Chapter 32: Arcee's Original Tragedy-Part 1
The entire members of Team Prime, both Autobot and human were all seated around, waiting for things while staying put at their base and some decided to rest their eyes or optics. One thing was getting the results of Miko's DNA from the one blood sample that they collected to have a better understanding of her new hybrid/mutated body. And second was waiting patiently for Miko to finally wake up from her own self cryostasis slumber. It has been hours since they left and destroyed Sector 7 while killing off a few Cons in the process, and Team Prime was mainly concerned about their hybrid teenager. But the main bot that is majorly and extremely concerned the most was Arcee.
She hadn't never left her daughter's side for nothing. She waited patiently for her lovable sparkling to wake up so she could shower her with multiple hugs and kisses, along with a side of a demanded explanation of why she purposely consumed her key. A key that was Cybertronian. Arcee knew before she adopted Miko that the young Japanese girl was quite smart enough not to eat anything extraterrestrial. Especially if it is dangerous and toxic.
Besides that, Arcee just wanted her sparkling to wake up. The Cybertronian woman could not afford or handle another personal tragic experience in her life. Arcee witnessed the death of her husband, Tailgate, after being tortured by Arachnid who wanted intel from her in which she had zero information. She remembered how she begged that monster to spare her husband and told her that she had no knowledge to spill. And of course, Arachnid ignored her plea and gladly killed Tailgate right in front of her with no consideration.
And then she became friends with Cliffjumper who then became her fighting partner right after and before they reached Earth through a space bridge all thanks to Shockwave. Which made Arcee and Cliffjumper fight him and the Cons in order to prevent them from reaching the specific location of Optimus and the remaining Autobots. However, their partnership did not last for long as Cliffjumper has gone offline thanks to Starscream. The memory of hearing Starscream's confession just angered Arcee to the point it cost the chances of ending the war, due to her selfish and fruitless ambition of getting revenge for Cliff. However, Arcee had her original tragedy way before the death of her husband and best friend/war partner. Someone that only Windblade, Optimus, Jazz, and Ultra Magnus knew about.
"Elita. My baby sister.", Arcee spoke quietly while no one could hear except for Jack who was slightly asleep.
Yes, Arcee once had a sister by the name of Elita. Elita Oneleone or Elita-1 for short. Since Arcee's family's last name is Oneleone and such. More importantly, she suffered the loss of her only sibling and can never forgive herself to this very day. It all started when Arcee and Windblade both thought and agreed to take Elita on their attempted 'get-rich-quick score' after Optimus had given them the whole week and weekend off from the Autobot Army due to the Autobot Army's Labor Union. The two had figured out that it might possibly help Elita overcome her painful spark break after getting left at the altar by the man-bot that she deeply fell in love with. The bot that Arcee or anyone else didn't have any knowledge of what his name is but they did know of his occupation, which is working at the Hall of Records. The same Hall of Records where Smokescreen used to work or was assigned to during the war for Cybertron.
"We should have never gone to that awful organic planet," Arcee told herself with sadness and regret before looking down at her still knocked-out daughter. "Poor thing, you will never know that you had an actual aunt. And you never will."
Jack heard every word that Arcee just said and wondered why she didn't want Miko to know that she had an actual aunt. He stayed laying his head down on Miko's abdomen and had his hand on her ice-cold hand. Jack felt weird about sleeping on someone whose body temperature was dead sub-zero but alive and yet it did not motivate him to leave Miko's side. As such he made himself fall asleep and tried his best not to snoop on Arcee's personal self-talk, but unfortunately, he could not resist. As for Arcee, she currently was playing with Miko's hair after washing it and fixing it back to her original hairstyle. Trying to find a distraction to prevent herself from remembering back to the day she had lost her sister. But her willpower was not strong enough to do so.
Flashback...
Arcee was in a three-seater U-shaped spaceship with Windblade who is in the middle chair currently driving the ship, and her sister Elita-1 who was eagerly excited for the assignment.
Elita-1 looked strongly identical to Arcee in the face, height, and body, except for her color scheme.
In contrast with her beloved big sister, Arcee, Elita-1 was extremely flamboyant, energetic, comedic, a cook, a singer, let alone being childish and sensitive. The three were twelve solar systems away from their own solar system as they were tracking down and retrieving a missing Cybertronian bank ship that crashed eons ago. Based on Arcee's sources, a drunk elderly retired bank worker from her former job before the war had told her about one of the bank's spaceships that had gone missing and crashed on a planet. He told Arcee and Windblade at the bar that the ship is not worth retrieving despite how much shanix it contained since the planet that it crashed in was strictly forbidden to all Cybertronian. Unfortunately, it did phase or put fear in Arcee or Windblade since the two desired to be filthy rich to have their own business and never have to work for anyone ever again.
