Chapter 27: The Hunt-Part One
"Kid, wake up. Wake up."
Smokescreen slowing began to wake up with his optics trying to adjust his sights. His vision became normal to see Wheeljack and the other Autobots standing around him. He slowly got up and stumbled a bit to his feet.
"What happen to Evac and the others?" Optimus asked with concern.
"Where to begin?" Smokescreen said to himself before taking a deep breath. "Simmons' agents ambushed us and shocked myself and Evac. That's all I know."
Smokescreen did not dare to look at Arcee and Windblade who now looked hurt and worried for their kids. The two femmes found themselves in the female Wrecker's room sharing a full gallon of wix in which was their people's version of alcohol and drunk it like true drinkers. Before Windblade was a wrecker, she and her family were illegal bootleg brewers on Cybertron and had earned her first and only job at the bar as a bartender and part time waitress. Windblade knew all drink combinations and shocked Bulkhead when taking him to a bar for their second date, and drank her drinks like a male bot. The two were both very depressed even though they escaped from Megatron all thanks to Drift's incredible smoke bomb, and Crosshairs distracker bomb to guarantee their getaway.
"You made an excellent brew of wix, Wind," said Arcee, letting out a big burp.
"Yes, I know. I'm going to open up my own bar when we bring life back to our dead planet. I'm thinking of calling it after my son. What do you think?" Windblade asked before taking another sip.
Arcee took her turn on drinking. "Sounds good. For me, when I open up my very own bank, I'll be naming it after my daughter. Scrap, I hope she's okay," she said worriedly.
"She is, Arcee. Same goes to the others. You sure you want to own and run a bank?.It's not easy you know," said Windblade with sisterly smile.
Arcee returned the smile back. "Don't forget Wind, I use to work at a bank as a loan officer. I know absolutely everything on to run a bank. Let alone I worked at the number-one trusted bank on the planet."
"Yeah, and during the war on our planet, I asked you how can I get a loan and you said I need to give you something that's worth keeping until the debt is paid off. But of course you were a mean bot after your husband was murdered in front of you, and you had a big attitude and insulted my wedding ring that my Bulky have worked hard to make for me. Remember?" Windblade said with her eyebrow raised.
Arcee rolled her eyes, remembering that day in the dark dead planet. She gave every Autobot the cold shoulder and pushed them away from her all except for Windblade, who wanted to keep her company even though Ultra Magnus gave her orders to be on the list of missions to attend. Windblade could not stand to let Arcee be alone and just can not think of what could happen. Arcee did not want get her best friend/sister to either be hurt or killed when being around her. Of course the two remembered losing Elita-1 doing a mission together on an organic life planet. The two to this very day were still traumatized on that event even though they could not officially be sure that the femme wrecker died since they couldn't bring her body or remains back to Cybertron.
"I figured you two were trying to get drunk."
Arcee and Windblade turned to find Bulkhead in the doorway and he looked at the two a little sad to see the girls like this.
"Hi, Bulky," Windblade said sadly before drinking again.
"Wind, honey." Bulkhead begin when getting in, "I know you're upset about losing Raf, but we will..,"
"We?" Windblade looked at Bulkhead with a ticked- off look. "I told you that something was wrong, but instead you wanted to fight and think about our sparkling!"
"Wind please let me..., Bulkhead ducked down when seeing his wife's sword being thrown face first with the blade. The blade merged to the slide door.
Bulkhead slowly got up and made sure he took his time before Windblade might decide to beat him, and only this time it won't be a marriage game neither.
"You never once called Raf son! His our child...part time. But you always wanted a boy for solar years during the war for our planet. We wanted to have it but never have the chance to do so. Sure, we mated but never worked on doing so much on everyday. But thanks to the Allspark we have our prayers answered, and you are not grateful for it!" A now furious Windblade yelled before she began crying.
