After watching the first episode of Digimon Adventure (2020)...

YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!

(Ahem.) A few theories to express my excitement towards the reboot of one of my favourite childhood shows:

~ Base on the first episode, it's quite obvious that, one-by-one, the Digidestined will receive their Digimon partners. Either Tai and Izzy will have to find the others, or they will meet by chance.

~ Remember how hard it was for Matt and Tai to get along in the original series? Remember the time he left the Digidestined after doing something stupid? He's probably going to start as a lone wolf in the beginning, only working with Gabumon and not be part of the team. Either he's fighting for the same reason as the others, or he's fighting against them due to an evil Digimon's influence. It's probably going to take a dozen of episodes before he stops being a lone wolf and starts trusting the others not only as his teammates, but also friends.

~ To prevent an ancient prophecy from being fulfilled, an evil Digimon (hoping it's Myotismon) searched for the eight children in order to destroy them. He found TK first. Instead of destroying him, the evil Digimon used the young boy's despair towards his separated family to boost his own power. When the other Digidestined became stronger, he captures TK, so the others have to save him. TK's negative emotions are so powerful, it gave the evil Digimon's servants the power to Digivolve into more powerful dark forms.

~ TK and Kari will be the last two Digidestined who will meet their Digimon partners. Before TK gets completely lost to the darkness, Kari reaches out to him and they get their Digimons. And then cut to an episode cliffhanger where they are about to Digivolve.

And yes, the heroes must undergo tests in order to help their Digimons Digivolve stronger.

~ And, of course, there must be a Digimon Adventure 02 reboot. Let there be Dark Digidestined with evil Digimon partners, people!

Now my fellow anime lovers, let us enjoy the new reboot of one of our greatest childhood animes yet.
