They Don't Know About Us
Author's Note: Hey everyone and welcome back to They Don't Know About Us! I am so happy you guys are enjoying this and thank you so much for your comments and kudos! So, nothing about Marineford is even close to canon anymore.
I am happy to announce I'm doing a side-fic of this of Ace before he left the Moby Dick/his love story with Marco. It's going to be called "Right Here, Right Now" still working out some kinks in it and it won't hop around like this one did. Mostly debating on exactly where to start it xD just that its around the time that Ace joins the Whitebeard Pirates xD
Additional Notes: So, a comment on the last chapter caught my attention (and honestly, I almost did this before I decided to scrap it for now) but I think I'm going to let you guys decide. I still technically have about two chapters in mind where they are at Marineford sooooo here we go: Ahora si Law dice que eso no afecto al feto, termino la Carrera de Sengoku. The translation being Now if Law says that it did not affect the fetus, I finish Sengoku's career. (at least that's what google told me it was, it could be wrong) So I'm going to let you guys decide cause now I'm tempted xD would you want something like that to happen? I originally thought of either doing a side story like that instead of here or a one shot in We Are (Family) but now the temptation xD Would you want the twist of Ace actually being pregnant or nah? I'll be honest, I don't know where I'm taking this fic following Marineford xD I… didn't think that far ahead xD So, I'm stalling for a moment to see what you guys think xD the temptation is there so badly xD like you have no idea.
If you're interested and have a discord, this is my personal discord (that I created literally for no reason, just cause I was bored) where you can chat, recs, get sneak peaks, etc: Personal Discord
This one is just Marco x Ace
There is literally no one in these discords xD … I was bored xD just thought I would put them here encase if someone might be interested. Fanfiction users – hmu on tumblr (phoenixtodoroki) if you are interested.

Chapter Seventeen: Devil's Choir (by Black Veil Brides)
Chapter Summary: Shanks has arrived at Marineford just in time to save his sons, dropping revelations for the world to hear. The Pacifistas try to attack the pirates again, only for Garp's trump card to come into play for all to see when Ace reacts. Meanwhile, a Marine steps forward to try and stop the fight. Only to fail. Akainu relentlessly continues after Ace, only to be stopped by yet another person. Later, an old foe shows up at Marineford and engages in a fight with Whitebeard. Akainu decides to head after Luffy and Ace disappears from the battlefield.
The entire battlefield was in a stunned silence. Not one person making a sound as they all stared at the lineup protecting Ace from the World Government. Shanks stood in the middle. Gryphon clutched tightly in his hand. Next to his right was Mihawk and Dragon. His left was Rouge and Rayleigh. Standing directly behind him was the entirety of the Red-Hair Pirates including Law and Sabo.
Ace and Luffy were still on the ground. Luffy, finally, being helped up by Zoro. Luffy staring at his parents in absolute shock. Ace was still sitting where he had fallen. Eyes just as wide as he held onto Shanks' cloak. The fabric holding his Omega father's scent, doing enough to keep him calm.
Akainu was seething where he stood, staring directly at Shanks with a sharp glare. No one had moved a muscle or an inch. Shanks – who despised fighting with a passion if he didn't have too – challenged the World Government. Eyes cold as he stared at his son's would-be executioner. "I hate to say this, but Admiral Akainu, this is where you fall." Shanks stated, a growl leaving his throat.
Akainu smirked. "You're just a punk. I would like to see you try."
"Is that supposed to be a challenge?" Shanks retorted. "I'm not the only one who wants to see you pay for what you've done."
Akainu cackled, an almost amused look coming to his face. "You and the rest of these scum?"
The Omega Captain smirked. "No, actually," He paused. Ace watched him for a moment. Thinking back to what Shanks had said before. He had seen the entire war when supposedly the den den mushis had been cut off. Ace's eyes widened as his jaw dropped open. Shanks wasn't talking about the pirates. "I'm talking about the entire world. Everyone saw what the Marines did today."
Akainu growled, his magma slipping off of his arm and falling to the ground. The sizzling that followed made a tingle go up Ace's spine. "You're bluffing. The den den mushis are off."
Sabo and Dragon both chuckled, gaining the Admiral's attention. "Yeah, about that... The Revolutionary Army kind of stole them. The world saw everything. Sorry about that." Sabo stated, the smug grin coming to his face as the whispers broke out among the Marines. "We figured you would attempt to try and one up the Whitebeard Pirates, so we just made sure to show the world how the Marines truly handle things."
"The entire world saw you attempt to execute Ace early on multiple occasions. They saw you trap the Whitebeard Pirates in the bay before raining lava on them. They saw Mihawk tell you all that Ace is his son. They saw everything." Shanks added. "Don't believe me? Call your Marine buddies at Sabaody. I'm sure they have their hands full right now with the people there."
Sengoku had seemed to take Shanks' words into account as a Marine had taken off within seconds after the Fleet Admiral had whispered to him. Ace finally made it back up to his feet, stumbling slightly from how weak his body still felt. His gaze moving over temporarily to where Whitebeard was standing. His Captain walking over to stand behind his men.
Ace turned his attention back to Shanks, watching the smile that he knew all to well. It was the smile that Shanks wore when he knew something and just wasn't saying. "You're just a low life pirate who sums up to nothing. Why would I ever believe you?"
"Rather you believe me or not, it's the truth. Frankly, it's the Marines who lie more than a pirate. Maybe you guys want to tell the world that you never captured Captain Roger or his entire crew. He turned himself in. Or, maybe, the Baterilla incident where Marines ruthlessly murdered mothers, children, and unborn pups alike just based off of a false rumor of the Captain siring a child who doesn't exist." Shanks replied. "Now, Akainu, let me tell you a little story." The red-haired Omega sheathed Gryphon, stepping forward until he was a few steps away from the others. "Over twenty years ago, at just sixteen, I found out I was pregnant. I went to my mother." With a shrug of his shoulder, he motioned over to Rouge, "I was just a kid who was just starting out as a rookie Captain and didn't know any better. It was my mother's idea to go to our home on Baterilla. Where I stayed until finally, I gave birth to my pup. It wasn't an easy pregnancy at all. I was sick all the time, fainting, anything you could probably think of… it happened. During labor, I had a placental abruption which ended up causing me to almost bleed to death." Shanks gave a fond smile as he looked over his shoulder slightly to look at Ace before looking back to Akainu. "That pup was Ace… and Ace's father… Mihawk. The only person who could be. If I could go back, I would do it all over again. It gave me the greatest gift I could have ever of gotten. My son. Two years later, I found out I was pregnant again. This time with Luffy. I can tell you one thing… you don't mess with a mother's pups or you'll pay for it."
