CHAPTER 26

Medical School is scheduled to start next year, Gabby had only two months to think about it. Before going back to Casey's house she took time to throw out rotten food that was in the refrigerator and organize her place.

She had decided to not talk to Casey yet about Florida, it wasn't the best day for that, since they would take Anna to the Navy Pier, Gabby didn't feel right ruining their time together discussing something she didn't even know if it would happen. Casey and Anna had her heart, Anna was like a daughter to her, leaving her family didn't seem right and worth it, she thought.

When she walked into Casey's house and closed the door, right away Gabby went upstairs... Opening Casey's bedroom door slightly, she saw him sleeping peacefully, shirtless as he liked, wearing only his underwear, as Gabby liked. They had a swamped shift, she could imagine he may be tired. In the view of joining him in the bed, she put a load of laundry in the washer, then she went to the kitchen to sort of the food they had to prepare lunch later.

Gabby put on some comfortable clothes, she was having a hard time pondering what the college letter could mean to her future, to distract herself she decided to do a few chores around the house... Starting in the living room, she ended up in Anna's bedroom, where she organized her wardrobe while putting away some clothes to give away if Anna agreed to that...

Gabby has been watching some TV while eating a snack...; upstairs, Casey was waking up from his slumber... After a few seconds he realized that Gabby wasn't sleeping by his side, he knew she was going to her apartment. Getting up he moved towards the hallway...

"Damn it," Gabby had dropped a glass of water on the floor, kneeling she gathered some of the broken pieces... Soon Gabby heard footsteps behind her, looking back over her shoulder...

"Sorry…," she said.

"Don't worry, I was awake," he spoke fully dressed. "Let me do it, I don't want you to get hurt. Could you pick up a broom for me, babe?"

"Thanks, babe," she kissed him on the cheek. In minutes Matt had the floor cleaned up. Gabby returned from the bathroom and found Matt on the couch, immediately he pulled her to sit on his lap. Wrapping his arms around her, their lips were a few inches apart from each other...

"Why were you here? You might be tired as much as me," he told her.

"I needed to get some of our clothes washed... Anna's wardrobe needed some attention as well...," she said.

"We could it together... later, you know...," he uttered as looking her in the eyes.

"I know...," she looked away as trying to think of a good excuse because they always do the chores together.

"What is it?" he asked confused.

"I wanted to do it for you and Anna...," she stared at him this time. He wasn't buying her answer but decided not to insist on it...

"Okay, so... thank you," he kissed her lips.

"Have you told Anna we are going to Navy Pier today?" Gabby asked.

"Not yet, I want to surprise her."

"She deserves it, she doing great at school, one of the best students in the class, her teacher told me," Gabby said smiling. "I'm proud of her." Casey loved when Gabby said things like that., he felt like the luckiest man in the world.

"I am too," he smiled "Come here," he said pulling Gabby closer.

Gabby straddled his hips... "Better?"

Casey rested his hands on her rips while she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Much better," he said kissing her. "I... I..." he said between kisses, "...think... you haven't been... a good student," he laid her on the couch.

"You think?" Gabby chuckled.

"Yeah...," he kissed her neck, "... you will be punished," kissed her shoulders.

"What kind of punishment?" Gabby sighed heavily...

Matt stopped his move and whispered something in her ear... "It's a good one, right?" he licked his lips.

Gabby shivered as looking at his sexy look. "Hmmm I don't know," she said seriously, making Casey a little upset.

"Are you tired?" He wanted nothing more than to take her to the bedroom and make love to her, but not when she wasn't in the mood or was tired...

"I'm ..." she continued.

"All right," he said little disappointed, but he understood her.

"So to save both of us the energy, it's better to do what you suggested right here," she said with a huge smile on her face.

"Were you messing with me?" he snickered.

"A little... you are so cute pouting," she pulled him closer, they kissed each other for long minutes... a half-hour later they continued their making-out session in the bedroom...

"I love you," he declared as making love to her.

"I never get tired of hearing you saying it," she said rubbing her nose with his.

"You're amazing, amazing...," once again Matt professed how much he adored her...

Hours later...

"Where are we going?" Anna asked putting on her coat.

"It's a surprise," Casey said grabbing his car keys.

"But I don't like surprises," she said pouting.

"Then we'll have to stay at home. What do you think? "Casey said looking at Gabby. "Or better I think I will go with Gabby, and I leave you with your aunt."

"No, please. I want to go with you guys. Gabby..." Anna said sadly.

"Oh Anna, don't worry...," Gabby said smacking Casey on his arm as giving him a stern look, turning to Anna, Gabby knelled before her... "I like your company better...", they smiled at each other.

Matt gasped hearing Gabby, after all his joke didn't have the effect he was waiting for...

"Sorry, I'd never leave you behind….," Casey approached his girls and kissed both. "I love you, all right," he said looking at Anna

"I love you too, daddy. Love you both...," she said looking at Gabby.

"I love you too, we love you, always...," Gabby hugged her. "No matter what happens," she added. Her statement didn't go unnoticed by Casey.

"You are ready to go?" Casey asked.

"Yes," Anna answered as lifting her arms in his direction..., he gladly received her in his arms while Gabby locked the house.

Anna loved the surprise and was spoiled by Casey and Gabby from whose she won a few gifts. Although it would be nice to ask Gabby to live with them during a romantic dinner, Casey thought their day at Navy Pier seemed more special... They were together as a family, so while Anna was having fun with other kids a few meters from them...

"I was thinking... and you have to know I've checked in with Anna..." Gabby looked at him and then returned her gaze at the kids playing. "Gabby... Anna and I want you to live with us..."