The three were just five minutes away from the planet and none of them could not stop grinning wide at the thought of being wealthy. As such, they were already talking about what they were going to invest in with their fair share of their shanix. Let alone licking their lips after imaginary smelling the sweet smell of shanix coins. Those three femme bots have the taste of greed in their mouths.
"We're going to get paid!" A super excited Elita-1 said. "I'm investing my share of the money by buying one of Cybertron's oil spa centers. I just love to soak my little feet in fresh hot clean oil before getting a pedicure!"
"I feel the same way, Elita," said Windblade, with a smile on her face. "I'm going to use my share to build my very own bar club since I already know how to make good bootleg liquor all thanks to my alcohol bootlegged family."
Arcee rolled her eyes playfully. "To be honest with you, Wind. Outrunning the Feds after they spotted us selling illegal booze and barely escaped, let alone stayed hidden for a week, is seriously not the idea of hustling."
"Ha! And here I thought they were chasing you guys because of how super cheap you guys are!. Hahaha!" Elita slapped her thigh while laughing. Oh, Allspark, I kill me!"
Windblade started laughing before flying around an asteroid while Arcee just shook her head and tried to keep her laugh inside. The three flew at the sight of the large dark purple rocky planet and could not wait to get their hands on the loot. They ignored the constant warnings about this certain planet based on Cybertron's list of forbidden planets to not go to but have not explained why. Now, Arcee and Windblade did talk this over amongst themselves at the pub for a good while at their rented private booth. Sure, they were not so sure about going to a forbidden planet since no bot has ever gone there and not returned home since.
Unfortunately, both Arcee and Windblade needed the money to keep their sanity intact after the Autobot Army was no longer paying for their service due to not having enough cash to pay the soldiers. Instead, they needed the money to be invested more in warships, weapons, and medical funds. Plus, they needed a getaway trip from the war and needed to have their minds distracted by the thoughts of not being mothers. And finally, they needed to cheer up poor Elita badly after that jerk guy bot hadn't shown up to make an honest woman out of her. Thus, angering Arcee as any typical big sister would. She still has not yet known his name since Elita has never revealed it to her despite how much she fussed at her about it.
"And we are here!" Elita got out of the ship with huge excitement as soon as the ship had touched solid ground.
"Elita, wait!" said Arcee, a bit irritated by her sister's childish attitude. "Allspark, I swear she is going to be the death of me. I still don't understand how she became a wrecker and not me."
Windblade closed and locked the door to the ship before joining her best friend as the two watched Elita jog in place while stretching her arms. "Be thankful you have one sibling, Arcee. I have to grow up with twelve older brothers. I'm literally the only daughter in my family."
"Oh, you poor, poor, poor little sparkling," said Elita, pretending to rub her left optic of tears to mock her best friend.
Windblade arched her brow in mock anger and stuck her tongue out in response. Elita did the same before laughing it off in her silly response. The Wrecker managed to rub it off as she and Arcee had run to catch up with Elita as the three began their hiking. Of course, Arcee had led the walk as she had a device tracker that she borrowed from the inventory to help track down the ship's signal. So far, the three climbed downhill while having their blasters out in case something goes down before stumbling upon a huge cave.
"What the...?" said Arcee, Elita, and Windblade in unison.
The three fembots looked at the structure of the hole as it was covered in some sort of dark purple webs in which neither of the three have any knowledge of what it is or who made it. But one thing is for sure, the signal from the device was showing that they were getting warm. This encouraged the three fembots to go inside the deep dark cave and turn on the flashlights in their optics to see better before traveling any further. Now, on any given assignment whether it is personal or non-military, except for Elita, Arcee and Windblade would usually talk amongst themselves with no issue but their surroundings both secretly scare and quiet them. For some unexplained reason, this forbidden planet was giving them an unwelcome and unwanted feeling as if it is telling them that their kind does not belong here.
As for Elita, however, it did not stop her from running off her mouth. Currently, she was complaining and whining like a little five-year-old sparkling in a boring store with her mother or grandparent. And both Arcee and Windblade were getting very irritated by it. It is the one thing that they disliked about Elita's personality. It was true torture.
"We've been walking for solar hours. How long is this going to take? Are we there yet, Arcee? Windblade, can you do anything to make this search much quicker? My feet are starting to hurt!" Elita complained, getting on the two fembots' last nerves.
"Elita!" Arcee turned to face her sister with a deep frown. "Stop complaining! I swear in the name of the Allspark, stop acting like a little sparkling and grow up! I'm truly sick of your childish attitude."
"Well, I'm sick of your uptight attitude!" Elita shot right back at her sister with a childish tone.
Arcee stopped her walk to turn back to her sister with anger. Irritation was getting the best of Arcee as Elita is the only bot that can push her buttons since that is what any typical sibling would do. Which Arcee has an extreme limit of tolerating it. Regardless of how many times she has to put up with during the day of their childhood. Windblade wanted to interfere with the confrontation between the sisters but could not do so, due to hearing unrecognizable sounds.