Akainu smirked, walking forward until he was standing directly in front of Shanks. "Well, maybe while I'm at it, I'll put you in the ground, right with your good for nothing pups." The Admiral pulled his arm back ready to attack. Ace felt his heart stop as he watched Shanks. Shanks didn't move in the slightest. Didn't even flinch.
"Fleet Admiral, sir!" The Marine who had ran off, came rushing back and was now standing in front of Sengoku, pulling everyone's attention to them. "Red-Hair is right. Marines all over the world are dealing with rioters demanding the execution be stopped. They had seen the entire war, sir."
Sengoku growled, looking to Dragon. "Curse you."
Dragon just replied with a smirk as Sabo chuckled, clutching onto his metal pipe. "I say, you want to try and get to my brothers, you have to go through me first. I have no problem beating the shit out of any of you."
Akainu looked between Sabo and Shanks. "You just said you only have two children."
"I do only have two." Shanks replied.
Sabo was chuckling as he stepped forward, twirling the pipe in his fingers. "I never said I was biologically related to them. I'm Dragon-san's son."
"Wait, what?!" The exclamation followed quickly behind. Muttering coming from all sides.
"Since when?" Rouge turned her head to look at her brother.
Dragon gave her a side glance with a shrug. "Since, ten years ago." The Revolutionary stated. "Not biologically of course, but my son none the less."
"Akainu, I would presume that you are a smart man and would know about things such as bonds." Sabo drawled. "Me and my brothers created a bond over ten years ago and have been brothers ever since. Shanks and Mihawk basically adopted me around that time, but when I lost my memories, I was adopted by Dragon-san. It can get confusing, but we are just going to ignore that part."
"Everything about this war is confusing." A Marine muttered.
"Do you want to try your luck with all of us?" Rouge questioned, placing her sword on her shoulder as she placed her free hand on her hip. "You really want to know where you messed up the most? The second you said Roger and me were Ace's parents. My son is Shanks, though his father isn't relevant here."
"I'm just here cause I'm their uncle." Rayleigh added, gaining a chuckle from Rouge.
"I am their Uncle, and Luffy isn't my son. Just as my nephew has told you." Dragon also added.
"What kind of family dynamic is all of this?!" A Marine exclaimed.
"Trust me, it's confusing." Rouge replied. "Best just to know that Shanks and Mihawk are Ace and Luffy's parents. That's what's important here."
Silence had fallen once more. No one could move or blink. Ace felt the chill run down his spine as he heard the drawl of, "Marco the Phoenix."
"Damnit, not these guys again!" Luffy huffed, still being supported in his standing position. Hand on his ribs. "I thought they were already dealt with."
"Lucky for you, Luffy. They won't attack you." Sanji stated.
"The rest of us need to get away. Let's go." Zoro stated, starting to pull Luffy away from the scene.
Ace turned his head to see the Pacifistas descending on them. His heart beating in his chest as he recalled what had transpired with these monsters throughout the battlefield. Marco was hunched over on the ground, hand over his torso where blood was coming from one of his wounds. Breathing heavily. Ace couldn't hear anything but the heartbeat in his ears as he saw the Pacifista's hand light up, ready to attack Marco. Thatch was already over by him, trying to get him out of the way. Thatch stumbling on his own feet as the two managed to stand up. The pirates had scattered as the Pacifistas continued on them.
Ace's feet carried him all on their own. He could hear the shouts from his nakama as he ran forward. Getting to Marco, he threw himself between the two. Something about Sanji's words stuck out to him.
"Ace!" His name was collectively screamed by the others.
He heard Marco wince, trying to force himself towards him, with a shout of, "Get out of the way!"
Ace closed his eyes from the sheer brightness in his eyes, black dots dancing on his vision. He held a bated breath as he heard, "Portgas D. Ace, son of Warlord Dracule Mihawk. Ceasing attack." The Pacifista stated just before the light started to dim before it was gone completely.
Ace blinked, looking at the Pacifista as he stood between it and his nakama. The same thing must have happened to Luffy on the battlefield for Sanji to know this.
"It didn't attack, Fire Fist?" A Marine questioned.
"It said he was the son of Mihawk… just like Mihawk and the pirates were saying. Did the Fleet Admiral really lie?" Another Marine added. Quite muttering followed by others as heads turned to look at Sengoku.
"It appears so. The Pacifistas are programmed not to attack the Warlords or anyone under their protection." A Vice Admiral stated.
"How would the Pacifista know and not the Fleet Admiral?"
"That's because the Pacifistas are programmed to also be able to recognize blood signatures and bonds." Garp's voice cut through, coming through the crowd of Marines. All eyes turning to him. "With the Warlord position, all the nakama of a Warlord are granted pardons and frozen bounties just like their Captain. Additionally, if a Warlord takes a mate and has children. They also fall under this category." The Vice Admiral explained, hands in his pockets as he walked forward.
"Wait… doesn't that mean that Fire Fist…"
"Portgas D. Ace is protected by the World Government from the second Hawkeyes agreed to be a Warlord." Garp confirmed. "Ace cannot be executed, nor can a Marine lay a hand on him. The same goes for Strawhat Luffy and Red-Haired Shanks."
Stunned silence followed.
"You mean… all of this…"
"Oh God, this war should have never happened."
Akainu's gaze narrowed on Shanks, an almost calculating look as the Admiral stared down the Omega in front of him. "If your Hibiscus Rouge's son, that means… I need to eliminate you." The Alpha growled, seemly ignoring everything that was being said around him, pulling his fist back once more to aim it at Shanks. The Omega had already moved to unsheathe Gryphon once more.
Ace and Luffy both screamed out for Shanks. The fear coursing through Ace once again as his fingers curled in the black fabric around him.
"YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!" The new voice caused Akainu to stop in his place. Gryphon already unsheathed and ready.
"Huh?" Akainu made the verbal noise as even Shanks looked down slightly. The new person standing directly between the two.
"A Marine?" Marco muttered, disbelief laced in his voice.
Ace blinked as he looked at the person. His jacket having the Marine insignia on the back. Shaggy pink hair and a lean body. Distressed pheromones lingering in the air as he had his arms open wide. Blocking Akainu's path from Shanks. Ace noticed quickly that the Marine's back was to Shanks. He wasn't blocking Shanks from Akainu. He was blocking Akainu from Shanks.
"Coby…" Luffy whispered, his eyes widening.
Coby's entire body was shaking as he stood there, head hung as he addressed the Admiral in front of him. From what Ace could tell and the small noises Coby made, he was crying. "There's no point in fighting anymore! There's no point in killing! It's over! We can end this!"
"What is he doing?" Another soldier muttered, disbelief on the faces of all the Marines close by. Even Garp looked genuinely surprised by Coby's outburst. Ace, on the other hand, feared for Coby. Akainu was a man who believed in Absolute Justice, and that meant taking down anyone who would step in the way. This wasn't going to end well.
