face that became very protective. Before Skye could stand between Ash and Brendan, Ash put his hand on her shoulder and walked forward. "I do not know much about you Brendan and frankly the less I know of you the better, my daughter and her mother have made it pretty clear they don't want to see you, so move so we can pass." Both men stared the other down till Brendan blinked and stomped away. Skye led August and Charlie away while Misty grabbed Ash's hand and slowly pulled him from that spot. Deciding to focus on Skye's first match in her group round. Her parents gave her hugs but Ash whispered in her ear. "All that anger you feel towards Brendan, let it out here."

All of them waited in the stands watching Skye battle in Ash's old hat. Misty though she sat next to Ash seemed very aware of the cameras and didn't want to give them any gossip. Luckily the 3 on 3 match was what the cameras were focusing on. Charlie was having a hard time staying still because he missed being in Skye's corner. Ash leaned over to him saying, "You need to stay focused on your upcoming match later, don't burn yourself out watching this match." Seeing Skye down to her last Pokemon without beating any of her opponents Pokemon was concerning, but Ash did not let it show on his face, nor did Misty. Lycanroc was her last Pokemon and at this point she looked like she was staying calm despite the setbacks. Her opponents Lapras was mowing down her Pokemon. Skye noticed despite its power it was slow and Lycanroc could use its speed and after narrowly avoiding the ice beam, Lycanroc unleashed stone edge bringing down Lapras. Charlie and August explode, getting to finally cheer some success for Skye. Her opponent unleashed a Girafarig, unleashing its move psybeam which Lycanroc kept avoiding until Lycanroc launched a take down attack and finished it off with crunch. Skye's opponent was frustrated having felt they were so close to victory now it was sudden death, whoever survived won. Sending out his last Pokemon a Azumurill, launching a water gun attack, Skye just had Lycanroc use counter, and after the move stunned Azumarill, Lycanroc did not hesitate with following up with another take down attack. The referee looked down and saw Azumarill was unable to battle, declaring Skye the winner. The crowd roared in cheers and shock at the comeback Skye had with Lycanroc.

At that point Ash and Misty jumped up applauding their daughter's victory and when they found her after the round she looked exhausted but was happy to have come out on top getting 3 points. "Honey I am so proud of you for coming back when it looked dire." Misty said, hugging Skye.

Ash was dancing up and down not too dissimilar from how he reacted after he swept the 'Amazing' Mandy at Indigo. Skye got a little embarrassed seeing that, but was happy all the same to have won. Charlie was so busy celebrating with Skye that Ash asked, "Charlie shouldn't you be getting into the competitors locker for your match?" Charlie, looking at the time then hustled off while Skye, led the group to their seats in the stands. Charlie's match wasn't as dramatic only losing his Haunter, then proceeding to win with Magmar through the rest of his match. August merely smirked, leading to Misty asking, "What's got you smirking?"

"Charlie actually listened to my advice for once." August said, "I knew his opponent would over prepare for the risk of Haunter instead of worrying about Magmar." Misty smiled at that remembering the handful of times Ash ignored her advice. The few times he took it she was always happy to see it work.

August decided to head to the commissary and began to get food. While getting his plate setup, he felt like someone was watching him. Then a dark haired girl with light brown eyes, a skin tight white crop top and gray yoga pants, bumped against August slightly. "Sorry." She said, eyeing up and down August before biting her lip.

August responded flatly. "It's ok." He noted physically she had an above average butt, for someone who just finished puberty.

"So um, where are you from?" The girl asked, smiling.

"Orre." August said.

"Wow that far, what's your name?" She asked.

"August." August responded, finishing his plate and beginning to walk away. The girl followed alongside him.

"My name is Kylie." She looked at August before touching his arm.

August stiffened, then setting his plate down he said, "Please do not touch me Kylie, I do not know you and right now I don't want to know you any further." Seeing Charlie sitting at a table with Skye. August paid for his food leaving a jaw dropped Kylie behind.

Charlie said to August, "Care to explain why you left what looks like a…" Skye gave Charlie a look that almost dared him to use some colorful way of describing the girl August was speaking to. "Interesting time?"

"I am over girls who care more about what I am than who I am." August said as if it wasn't a big deal. Skye merely smiled at his answer.

Charlie just looked at him then back over at Kylie who was walking away. "Not saying you have to marry her…" Charlie said.

"Charlie, someone you see or are intimate with, if they see you as nothing more than well frankly a toy. You will feel empty during those 'fun' moments." August said, "Far better not to waste time on them."

"But wouldn't that be–" Charlie started.

"Charlie, it's exhausting." Skye interrupted, "Especially when they have no interest in you as an actual person."

Charlie was about to retort when August said, "Just trust us on this one."

Letting it go Charlie just ate more of his food. Luckily since he and Skye won their first match in the group stage they had a break the next day. August advised they still watch their groups round to get a look at their other opponent.

