Ryder and the pups had loaded up the PAW Patroller and were on their way to Adventure City! Chase fidgeted with his paws, full of unease. Zuma walked up to him. "Dude, you okay?" he asked. "Ehhh," Chase responded, "Just a bit anxious, that's all." "If you say so," Zuma muttered, as he strolled away.

As Ryder pulled into the Adventure City Lookout garage, Liberty raced toward them. "Hey dawgs!" she shouted. All the pups dashed out to see her. After all the other finished greeting Liberty, she told Chase, "After asking around, this guy said they might have saw them someplace downtown." Chase nodded. "Okay," he replied. "We'll go search soon."

Once all the pups and Ryder ate a hearty lunch, they were ready to begin searching. "We'll split up into two search parties," Ryder announced. "Chase, Zuma, Skye, and Liberty will go together, and me, Marshall, Rubble, and Rocky will be one." The pups nodded in agreement, then starting searching. Ryder and his group went down one street and Chase and his team went down another. Ryder, Rocky, and Marshall began asking various people, while Rubble drooled over some pizza. Soon enough, Rocky nudged him. "Rubble!" he chuckled. Rubble snapped out of it, as Ryder and Marshall walked over. "Any luck?" Ryder inquired. "Nope," answered the dalmatian. "Nada," Rocky replied. Rubble shook his head in disagreement. "Kay," the boy sighed. "We'll just go further." He walked up, and the pups trailed behind him.

Meanwhile, Chase's band wasn't doing better. They went downtown, per Liberty's instructions. "I think that guy said they might have been somewhere around here…" she said. A hairless cat with a shiny gold collar walked out, followed by a brawny man who was holding several dog catcher poles. "Eh, whaddya we have 'ere?" he exclaimed, menacingly. They all slowly backed away. "Who was this guy you spoke to?" Skye asked. "Let's ask questions later and run now!" Liberty shouted. The pups scattered in all different directions. The cat leaped in front of Chase. Chase sneezed multiple time, allowing the man enough time to catch him. The man sneered. Skye rushed over in hopes to save Chase, but the cat blocked her. She growled at it. "Hah!" the cat taunted. The man caught Skye, as well. Him and the cat cornered the remaining to pups: Zuma and Liberty. Zuma's was agile, but the cat was more. Liberty attempted to slip by, but the man withdrew a pocket knife and cut off her collar. Due to her fear, she almost immediately curled up into a ball. A couple minutes later, Chase's gang was being thrown into the back of the wicked duo's van.