"These are human lives! This is wrong! They have families! Children! They are our friends and we are watching them die! We can't lay a hand on Ace! What are we trying to prove!? What's the point?! There are wounded men out there! We can save them if we stop fighting! But… no! We are making more victims! More causalities! Those Marines have nothing to be proud of! We are they dying?! WHAT ARE THEY EVEN FIGHTING FOR!"
Akainu was glaring down at the young Marine before him. His eyes narrowing as he let out a low growl. "Boy, you better… run." Akainu stated. "If you would impede justice. I don't have any use for you anymore!"
"Impede justice?! This isn't justice! We can't do anything to Ace! Mihawk is a Warlord, and Ace is his son! We can't! Ace technically has no bounty! Pardoned for all crimes!" Coby fought back, his voice raising more as the tears ran down his face. "The Pacifista proved it! Let's end this while we have the chance!"
Ace could feel Akainu's rage from where he was standing. This wasn't the end of it. The Omega was positive about that. Sure enough, Akainu was pulling back his magma fist and aiming directly for Coby.
"COBY!" Helmeppo screamed out.
It happened within the time it took Ace to blink. Akainu's fist was once again stopped by Shanks, just like he had done for Ace moments ago. Shanks' own rage was seeping out of him, lingering over the nearby pirates and Marines as Coby fell backwards. His back hitting the ground. "Splendid speech. Touched my heart. Though they were few, those precious moments of courage will change this world. Though, only the future will tell if it's for the better or for the worse." The red-haired Captain stated, once again pushing Akainu away from them. The power of his haki slash Akainu across the chest. The Alpha stumbling backwards as he kept his balance. Blood dripping from the wound on his chest. The Admiral gripped at his chest as he took a few breaths before looking back at Shanks.
"I can care less about the Warlords. They are just as despicable as any other pirate. As I said, I will allow the others to escape in exchange for Fire Fist and Straw Hat." Akainu said. Instantly, everyone was back in a fighting position.
Ace's eyes widened as by the next time he blinked Akainu was once again standing before him. The heat radiating off of the Admiral as he went to strike Ace down once more. "ACE!" The Omega subconsciously lit himself on fire, stumbling as he fell to his knees breathing heavily.
The Omega froze as sand cut through Akainu before more was swirling around him and placing him back into the safety of the circle created by the Red-Hair Pirates. In his place was Crocodile. The Alpha standing there with a bored expression on his face, though his eyes were sharp with a glare. "Didn't you pay attention to anything that was just said, you bastard." Crocodile drawled. "Fire Fist has been proven to be someone else's child, and yet you still attack him? The only thing I can sum that down to is fear. You fear him. Hawkeyes has been a Warlord a lot longer than that boy has been alive." The former Warlord paused. "You and the rest of the Marine scum will stop at nothing, will you? Going by the mandates of the Warlords, Fire Fist and Straw Hat are legally government sanctioned with no bounties." He turned his attention towards Shanks, "Say, when did Hawkeyes give you that bond mark?" Ace looked at Shanks for a moment. With Shanks' cloak, it hid his bond mark underneath the cloth. Without it, it was in the open. Mihawk was the same. His jacket's collar settled perfectly over where his bond mark from Shanks was and only when his jacket was off you would see it. It wasn't surprising that Crocodile – or anyone for that matter – would see the mark that Shanks treasured.
Shanks looked puzzled for a split second, both him and Mihawk having moved towards where Akainu was now standing. "When I was sixteen."
Crocodile smirked, turning back to Akainu. "That would mean that Red-Hair's over four billion berrie bounty doesn't exist. At most a frozen bounty of whatever it was when he was sixteen. Fire Fist's bounty doesn't exist, and neither does Straw Hat's. You're really just burying your own grave at this point."
"Or we can just revoke his Warlord status." Akainu replied.
"And piss off the entire world more?" Crocodile shot back.
Ace watched as Akainu clutched his fist before he promptly huffed and took a step back. Sengoku walked forward, now out of his Buddha state and back to being his regular size. "Seems like we have a bit of an issue."
"Looks like we do." Shanks replied.
Sengoku leveled a look on the red-haired Omega. "You know I can't just let them leave."
"Yes, you can. You can call for a cease fire on your side. I'm sure Whitebeard-san would have no objects to also calling one." Shanks replied. The Omega turned, facing Whitebeard this time. "I heard what you said, and while it's admirable, your sons and daughters need you. Go home with them. They will need you now more than ever." He paused, turning back towards the Marines. "Like I said, if any of you still hunger for a fight, come get us, we'll be happy to face you."
"Commanders. Strawhats. Get them to safety." Mihawk added, looking over his shoulder to the pirates standing behind him. "We've got this. You all have done enough."
Hands were grabbing Ace, hauling him off of the ground and starting towards the bay before he could even fight it. Luffy was being dragged along by Zoro. Ace fought against the hold of whoever was holding onto him, trying to get back over to where Shanks and Mihawk were.
"Mom! Papa! No!" He screamed, being all but thrown over Thatch's shoulder and being forcibly carried away. Shanks looked back over his shoulder at him. His eyes glowing golden as Ace felt his body forcing itself to relax. "That's so not fair, mom!" He called back. Shanks just smirked at him, turning his attention back towards the Marines.
"Luffy's injuries are bad. We need to get him out of here as soon as possible." Chopper stated.
"I hate to say it, but Straw Hat needs serious medical attention, possibly even surgery if he isn't out of here immediately." Law said. "Jean Bart, Shachi. Take them back to our ship. They can use our medical equipment and supplies for any of their injured. With my alliance with Whitebeard, it's the least I can do for him."
For the first time, Ace looked over to Luffy and took a good look at him. Luffy looked absolutely terrible. His normally tanned skin was completely pale. He looked thinner than he normally was. The bags under his eyes were dark. His entire body shook. He just looked god awful.
"Hey, look! What the hell is that?!" A Marine suddenly exclaimed, causing everyone to stop in their places. Ace's eyes followed the Marine, looking over to behind the destroyed buildings to see a large something, no someone, hiding behind the wreckage.
"It's huge!" Another Marine exclaimed. "Whatever it is can't be good?!"
"I dunno, I feel like I would rather verse that thing than take on Red-Haired Shanks and Dracule Mihawk." One Marine said.
"Or Hibiscus Rouge, Dark Knight Rayleigh, and the Revolutionary Dragon." Another added immediately after.
"Oops. They found me." The Giant said, his voice low as if he were trying to whisper.
"There's someone else too!" The same Marine who had caught their attention was now pointing the the scaffold. "There's a whole group of people up on the scaffold!"
Ace felt his blood run cold as he heard the voice that followed. "You fellas ain't very observant, are you?" A low growl left him as he managed to wiggle his way from Thatch. Landing on his feet and dashing back towards where they had just came from.
"Seriously?! What the fuck, Ace! Let's just get out of here!" Thatch exclaimed. From what Ace could tell, Thatch was following after him.
