Sup yeah yeah another story sorry but I've planning this for a while but instead of spreading out my focus to like 5 stories, Im just going to be focused on Tyrant and this. Now I hopw you enjoy my first ever fate fic

Hell, that's what he would describe the place he's walking through, it hurt, everything burned, his legs ached. He was tired and wanted to lay down and close his eyes but he couldn't, stopping now meant certain death and he would die in this place surrounded by fire and fallen debris. He had to keep going, it hurt, his skin burned, his muscles ached, his breath short, the smoke blotted his vision and peered into his lungs.

Voices cried as he continued his futile trek through this hell on earth, the voices screeching out for help, for someone, anyone to come and save them, but he didn't stop, he couldn't stop. If he stopped to help he would die along with them, so he continued on, not looking back.

He kept going and after what seemed like ages he saw a figure through the smoke, he couldn't make them out with all the smoke everywhere only seeing a silhouette but, all he needs to do is get to that person and he's saved, he so close he's—

Suddenly as he got closer a charred black plank crumbled under the weight of rubble and then slid down crushing him. The boy felt the debris fall atop him, his legs, chest, and left arm was crushed under the rubble. The boy looked at the retreating silhouette as his only hope to get out of this hellscape got farther and farther away.

The boy struggled; he pushed, pulled anything to get out of the rubble, he wanted to scream but his throat was too dry from the ash and soot. He was going to die here but he didn't want to die, he didn't want to die, he'd do anything not to die here.

"How pitiful, nobody is coming to save you. You're basically half-dead because of these paltry flames yet, you still struggle and cling to hope"

The boy heard a voice but unlike the screeches and pleas of the damned, this voice was clear even though there was a raging fire, and it held a sophisticated tone to it.

The boy looked up, in front of him was a man who seemed to be wearing some form of a business suit. It was black like the blackened wood surrounding the both of them, with the only other color on it being the red accents and tie.

The boy reached out to the man with his other hand, the one not buried under rubble as if begging him to help. Even though the boy could not see the man's face he could feel the man's gaze burning into him.

"My, my I knew I picked you for a reason, you're buried underneath rubble, your skin charred, emotions thrown away and body broken. Yet you still continue, your want and need to live outweighs everything else."

The boy as much as he wanted to keep on listening he couldn't. His body was slowly succumbing to the burns and the rubble crushing his lower half. Everything was slowly going dark as he became more and more numb.

"Ah here I go prattling on, well I came here to offer you a deal. A deal I know you can't refuse."

The boy could barely make out the man's words but his tone sounded ominous

" Do you want to live, boy? Cause if so" the man lowered to one knee and outstretched his hand " All you need to do is shake my hand."

The boy stared at the man's hand for a few seconds. If this was any other situation he would have denied the man, he thinks, but now he had no choice or he would die. What the man was offering couldn't be worse than this hellscape right?

The boy steeled his heart, reached out, and shook the older man's hand. Then suddenly as he shook the strange man's hand, the wind started to pick up, dispelling some of the smoke surrounding the two of them.

This allowed the boy to see the man's face, which was twisted into a wicked grin as his midnight black hair flickered in the wind and his dull red eyes seemed to glow in the dark.

"Well, my little rider your wish has been granted.''

Ash and soot swirled around the two of them, but curiously not getting into his eyes or lungs. Although covering the man he just made a deal with till all he saw were the man's glowing red eyes.

It couldn't be that bad….right?

X

Rubble flew past as a man in an all-black suit can be seen digging through said rubble. This man was Kiritsugu Emiya. He went by a few titles but two right now were the most prominent, these being the title of Magus Killer and the most recent title victor of the Holy Grail War.

"There has to be someone, anyone!"

The broken man had lost so much, sacrificed so much, for the greater good. What did that leave him, empty, but he had to try, to save at least one person he can't have all these people die if he can't save anyone that would surely break him.

"No, no no!" The man yelled in despair as he found another broken corpse, mangled and burned beyond recognition.

The man felt his heart sink, he truly was a failure not being able to save a single person.

"H-help."

Just as he had given up hope a voice rang out, it was weak, barely heard amongst the burning and falling debris. All that mattered to the magus killer right then and there was that he heard it that somehow he heard it.

