Anakin was resting once more. The room at the inn was a small one. Ahsoka and Padme sat on the chairs, not wanting to know what to think…
I do not know what to do now, Ahsoka thought. Anakin seems desperate… desperate to save Padme… his visions. They may come true. But they could be a trap... She had experience with that herself...
But nothing is solved from that. If Padme dies. And where does Anakin go from there on?
What has Anakin done? He has killed so many innocents - his Jedi friends and family... who he grew up... who I grew up with... including younglings. I never thought he could go that far... Anakin would never do that... but he has.
Anakin, a Sith Lord?
Maul was right. I had not believed him.
I won't support Anakin in his actions, but I won't turn away from him either. I won't let anyone hurt him, at any cost. I cannot. He is my brother and friend. He stood up for me. He saved me. I will defend him, from anyone.
It is my duty to see there is peace. The Jedi… lost trust of people in the war… perhaps that is why it is so easy for Palpatine to turn people away from them… but I still follow my Jedi duty. I will talk to Anakin.
Anakin holds anger and fury. I don't know how I can persuade him. Will he listen to me? I hope he trusts me. He always has in the past... we always trusted each other...
Padme's transmitter rang.
"Who is it, Padme?"
"I don't know… Maybe it is Bail. I think it's him."
"Senator Organa is with Obi-Wan. I don't think it's time for them to meet. They will only fight each other." Ahsoka said aloud.
"Padme, please listen to me." A voice came from the transmitter. "I am here to check on you. I want to see how you are. Obi-Wan is adamant on finding you and Skywalker. But I have told him it is not wise to fight and kill. I do not know how Skywalker is right now. You must know that he is dangerous… he has slain many Jedi in cold blood. You must be on your guard. I won't ever betray you. You are my friend. My priority is to you. I won't let Obi-Wan know any details that could jeopardise you… or Skywalker right now. Please revert to me."
"Do you trust Senator Organa?" Ahsoka asked Padme.
"I do. I know he'd never let anything come to me. I don't think he'd tell Obi-Wan Anakin's location. He doesn't want there to be a fight.
"I should go and speak, Ahsoka. I anyway need some fresh air outside...this room. Take care of Anakin.
"Don't provoke or upset him… Please, Ahsoka. Put us first this time. I know Anakin has done horrible things. But I'll give anything for him. He trusts you. Just for now, be there for him as a friend and sister… over this dreadful fight and bloodshed…"
"I will. I'll take care of him."
