Twelve Hours after crash landing
Sergeant Witmore led the group through a rocky desert trying to find other survivors , when his radio started acting up.
At first it was static, but soon he heard chattering, "we're moving on an enemy fortification, looks well defended. Requesting heavy ordnance." All the squad heard the message , one marine asked "sarge, what are they talking about?" The sergeant didn't know if it was the Kel-Morians or other survivors on the comms, the signal was coming from a set of hills nearby.
Witmore and a few marines went to investigate, a convoy of marines and goliath walkers, bearing the Kel-Morian Combine colors and sigils, came into view. The convoy was moving through the canyon, Sergeant Witmore and his men hid on the ridge above.
It seemed the Kel-Morians were moving toward a pile of rocks. On closer inspection, the rocks were actually a structure, a primitive bunker that looked crudely built. The Kel-Morian troopers took up position, "open fire!", and the walkers fired, then all hell broke loose.
The Kel-Morians were fighting what appeared to be the natives of this planet: they were large- almost as large as a man in marine armor- with a humanoid shape, and were wielding large clubs, axes, and gauss rifles (stolen from the Kel-Morian invaders).
The fighting was brutal, with both sides suffering heavy casualties, the natives ultimately won by crushing the enemy with boulders.
A marine was about to fire on the Kel-Morians, but Witmore stopped him. He didn't want his people getting involved, just to get the off planet alive, but he may not get a choice. A large group of natives snuck up behind and surrounded them. Outnumbered, the sarge chose to surrender and at least they would have a chance of getting out alive, even if it was slim.
Private Damson walked for a day and the cold made it difficult to walk, as the mechanisms were freezing up. His suit's trackers detected movement, multiple signatures moving toward him, fast.
Ga'nar, great warrior of the Forstwolf Clan and brother to Durotan, stalked the strange outsider. The clan watched balls of fire fall from the sky from the village of Wor'gol and Ga'nar, against his brother's wishes, led a group of warriors to scout the crash sites of the meteors.
At one of them, he saw a metal warrior in red walk across the snow. The hot headed Ga'nar ordered his pack to charge. "LOK'TAR OGAR '' the son of Ganaard yelled, as the wolves ran at full speed, but the stranger saw them coming and fired on them. The weapon spit metal out, the orcs had never seen it before.
Two wolves-including Ga'nar's mount- and a warrior died. Ga'nar threw one of his axes into the stranger's shoulder, which pierced the metal and sparks flew. Ga'nar and another warrior lept on the armored person and proceeded to bash the stranger to pieces.
Michael was knocked unconscious.
Blackrock outpost, Gorgrond
Orgrim Doomhammer, lieutenant to Chieftain Blackhand and hero to the Blackrock Orc Clan, walked through the halls of the post. He saw dead orcs everywhere, those that were still alive were recovering, repairing the damaged fort, or salvaging armor and weapons of their fallen foes.
He came to see several prisoners, tied and on their knees, who were captured at the battle. Doomhammer saw that they were different from the other invaders; they wore red armor and had a different scent from the others.
The Orc spoke in rough english- the Blackrock Clan had learned the language from captured Kel-Morian prisoners, as well as their origin and motive for invading even if they didn't believe or fully understand them- "who are you, why are you here", the soldiers were too shocked to respond. Annoyed, Orgrim decided to take these terrans back to the Blackrock Foundry, stronghold of the Blackrock Clan.
Here's the first- official- chapter of the story, the last one was the intro, as you may guess.
Some of you readers, and WOW players, are probably wondering : "Why does this take place on Alternate Draenor, the DLC expansion was terrible" and you're right, the story and gameplay wasn't so good. Yet the environment, lore, and design of the world was enjoyable, so I used it in other storytelling.
Also I'm looking into more lore on the Kel-Morian Combine, and I'm looking for more material. Please send me some.