Arcee was too drunk to calm her down let alone do anything as her body had gone to sleep. Bulkhead slowly reached to his now crying sparkmate and pulled in for a hug. Windblade cried hard as she was so upset about the whole situation. She did not mean to be angry towards her lover, and Bulkhead knew she did not mean to say that.
"I wanted to call him son, but I just don't want him to feel uncomfortable about the whole thing. I promise you that we will get him back," said Bulkhead with passion in his voice.
Arcee managed to recover a little bit from her drunk mode and knew that she have no business to be drinking in her situation. She only drank for being depressed and the fact that Miko was not around to see her like this, as she wanted to set an example and such.
"Be strong for me, sweetspark. Mommy is going to get you as soon as Brains find the hack password to the now secure Sector 7," Arcee said to herself before informed the two goodnight so she could sleep her drunk state off before taking part in searching S7.
Arcee lay on her bed thinking and praying for her sparkling and hoping that Miko will not do anything dumb. And strongly hoped that Jack was protecting her with everything he had. She closed her eyes and dreamed happy dreams of her and Miko living a peaceful life together as mother and daughter on Cybertron, and was completely happy to see herself being a mom outside without disguising herself from the public eye. She woke up the next day feeling her hangover hitting her head with great strength that she might have to take medicine to ease the pain away from drumming.
"Oh, Allspark, it feels like a monster truck hitting my whole head with full maximum speed. Ouch," she complained before hearing her door begin to open.
She looked to see Grimlock carrying freshly brewed medical oil in his hands and bringing it into her. He smiled when setting it down on the table before looking at the woman with a smile on her face.
"You know, drinking a huge amount of wix will give you an unimaginable headache. Getting drunk is not a good helper in our situation," Grimlock said sitting down on the floor.
"I know, but I need it more than you can imagine, Grim. Thanks for the cup. You're a good friend," she said before sipping the green oil.
Grimlock nodded. "Anytime. Brains is still trying to hack the system and shutdown the alarm before we can go inside and do some...ambush takedown." He said.
Arcee smiled at that idea, grateful to have a great team to work with. "I'm just dying to get my daughter back as soon as possible, you know. Can't wait."
"We'll get her, Jack, June, Cindy, and Raf back," the Dinobot said. "And knowing your daughter, she's making that agent regret kidnapping her."
Arcee chuckled a little, having no doubt he was right.
Sector 7...
Agent Simmons was in his office doing some last-minute paperwork while looking at the TV to see video cameras of each person or bot in their cells. Cell one contained June who was still currently cussing like mad while walking back and forth in her cell. The next one contained Jack who was on his bed looking up at the white ceiling with bored look on his face while waiting for his breakfast to come to him. Simmons looked at Raf's cell to see him still reading one of the Goosebumps: Night of The Living Dummy series and see he was very into the book based upon his face reaction. Then he looked at Cindy to see her playing chess with herself and trying to make it a bit challenging for herself.
"Raf and Cindy are nerds. Bunch of big geeks," he said before continuing to look at his prisoners.
He looked at Evac, who was placed in a super strong electric shield box. Evac was locked down by his ankles to prevent the chance of using his super speed and currently facing the wall. He took a glance at that camera and looked at it for a brief moment knowing that his being watched at the moment before looking back to his wall. Simmons finally looked at Miko, who was playing with her toes and try to bite her toenails off to keep them neat. Simmons wished he did not see that before seeing the girl look at the camera with anger.
"Can I have some privacy here?! My mom and the family are going to kill you and it is so out of my hands. I am not responsible for whatever they are going to do to you. Especially my mom!" She said while making a rude gesture with with her hand.
"They can't get in due to my base being on lockdown," Simmons said before going back into his work.
Miko glared at the camera. "Don't be so sure," she said, knowing her family. She then looked away, hugging herself before resting her head on her knees. "I miss you, Mom," she said softly. "Please come soon."
Will the Autobots come in time? Stay tuned to find out. :)
And please leave John2851 and myself a review, but no flames!
