Sena knew that revealing his identity would cause problems in the future, but he wanted to be recognized for his talents. Hiruma had initially been against the whole thing, but he knew it was Sena's decision and relented in the end.
They won the match against the Bando spiders that day and Akaba told him he had earned the title as the true Eyeshield 21. Sena had protested and said he was nothing special. Hiruma disagreed with that, Sena had something that no other runner did, and he proved it with every match.
The next day at school Sena was practically assaulted by the other sports clubs at Deimon High, all whom wanted that special talent. Hiruma pulled Sena to his side and pointed his finger at the lot of them.
"Just try and take him away from me, bastards!" Seeing the wicked smile on the blondes face, the other teams backed down and quickly dispersed. Sena blushed fiercely, Hiruma never had been very tactful.
