CHAPTER 9

(GENERAL P.O.V)

"Is everything okay Chloe?," Quagmire spoke up, as he shut the kitchen outside door, finally catching up to her. "Yeah," she sighed, smiling at Quagmire. "I overheard your conversation with Brian. Look, that guy's a dick, I hope you're not regretting me taking you here." "I admit Brian's confrontation came as a surprise, and was very unpleasant but i'm having fun." She smiled. Quagmire smiled back secretly relieved on the inside. After overhearing Brian and Chloe's confrontation, he was afraid the night would be ruined.

To his surprise, Chloe womanned up and told Brian off. Deep down Quagmire was proud of her. Another woman would have folded and gave into Brian's overbearing behavior.

Instead she showed a fierce side that impressed Quagmire.

"Oh hi you guys," Lois interrupted, suddenly appearing through the kitchen door.. "I just came out here to let you guys know that dinner is ready, and if you could kindly join us."

As Chloe and Quagmire sat down at the dinner table, they noticed the hostile stares that were directed at Quagmire, from most of the wives at the table. Especially Monica. "Whose bright idea was to invite this guy?!." One wife rudely spoke up. "Lois, you have got to do better." Another said. "Of course he has brought a date, and of course is still not married." "I mean," Another wife responded. "Who would? Turd of the century right there." Lois's face instantly became bewildered, as the floodgates opened with everyone's judgemental opinion of Quagmire.

Suddenly the non-stop opinions came to a stop, as Quagmire's chair was suddenly pushed back harshly. Quagmire was standing now, with a wide grin on his face. "And yet all of you are so unhappy with your lives," Quagmire responded nonchalantly. "So unhappy that one of you, Monica by the way," he pointed at her, who turned beet red with embarrassment.

"Pulled me into the Griffin's closet, and attempted to seduce me." All eyes fell on Monica who was shaking with anger. "I'll tell all of you what I told Monica. I've not only changed but i am doing the utmost to stay that way. So if you excuse me, my date and I will spend our evening elsewhere."

"Actually you don't," Lois spoke up, opening the dining room door. "All of you with the exception of Quagmire, his date, my family, Joe, Cleveland, and their families. Everyone else please leave my house, because I am in agreeance with Quagmire." And just like that the dinner party atmosphere became much lighter.