"Blackbeard." Sengoku growled, his attention also on the scaffold. "Seems you made some new friends."
Taking a good look, Teach's crew was bigger than it had been before. He recognized a few of the men as some who were in Impel Down on the same floor as him. It was hard to see into each other's cells but when he was being taken to and from his cell, he had seen these men.
"I thought they were locked up in Impel Down!" A Marine exclaimed.
Ace could feel the anger radiating off of Whitebeard, the feral sound leaving his Captain. "Teach." Which had Teach chuckling.
"They were supposed to be erased from history after the crimes they've committed. Even a death sentence was too great of a mercy." Came from a Marine. The Marines started to list off all of the former Level Six prisoners that Teach had with him as Ace ran forward, lighting his arm on fire.
"I still feel like versing them is better than what stands behind us!" The same Marine from before shouted.
"I'm glad I could make it to your funeral, Oyaji. Did you miss me?" Teach mused, cackling followed.
"You fat bastard." Whitebeard growled, gaining even more cackling from Teach.
"FIRE FIST!" He screamed, shooting the flames directly at his former subordinate. All the anger flaring through him as his eyes settled on the man who had turned him over in the first place. The man who had stabbed Thatch and ran off. The coward. The same person who scarred Shanks. The person who threatened to kill Luffy. His anger was bubbling over. His eyes stinging, his teeth starting to sharpen on his canines, and his nails extending. The extra surge of power that ran through him behind his flames.
"ACE, NO!" Shanks yelled.
He could hear another set of foot falls coming after him, but he couldn't tell who it was through his anger.
Thatch came up behind him, arms wrapping around his waist and trying to haul Ace away as the Omega fought his grip. "Let me go! I need to make that son of a bitch pay!" His hands moving to try and rip Thatch's arm off of him.
"Don't make the same mistake twice! He already defeated you once! He turned you in! Well, that was before we found out that technically, that can't happen but still!" Thatch yelled. For a moment, Teach looked genuinely shocked to see Thatch standing there. "Don't do this! Just get out of here!"
His attack hit, landing square in Teach's belly as the Blackbeard Captain started screaming in pain. His darkness seeping out and swallowing up the flames. "I won't make that mistake again. I know what his powers are." Ace hissed.
"Ah, Commander Ace! How was your stay in Impel Down?" Teach questioned, laughing more as Ace growled. "Bet those guards had a bit of fun with yuh. My new friends here told me all about it."
He went to step forward, hand on fire again, only to have his path blocked by Mihawk and Shanks. His parents standing between him and Teach. "Ace, you need to stay back. I know you want revenge but now is not the time." Mihawk stated, his arms crossed over his chest as he glared over at Teach. "You are still weak from the constant sea prism stone. You need to rest before you get involved in any more conflict."
Ace made a tsking sound as he looked away, allowing Thatch to pull him away but stopped as he heard, "Pretty as a picture, hey Red-Hair? Those scars are a nice touch." Ace had watched the way his Omega father's entire demeanor changed. The way that Mihawk's hand tightened on Yoru.
"Say, you wanna try your luck, Teach… oh my bad… Blackbeard." Shanks hissed.
Teach chuckled. "I came here for the old man, I don't want to try and fight you if I can help it." The Alpha stated.
"You're going to have to go through us, Teach if you want to go anywhere near Eddie." Rouge exclaimed, her face getting redder by the second. The only reason it looked like to Ace that she hadn't rushed forward was the fact that Dragon was blocking her path.
Ace could only keep his eyes ahead of him, even as he started to get pulled away by Thatch. A sinking feeling in the pit of the Omega's stomach. His eyes were settled on Teach, something about his words and the way he said them didn't set right. "I will admit, I'm surprised that the Marines didn't figure any of you out." Teach started. "I knew the minute that Ace's bounty poster came out that he was Red-Hair's brat." This had all of the pirates stopping in their place. "Once he confirmed Commander Rouge was his grandmother, I put all of the pieces into place." Rouge growled, her hand tightening on her own sword. "All of you were a bunch of fools for not realizing it on your own. The second that I put those lovely scars on Red-Hair's pretty little face, Rouge's reaction was enough to tell me that Red-Hair was her son. Hawkeyes wasn't hard to figure out. He came to warn his dear pup about me. How blind are you not to realize it?" Teach started laughing. "It's almost ironic how the most prominent figures on all the seas could hide their very own pups right in plan sight, and not one person figured it out. I'm going to hit you where it hurts." Teach lifted his hand, Ace's eyes widening as he saw the familiar black on his palm before suddenly Shanks' feet were lifted off of the ground. His hold on Gryphon loosening until Teach's Black Vortex had carried Shanks over to him. "Maybe I'll keep that promise I made to you all those years ago."
"RED-HAIR!"
"SHANKS!"
"MOM!"

The people of Sabaody were furious. The entire display from the Marines against the Whitebeard Pirates. Caging them off in the bay. The multiple immediate execution orders. Their heads were reeling from all the information being thrown at them. The Marines and World Government in a new light to them.
"I think I'm beginning to understand why a lot of people turn out to be pirates or Revolutionaries." One man whispered.
"This is really big news!" A reporter exclaimed. "Fire Fist is the son of a Warlord and one of the four yonkos! Hibiscus Rouge and the Revolutionary Dragon are the children of the Marine Hero Garp. This is some family."
"A powerful one too." A woman said. "They were all willing to take on the World Government just for one person. That includes all of the pirates involved."
"There's more loyalty in the pirates! Admiral Akainu tried to kill his own subordinate just for speaking out against this war!" One woman raved. "What Marine who stands for justice would just try to kill another Marine like that?!"
"And they are still trying to kill that boy! They went after his brother knowing he would react to it!"
"It would be better if the Marines just licked their wounds, and let the pirates go just to save face. It's really the only thing that could be done." Another man added. "This entire war should have never happened. The Fleet Admiral came up with a bullshit lie to lure out the Whitebeard Pirates even though they knew that he is pardoned."
"Have the Marines really lied about so much?! First Fire Fist, but now with the Pirate King and Baterilla! What's next?!"
The rioting only seemed to pick up from there, as people started to crowd around the Marines stationed there more. The demands for the war to stop continuing.

Shanks felt the air catch in his throat the second that Teach had raised his hand. A smirk coming to his face as his feet were lifted off of the ground. He didn't put it past Teach to go after them first. Take out the ones protecting your target first. It was only reasonable.
Teach's hand was around his neck before he could even blink, but the Omega Captain didn't waver. Instead, smirking down at Teach. "What promise?" He muttered. Teach's free hand had moved up, practically caressing the scars along his eye. Shanks let out the mixture of a whine and a growl, virtually snarling at Teach.