Pikachu had left Ash and Misty to go hang out with Skye and Charlie's Pokemon. While they were walking around the tournament village, a handful of fans asked for autographs from the two of them. They were able to sit and just enjoy the evening alone, looking up at the stars. Ash began to remember a time he was talking to Max, about best friends. Looking over at said best friend, he wished he didn't waste 5+ years they could have had together. Misty looked over at Ash, "Is there something wrong?" Misty asked.

"What? Not at all Misty." Ash said, now looking away back at the stars, a slight blush on his face.

"Was there something in my hair?" Misty asked, now feeling her hair and face trying to figure out why he was staring at her so intently.

Taking a breath Ash said, "Just remembering a time I really missed you back when we were kids."

"Oh." At that Misty blushed slightly, "Ash, why didn't you ask me on another date after Olivine?"

"Huh?" Ash said, now looking a bit gobsmacked at Misty.

"Well, we didn't really have another date, and then I guess the dinner I made before we got that call kind of was a date." Misty said though she wasn't particularly looking at Ash.

"Misty." Ash tried to get her attention.

"Then we didn't really get back together. Are we…just are we…" Misty trailed off now looking at Ash crimson across her face.

"Sleeping in the same bed and nothing else." Ash finished with a bit of a solemn tone. "Speaking of which we should probably grab your stuff from your room."

"Oh, right." Standing up they left for their rooms, Ash waited patiently in the hallway for Misty. She came out with her bag and together they went into Ash's room. What they didn't know was that Brendan saw them go into the same room. Ash was setting Misty's stuff down by the side of the bed she slept on last night. Before he had a moment to realize what happened Misty kissed him running her hands in his messy thick black hair. Ash instinctively picked her up grabbing her butt as she wrapped her legs around his waist and familiarity took over. Misty felt how hard he already was and groaned lightly. She began to grind her hips against him causing Ash to groan louder between kisses. Holding Misty against the wall, she broke free from the kiss and shoved his duster off his shoulder and clawed at his shirt. Using one knee to hold her in place against the wall, Ash pulled off her top and as he kissed the spot where her neck met her shoulder. This instantly caused Misty to pant. She missed this feeling so much and was just wanting to enjoy these sensations. Ash unfastened her bra pulling it aside he pinched and rolled her nipples between his fingers. Misty then began to nibble on Ash's right ear and commanded, "Put me on our bed now!" Ash complied, kissing Misty deeply it was as if he was battling her tongue as he laid her on top of the bed. Her hands pushed down his pants and underwear while his hands slowly peeled her shorts and panties off. Misty sat up and kissed Ash wrapping one of her hands around his throbbing hard cock making him moan against her lips. Ash felt her guiding his bulbous head against her dripping wet pussy, before he could hesitate and pull back Misty wrapped her right leg around his left hip encouraging Ash to push in deep. Ash leaned his forehead against Misty's forehead as they both moaned. Ash cried out and panted, "I love you Misty."

Ash began to slowly thrust his hips against Misty causing her to breathily say, "Oh Arceus, Ash I love you and I don't want to be separated from you again.. Don't ever leave me" Ash's thrusts began to pick up and both of them were lost in the moment. Ash leaned his head down to Misty's breasts and nipped at and sucked on her nipples as he kept pounding away. Hearing Misty's gasps and moans only spurred him on. Pulling him by the hair Misty made him kiss her as her hands went up and down his back tracing random shapes. Just as Ash was reaching what felt like a pinnacle of this moment, he heard Misty scream, "OH ASH, OH ASH! DON'T FUCKING STOP!" Locking her legs around his hips, his hands went underneath her back and gripped onto her shoulders to keep her steady as he fucked her as fast and hard as he could. Feeling Misty begin to tighten and suffocate his cock Ash grunted, "MISTY…."

"I AM ALMOST THERE ASH I OH OOO!" Misty called out before pulling him in for another deep kiss that they both moaned and groaned against each other as she felt it. Their cum mixed together as they ran out of breath sweating against the other. For a brief moment, neither moved. Then after some heavy breathing, they rolled a little closer together again. They couldn't stop kissing the other, neither separating from the other as they rode out the wave of their orgasms. Both felt like if they separated they would wake up and find it was just a really vivid wet dream. When they finally looked into each other's eyes all they saw was a mixture of bliss, sadness, excitement, and contentment. Ash's breaths were deep and heavy, while Misty's were short and shallow. Misty started pulling the covers over them as they just stayed entangled with the other till finally getting into a perfect spooning position with Ash as the small spoon and Misty stroking his hair. Just as she was falling asleep, Ash turned and faced her, worried something was wrong. Ash said quickly, "I just wanted to be sure this wasn't a dream Misty." Kissing her forehead which seemed to soothe her. With that they just held each other and fell into a deep sleep.
