They Don't Know About Us
Author's Note: Hey everyone and welcome back to They Don't Know About Us! The long awaited moment! Luffy and co have arrived at Marineford and are about to fuck shit up! This is definitely where Marineford takes a canon divergence!
Additional Notes: I would place this chapter at episodes 467 to 471 of the anime. I have been once again rewatching Marineford (I actually really enjoy this arc… I just don't like how it ends, it breaks my heart) while I've been writing the actual Marineford portion of this fic. Just a quick reminder that Sanji is probably gonna be OOC when it comes to his gushing over women. He doesn't really react to Hancock because him and Zoro got together on Amazon Lily.
Chapter Warnings: Normal.
Chapter Fourteen: One Day (by The Rootless, One Piece Opening 13)
Chapter Summary: Luffy and the Strawhats show up at Marineford with their army of Impel Down prisoners in tow. Luffy announces to the world that Ace is his brother. Sengoku thinks he has another trump card involving Luffy. Mihawk, Luffy, and Zoro meet on the battlefield. Luffy realizes what Mihawk is doing. Sengoku moves forward to execute Ace. Shockwaves are sent through Marineford once again as another ally shows up to aid Whitebeard.
Mihawk was careful as he moved throughout the battlefield. Rushing in his steps as he weaved through the fighting, careful not to notify anyone of him passing by.
Just a little from him was Marco. The First Division Commander still fighting as he approached. The blonde Alpha had thrown off the Marines, the soldiers sliding across the ice and away from them as Mihawk finally got up to him.
Marco growled looking at him, standing in a fighting stance and ready to fight. Looking at the uncertainty on Marco's face, Mihawk could deduct that the First Division Commander was conflicted about him standing before him. Like he wasn't sure if he should attack or not. This entire time, the Commanders had left Mihawk alone. Even with him standing right before them.
"Hawkeyes." Marco addressed him.
"Marco the Phoenix." Mihawk returned. "I have some information that your Captain might have some interest in."
Momentary shock came to Marco's face before it settled. "Why should I trust you?" Marco questioned, a growl leaving him.
Mihawk smirked. "You're the phoenix on Ace's necklace, are you not?"
Marco's eyes widened, his fighting stance dropping slightly. "How'd you…" His voice trailed as the recollection came to his face. "When you dueled each other." Mihawk nodded, giving a noise of confirmation.
"I'm sure you have some idea of what my relationship to Ace is. I have no intention of attacking your nakama. I'm here for one purpose and one purpose alone." Mihawk stated, peering over his shoulder to make sure that none of the Marines were close to him. "I'm only doing this because of him."
"Just spit it out already!" Marco snapped.
"The Marines plan on trapping your nakama and your allies within the bay. While this is happening, they plan on executing Ace at the same time." Mihawk stated. Marco's eyes widened even more, his jaw dropping open. "I have no doubt that they have more planned and that is all I know. From what I've gathered, they are putting their pieces into place now."
Marco got a new look of determination on his face and gave a nod. "Who exactly are you to Ace?"
"In due time, you will know." Mihawk stated as he turned and started back towards the plaza wall. He had given the message. Now he just needed to wait a moment longer. He already faltered the plan before by cutting down those Marines before, if he started now, the Marines would figure him out.
He was starting to get impatient.
X
Luffy had a set look of determination as he stared at the battlefield. Most of the fighting at a stand still as they looked at Luffy and Whitebeard. Luffy paused, turning his head to look at Whitebeard, "Oh man, there's something I think you should know." Whitebeard hummed. "They are planning on executing Ace immediately. They have something else planned but I don't know what it is."
Whitebeard growled. "They are throwing out the schedule to make an immediate execution. Are you positive that's what you heard them say?"
Luffy nodded. "Yeah, they said they got to get all set for something first though. I don't know what for cause they were using codes." Luffy paused as he could feel the anger starting to radiate from the other Alpha. "I think you want to rescue Ace as bad as me, so that's why I'm telling you."
"Well, alright. I suppose it's lucky I ran into you then. Thanks, kiddo." Whitebeard said.
"Sure thing. No big deal." Luffy replied. The young Alpha took in a deep breath, "Right! Hang on, Ace, I'm on my way!" He yelled, jumping from the mast of the Moby Dick, and starting down the ice. The rest of his nakama falling in behind him.
He pulled his arms behind him, stretching them with a scream of "Gomu Gomu Bazooka!" Launching the attack and hitting the crowd of Marines.
Zoro behind him had his three swords at the ready, moving in with his Onigiri. Sanji was already kicking at his own group. His foot slamming into the jaws around him. Robin used her Devil Fruit abilities to produce arms on the backs of Marines before promptly knocking them out. Chopper had switched over to his human-beast point, punching his own set of Marines. Brook cut through his own as he went. Nami using her Climatact and Usopp using his Kabuto to send Flaming Stars at them. Franky was also punching at Marines as he continued on. All of them working in sync as they started to break through the large crowd of Marines that came up on them.
Luffy started to coat his fists in haki as he went, growling as more Marines came up on them. "GET OUT OF MY WAY!"
X
Ace's heart was beating against his chest as he watched his brother and his nakama advance despite how outnumbered they were. "Luffy…" Garp whispered.
"One daredevil rookie and his crew take the lead, and they are acting like a whole new army. Not that it matters. Our strategy is airtight." Sengoku stated.
Ace kept his eyes on Luffy. Watching as his brother punched his way through Marines. The Third and Fourteenth Divisions following close behind him.
"DON'T HESTITATE! FOLLOW MY ORDERS!" Sengoku yelled through the den den mushi. His voice ringing out over the battlefield.
Ace could only hope that whatever this plan was, Luffy didn't get caught in the middle of it.
X
As soon as Mihawk disappeared from sight, Marco turned his arms into his flaming wings and started back towards the Moby. This was absolutely something that Whitebeard needed to hear. He had heard the ringing of the den den mushis before. This must have been what they were talking about before.
It also started to prove a little more on Marco's theory. Mihawk had to be Ace's Alpha father or even somehow related to him to risk giving him that information. He had seen Mihawk's initial strike, taking down Marines has he went. Even if he wasn't acting fully now, he was acting in his own way in order to give the pirates the upperhand. This might just be what they need to step forward.
Sengoku's voice was ringing over the battlefield. It was only proving more to Marco that they were planning on throwing everything out the window to try and keep the Marines in the winning position. His heart was pounding as he got closer to Whitebeard.
He landed behind his Captain. "Hey, Oyaji, in case you haven't heard… word on the street is they are expediting Ace's execution." He stated.
"Straw Hat told me. How are Squard and the others?" Whitebeard replied.
