CHAPTER 4

(QUAGMIRE P.O.V)

A week later the guys and I were hanging out at the Drunken Clam. It was Saturday morning, and i took a big gulp of my beer, as I listened to Peter and Joe's conversation. "So if I were a woman, and I walked up to you and began flirting with you," Joe began as Peter rolled his eyes at Joe's ridiculous idea. "And I say "Do you like jokes?" what would your response Peter?." "Is this one?," Peter sarcastically replied making Cleveland and i laugh, as I got up and headed to the jukebox. Clearly Joe's small talk class that he attends, isn't helping, but what the heck the response he gets from Peter is very entertaining.

"Hi," I heard a familiar voice, as I stopped and turned around. "I didn't think I would run into you here," Chloe smiled cheerfully, as she put her sunglasses on the top of her head. Instead of responding, I stared back at her with my mouth open wearing a stupefied look, as the album dropped out of my hand. As Chloe stooped down and picked the album up, while I tried to compose myself, I could hear my friends snickering, while their phone cameras took pictures of us. "Hey Hey Ch CHloe," I stammered, suddenly nervous all of a sudden. "I was having brunch with friends, and we decided to stop and have a few beers here," Chloe explained, handing me the album.

I gave her a small smile instead of responding. To be honest I was just surprised at her happy transformation given the recent incident. As if reading my mind she said "Look, i know you are kind of surprised that i'm up and running again, but i have come to terms with it, and i have learnt my lesson from online dating, I have a great support system from family and close be honest i'm over it." "Do you want to go out sometime?," I suddenly asked out of nowhere. "I'm so sorry!," I apologized. "I didn't mean-" "No don't apologize," she smiled suddenly and opened her purse, as she pulled out a pen.

"I would love to.I see my friends coming from the bathroom. So here's my number. Give me a call sometime." Chloe stated as she finished writing her number on my right hand palm. I watched as she walked away then , i closed my eyes, and inhaled her flowery perfume. Suddenly I got hit in the face with Peter's phone, knocking me out of my romantic stupor. "Peter!," I protested as I glared at him. "Sorry Glen, we've been calling you for about five minutes now," Peter exclaimed as I headed back to the guys, "Yeah Quagmire," Joe spoke up, raising a curious brow. "What was that about? Is that gonna be a new conquest?," Cleveland questioned me as well. I didn't respond. Instead i made sure to put her number into my cell phone,