Teach let a smirk come to his face before he was cackling again. "I am a pirate; it's only fitting that I take what I want. I almost had both of you. Watch the world see one of its yonko's turn into someone's bitch."
"I'm not the same kid I was back then." Shanks replied, "Why don't I give you a mark to match?" He watched Teach's face warp from the cocky and smug smirk he had to a look of confusion just for a moment before he allowed Kogatana to slip out of the sleeve of his shirt. Teach's crew barely had time to react before Shanks was plunging the knife straight into Teach's left eye socket. Teach let out a howl as he dropped his hold on Shanks. The Omega landing on his feet as he pulled Kogatana back to him. "You're my bitch now." Shanks said before he was kicking Teach off of the scaffold towards where Whitebeard was. His haki covered foot hitting Teach directly in the skull. "I'll let Whitebeard-san take care of you. You were his nakama after all." The Omega turned his attention away from where Teach crashed into the ground, turning his head to face the men behind him. Another smirk on his face as he turned, placing his hand on his hip. Letting his power surge as he sent out a blast of Conqueror's Haki, knocking each of them out. "I almost feel sorry for you."
He merely turned on his heel, jumping down from the scaffold and calmly walking back over to the other pirates. All of them staring at him shock. "I've… never seen you like that before Red-Hair." Marco stated, his eyes wide as he stared at Shanks' blood-soaked hand. Shanks handed Kogatana back over to Mihawk, the Alpha placing the knife back where it belonged.
Shanks reached down grabbing Gryphon and sheathing the sword back into place. "Let's just say, I've had enough." The Omega Captain replied. "I'll leave Teach to the Whitebeard Pirates. He was your nakama originally after all. I'm not the one he's wronged. He wronged the Whitebeard Pirates, even as much as I want to take his head for what he did to Ace."
"So, that's why you came to us first when you asked Oyaji to bring Ace home." Izou stated.
"Yeah. Ace might be my son, but he is a Whitebeard Commander. It was not my place, especially if Whitebeard-san had made the order for him to go." Shanks replied. "I still had every intention of finding Ace either way. No matter what answer Whitebeard-san gave."
"That's… noble." Thatch whispered, still hanging onto Ace.
Shanks turned his attention fully to Ace. "You should get out of here. I'm not going to put it past Sengoku to still order for them to continue after you. Akainu isn't going to drop it either. So, get going. Get to any ship. It doesn't even matter which one. Just walk away. You've done everything you can here."
Ace made a tsking sound. His bangs falling over his eyes, shielding his face from Shanks' view. His entire body shaking as he balled his fists. The mixture of distress, anger, and guilt radiating from him as he reached up to grab Thatch's arm. "I can't!"
"Yes, you can, Ace!" Izou yelled.
"Let me go, Thatch." Ace growled.
"No can do." Thatch muttered.
"Ace, stop being stubborn." Mihawk said. "They are after you."
Ace made another noise as he finally lifted his head up, showing the tears that welled up in his eyes. "I can't! I can't run away! Not when Oyaji is staying behind. Not when I will be the reason we won't have our Oyaji anymore!"
Mihawk gave a soft smile, walking forward until he was placing a hand on Ace's head. "Ace, listen to me." The Alpha said, "He won't be alone, and he isn't dying here if any of them have a say about it. Your Oyaji will not die. You need to listen to your Captain's orders and leave."
"THEN I RESIGN FROM MY POSITION AS THE SECOND DIVISION COMMANDER OF THE WHITEBEARD PIRATES!" Ace screamed. A stunned silence coming from the Whitebeard Pirates. All eyes on him. "As this moment I am not a Whitebeard Pirate! I don't have to listen to a word Oyaji tells me!"
"Ace, you can't be serious?!" Deuce shouted.
"Commander Ace! C'mon, let's just get out of here! Don't do this!"
Through Thatch's own shock, Ace had managed to get out of his hold and marched forward, directly past where Shanks and Mihawk were standing. Placing himself directly next to Rouge. "Ace, turn around and go." Rouge hissed.
Ace stopped replying to them as the Whitebeard Pirates kept trying to talk him out of it. Shanks watched through the corner of his eye as Marco stumbled to his feet, walking over to stand on Ace's other side. Shanks definitely didn't miss the way that Ace almost instinctively reached out, His fingers grazing Marco's before slightly activating his flames. Marco following seconds later with his own. The fire dancing in swirls of orange, red, blue, and green. With hints of purple flickering through it before it was gone.
Shanks blinked.
When did that happen? Putting two and two together within the second.
Shanks sighed, walking over to Marco's other side as Mihawk followed him. All of them ready to move the minute Whitebeard needed them.
Why did Ace have to be so damn stubborn?
X
Whitebeard chuckled as he looked down at Teach. His former nakama writhing in pain on the ground as he covered his eye socket. The blood running down his face. "Tell me, you bastard. How does it feel to have karma finally coming back your way?" Whitebeard questioned.
"Karma? He just got lucky." Teach hissed, managing to push himself off of the ground.
"Don't expect your friends to help you. Seems like the red-haired brat took care of them for me." Whitebeard mused. "You're alone."
Teach made a noise as he stumbled to his feet, dropping his hand to reveal the damage Shanks had done to his face. Sure enough, Teach's eye was completely gone. A twisted mess within his eye socket. "Doesn't matter what that Omega bitch does. They are all the same."
Whitebeard hummed. "It isn't as if you didn't have two Omegas as your superiors before."
Teach cracked a smile, his face splitting into a twisted grin. "You were so blind, old man." The Alpha said, his hands ghosting over black. Thankfully, Shanks had told them everything he had found out about the Yami Yami no Mi. He was prepared to take Teach down without the use of his own Gura Gura no Mi. With Law's assistance before, his body had never been better. He couldn't even feel the side effects of his sickness anymore. He couldn't even feel the old age of his body. With all eyes on Shanks, he was able to take the minute to recuperate. The fatigue was still there, but fatigue was nothing compared to what his body had gone through before.
Even if he did die here, his sons would be long gone before the Marines could do anything. "I was foolish for letting you stick around for so long, but I had faith in you."
"I bet you regret that now, huh?" Teach replied, cackling again.
"You will from your grave." Whitebeard hissed.
Teach was still stumbling as the Alpha managed to keep himself on his feet. "You know, I knew that pretty red head was Commander Rouge's son from the start. I knew about Commander Ace too. It wasn't that hard to figure out. If you couldn't even figure that out, how did I even expect you to figure me out! Red-Hair sure did, but you wouldn't listen. Would you?" Teach mocked.
Whitebeard's grip on Bisento tightened. Before he could move he heard a scream of, "THEN I RESIGN FROM MY POSITION AS THE SECOND DIVISION COMMANDER OF THE WHITEBEARD PIRATES!" His blood ran cold as he looked over to see Ace joining the others in a line. Ready to fight for him.
He mentally pleaded with Ace to just turn and go.