"They are tangled pretty tight with the Vice Admirals at the head of the bay." Marco said. "But, Oyaji… there's more… Mihawk told me that they plan on trapping our forces within the bay as they execute Ace. That's all he knew. I was about to fly out and give them a helping hand."
"So, my gut was right. Sengoku is wanting us to advance. That old bastard is too smart to let his strategy get out that easily. He's a lot of things, but not a fool. He wanted us to hear that message." Whitebeard stated. "Hang on with flying out. Do you think we can trust Mihawk?"
Marco hummed. "I think so. He told me that he only gave me that information because of Ace. He didn't go any further, but I'm starting to believe that he really might be Ace's father."
"I think you're right, Marco."
X
Luffy growled as they continued to run forward, a large pillar of light flashing in front of them before the man behind it was standing there. "Hey, you're the jerk from Sabaody!" Luffy yelled.
"You're the one the Celestial Dragons asked me to take care of." Kizaru replied, lighting up the bottom of his foot just like he had done back at Sabaody. When he was trying to kill Zoro.
"Luffy, we can't take this guy!" Sanji called out.
"This son of a bitch again." Zoro growled.
"Nice to get a second chance." Kizaru drawled.
Luffy ran all the possibilities through his head. They were nowhere near strong enough to take on an Admiral, that had been proven at Sabaody. The only reason they had gotten away was because of Rayleigh. That was before Kuma got to them.
He kept running, trying to think of a way out of this. He needed to continue forward if he was going to get to Ace.
Before they could do anything, Ivankov yelled out, "Death wink!" Sending them all flying to the side and out of harms way.
The light causing an explosion just where they had been standing. Luffy did a quick check over his nakama to make sure they were okay.
"Are you still breathing Straw-boy?!" Ivankov questioned.
"Sure am! Thanks again, Iva! See yuh!" Luffy called back, pushing himself up and starting off in a run again.
"See yuh!? You do realize the only reason that I'm here is to save your rubber butt?!" Ivankov yelled out.
Before anyone else could say anything another large ray of light lit up the area around them. "Damnit, Kizaru." Ivankov said before suddenly his eyes widened. Luffy looked over to where he was looking just as he said, "Kuma?!"
"Hey! That's the guy who shot all of us across the sea!" Luffy exclaimed.
"We definitely need to stay away from him." Usopp stated, huffing as he was breathing heavily.
Kuma released the light beam from his mouth, aiming for Ivankov. The Revolutionary Army member managing to get out of the way. "Are you even looking at who you are—" Ivankov stopped, letting out a noise of surprise as another beam went right through his purple afro.
"IVA!" Luffy called out.
"Quit talking! Don't worry, I've got this under control. Just let me handle this and just run those skinny legs to Ace!" Ivankov replied.
"If you say so." Luffy muttered, taking back off towards in the direction of the plaza. The group didn't make it far before two disks were flying at them and another man started to punch at Luffy. Luffy flipping himself backwards to keep from getting hit.
"Sorry, your luck got away from you when you ran into us." The pink haired man stated.
"Well, Straw Hat, might as well lay down cause this is where you die." The man with the funky glasses added.
Luffy frowned, cocking his head to the side as he tried to remember them. "Do I know you?"
"I'm Fullbody! I've been waiting a long time to make you pay for what happened at the Baratie!" Fullbody exclaimed.
"Hey, that's the guy I beat the shit out of." Sanji said, kicking a nearby Marine that came at him. "He really shouldn't have split my food."
"Oh yeah! He is the guy that you kicked his ass, Sanji!" Luffy laughed, watching the warped look come to the other man's face. Sanji snorted as he continued on with his own fight.
Usopp growled next to Luffy as the next guy held up his circle knives. "It's you. You tried to kill Kaya!"
Luffy looked between the two before it clicked. "It's the hypono guy!"
Usopp already had Kabuto ready, sending a Fire Star at Jango. The two being blown away from them. "Go, Usopp!" Luffy yelled.
"Useless sacks of crap." Another woman stated as she walked up.
"You're the cage lady from Arabasta. I don't have time to play games with people!" Luffy growled.
"I never play games." Hina replied.
Luffy watched around him as Hina sent out a cage, encircling them all. Luffy quickly activated second gear, grabbing ahold of Nami and Usopp before jumping. Robin using her powers to put wings on her back and grabbing Chopper as Sanji and Zoro jumped out of the way. Brook and Franky getting blasted out by Franky.
They all landed on their feet, Luffy letting his nakama go as they continued on running ahead. "Luffy, watch out!" Robin screamed out. Just seconds later, he was being hit in the head by a spiked metal club.
"Now, die!" The Marine screamed. Luffy growled, punching the man in front of him. Sanji, Zoro, and Robin made quick work of the other Marines around them. Luffy jumped, "Gomu Gomu whip!" He yelled as he kicked the Marine in the side of the head, causing him to go sliding away.
They were once again surrounded as they charged forward. Each having multiple men on them as Luffy tried to punch and kick his way out. "Be careful guys!" He called out to his nakama, gaining noises from them as they continued to fight within their own battles. Having their backs to each other to guard the other.
As they finally broke through, Luffy could only growl again as they came up to Gecko Moria who was summoning up zombie soldiers from within the ice. "Capture Straw Hat alive!" Moria yelled out.
"Stupid Moria! I don't want to deal with the creep now!" Luffy exclaimed.
Zoro ran ahead, cutting down a few of the zombies.
Luffy jumped on the back of one, kicking another before he was full of bullets, sending them out. Sanji kicked a few of them out of the way. Usopp using a few of his own special attacks to keep the zombies at bay.
"Capture Straw Hat! He's the one responsible for the jail break!" A Marine shouted as yet another group advanced on them.
"There's no end to them." Chopper stated.
Luffy could only grunt as he started to fight off the men who circled around him. The others also gaining their own opponents as they worked to get through. Luffy grabbed one of the swords that had been stuck in the ground when he landed on his back. Coating the blade with haki, he swung, blocking a blade that was meant for his head. The blade in his hand causing the one above him to break.
He tossed the blade to the side as he got up, rushing forward. He had wished that he had Yoko on him, but he carelessly left the sword on the Sunny when they were in Sabaody. It would come in handy right now. He barely used a sword, but now seemed like a good time to use one if he had it.
X
Ace could only watch in horror as Luffy fought his way through the Marines. His nakama backing him up. Strikes landing on each of them. Splatters of blood leaving their wounds as they were hit. He could feel Luffy's anger from where he was. The determination.
He couldn't let Luffy do this. The Strawhats. They were not ready for something like this. It was clear to him that they had already been through hell and back. They should be recovering somewhere. Not here on the battlefield.
He gasped as he watched a blade cut Luffy's arm.
