She woke alone the next day, legs twisted in the sheets.
Cracking her eyes open to the rays of the morning she was met with a calming sight.
He sat on a chair by the window, sketch pad in hand, pencil in the other. He was so lost in the art that even her waking did nothing to distract him.
They both stayed like that for a while, his hand flying over the paper, whilst she admired him from her nest of blankets. It wasn't until he glanced over the pad at her that she realised she had been caught watching.
Raising his eyebrows at her he set aside the pad and pencil before stalking over to the bed.
"And what do we have here? A spy?"
Giggling, she rolled onto her back pulling her legs out of the vines of linen.
"What are you drawing? Show me?"
He smiled down at her from the end of the bed
"Now, now, Lilli. Patience is a virtue."
Throwing her head back to laugh at the ceiling
"I'm okay without having that virtue"
She side-eyed where the sketch pad laid, before lunging off the bed to grab it before him. He knew what she was thinking, off course he did. Grabbing her by the waist they both ended up a mess of limbs on the mattress. Giggling she flipped them over to pin him down.
"Aren't you supposed to be this big bad hybrid? Nobody can beat. Seems easy to me." She didn't know why but she couldn't stop giggling at him.
He just smiled up at her, with his hands pinned up above his head.
"Only for you, Love"
They both whipped their heads, at the sound of the front door slamming shut.
"I think Kol is home."
