Pairings: One-sided Tomoyo/Sakura

Warnings: One-sided shoujo-ai/female and female love. Also some mentionings from my one-shot 'Rose'

Author's Note: I felt bad for only writing one small drabble of T/Sa so here's another one. Also I don't know all that much about Tomoyo (seeing as how I focus on E/Sy so sorry if it's a bit OOC (Out Of Character). Arrgh! I'm supposed to be writing a chapter fic for BluMisterie's birthday… and I ended up writing this instead. -.-; Actually I'm not sure I should post this up since this is almost quite literally hot off the presses. Oh well, mistakes are all mine.

Thorns

Your love for her was like a flower. A beautiful flower.

You remember when the seed was planted. It all began with that one eraser she gave you in the third grade.

Later on in fourth grade when you found out that she was a Cardcaptor, you kept her secret. In fact, you went a step further, designing her costumes and videotaping her to preserve the memories.

It began to germinate and grow by then.

And then along came Li Syaoran (1). Another person who could also use magic.

Another person who could relate to her. Magic-wise that is.

You didn't hate him. No, of course you couldn't, just like you couldn't hate Yukito when Sakura had a crush on him.

The flower began to grow thorns and it pricked you and it hurt, you knew it hurt, but the beauty of the flower and its sweet aroma compelled you to keep silent and to ignore the pain.

You were being just like Eriol in that respect but you vowed to never let the the flower consume you like his did.

You knew they both loved each other and so you kept trying to play the matchmaker between them.

Your plan eventually worked, and it worked well…a little too well.

When they had their wedding and you saw her smiling face, your final blessing came in the form of a single, red rose.

And if they didn't notice your pricked fingers and the dried blood on the thorns, then it was fine with you because as long as Sakura-chan was happy, you were happy too.

Even if the thorns cut a little too deep…

Owari

(1) This should be correct since in Japan they introduce themselves last name first, right?

Author's Notes: Yeah, I know it sounds a lot like Rose and is really jumbled up and messy. What do you expect, especially since I wrote this after taking a mock exam.