He couldn't contain it anymore as he finally screamed out, "LUFFY, STAY BACK!" His voice had caught the attention of everyone. The fighting still occurred, but it was obvious the attention was on him now. Even Luffy seemed to pause for a moment before looking back at him. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! You became a pirate because I wanted to be! You only went to sea because you were following me! I've got my own damn life without you in it! I've already got enough of my own friends! You get it?! I want you to stay the hell away from me! You really want to save me?! A scrawny wimp like you?! What makes you think I would even want something like that?! Huh?! It's just humiliating! GO HOME, LUFFY! I didn't ask for this!" He screamed. He knew what he was saying was harsh, but he had to get Luffy out of here. His crew out of here. It was bad enough his own nakama were here risking their lives. He couldn't bare the thought of watching his own brother die before his very eyes. It would be all his fault.
I'm begging you, please I can't let you die here with me. It's my fault. It's all my fault.
"Ace! YOU'RE MY BROTHER!" Luffy screamed. The shocked exclamations followed from the Marines as Luffy bounced through the Marines. The Strawhats right behind him as they all worked together.
Ace felt the tears in his eyes. Why did Luffy have to be like this?!
X
Luffy was beyond angry as he fought his way across the battlefield. Haki covered fists knocking out any Marine who dared to step in his path. The sting in his eye and his nails sharpening. His brother really knew how to piss him off. Knew exactly what buttons to push.
"I don't give a damn what you want!" Luffy screamed back. "I'm here to save you!"
"You stubborn jackass!" Ace screamed back.
Luffy slammed the closest Marine to him into the ice, jumping up and round house kicking the next group who came up on him. "You want to talk about going home?! Guess what! That's still a pirate ship, you damn moron!" Luffy screamed again. "The sea has always been our home and I'm here to make sure you go back!"
"Wait, Roger has another son?!" A Marine muttered.
"Both of Ace's parents are dead."
Luffy growled, turning his head to look at them. "Our parents aren't dead, you asshole!" He stated, punching the Marine in the face. "Roger isn't our father!"
Moria called out to his zombies again, but sea water was sprayed on them as they started to advance on the Strawhats. The Marines around them know on the ground. Jinbei jumped from the ocean water, landing next to Luffy.
"Jinbei!" He exclaimed.
"They are made from Devil Fruit powers, so thus, weak to sea water." Jinbei stated. "Press on, they will prove no match for me."
Luffy nodded. "Sure."
"YOU ARE MAKING A MOCKERY OF THE NAVY! BY LETTING THIS ROOKIE TAKE CONTROL OF THINGS!" Sengoku announced as a Giant came in front of them. Luffy jumped around as the club was swung at him that the Giant had. The other Strawhats getting out of the way. "Make no mistake! He is a true threat of the Navy! He was raised alongside Fire Fist Ace as his step brother."
Luffy paused, eyes widening. Since when was Ace his step brother? That was a damn lie. What the hell was Sengoku on. Now making up lies about Luffy? Who even told this man all of this? Zoro jumped between Luffy and the Giant as he swung again. Reminding Luffy he was in the middle of a fight.
"HE'S NOT MY STEP BROTHER! HE'S MY BLOOD BROTHER, YOU BASTARD!" Luffy screamed. "WE HAVE THE SAME PARENTS!" He jumped up, going to punch the Giant.
"If that's not bad enough, he's the biological son of the Revolutionary Dragon!" Sengoku announced.
"He's the son of the Revolutionary Dragon?!"
"Dragon had a son?!"
Luffy blinked, forgetting for a moment what he was doing. Faceplanting straight into the club that was being aimed at him. The Giant gawked at him. Eyes wide and mouth dropped open. The Alpha pirate shook his head, forcing himself to focus at the task at hand. Pushing off of the club and forcing himself back into the air. The realization dawning on him of what Sengoku had just said.
"We can't let him live!" A group of Marines yelled out.
They thought Dragon was his dad? That had to be the funniest thing he ever heard. He knew for positive a group of Marines including Coby and Helmeppo knew Dragon was his uncle.
The laugh leaving him that left the entire battle around him stomped.
"Is Straw Hat… laughing?" One Marine questioned.
"What's so funny about that?" Another asked.
"Holy shit, that is the best thing I've ever heard! Do you really believe everything that he says? YOU DAMN MORON! DRAGON ISN'T MY DAD! HE'S MY UNCLE!"
"UNCLE?!"
A few of the Marines shared glances. "So, is Dragon his dad or Uncle?"
"Doesn't matter which one! He still has Dragon's blood!"
"Luffy, you idiot! You could have just said he wasn't your dad!" Nami exclaimed, attacking a few of the Marines who had been distracted.
"What?! It's the truth!" It dawned on him. "Oh, right! Ignore that! That's supposed to be a secret!"
He watched collectively as a few Marines fell over in shock. Even Sengoku's eyes widening as he looked over to Garp from what Luffy could tell. Ace's face was no longer warped in anger like it had been, but once again confusion before it was replaced by amusement.
"Luffy-san, watch out!" Brook yelled. Luffy dodged the hit that was coming his way, growling as the Giant attempted to stop him.
Luffy couldn't control himself as the Marines were muttering among themselves. The mere sight of their faces causing him to burst into audible laughter. Only leaving them in more confusion.
"Luffy, we're in the middle of a war!" Nami exclaimed.
The rest of the Strawhats looked just as amused as Luffy felt.
He looked back to Ace, the determination back on his face as he screamed out, "SAY WHATEVER MEAN STUFF YOU WANT! I'M STILL GOING TO SAVE YOU!"
He punched the Giant, making sure haki was infused in his fist as he snickered activating third gear.
The Giant fell down to the ground as Luffy gave a shout of victory. Looking up at Sengoku, he addressed the Fleet Admiral directly with a grin on his face. "No matter what lies you spread! Me and Ace know who our parents are! You can say Roger and Rouge are his parents. You can say Dragon is my dad. IT'S ALL JUST A LIE! EITHER THAT OR YOU'RE JUST STUPID!"
"If you wanted their attention, Straw Hat. You got it." One of the okama stated, the group of okama now crowding behind there the Strawhats were standing.
"Don't let that group advance any further. Hold them off and put that rookie in the ground." Sengoku ordered over the den den mushi, ignoring what Luffy had to say.
"Make 'em pay!" One Marine screamed. All of the Marines rushing forward. The pirates and okama standing at the ready, rushing forward and colliding with the enemy.
Luffy punched his way through. Getting hit in the stomach in the process by a club, which bounced right off of him. He flipped himself into the air, releasing his twin pistol move to blow a few of them away. "You are not going to stop me from saving my brother! You might as well get out of my way!" He screamed as he ran forward.