Though he was tired both mentally and physically he ran, he ran as fast as he could stumbling against debris but he kept going. All that mattered was that there was someone alive he would save them, he had to save them.

His eyes darted around looking for the owner of the voice they were around here they had to be, he flung rock and blackened wood behind him. His lungs burned, his muscles ached but he needed to save this person if he couldn't he was sure his spirit would break.

After a short time searching he found a young boy, he had short auburn hair and was wearing a jacket and jeans with rips across them. Kiritsugu smiled, he smiled as he picked up the young boy from the rubble he did it he saved someone. The boy in question stared up at the man who pulled him from the fire and thought.

'I want to smile like that too.'

Then fell back into unconsciousness

Kiritsugu now with the boy in his arms continued his trek out of this hellscape, he had already steeled his heart to many tragedies so he wouldn't look back he couldn't look back. He hobbled through the debris not looking back, ignoring the cries for help. He didn't stop, he chose to save this boy he picked the many over the few, and in this situation, the boy was the many.

As Kiritsugu clutched the boy close, he knew they were nearly out of here just a bit further and they were home free, truly fate was cruel. As Kiritsugu walked towards the exit, the fire started swirling around him, the wind suddenly seemed to pick up as ash soot and fire swirled across the whole area. Kiritsugu knelt down cradling the young boy in his arm as rubble and flames swirled around them, as the wind and flames slowly died down around the two, Kiritsugu looked at the boy who he had held against his chest.

He could feel that the boy's heart rate was slowing and he was barely breathing, the Magus killer rested his back against unburning rubble, the smoke was getting unbearable and they needed to get out of here.

The Magus killer looked at the exit that they were going to take, it was closed with stone and the fire, the fire was different though it seemed more intense than before. As Kiritsugu tried to think of a way out of this hellscape, a wave of fire rushed above them, the sudden heat making the older man wince.

The flames then stopped spewing, Kiritsugu steeled himself and peeked around the corner to see what had created those flames. In the distance he saw it, it was a skeleton wreathed in flames. It stood in a circle of ash and flames if the boogeyman of mages had to say anything, this had to be the third craziest thing he had seen through this war up there with Caster's giant tentacle monster. The strange creature of bone and flame then began walking towards them, burning everything in its path.

Kiritsugu ducked back behind the rubble mind racing on how to get out of this situation, he didn't have the time to look for a new path out of here, they would both die through the smoke and flames, fighting whatever that thing was in his condition was definitely out of the option. He couldn't just run through the flame-ridden path of his old exit now that he could see what those strange flames could do.

He had no options no plan no way out, he looked at the boy in his arms who was still unconscious through all this.

"I can't even save a single child, I really am pathetic," the man patted the boy's head thinking of his own daughter.

"Oh, already giving in Kiritsugu Emiya, I was expecting more of a struggle from a broken man like yourself. How disappointing."

Kiritsugu looked to his left and saw a man in a black business suit, black as the ash around them, the only color on him being the suit's red accents and his red tie standing across from him. His most glaring feature though was his red eyes. Where he came from the Magus killer didn't know but he knew that this man wasn't normal.

"Who are you?" Kiritsugu clutched the boy in his arms, he analyzed the man further and saw he didn't seem to be carrying any weapons

The man let out a small chuckle

"Why, I am merely here to offer you a way out of this Mister Emiya, in the form of a deal. One I know you can't refuse."

The Magus killer thought about what this being was offering, a way out but not for free.

"What do you want from me?" the Magus killer asked the man before him, who was most definitely supernatural in nature

The mysterious man merely smiled at Kiritsugu.

"Why I am merely asking for you to work for me, and not a quick job no no no this is something that is more permanent. But don't worry in return for your service I'll get both you and the boy out of this place alive and I'll even get rid of that … creature"

The man then outstretched his hand to Kiritusugu, the Magus killer stared at the limb. He could hear whatever that thing was getting closer, the fire consuming everything around them and the smoke building up and he could feel the heartbeat of the boy in his arms continuing to slow. Kiritsugu had no options and no way out besides this and so he took the other man's hand.

Kiritsugu saw the man's face twist into a smile, god he hoped he didn't regret this, fire and smoke swirled around the three of them Kiritsugu could barely see the face of the man.

