Vala and Sam patrolled a long corridor inside a cement underground bunker, P90 in the hands, in position to fire. The offworld mission had gone wrong and the two ladies were now searching their missing colleagues. Halfway down the corridor, they heard people shooting somewhere in another part of the bunker. Teal'c, who was in that part, informed them by radio about the situation. The shooting ceased. Nothing to worry about as Teal'c said the enemy had been neutralized. Carter muttered into radio she and Vala were still searching.
Suddenly, a man appeared at the other end of the corridor. He didn't wait and fired at Vala and Sam with two hand weapons. The women avoided the shots and fired. Bullets hit the target. As soon as the man fell down, two other men appeared behind. Vala and Sam gave them no chance to attack. The foes fell down. Carter rushed to them and checked their pulse. They were all dead. Vala noticed the door nearby and informed Carter. The two women heard voices coming from behind the door and recognized them immediately.
Mitchell and Jackson were shouting for help. Unfortunately, the door seemed to be sealed because neither Sam nor Vala could open it. Carter decided to use extreme means. She grabbed a block of C-4 from a pocket of her tactical vest and pinned it against the door.
"Cameron! Daniel! I'm gonna blow up the door, stay away from it!" Carter shouted.
She heard one of the men confirm "We are!". She gestured with her head to tell Vala to move away, then, made the C-4 explode.
Vala hurriedly stepped through the smoke provoked by the explosion, leaving Sam a few steps behind. The lady with black hair suddenly stopped, stupefied.
Carter arrived on Vala's right. The blonde lady was agitating her right hand to get some air and visibility. "Vala, is everything…" Her voice faltered when she saw the scene in front of her. She remained still, as stupefied as Vala.
Cameron Mitchell and Daniel Jackson were sitting on the floor, strongly tied back to back by ropes.
The two men had their torso and legs uncovered.
Sam opened her mouth in shock and looked away, embarrassed. Vala smirked and kept staring at the two men, one in particular, very focused and amused. She was absolutely making the most of each second that was going by.
Cameron joked, "I know what you're thinking, ladies, but believe me, I had no intention to make it become a habit."
Indeed, that wasn't the first time the lieutenant colonel was found tied and without clothes on him after disappearing during a mission.
Daniel was much more embarrassed. Really not a personal highlight. He raised his eyebrows. "Hum… Would it be possible not to mention this in the mission report?" he asked despite he knew his request was hopeless for there was a particular witness.
"Oh, no chance, Daniel," Vala teased with a large smile. "It's gonna be the most precise mission report of my entire life," she promised, still eyeing the archeologist.
Daniel sighed and lowered his head, desperate. Carter knelt beside the men to cut the ropes with her knife. She reassured Daniel, having mercy for him, "I'll try to make this passage as short as possible."
"Thank you, Sam," the poor fellow said, grateful.