Zoro and Sanji at his side now as the others broke free from the group of Marines. Luffy jumping up and inflating himself as cannon fire rained on them. Blowing away a few of them as Zoro cut through a couple of his own. Sanji kicking back some. Franky firing towards the cannon fire.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Luffy screamed.

The people of Sabaody could only stare wide-eyed and jaws dropped as Sengoku announced Straw Hat Luffy was the son of Dragon. "The world criminal in history… has a son!" Fear and murmurs rang out throughout the courtyard.
"Oh my god… Does that mean Fire Fist is Dragon's son?! If they are blood brothers they have to share at least one parent!" Another person said. "Fire Fist Ace looked just as confused as before when the Fleet Admiral said that."
"Could it be another lie?" One person questioned. "Hibiscus Rouge already has been proven to be alive to us. Could that mean that everything the Fleet Admiral is saying is a lie?"
They could only watch in shock as Straw Hat Luffy began to laugh. "He's… laughing…" Someone muttered.
"Holy shit, that is the best thing I've ever heard! Do you really believe everything that he says? YOU DAMN MORON! DRAGON ISN'T MY DAD! HE'S MY UNCLE!"
Silence fell over the Sabaody courtyard. Each of them blinking up at the screen. "So, Dragon's blood doesn't live on?"
"I never believed I would say this, but right now I'm trusting those pirates over the Marines. Straw Hat genuinely looked surprised at what the Fleet Admiral said." A man stated, his arms crossed as he stared at the monitors. "I'll believe Hibiscus Rouge's words that we will know the truth before this is over."
"Does it make it better that he would be Dragon's nephew instead of son?"
"There is a whole lot more to this than we know."
The people of Sabaody turned towards the Marines again. The soldiers grimacing as angry faces turned to them. Collective shouting starting as they demanded answers.
X
Ace fully believed that Sengoku had drank too much or took something before he had came out on the platform. Sengoku believed that Dragon was Luffy's dad and that they shared no blood? Who exactly gave Sengoku all this information?
Ace was choking down a laugh now as he watched as Luffy screamed at Sengoku about who Dragon was to them. Sengoku's look of astonishment on his face as Luffy called out his bluff. This was war. A war that his very life depended on and he was here on the scaffold… laughing. Garp's pheromones had been hanging over him the entire time. The only reason that he had so far stayed calm despite his outburst towards Luffy.
Garp had been right. This was going to get interesting. What else could possibly happen that hasn't already?
Garp was back to laughing himself next to Ace. Munching away on his rice crackers, even offering some to Ace again that the Omega refused. Ace dropped his voice as Sengoku addressed the soldiers. "Gramps… is he on something?"
Garp chuckled. "No. He just actually believes that. This is the first I'm hearing it too." The Alpha replied.
Ace snorted, looking back out to the battlefield. The feeling of dread and guilt still pooling in his stomach despite the words of his nakama and brother.
He just wanted all of this to end.
Footsteps came up behind them before it was quickly followed by, "Excuse me, Fleet Admiral, sir! But the Pirates from the New World have changed their battle tactics!"
"Yes, it seems like they've turned to the sides." Sengoku drawled.
"They suddenly started attacking the approaching Navy ships!" The solider replied.
Garp had placed down his rice cracker bag next to his leg, crossing his arms over his chest and getting a strange look on his face. Almost like a mask over his amusement and urge to comfort Ace. "Your bluff's been called. Seems like Whitebeard sensed that something was wrong." The Omega eyed him, his eyes widening at the glint in his eye. The one thing that his entire family had in common. Their eyes always told the truth. The entire story.
Garp was holding back something from Sengoku. That much was clear to Ace. Something he couldn't say.
"I must admit it was a bit ominous. Still, he can't prevent the inevitable just because he sees it coming." Sengoku replied.
Ace watched as Garp looked at him through the corner of his eye. The Omega pausing as Garp silently communicated with him. His body relaxing again despite the tension in his shoulders. Garp absolutely knew something and wasn't saying.
X
Mihawk was actually stunned. Stopping what he was doing to look over to Sengoku in disbelief. It was one thing that they already lied about Ace. Now they were lying about Luffy to cover their own asses?
He still firmly believed that Sengoku actually believed the lies he was saying. The Marines around him started to panic, stating that they needed to kill Luffy more now than ever. Mihawk rolled his eyes, flicking his wrist and sending a wave of power towards them without a second thought. The pirates staring at him in shock as he walked away. "What just happened?" He heard one of them question. The Marines left standing gawking at him.
"Straw Hat is not Dragon's son. I'm surprised Sengoku is going to such lengths." Mihawk stated, moving forward towards the plaza wall. "You are all fools if you believe a word he has said about Roger or Dragon."
The Marines were staring at him with a mixture of fear and confusion. All of their eyes wide as one stammered out, "Why did you do that?! You're supposed to be helping us!"
"Just collateral damage."
X
Luffy panted as he continued trying to get through the waves of Marines. His nakama just as exhausted as he looked them over. He could see Zoro wincing, trying to cover it up as he slashed through a group with his Onigiri. Usopp looked terrified as he continued to use different forms of his star bullets. Robin was breathing heavily as she continued to use her own powers to knock Marines unconscious. Sanji, Brook, and Franky weren't fairing much better. Chopper was switching between his forms, but it was clear he was exhausted too. Nami had a look of determination on her face, but he could see the falter in her step.
They were all exhausted from their time at Impel Down. He was sure not one of them had gotten a wink of sleep the entire time they had been there. They were all running on fumes. They still had so far to go before they even reached the plaza. They were running out of time and there wasn't much he could do.
Luffy grunted as he landed a couple of more hits to his enemies. The okama being a good addition to take some of the strain off of them. "DEATH WINK!" Luffy grinned as Ivankov blew a lot of the Marines away. All the ones that had been surrounding his nakama and the okama.
"Iva! We have to clear these jerks out to get to Ace!" Luffy stated. "Jinbei!"
Jinbei rushed back over with a shout of "Fishman karate! Five thousand fist!"
"Death wink!" Came from Ivankov.
Luffy threw his arms back, stretching them out with a scream of, "Gomu Gomu Bazooka!"
"I'M COMING!" He screamed as they all ran forward, ready to break through.
Moria was once again in front of them. Luffy internally groaned. He really hated this guy. "I'll handle this! My karate skills will be more than enough to take you on!" Jinbei announced, preparing to fight Moria in their place. "You keep going Luffy! Don't worry about this filth!"
Luffy kept running forward. "Thanks, Jinbei!"
The Alpha huffed as he tried to breath properly. His body screaming from the overuse as he continued forward. He had to do this. He had to get to Ace no matter the cost.
