Twixt the Woods and Sea

Twixt the woods and sea
Forever shall my heart dwell
Where mists of beauty rise at morn
Upon the silver swell

I stand here, an eternal guard
Of this harbor to the West
Weary travelers come and go
To seek their well-earned rest

I wait for one whom I still love
Though it is long since last I saw
Her smiling face above the trees
I wait for her afar

My spirit walks a lonely road
Since she is far from me
I'll bid farewell to those who leave
And with her I'll cross the sea