It wasn't like he was going to accept Ace's resignation anyway. Ace was his son after all.
Teach seemed to take his moment as the black smoke was surrounding him. Whitebeard braced himself, instead of instinctively trying to his Gura Gura powers, he instead took a swipe of Bisento. Covering the blade with his haki that sliced right through the darkness.
Whitebeard took his chance, punching the air in front of him that sent Teach surging backwards in a gust of wind. Sending him directly into the buildings behind him and breaking them down. "You really wouldn't try to kill your son, now would yuh?" Teach screamed out, shaking on the ground as Whitebeard started to approach him.
"YOU ARE NO SON OF MINE!" Whitebeard hollered, pulling his fist back and slamming it into the top of Teach's head. His hand over the top of Teach's forehead, slamming the end of Bisento into the hand that Teach was trying to raise up at him for an attack. "I will avenge my sons' honor from you. I only had one rule on my ship, and you attempted to break that rule. You are a coward." The Alpha hissed as he set off his devil fruit power. The blast causing a large crater in the ground. "Do not think I didn't ever hear the way you spoke about Shanks. I'm sure you did about Ace too, and it disgusts me. I should have done this long before you attacked Thatch. You can walk over my name, but you will not harm my sons! THIS IS FOR THEM!"
He spun Bisento in his hand, coating it in haki before turning it until he was able to bring it down. The blade connecting with Teach's chest. The Alpha under him gasped sharply as the blade impaled his torso. Blood spluttering from his mouth. Whitebeard took a great sense of pleasure as he turned the blade, creating a larger hole within Teach's chest before he was pulling Bisento out.
Whitebeard stood back up, a satisfied grin on his face as he stared down at the man who had ruined his family. Sweet revenge.
The cheers coming from his sons were almost deafening as he turned to face them all. He gave them all a fond smile. He noticed quickly that both Ace and Thatch had fallen down. Tears streaming down their faces. He wanted to walk over and comfort his sons, but right now he still had the issue with the Marines. They were still after Ace. Even after Shanks and Mihawk proved that Ace was protected and was indeed not Roger's son.
This was becoming a large pain in the ass. Sengoku and Akainu couldn't get it through their thick skulls. Even GARP stepped forward and had said something. That young Marine had placed himself between Shanks and Akainu in hopes of ending the war.
The one thing he knew he could be glad of was Ace's life had been spared by Shanks' appearance. He had no doubt that Ace's life would have been ripped from them all in that split second of Akainu attacking Straw Hat. Using Ace's little brother against him.
Now, he was interested in this Sabo character. Ace never mentioned Sabo before. Though he had mentioned his tattoo was of someone special to him that had lost their life too soon. That young man must have been who Ace was talking about.
On top of the war, now he had the issue of Ace's supposed resignation from his ranks.
Marineford was certainly turning into a cluster fuck. First, Straw Hat shows up and shakes up the battlefield. Rouge reveals herself, proudly displaying her mark of his crew. Jules saved the Moby Dick. Mihawk saved Ace and revealed that he was Ace's Alpha father. Dragon and the Revolutionary Army exposed the Marines before saving Whitebeard from a surely fatal injury. Jules saved the Moby Dick. Just so much to take in within the time they had been here.
The only thing that made it all worth it, Ace was alive.
Whitebeard was going to make sure that it damn well stayed that way.
Sure enough, Whitebeard had been surrounded by Marine soldiers again. More of them going after the alliance of forces across from him.
Now, he just had to make sure his sons got out of here.
With a final look to the wheezing Teach, he started back towards his nakama.
Maybe, he would be leaving here alive.
X
Mihawk knew that look on Shanks' face. It was always a subconscious look, one that slipped on his face when his instincts were taking over. They had been swarmed again by Marines. Though most of them were weary about going near Shanks or himself.
Shanks was fighting aggressively. Something he normally didn't do. Using more power than necessary behind his attacks to send the Marines away from him and the others. Mihawk let his gaze move over the Marines, looking for the Admirals. Kizaru was busy with Benn holding a gun leveled on him. Standing there with his hands up. Aokiji had his hands full with Rouge and Rayleigh. Whitebeard, Dragon, and Sabo were taking Sengoku on head on. The Vice Admirals who were left standing had moved in on the Commanders of the Whitebeard Pirates, who had stayed back in order to allow their divisions to escape.
He paused, searching around once more.
Akainu was missing. He let his eyes go over the battlefield once more.
Ace was also gone.
The Alpha's blood ran cold. He started to scan the area with his Observation haki, trying to pick up on Ace's haki signature. He picked up on everyone's but Ace's. He tried again, contemplating that he might have overlooked an area. Cursing when he couldn't find it. The only time that he couldn't pick up Ace's haki signature was when he was asleep. Right now would be the absolute worst time to have a narcolepsy attack, but he wouldn't be surprised if it did happen. Ace probably hadn't been on his medication in weeks, on top of a messed-up sleep schedule. The amount of stress that Ace had to have been going through within the last couple of months. Two maybe since he supposedly left the Moby Dick. That was a long time to be without.
"Where's Ace?" He questioned out loud, noticing how everyone in the area froze. Even the Marines looked confused.
"Forget the Marines, sons! Spread out and find Ace!" Whitebeard ordered.
He heard a growl from Shanks as he pushed the Marine that lunged at him away before he was taking off.
X
Zoro had a bad feeling in his gut as he was dragging his Captain along. Luffy was completely out of it. Completely disoriented ever since they started to walk away. Even close to falling asleep right on Zoro's shoulder as they were being taken to the Heart Pirates' ship.
He could still hear the commotion behind him from where they were. Just peering over his shoulder, he could see Whitebeard and Blackbeard engaged in a battle. Though, it seemed like it was one-sided with Whitebeard completely having the upper hand over his former nakama.
Luffy mumbled something incoherent into his shoulder before Zoro whispered, "Hang on, Captain. We're almost there."
The rest of the Strawhats were surrounding him and Luffy. Creating a barrier around them to protect them from anyone who might want to harm their Alpha pack leader. It became clear with Akainu's second attempt at taking Ace's life that he was going to stop at nothing to kill the brothers. Even with it being proven that they were untouchable. None of them were out of the woods yet. Not until they were at Marineford or a cease fire was given.
Coby was brave for standing up against Akainu. Speaking out against his superior in hopes that his voice would reach the others to try and end the war. It didn't work in the end, but Zoro had to admit Coby has come a long way since they first met.
"Guys! We've got trouble!" Usopp suddenly screamed, dragging Zoro's attention back to in front of them.
Zoro let out a string of curses as they all came to a holt. Standing in front of them was Akainu. Arm bubbling with his magma once more. This was absolutely the last thing they needed. It seemed the battlefield was so distracted by Blackbeard's appearance that Akainu managed to slip away from the pirates.