He blinked as a sword slashed in front of his face, catching his hair as he leaned back. Zoro came in front of him, taking down the Marines as Sanji kicked the one next to him. "Thanks, guys!"
"Luffy, you still need to take it easy. Especially with what happened at Impel Down." Sanji stated, standing back up with a straight back. Lighting another cigarette.
"I'm fine. I just have to get to Ace." Luffy replied before he could say anything else. The Alpha was hit on the side of his face. Sending him flying backwards as he looked at the person responsible. "Geez, it's you! Smokey!"
"LUFFY!" His nakama called out. He looked over to them momentarily to see that Zoro had engaged in a fight with a very enraged Tashigi and the others now swarmed by Marines again. These Marines were never ending.
Luffy caught himself, getting back up as he looked at the Alpha in front of him. Smoker stood there, glaring down at him. "I finally found you. About time." The Marine Captain growled.
Luffy clenched his teeth. "I forgot your weapon is covered in sea stone. That makes you a cheater. Fine, second gear!" Luffy huffed, activating the gear.
You can attack a Logia user with armament haki, Luffy. Ace's voice rang through his head. Luffy grinned. He wouldn't fall for the same mistake twice. He coated his arms in haki as the steam rolled off his body from his second gear. Preparing to attack Smoker.
"I'm not going to let you get away this time!" Smoker stated.
Luffy used his Jet Gatling, Smoker moving out of the way at last second. Dodging his move completely as he floated up into the air. "You're a lot stronger than you used to be." Luffy launched himself into the air, sending out the same attack again.
Smoker disappeared within his own smoke, Luffy unable to tell where his actual body was with the smoke moving out. Smoker's head appeared, but the Marine dodged as Luffy sent out another punch. The Alpha pirate growled as Smoker stated, "I can return the compliment to you. You're a force to be reckoned with." Smoker slammed the point of his weapon into Luffy's throat. He could hear his packmates call out for him, and through the corner of his eye he could see them trying to break away from the Marines below to try and get to him. His body slammed into the ground with Smoker now kneeling over him. "Hate to tell you, you're still not strong enough to beat me."
"Damnit, you cheap jerk! Move that thing!" Luffy said, wheezing at the force over his neck.
"After all this time… I finally understand the truth. I know why Dragon really helped you. If it weren't for him that day. You'd be dead." Smoker hissed. "You may have had Dragon to save you at Loguetown, but no one is going to save you today."
"I just forgot to use haki! It was great that my Uncle was there, but I can handle myself." Luffy growled.
Smoker's eyes widening for a second. "Uncle?" Seems like Smoker was too busy fighting to hear what Luffy had to say before.
"He's my great uncle, not my dad. Though, I don't think that makes a difference. Uncle Dragon would never let his family get hurt." Luffy said. "I don't have a doubt in my mind that he will show up here. It's not an if… it's a when."
Smoker growled, pushing the weapon harder into Luffy's throat. "Uncle, father… it doesn't matter. He's not here to save you."
"This sucks…" Luffy muttered.
"GET YOUR FILTY HANDS OFF OF HIM!" The Alpha's eyes widened as Hancock's voice reached his ears before suddenly her foot was slamming into the side of Smoker's face. Launching the Marine off of Luffy. The Alpha pirate sputtered as much needed air came into his legs and his strength was returning from the removal of the sea stone.
"How did she hit him! He's a Logia type?!" Tashigi gasped from where Zoro now had her pinned to the ground.
Luffy looked over to Hancock, seeing the absolute fury on her face and in her eyes. It actually almost sent a shiver down his spine from feeling her pheromones radiating through the air. Threatening those around.
"Why did the Pirate Empress just save Straw Hat?!" A Marine shouted from where he was engaged in combat with Franky.
"Hey, Hancock. Don't tell me you are resigning from the Warlords?" Smoker growled, pointing his weapon at Hancock now. Hancock was now placed directly between him and Smoker. Blocking the Alpha Marine's path from him as Luffy pushed himself off of the ground.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH! The screaming fury of my heart has left me deaf to your words! How dare you pin my beloved down with your boorish club and threaten him! YOU WILL DIE FOR YOUR ACTIONS! I have never been this angry in my entire life! I will feed you piece by piece to wild animals!" Hancock screamed, the venom and fury laced with every word.
Luffy was now being assisted off of the ground by Chopper and Sanji. Both asking him if he was okay. Luffy nodded at his nakama, assuring him that he was fine. "Thanks, Hancock!" Luffy beamed. Watching as Hancock smiled and blushed at him.
"I'm happy you got my name right again!" She exclaimed, the anger almost nonexistent as she spoke to him.
"She's got it bad for you, Luffy." Sanji muttered. "Such a beautiful lady, and you don't even realize it."
Luffy cast his cook a confused look before he was smiling back at Hancock. Hancock was now facing him with a smile plastered to her face. "What the hell is happening?! I thought Hancock was supposed to be on our side?!" A Marine exclaimed.
Hancock placed her hands in front of her like she was about to turn him into stone. "I never stopped believing that you wouldn't make it here alive. Now, here you are." She muttered as she dropped her hands, reaching into her top, leaning down close enough that only Luffy could see what she was doing. "Take this. It's the key to your brother's handcuffs."
Sure enough, in her hand was a key with the Marine insignia on it. Luffy gasped as he looked at the key. "Thanks, Hancock!" He exclaimed, grabbing her hand and taking the key. Jumping up with a loud exclaim and wrapping around the Warlord. "Hancock, yay! You're so awesome! I could hug you forever! You're such a pal! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
"It's really no trouble at all! I'm just happy I could help out. Really, just go and save Ace." Hancock muttered.
Luffy snapped out of his happiness, "Oh, yeah, right!" He jumped down, taking off running with his crew in tow. Having taken care of the group of Marines. "Thanks, again!"
"Luffy, what did she give you?" Chopper questioned as they ran forward, now in his reindeer form to be quicker on his hooves.
Luffy looked down to his enclosed palm, opening it to look at the key residing there. "It's great. Just the exact thing I needed." He stated. "It's the key to Ace's handcuffs!"
"How did she get that?!" Brook questioned, the shock in his voice.
"She is a Warlord. Warlords have a lot of leeway within the World Government. She could have easily have gotten it. Just from her looks alone, any man would hand that too her." Sanji replied, his face flushing over pink as he all but squealed.
"Oh, can it, stupid cook." Zoro muttered, a slight smile on his face anyway as Sanji turned his head to grin at him.
"HOLD ON, ACE! I'M COMING!" Luffy screamed out. Punching through the next set of Marines that came up on them.