"Elita, you are not a little kid anymore," spat Arcee with a frown. "You are a grown woman. But yet, you still act so freaking immature. When are you ever going to grow up?. It's like I'm seriously dealing with a spoiled five-year-old sparkling trapped inside of a grown fembot."
"You're one to talk, Sis." Elita put both hands on her hips to imitate Arcee. "Cause you and I have always been spoiled rotten by our mom and dad. Especially, Daddy, who wanted us to take over the family business after he retired. But noooo, you refused to be part of that lifestyle and started being rebellious against Daddy, when he constantly get on you with his same old speech about how our family business is meant for you and me to take over. And yet, you opened your stupid mouth and freaking convince me to be on your side on the final day you two had fallen out."
Arcee tried to keep calm and not attack Elita as she spoke. "I refuse to be a mafia gangster and you shouldn't be one either, Sis. I want an honest living and not a dirty living. Which is why I told our father off and got where we are now."
"Yeah. Which were you convincing me to be our advocate and got our dumb selves cut off from the family and aid!" Elita yelled.
"Shhhhh!" Windblade hushed the two with seriousness and spoke in a whisper. "Do you two want to attract unwanted attention towards us?! In case you did not know something is in here with us."
The feminine sisters stopped their silly bickering and started looking at their surroundings with caution. With seriousness, Arcee and Elita looked at each other and nodded before pulling out their double blasters while Windblade took her sword out. All three stood silent and listen. Listening to the sound that was so close. The three had no idea as to what resided on this organic planet as the noise was getting louder and louder. The three stand their ground as they had no clue as to who or what is approaches them.
Hisssssssssssssss! Hissssssssssssss!
"What in the name of Allspark is that?" Arcee questioned, scanning their surroundings.
"That is a million shanix question, Sis. Whatever it is, it's not native to our planet," responded Elita.
Windblade stands closer to her best friends while clutching the handle of her sword tightly. The three waited to unfriendly greet the native that was heading their way before hearing the hissing noise coming to a stop. This confused the feminine bots as they could have sworn that whatever it was coming to them had stopped, regardless of how extremely close the unidentified thing was approaching. With this, it made the three lower their weapons and relax from the huge exhilaration hype. Bracing the unknown is one thing that no bot would dare to step in that territory unless you are freaking Megatron.
"Well, here I thought we're going to get our hands...", Elita was cut off speaking after something bust through from the ceiling and jumped on top of them with great force.
The thing that gave them the jump is an eight-legged and eight-eyed creature with the body size of an Insecticon and has strong glowing blue veins covered all over its body. The three got scattered with Windblade having her back make contact with the wall while Elita hit the ground. As for Arcee, she was on the ground having her hands on the front legs of the aggressive spider who had its mouth wide open with fangs showing. The spider tried to force itself to reach down to bite Arcee but she used her strength to try to push it back. The alien spider hissed in frustration and was not going to give up to what it seemed to make the attempt to devour her.
With quick thinking, Elita ran over to Windblade and placed her hand to download a copy of one of her abilities, before attacking the thing. Once the process is done, Elita turned around and limited temporarily used an imitated version of her wings and activated the fan blades of the wings to shoot a strong plasma beam at the spider. It burned the back of the spider and got its attention and charged at Elita with a hiss and stand up on its hind legs. At that exact moment, Arcee activated her tonfa blades and jumped forward at the thing, and cut through it. The spider hissed and fall down in half poured out a mix of blue and purple blood.
Arcee reversed her blades back while Elita's limited-time imitation ability wore off before embracing her sister. Windblade went over to hug the two in relief before examining the dead unknown creature. She took out her scanner to scan the thing before gaining information.
"It looked like it tried to suck my energon," said Arcee, having her one blaster out in case the thing was faking its death.
"Ewww, gross!. That's so savage," commented Elita.
"Well, Arcee, you are not wrong here. Its mixed blood does have energon. Meaning that this organic creature lives off organic food and energon. Meaning that it might eat the bots that crashed down here," informed Windblade, who backed up from the thing in disgust.
"But the question is, how many are these things?" Arcee asked before looking up at the open ceiling that the spider made.
"I don't want to find out real soon. Come on, let's go up there. It might just be a shortcut to the loot," said Elita, grinning wide on the thought as she squat down and jumped up to grab a hold of the edge of the hole.
Windblade and Arcee looked at each other before joining Elita on the floor above them.
But what they were going to find was something none of them were prepared for.
What did they find? We shall see. :)
Also, I ask this nicely, please don't ask me or John2851 when the next update is. We both work a lot, so some updates do take some time. Unless the story is marked 'Cancelled', it is still an active story. Thank you.
