Summary: GSR… oneshot… What are Sara and Grissom hiding? Fluff ahoy!
Hiding.
That is what Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom have been doing for the past 6 months.
Hiding.
If you asked either of them, they would not be able to pinpoint the exact moment their relationship turned into a romantic one. A romantic one they both decided to cherish for themselves before they were ready to bring it into the public eye.
Perhaps, they would agree that they started "dating" after one shift where they had a DB out in Henderson. Grissom looked at Sara as she loaded the evidence into the SUV, and casually questioned "Coffee?"
Sara slightly smiled and nodded her approval.
After they dropped the evidence in the lab, he led her to his Denali and they went for coffee.
Simple.
That is how they both lived their lives. Grissom did not spend hours trying to woo Sara. She was much too smart for that.
Instead, they spent lazy days after work at either his house or hers. Stretched out on the couch eating take out, or if Gil was in a cooking mood, some sort of wonderful breakfast treat. Sara was surprised at how well the self proclaimed bachelor could cook.
Sometimes the TV would be turned on to some documentary, sometimes they would talk about work or read and pick out the mistakes in the forensics and science journals.
Comfortable
In the bedroom, words of caring and love are exchanged in the tangle of limbs and twisted sheets.
When Sara stirred in her sleep due to horrific nightmares, Grissom just held her close, talking to her when she wanted to, rocking her slowly when she didn't.
When Grissom's migraines hit him full force, Sara was there to shut the blinds, rub his temples, and take care of him.
Hiding?
They could not really hide it anymore when a new diamond ring adorned Sara's left hand.
When they announced it to the team in the diner that "started" it all, they glanced over at each other.
They would not have to hide anymore.