In front of them was Ivankov and Kuma. "Hey, Iva! Be careful. His paws! They're dangerous!" Luffy called out.
"I'm alright." Ivankov replied. "Kuma, get out of my way." He addressed the Warlord directly.
Luffy watched in shock for a moment as they got up to Ivankov. "You guys friends or something?"
"Were, but he's not acting like himself." Ivankov muttered, the shock within his voice.
The blonde next to Kuma cackled. "I'm sure this is a lovely trip down memory lane for you, but I'm afraid the Kuma you know is no longer with us." The man stated. "This is the new-mod."
"New-mod? What do you think he's talking about?" Luffy questioned.
"I don't like where this is going." Robin muttered.
"He wants to get under my skin! Yeah, okay. He's acting pretty different than usual right now, but he's still Kuma!" Ivankov exclaimed. "Wake up, buddy! Hey!" Kuma didn't react to him. A growl leaving him. "Oh damnit all. He's always been the quiet type.
"Are you deaf or just stupid? It's no use trying to talk to him. It happened just a few days ago, Doctor Vegapunk… the government scientist finally finished his modifications on Kuma and now he's the ruthless weapon of death he should have been from the start." The man stated. "Ladies and gentlemen, the former Barthlomew Kuma!"
"Luffy, be careful. He's a Warlord. Doflamingo I believe." Robin said, walking up next to Luffy's other side. Luffy nodded, keeping his eyes on the Warlord.
"Doctor Vegapunk?! Mods? What the hell are you talking about?!" Ivankov gasped.
Doflamingo cackled. "Kuma, here, volunteered to be a genie pig in a study to build the ultimate human weapon. Run by the government at of course. First, they modified his hands. Then his legs. Though his mind was still intact. They modified his body piece by piece."
Zoro growled. "That would explain why his shoulder was metal when I attacked him that one time." The Alpha gripping tighter on to his swords.
"Human experimentation?! How much sicker can the government get?" Nami gasped, hands over her mouth.
"This is way to freaky." Usopp muttered, his legs shaking.
"Until he was no longer the same Kuma that you know and love." Doflamingo finished.
"Nonsense! Kuma has always hated the World Government, you jerk! As if he would sacrifice himself for their stupid plan." Ivankov fought back. "Kuma, snap out of it! It's me!" The okama screamed towards his friend. Still gaining no reaction.
"Stop yelling. It's starting to get on my nerves. I don't know what kind of deal he had with the World Government. He was fine just a few days ago. It's funny, but tragic. Before you know it, someone's gone. In Kuma's case, he doesn't even realize he was once human so the poor sap might as well be dead." Doflamingo stated as he walked over and sat on a pile of bodies. "Now, he's just a monster that the World Government has do their dirty work. It's the latest! Greatest! Pacifista! PX-0! You're new old friend!"
Just as Doflamingo finished, Kuma released a light beam from his mouth. Luffy, Ivankov, and the others barely dodging in time as an explosion happened on the ice behind them. "Kuma, you better stop firing that laser crap at me right now!"
Luffy huffed as he pushed himself up, looking back at Kuma. "Yeah, I remember. Even then he knew." He stated, thinking back to Kuma's last words to him at Sabaody. Kuma knew this was going to happen to him. It pissed Luffy off.
"Kuma, that's enough! Surely you recognize me!" Ivankov pleaded.
"Poor Iva…" Chopper muttered.
"He's in denial." Sanji added.
They all gasped as Kuma disappeared, loud cries coming from behind them as Kuma reappeared. Taking off his glove. "HEY! Watch out you guys! Get away!" Luffy tried to warm the okama. They were quickly blown away as Ivankov radiated anger, running towards Kuma screaming about his face.
"Galaxy wink!" The various attacks hit Kuma, sending him away from them.
The fight broke out among the two as Ivankov protected his okama. "I have met a lot of people, but no one forgets MY FACE! NO ONE!"
"That's what he's seriously mad about?" Zoro questioned, the sweat dropping on his forehead. Luffy eyed him as his swordsman turned back to him. "We really should get going."
Ivankov instructed his okama to continue on with them as Luffy wished him luck, rushing back off towards the plaza.
More Marines came in front of them that were quickly dispatched by the okama. "Thanks!" He called to them as they advanced. Luffy paused as he felt the familiar haki in front of him. He grinned, laughing as he realized who was standing before him.
"You are making quite the scene, Luffy." Mihawk stated.
Zoro growled, jumping forward ready to attack. "Zoro! Wait!"
Mihawk had already moved, blocking Zoro's attack. "Still as ferocious as ever, I see." Mihawk drawled.
"You. You're his father and you're helping the enemy! What kind of father are you?!" Zoro growled.
Luffy paused as the group came to a standstill. "I am helping him. I just have to bid my time wisely." Mihawk replied, pulling Yoru away from Zoro in time to aim an attack at some approaching Marines. From where they were standing, it looked like he was sending an attack at the Strawhats. The move missing where Sanji was standing. Going right by the blonde Omega.
Zoro had completely froze. "But… you're here with the Marines." He muttered as he lowered his swords.
"That I am. Not willingly." Mihawk stated, turning his gaze to the side, and once again letting out a burst of power. Blowing away another group of Marines that was coming after them. "I was given a choice. Either be in attendance here or locked away in Impel Down with a revoked status."
"I see. You accepted so you could still be here, and not end up like Jinbei!" Robin exclaimed.
"Ace is probably really angry with you." Luffy laughed.
"He is, but he will see one day why I did this." Mihawk replied. "I would give up my title any day if it meant his life."
Zoro made a tsking sound. "I'm sorry, Luffy. Hawkeyes. I misunderstood." The Alpha said.
Jinbei had rejoined them at this point. "Hawkeyes."
Mihawk tilted his head at Jinbei. "Jinbei." He simply said before looking back to Luffy. "You must know, they plan on trapping the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies within in the bay. I don't know what they plan to do next, but then they will execute Ace immediately. We need to hurry if we want to make it on time. I'm expected to be out here, or I would already be in the plaza." Mihawk explained. "I would be in there already, but I need backup if I want to get to him."
Luffy's eyes widened. Mihawk never admitted when he needed assistance. Always taking pride and having confidence within himself. Mihawk knew his strength and power. "Papa, what do we do?"
"Just hurry as fast as you can. I will keep the Marines at bay here, but I'm expected to stay in the bay until they are ready than they will signal for us to return to the plaza." Mihawk replied. Luffy nodded. "There's more."
"Huh?"
"I'm sure you've ran into Kuma by now from what I've seen. They have more of the Pacifistas coming. They are programmed to know ally versus enemy. Do not let one set their eyes on you, understand." Mihawk narrowed his gaze. "Duck."