"Not one more step. Leave Strawhat and I will let you go." Akainu drawled.
"Not a chance in hell, you flaming piece of shit!" Sanji screamed, reacting before anyone could move. Sanji was already jumping towards Akainu, ready to kick him.
"SANJI!" They all called out. Robin, Franky, and Brook attempted to stop him as they were the ones in the front of the group but were unable to catch him.
Before Sanji could connect with Akainu, he was pulled back by nonother than Luffy. The Alpha huffing against Zoro as he reeled in the Omega. "Don't. He's too powerful." Luffy muttered.
Akainu smirked. "Seems like you do have a brain cell in that head of yours."
Zoro growled, tightening his hold on Luffy. He so badly wanted to cut this guy up. He was a Logia type so his swords weren't going to do much good here. "Luffy, save your strength. You heard what that Law guy said."
"I know… but I can't let him hurt any of you. I would never forgive myself if that happened." Luffy said, his voice shaking and painfilled as he spoke. "Ace already almost lost his life to this bastard. If Ace can't even scratch him… we don't stand a chance."
"Doesn't seem like we'll get lucky and get help this time." Zoro muttered under his breath.
"It'll be okay, Zoro. We'll figure this out." Luffy said, his pheromones radiating over all of them. Trying to sooth him despite their attempts to get him out of there.
Akainu growled, throwing his arm back and aiming straight for Luffy. Zoro wasn't able to react before Luffy was pushing him away. "LUFFY!" The Alpha swordsman screamed out; eyes wide as he looked back over in time to see his Captain barely make it out of the way. A loud shout of pain came from Luffy as he stumbled to the ground. A fresh mark on his torso appearing almost like an X over the span of his upper chest.
"Don't be expecting any of your pirate buddies. They have their hands full trying to find your Omega bitch of a brother." Akainu's words caused Luffy to growl.
The anger radiating off of the Alpha in waves as he looked up, giving a sharp glare despite the pain he was in. "Don't you fucking dare call my brother that!" He screamed, wincing just as he finished speaking. "Wait… find?" He muttered closely after as soon as it dawned on him what Akainu actually said.
"By the time they find him, you'll already be dead." Akainu replied as he lifted his arm up once again and went to attack Luffy once more. Each of them moved quickly, in hopes of at least being able to do something. Robin using her powers to try and pull Luffy away.
"LUFFY!"

Ace was starting to realize just how exhausted he truly was as he fought against more of the Marines. Doing anything to help out his family and nakama, to allow them to escape.
He just hoped by the end of this they would forgive him.
He felt a sense of relief as he watched Whitebeard defeat Teach. Something he had longed for ever since he had found Thatch bleeding out. His purpose of leaving the Moby Dick was done, even if it wasn't by his own hand. Teach had been taken care of.
He pulled Shanks' cloak a little closer to himself, making sure it was secured in place. He knew he was going to get an earful about this when they finally got out of here. He absolutely couldn't leave Whitebeard behind, even if before he had been running away before he had turned around. With his family here, he could do anything. He could be stronger. He could repay Whitebeard for coming for him. It was the least he could do.
Ace forced himself to take in a few deep breaths. All of the Marines around him were down. Sabo wasn't far from where he was currently standing. They were all fighting off Marines now. The soldiers finally getting their heads out of their asses long enough to remember they were still technically in a war.
Heaving, the Omega fell down to his knees, dark spots in his eyes as he forced himself to stay conscious. This was the worst time for anything to happen now. There were still Marines surrounding them. Pirates to get out of the plaza. Himself included. Oyaji. His family. All of them. He wasn't finished yet.
He felt the air catching in his chest as he was all but lifted off of the ground and soaring through the air. Landing hard against the pavement not far from where he had been originally. He groaned as the pain shot through his back, and his eyes widened.
It was just like the Yami Yami no Mi.
Then the cackling filled his ears and the dread started to pull in his stomach.
Forcing his eyes open, Teach was looming over him. The same twisted smile on his face as the Alpha leaned down. Ace could feel his breath against his cheek as Teach kept a hand placed over his chest with his devil fruit activated, keeping Ace from using his fire. How the hell was this guy up and moving around after the blows from Whitebeard plus the stab to the eye from Shanks?
Long story short, he came to the conclusion that Teach was nothing short of a monster.
"How the hell are you not dead?!" Ace questioned.
"It'll take more than that to kill me." Teach replied, grinning like a mad man now. Ace was starting to believe that Teach actually was crazy.
Teach's blood was dripping onto his bare chest from the wounds given to him by Whitebeard. Pooling over Ace's skin as the Alpha continued to cackle, moving the hand from Ace's chest to over his face. His large hand covering his mouth and nose. His devil fruit abilities still activated, keeping Ace from using his own Mera Mera powers.
His body was already weak. He didn't need this added on top of it. Ace growled, opening his mouth and biting down on Teach's hand until he could taste blood. The Omega sucked in a deep breath as Teach howled, moving his hand from his face. Much needed oxygen filling his lungs as he rolled over and pushed himself up.
Before he could even move, Teach's hand grabbed his ankle. Pulling him back down to the ground. The Omega's face hitting the concrete. Ace groaned as he felt the blood coming from his nose. He twisted, pulled his foot back and covering it in haki. Slamming his heel right into Teach's eye wound. The Alpha letting out a shout before sending a punch at Ace. Ace barely having time to dodge before Teach had practically crawled on top of him. Ace struggled, kicking his legs and attempting to punch Teach as the Alpha started to loom over him.
Teach let out a low growl as he managed to grab his wrists and pin them down to the ground. "You are such a fucking creep." Ace hissed.
"Awe, hey now, Commander Ace, I can't help that you have a pretty face." Teach replied.
Ace growled, attempting to move his arm to hit at the Alpha but not making much head way with the maneuver. "Don't call me that, asshole."
Teach cackled, leaning down and licking a stripe across Ace's cheek as the Omega growled, jerking his head up and connecting it with Teach's nose. "I might be an asshole, but at least I'm not a breeding bitch." Ace felt the anger surge through him again as he continued to struggle against Teach. The Alpha continually using his devil fruit to keep Ace at bay. "Let me tell you a little story, I was so close once to having that beautiful little red head. Your mother has always been a feisty one, just like what I see in you. Such a pretty face that looked even better with blood all over it."
"You're sick." Ace hissed. "What kind of obsessive psycho are you?!"
"If Mihawk hadn't shown up at the bar that day, you might have ended up even being mine." Teach continued. "I had already slipped the drug into his drink by that point, and he was completely oblivious."
"You're disgusting."
Teach cackled again. "Maybe now I have a second chance. I can take both of you. A complete set."
