The next day at school
Hey Miley. Where's Lilly?
I do not know. I haven't talked to her since last night. She said she had to pack.
"Why does she have to pack?" Oliver asked.
Didn't she tell you?
"Tell me what?" Oliver asked again.
"Lilly is moving…Her mom got a promotion…the only way to take the promotion was if her job got transferred. She has been waiting for this for years so she couldn't refuse. So long story short she is moving to New York City in one week." Miley replied
Oliver could not believe what he was hearing. He had liked Lilly since before he new Miley. He never wanted her to know because he was to embarrassed to tell his best friend that he liked her and then he found out that she was moving to a different state and across the country.
Oliver's jaw dropped after hearing the news and was completely silently.
"Oliver are you okay?" Miley asked.
Oliver just stood their stunned…not taking the news very well.