Luffy did as he was instructed, motioning for the others to follow. Mihawk swiped Yoru within seconds of them dunking, the power radiating off is blade and crashing into the frozen tsunami. Cracking the top off entirely before it started to crash down.
"Okay, a sword can't do that! Can we please call that thing anything but a sword!" A Marine screamed out who had been on the nearby wall.
"I'm sure Whitebeard will understand the message. I sent Marco back to him with the same information I've told you." Mihawk stated. The broken ice falling onto the Marine battleships that had remained unfrozen behind the allied ships. "Your fighting styles have improved. All of you. Though, you are still far too weak for this war. Tread cautiously and watch each other's backs. You, Luffy, are able to rally those around you to your aid. Use that to your advantage."
Luffy smiled at his Alpha father, laughing slightly as he turned back to his nakama. As they were watching in amazement at the display of power, Luffy's attention was caught by a nearby tornado of sand. Which had to have been Crocodile's doing. "That's kind of cool." Luffy muttered.
"Luffy." Mihawk's voice cut through Luffy's thoughts.
"What, Papa?"
Mihawk was smirking. Luffy looked at him confused for a moment as Marines started to head their way. Luffy could hear the mixture of voices within the sand, noticing one right off the back.
"Don't mind me! Just passing through!" Buggy's voice rang out within the sand.
"Grab him for me." Mihawk said. Luffy eyed him for a second, seeing the mischievous glint within Mihawk's eyes. Luffy snickered thinking off all the names he heard Buggy call Shanks in his presence. The man destroying his straw hat. He was going to take some pleasure in this.
"Gomu Gomu!" Luffy did as he was instructed, stretching out his arms and pulling Buggy down. Ducking his head just as Mihawk slashed Yoru through Buggy's midsection. Buggy letting out a scream as his body split in two. The others around them were snickering or laughing as Buggy wailed. "Human shield!"
Buggy twisted his upper body, grabbing Luffy by his shirt and getting nose to nose with him. "Hey! What's wrong with you! I'll die!"
Luffy smirked. "What?! I didn't slice you! Besides, I just heard you say! Don't mind me, I'm here to save you!"
Buggy growled. "There is no way that your hearing is that selfishly selective!"
Luffy snickered as he pushed Buggy towards Mihawk. "Gomu Gomu Human Shield!"
Mihawk quickly cutting up Buggy in front of him. Seconds later, Buggy was back together in a yell of, "ENOUGH! Your sword's not working! Suffer this special muggy ball and blow up!" Luffy laughed as he watched Buggy's face drop, eyes wide as Mihawk simply moved Yoru to deflect the ball. Sending it right back at Buggy. "Or, maybe not. Anyone want to hear a joke instead? How is the muggy ball like a robust financial market?"
"I dunno, how is it?" Mr. 3 asked. All of the prisoners who had been with Buggy now standing with them.
"That moron." Zoro muttered.
"Did he really think a muggy ball would work against Hawkeyes?" Nami gaped.
"Say it together everyone… it goes… BOOM!" Buggy exclaimed as the muggy ball exploded.
"Now, hurry, go!" Mihawk said through the commotion.
Luffy and his nakama were laughing as they ran off, Mihawk sending out another wave of power to block a group of Marines from them as Luffy jokingly yelled out, "Thank you, Buggy! See you in the afterlife, I guess!"
As they advanced, more Marines came up on them. Luffy smashing two of their heads together and jumping over them. His nakama spreading out slightly to attack. Brook putting some of them to sleep with his music. Robin continuing to knock them out as she went. Zoro slicing down any that tried to get to Luffy. Sanji twirling on his hands and kicking at some as they approached.
"ACE!" Luffy screamed out, hoping with everything that Ace could hear him. Get through to him. He refused for Ace to die today. He could still feel Mihawk's power behind him. Working in their favor.
The prisoners and Buggy from before flying through the air and landing a little ways from them. Luffy rolled his eyes as he rushed forward. Pushing his body onward.

Ace froze, a tingle going down his spine as heard footsteps coming up behind him. Garp next to him tensed completely. Coming up next to him were two executioners. Standing on either side of him. Within seconds their swords were crossed in front of his neck and torso.
They were going to execute him. Early.
There was no chance for him.
His heart pounded. He did deserve this. He had commit so many crimes of his own. He had defied his Captain. Ignored direct orders. Yet, he couldn't stop the fear in his chest knowing that Luffy was down below. Fighting for him. Risking his life.
He would never make it.
Ace was about to die.
Ace closed his eyes. Waiting for the inevitable. Giving a silent goodbye to his loved ones. Shanks, Luffy, Mihawk, Garp, Dragon, Rouge, Marco, Whitebeard, Deuce, his nakama. All of them.
He just hoped they would be okay.
These were going to be his final moments.
"Fleet Admiral! Everything has been arranged!" A marine announced.
"And the next phase is complete?" Sengoku said.
"Yes, sir! Everything is all set!"
I'm so sorry… all of you…

The people of Sabaody were in shock as they watched the executioners. Executioners who were not supposed to be there until three. It was no where near time for that. It had only been an hour and a half since the start of the war. This was far too early.
"What?! They are already preparing for the execution?!"
"Hold on! Is it really about to happen?!"
"This is ridiculous! Why would they announce the time and change it at the last minute!"
The shock erupted from the crowd.
"This isn't right! Someone has to stop this!"
"Let him go! They are trying to kill him based off of lies!"
Rage filled the people as they collectively called out for the execution to stop.
"What is going on here?! He might be a pirate, but this is just wrong!"
"Stop this!"
"C'mon, pirates! Get to him!"
"I've never thought I would see the day that I rooted for the pirates! Save that poor boy! They want to kill him for something he isn't!"
"Let's go, Whitebeard! Get to your son! He needs you!"
They all paused as they heard Sengoku's voice over the monitor. It was faint, but not one of them missed a word. "Kill every video feed out of this place! As members of the Navy and the World Government, we are fighting for the cause of righteous and absolute justice and we must prevail! Even if that means stepping over the line! It's too much for this naïve word to understand. Let alone see. There is no reason to submit innocent civilians to the horrific imagery about to unfold. The only news that will spread about this war once it is over is our victory. The details are irrelevant."
Silence fell over the entire Sabaody courtyard. The Fleet Admiral's words echoing through the snail he probably didn't realize he was still holding close enough they would hear his voice.
"Oh God… what's about to happen?!" A woman cried. "This isn't right!"
"Protect us?! They are ashamed of their actions! They don't want us to see the brutality of what they are about to do!"
The reporters there instantly were on their own den den mushis, spreading the message around as more rage rang out throughout the crowd.