Ace growled, wishing that he could bring his fire just so he could burn Teach's face. "As if." Ace said, bringing his leg up and hitting Teach square in the groin. The Alpha let out a hiss as Ace managed to wiggle his way out from underneath Teach and stand back up. Feeling the flare of his fire in the pit of his stomach again. Taking a few steps back, he held his hands out, muttering, "Firefly." Watching the little orbs of light float around Teach before he set them off.
Teach let out another howl of pain as Ace started to back up more. He stumbled on his feet, falling down to the ground. Landing hard on his hip. His breathing was labored as his vision danced. A mixture of blurs and black.
A fist grabbed him by his hair slamming his head against the ground hard before it was hauling him back to his feet. He was pulled back into Teach's chest. His back flushed with the Alpha's chest before he felt something pressing against his temple. His eyes widened as the world seemed to come back into focus. Hearing the normal click, he quickly realized it was a gun.
"Seriously?! Why the fuck do people keep pointing guns at my head?!" Ace muttered his under his breath. Teach pushed him forward, keeping the gun level on his forehead as he started back towards the battlefield. "You aren't making it out of this alive, bastard."
Teach was giving out a low laugh, his fist getting tighter within Ace's curls. "Even so, I can take you down with me."
"Screw you." Ace spat.
He was pushed forward again. He wanted to curse as he felt the familiar fatigue going through him and the heaviness of his eyes. This couldn't be happening. Not now. He tried to keep himself awake, but he slipped into unconsciousness before he could even finish blinking.
X
No matter how many places Mihawk looked, he couldn't find Ace. It was like Ace had completely vanished. He returned back over to the ground, seeing the fear within Shanks' eyes as his mate scanned the crowd of people. Even Marco had taken to the sky to look for him, and wasn't having any luck.
He kept his Observation haki activated, hoping to pick up on his son. Ace had been right there, how had no one seen anything? He thought of the possibility that Ace might have turned and ran, but just Ace's actions alone proved that wasn't true.
This was odd of Ace to just up and disappear. His son could easily become the center of attention without trying. Like a gravitation pull to him. He was much like Shanks when it came to his charisma and being able to interact with people. Even if at times anger got in the way.
With the hairs on the back of his neck standing up, he turned back towards where Whitebeard had faced off against Blackbeard. Only to see that Blackbeard was gone too.
"Shit." He hissed.
His voice caught Shanks' and Whitebeard's attention, both of the others turning to look where he was facing.
"How… he wasn't moving." Shanks whispered before suddenly the Omega's face was changing and realization came to it. "Oh God… he has Ace."
"It's my fault. I should have made sure he was dead." Whitebeard stated.
"C'mon." Mihawk stated, starting off in the direction where Blackbeard had originally been thought to be defeated. Getting over to the crater in the ground, the Alpha was quick to notice the trail of blood leading off towards the debris of the fallen buildings behind it. Mihawk picked up his pace as he started off in the direction of the path. Whitebeard and Shanks following closely behind him as he let out a low growl.
He had no doubt now that Blackbeard was behind Ace's sudden disappearance. Mihawk picked up his pace before breaking out into a run. The Alpha felt his blood boil upon seeing Blackbeard standing around the corner. Ace in his arms completely unconscious.
Mihawk didn't think twice before he was launching himself forward, using Yoru to split Blackbeard and Ace. Blackbeard jumped away while Mihawk caught Ace. Blackbeard was cackling as he looked at them with his one good eye.
"Teach, I swear to God if you did anything—" Shanks started but was cut short.
"He's as feisty as ever." Blackbeard replied. Shanks ran forward, Gryphon ready to attack. Blackbeard threw his arm out, catching Shanks by the arm. Wrenching his arm behind his back before slamming the Omega to the ground. "Now, now, don't make the same mistake Ace did. Emotions can really cloud someone's judgement." He drawled, using his other hand to grab Shanks' hair and wrench his head backwards. "I just need to take out Hawkeyes and the old bastard, and the two of you will be mine."
"In your dreams, Teach." Shanks growled.
Whitebeard let out an inhumane growl, coating Bisento with haki and surging his tremor powers into it at the same time before he was plunging the blade into Blackbeard's chest. "I've had enough of your sick ways, you fat fuck." Whitebeard spat. Blackbeard had still been distracted with Shanks.
Joining Bisento was Gryphon, the two weapons crossing over each other as Blackbeard froze completely. Coughing and blood splattering onto Shanks' back and neck. Shanks let out his own growl as he twisted his wrist more, turning the sword within Blackbeard's chest. Mihawk gently placed Ace on the ground, his son curling up almost in a small ball as Mihawk marched over to Blackbeard. Lifting up Yoru before he brought his arm down, hitting right next to the other two weapons.
Pulling Yoru from his back, Blackbeard slumped towards the ground. Mihawk taking delight in watching the light leave Blackbeard's eyes. Shanks made a noise as they noticed that Blackbeard had landed directly on top of him. "Get this sick fuck off of me." Shanks whined.
Whitebeard reached out, rolling Blackbeard over and off of Shanks. The Omega pushed himself off of the ground, dusting himself off before he pulled Gryphon from Blackbeard's body. "You alright, brat?" Whitebeard questioned.
"I'm alright, Papa Eddie." Shanks said. Mihawk raised his eyebrow, watching as Shanks' face turned completely red before he was sputtering apologies. He looked over to Whitebeard enough to see the stunned look on his face before it was replaced with a fond smile.
"Let's get Ace out of here. That bastard isn't getting back up." Whitebeard stated.
Mihawk didn't say anything as he walked back over to where he had put Ace, kneeling down before he was pulling Ace onto his back. His son's head leaning against his shoulder and arms around his neck. Keeping him balanced by hooking his arms under Ace's legs, he started back out.

Luffy's entire body was sore. Exhausted. He could barely move. The pain erupting from his chest from Akainu's attack. He looked up just in time to see a large, blue form in front of him holding off Akainu's lasted attempt at his life. "Jinbei…" He whispered.
"I promised your brother I would take care of you!" Jinbei announced. "I will keep my life on the line until Ace-san and Luffy have been taken to safety!" The former Warlord announced. "Now, go! I'll keep him back!"
Luffy's eyes widened, noticing that Jinbei had blocked the magma with just his hand. The sweat showing up on Jinbei's forehead as he grunted. Hands were back on Luffy's shoulders. Hauling him up and starting to pull him away.
"Jinbei…" Luffy could only mutter as his body started to weaken. Forcing himself to see this through till the end. He refused to let his eyes slip shut until this was all over. He looked over his shoulder, noticing quickly that Ace wasn't with them. "Where's Ace?"
The Strawhats paused. "I think he stayed behind."
Luffy nodded, pushing away whoever was holding him before he was forcing himself back in the direction of the battlefield despite the protests. "I'm not leaving without him."
Author's Note: I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! Hit me up with your answer below about my question from above! Should Ace end up actually being pregnant or no? I'm curious on what you guys think. Anyway, I will see you next time!
