Let's get some things straight:
The story will take place on the WOD (Warlords of Draenor) Draenor, because of the environments. And after 'Heart of the Swarm'.

Following the death of Arturuus Mengsk, his son- the now Emperor Valerian Mengsk- worked to reform the Terran Dominion and abolish his father's reign, with the help of James Raynor and Matt Horner. The new Dominion was a more benevolent government toward the people, same went for the Armed Forces: Now their ranks were made up of legitimate volunteers, and not pardoned criminals.
Not everyone agreed with these changes. The Kel-Morian Combine, who were vassalized by the Dominion, vied for independence. Their mining operations were crucial to the Dominion's economy, so Valerian tried to keep them a part of the Terran Dominion.
Ghost agents reported that hostile forces were based on an uncharted planet, beyond the Fringe- near the independent refugee colonies. The Dominion is readying to take out these supposed enemies, before they attack.
Dominion Cruiser Hangar, In Orbit of Korhal, 26:58 Hours
Aboard the Dominion cruiser, soldiers and crewmen of the ship were doing their duties.
Sergeant Witmore, a Dominion marine, was waiting for his new recruits for Omega Squadron. When the dropship arrived, the marines came out and stood in formation for the sergeant to inspect them. The ship's adjutant spoke over the intercom," all hands, prep for warp-jump" the squad was sent to the barracks, while the waship warped to its destination.
Orbit over unknown planet, Unknown System, 29:00 Hours
There were many uncharted planets and systems between the Koprulu Sector and Protoss Space.
As the cruiser exited warp-space, the ship's scanners showed multiple ships belonging to the Kel-Morians. The flotilla opened fire on the Dominion vessel, outnumbered and outgunned, the ship's shields couldn't hold. The crew were forced to abandon ship. Only a few made it off as the cruiser was golfed in a huge explosion.
Lifeboats, droppods, and shuttles hurried down to the planet surface, as the Vikings held off the enemy ships.
A young Terran marine, Private Michael Damson, awoke to find fellow marines dead around him, he also saw a hole in the pod and pried it open with his suit's mechanical hands.
All he saw was desert and it was dawn on this strange planet. The private took as many ammo clips, grenades, and power cells to recharge his armor as he could carry. He surveyed the area; a snowy, rocky environment, with volcanic plumes of smoke. Damson didn't know how many escaped, so he marched across the snow to find other survivors. Unknown to the terran, was that he was being followed.
Sergeant Witmore and several marines, mechanics, and officers also escaped the exploding cruiser. The captain supposedly died on the ship. If they were going to survive and escape this planet, they needed to find the others.
Hello readers, I know it has been a while since I worked on this story, just to clarify: First, in the Starcraft lore, there are more types of terran warships than just the battlecruisers, and battlecruisers were a larger class. There are two smaller types of cruisers- the regular cruiser and the light cruiser. The latter was a transport class ship. Blizzard doesn't show either of these ships in most of their media, so I thought to give them more attention.
Second, while on the topic of ships. What I've learned about the Kel-Morian Combine's military comes from older lore tabs, if you find something let me know, so I can't say what they were like under the Dominion. But I can assume that Arcturus Mengsk wouldn't allow them to be a threat. Here's what our protagonists may encounter
Ships: Pirate Capital ship, Wraith, Banshee,Gunships, Dropships
Vehicles: Goliaths, Hellions, APC's
Again, this is speculation and I might add more to make the story interesting. Leave suggestions in the reviews.
Third and finally, I rewrote this story to make it better, rather than abandon it. There are still things I left in it, like it taking place on alternate Draenor.
I'll keep working on this one, promise.