"COME ON STRAW HAT! SAVE YOUR BROTHER!" One woman screamed, soon the chorus rang out of the people calling out for Luffy and others for Whitebeard.
The Marines could only watch on in complete shock as they watched the favor turn from the World Government over to the pirates.
All because Sengoku didn't realize he was still holding his den den mushi.
X
Luffy growled as he stared up in shock up at where Ace was on the scaffold. His heart skipping a beat as he looked at the crossed swords in front of his brother's torso. "Damnit! Looks like they really are going to execute Ace ahead of time!" He screamed. "ACE!"
"Oh god… Ace…" Nami whispered.
"We have to hurry!" Sanji screamed.
"We can't let them do this!" Zoro added.
The sound of consecutive explosions had Luffy looking over his shoulder. His eyes widening upon seeing what was within the newly formed dust cloud. "It's the big bear guy! I guess guys! There are so many!"
"They must be those Pacifistas that Hawkeyes was talking about." Franky grunted.
"Iva-chan looks like he's really confused." Chopper mused.
"I would be too if I suddenly saw multiple of my friend." Usopp huffed.
"Luffy, we aren't going to make it in time." Brook gasped.
Luffy growled. "Yes, we will! They are not killing my brother!"
X
Mihawk's eyes widened on the executioners. He hadn't actually expected them to actually go through with the immediate execution. He knew the plan of spreading the message by Sengoku to trick the pirates into the bay, but not that they were actually going to execute his son earlier.
The Alpha didn't care anymore as he struck at any Marine who got close to him. Running forward towards the plaza. His ears ringing. Heart beating against his chest.
This was actually happening.
And he was too far away.
Ace, I'm coming for you.
X
"Why the hell hasn't the video feed been cut yet?!" Sengoku barked.
"I dunno! It's just gone missing!" The Marine yelled.
"Find it!"
The man grinned as he heard the voices over the den den in his hand. "It's all set." He muttered. His fellow Revolutionaries were already in place. The words given to Sengoku that the video feed had been cut by the den den mushis that had been found.
They did, unfortunately, loose track of one due to Buggy getting his hands on it. The feeds had been cut temporarily, though the den den mushis were now in their hands.
He could hear Sengoku panicking over the one that Buggy had. He was distracted for now. Angered that Buggy had the video transponder.
If only Sengoku knew.
The World Government was going to crash and burn today. All on their own actions.

"Hey, Oyaji." Squard's voice had Whitebeard looking over his shoulder to see his son standing there.
"Squard, good to see that you are alive." Whitebeard stated.
Squard walked forward, going to stand next to him. "Yeah, barely."
"I was trying to reach you earlier. How are things looking at the bay head now?" The Alpha Captain questioned.
"I'm sorry to say this, but your allies have been beaten pretty badly." Squard replied. "As for me, I only managed to get out of there by sheer luck."
"Sengoku is one merciless bastard." Whitebeard drawled. "He is pulling out every dirty trick he can think of."
"Judging by your shift in tactic, I'm guessing you've picked up on the Navy's plan." His son said.
Whitebeard hummed. "I've known Sengoku and what he's capable of for a long time."
"I see."
"Little does he know, it works in our favor for them to attack us from the rear." Whitebeard continued. "I'm joining the fight. Our only chance is to keep pushing forward."
"I couldn't agree more." Squard muttered, now standing in front of Whitebeard. "You have forty-seven allied Captains willing to die for you. We are all in your debt. For now, and for always." Squard stated as he started to take his sword from its sheath. "We consider it a privilege to risk our lives for a member of our crew." He let out a battle cry as he fully pulled the sword out.
"And for that I'm grateful, but this fight is…"
"Yes, I know. This fight is to save a member of your family. The great pirate Whitebeard is a man who would do anything for his family, and your loyalty inspires loyalty. That's why everyone followed you to this hell." Squard stated. Whitebeard started to walk forward, his Observation haki going through the roof and warning him of impending danger. "I do wish things were different, but at the end of the day I'm not a part of your family."
Whitebeard looked down just in time to see Squard aiming for him. His eyes widening as he watched his son betray him.
The sound of metal clashing against metal filled his ears.
"Don't you dare touch, Eddie!"
Standing before him with her sword stopping Squard's just mere centimeters away from his torso was nonother than Portgas D. Rouge herself. Standing there in her full pirate gear, her mark on full display for the world to see. Pinkish blonde curly hair flowing in the wind. Her wine-colored eyes glaring at Squard.
"Commander Rouge!" Squard gasped.
"Room." A blue circle surrounded them. "Shambles." Squard's sword replaced with its sheath. The sword clanging on the ground next to him.
Whitebeard looked over his shoulder to see a young Omega standing next to him. A smirk on his face as he motioned his hand. A long sword sitting on his shoulder. This young man was Trafalgar Law if he remembered right. From a bounty poster showed to him by Thatch when they were talking about the Supernovas.
"I see you are still as tough as ever, Whitebeard." The familiar voice came from Whitebeard's other side. Standing to his other side was Silvers Rayleigh. The Alpha man standing there with a smirk. "I hope you don't mind if I help bring Ace home."
"Get the fuck away from, Eddie! What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Rouge screamed, shoving back Squard with her heel. Looking up at the Marines below with murderous intent in her eyes.
"It's…. Hibiscus Rouge!"
"And she's not alone!" Another Marine gasped.
"Dark Knight Silvers Rayleigh!"
"And Trafalgar Law! The Surgeon of Death! The rookie!"
Shockwaves rang out as Rouge released a wave of haki, knocking out the marines closest to them. Rouge glared at Squard again before she was lifting her head in the direction of the scaffold.
"I'M ALIVE MOTHERFUCKERS!" She screamed. "I'M GOING TO SAY THIS ONCE! ACE IS NOT MY SON AND YOU ARE NOT KILLING HIM TODAY! HANG TIGHT, FIREFLY! WE'RE COMING FOR YOU!"
X
The battlefield was in a dead silence. Ace's eyes were wide as he stared at the Moby. At first the horror filling him as he was watching Squard attack Whitebeard. That was until he had seen a flash and suddenly the powerful wave of haki that followed.
Standing protectively in front of Whitebeard was Rouge. With her was Rayleigh and Trafalgar Law. Ace recognizing him from his wanted poster.
The air caught in his throat as Rouge made eye contact with him. Yelling for him. "ROUGE!" He screamed back. His voice cracking.
"She's… alive…" Sengoku muttered, the disbelief in his voice.
"How…" Ace whispered.
"I told you, kiddo. You aren't dying today." Garp stated. "She is only one of many showing up. I'm sure of it."
As Ace looked at his grandmother, he had a new sense of fear… but also hope.
He might just get out of this.
