Anna was in the bathroom when Matt leaned against the doorframe
"Anna, you forgot our rule? putting away your toys after playing with them?"
Turning around, she had brushed her teeth: "Sorry daddy,..., I'll do it now...".
"I just did, not forget next time, come on, it's time to bed...".
"Thank you...", Anna wiped her mouth with a face towel as Matt waited for her...
Both entered her bedroom, Matt tucked her in, "What would you like to read tonight?"
"..., I'm tired...".
"You did have a lot of fun today, right?" he said running his hand through her hair.
Anna nodded happily, "... I can't wait for doing it again, Eva and Diego either, I guess...".
"Anna, what do you think about Gabby?"
"...She's nice, I mean, Gabby doesn't pretend she likes me because of you...".
Matt narrowed his eyes at her, "... I made a mistake before, ... with Sophia, sorry...".
"It's okay... I love you, daddy...".

Getting up from her bed...

"Hmmm... You and Gabby, are you two dating? We saw you kissing...".

Gabby made some tea and decided to watch TV in her bedroom... Suddenly, her phone rang..., picking up, "Hi, babe...".
"Hey, you..".
"I'm calling to let you know I enjoyed our time together,... with kids...".
"Me too... my brother texted me saying Eva and Diego loved to spend time with Anna, both were exhausted, however, they're ready to do it again...", Gabby sighed satisfied.
"... I'll send the picture I took from them...".
"Please, I'll share with my brother...".
"There is something I need to tell you... Anna saw us kissing each other...".
"Matt, I told you. What are we gonna do?" she asked apprehensively.
"... She asked me if we were dating...".
"What did you answer?"
"I asked her if she'd okay with us dating, and she said yes...".
"Are you sure? It's important for me, she feels okay with us in a relationship...".
"Look, Anna told me she likes you, believe me...".
"... I believe you... I miss you, do you know?", Gabby smiled.
Matt walked into his bedroom... "I miss you too...".
"Let's set a date?"
"How about Friday?" she asked.
"Great, Anna will stay with my sister...".
"Where are we going?" Gabby sipped her tea.

"I like surprise...", Gabby yawned.

"Wow, Gabby, what happened to you?" Cruz asked when she got out of the ambulance.
"Don't ask..." she said, a hand rested over her bruised chin, Gabby headed toward the bathroom as Shay followed her.
Severide, "What happened, Shay?" watching Gabby's face.
Shay stopped to talk to him, "... We were taking care of the patient when her husband came in... He got angry at her, then he tried to hurt her again, that's when Gabby got in the middle of them, and he beat Gabby on the chin...".
"Where was the police?"
"They came in 1 second later... I'll check Gabby...".
"Go on...", Severide replied.
"Dammit, Shay! This is going me cost an ugly bruise...".
"...Let me take a look at it...".
"My head hurts...", Gabby complained touching her chin lightly.
"I'll get something for you...", Shay left and after a few seconds, Casey entered the bathroom.
"Severide told me... show me...", Casey rested a hand on her back.
Turning around, "It hurts like hell...".
"Wow...".
"... I need to lay down, my head is killing me...".
"Maybe, you should go home", Gabby interjected.
"No, I'll be fine... I want to be here...".
"Okay...", Matt pulled her into his arms.
"Your hugs are the best...", she said resting her head against his chest.
"I'll take care of you,... What happened to the guy?"
"They arrested him...", Gabby closed her eyes.
"Good... come with me...".
Matt led her to his office...
"Hey, take these...", Shay gave her some water and medicine.
"She is going to be in my office...".
Shay nodded, "Call me if you need anything...".
"Come on,...".
"It's better if I rest on my bed...".
Although, Matt's expression told her otherwise.
Minutes later... they were lying on Matt's bed, "Thank you for being here...".
"... Everything is gonna be okay...", Matt rubbed her back.