"Hey, what's going on, what are yo-!" Then suddenly the Magus killer let out an anguished howl as he felt something blazing hot, seemingly sear into his very soul burning his circuits. The last thing he saw before slipping into unconsciousness was a fading orange glow in the boy he had in his arms chest and the glowing red eyes of the man he made a deal with.

The young boy suddenly woke his eyes darting around him, what he saw wasn't the fiery hellscape from before nor did he see the man who had saved him. Instead, he saw he was on a flaming skeletal horse standing in a plain. He was facing a battle that seemed to be happening in the distance.

It was between a warrior and a massive black dragon, its horns pitch-black its leathery powerful wings causing wind to bellow and gust with a single flap. Its pitch black scales were contrasted by the grey underbelly and the glowing turquoise marking across its underbelly. The warrior that was challenging the massive beast the boy could only see the back of this warrior and his billowing cape but something else caught his eye was the man's weapon.

It was a sword, and a large one that shimmered with an emerald glow the boy was enraptured by it. He wanted to get closer to get a better look but he couldn't move his arms or legs to tell the horse to get closer as if he was paralyzed from the neck down as the only purpose of him being here is to merely watch the battle. The dragon then reared its head back as the warrior rushed towards it but before either could finish their assault on the other.

The scenery faded and the boy was faced with a ceiling, it was all a dream but it felt so real like he was right there watching what he knew was a legend in the making. The boy sat up and took in his surroundings. He was in a standard hospital room with a chair a few feet away from his hospital bed and there was a window to the right of his bed.

As he was taking in the look of his room the door opened and the man who walked in was the man who had saved him and he seemed tired but upon seeing that the boy was up a small grin formed on his face

Kiritsugu after having a small conversation with the boy he had saved and seeing that Avalon had healed him he had begun his search for the man he had made a deal with. But it hadn't taken him long as he was exiting the hospital and walking towards his car.

There he was standing right next to the magus killer's car in the parking lot, most definitely waiting for him. Now that Kiritsugu had the man right here his mind was racing. What did this man do to him and the boy when he "saved" them from the fire? What did he want from him? What jobs does this new permanent employment entail?

"Now Kiritsugu you must be wondering what I want from you and the boy" The inclusion of the boy he had saved surprised Kiritsugu.

"He shouldn't be involved in this" The magus killer focused his eyes on the man he was wearing an inverted version of the business suit he had first seen him in. With a red jacket and pants with a black tie and white undershirt. "I remember that our deal only involved me working for you and in a more "permanent" function than what I'm used too"

The permanent part may not even be a lie whatever that burning sensation was that day it had seared itself onto his very soul he could feel that it was some form of geass and here was the man who had signed it with. The man with his red eyes seemed amused at the Magus killer's response as if there was a joke he wasn't in on and in a way he was right.

"Why yes you're right the deal I made with you only involved you working for me permanently but, " the man's face broke into a slight smile " That doesn't mean anything about the deal I had made with the boy"

The Magus killer had known that whatever that glow was from the boy's chest was the action of this man right here." Now, there's no need to be so hostile. I am merely here to answer a few questions on your new employment."

Kiritsugu didn't like the situation he was in. He had no read on this guy. He seemed so nonchalant but seeing as he got rid of that thing in the fire he wasn't sure he could take him especially while he was in his current condition."Fine, seeing as you hold my life in your hands I'll listen" Begrudgingly the Magus killer had conceded there was no point in not hearing the man out

"Excellent, let me get straight to the point you are to watch over that boy even after your death, and should he ask for it you are to give him advice" The creature in the forms of a mans, eyes seem to sparkle at the Magus killers bewilderment

"Y-you're not implying what I think you're implying, and what's your interest with him he's just a normal child what value does he hold to you?" This thing wasn't no it couldn't have something to the third magic, could it?

"Do not bother yourself with the life after death as you are now. You are already going to die in a few years. I am just making sure you do not go to waste." The man then turned his head to the left as if staring at something. "It seems I must go but before I do the answer to the question on why I am so adamant on the boy's well-being. Why it's because he's my rider so I am merely making sure that he's taken care of besides his future involves you more than you think."

With that the man disappeared in a swirl of smoke, leaving the Magus killer in the dark parking lot, the task given to him by his new employer was to take care of the supposed child rider of this entity. The Magus killer didn't know what to do at the moment and decided to merely go home and plan out what he could do.
