Jasper saves Bella from Jakob
Jake walks me to the door and then he grabs my arm and stops me.
"Bella… I need you to know there are choices. You don't need to be with the leech. I love you, Bella." He says and moves closer and I see the determination in his eyes.
"Jake no-" I'm interrupted by his lips meeting mine and his arms wrapping around my waist. I punch against his chest, try to scream at him but he silences it with his lips so it sounds mostly like whimpers. I try to kick at him but he is so close it's impossible. Suddenly I felt something calming me and for a second I thought I was just distancing myself but then I realised it's Jasper's power. I fight even harder against Jakob and try to send all my panicked and unwilling feelings to Jasper. Suddenly Jakob is gone and I stumble backwards against the door. Jasper is crouched in front of me and growls at Jakob. Jakob is shaking violently, a few feet from the porch and is watching me closely.
"Bella, come here." Jasper says and reaches one hand back for me. I give him my hand and he sends even stronger calming waves through me as he pulls me towards him slowly, only watching Jakob. "Get on my back." He says and helps me to get up on him. I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. "Hold on tightly." He says and I nod against his back as I hide my face against his shirt. Suddenly I feel the wind from his speed but I also hear paws and growls behind us. I hold closer onto Jasper, knowing they won't dare to hurt me, no matter how much they would want to hurt him. Suddenly we burst through the door into the Cullen house and the werewolves are left behind. They can't come close because of the treaty.
"Bella? Jasper?" Carlisle asks, surprised and I lift my head from Jasper's back. Carlisle is hugging Esme with her back against his chest, and they both look equally surprised.
"Hi." I whisper shakily and that wakes them up from their trance. Jasper helps me down gently from his back and hugs me tightly as I begin to sob. I cling to Jasper as if he were my lifeline and he just holds me comforting as he moves us towards the couch.
"What happened? Is she hurt?" Carlisle asks and sits down next to us, slowly removing me from Jasper's embrace.
"I don't think she is hurt." Jasper says and Carlisle relaxes slightly and hugs me closely.
"What is it, baby girl?" He asks and I sob and look up at him.
"Jakob." I sob and Carlisle's expression changes slightly.
"What did he do?" He asks gently, but Jasper answers for me.
"Jakob forced himself upon her. He kissed her against her will and didn't let go when she fought against him." Jasper says, anger seeping into his tone. "I pulled him away from her but the amount of anger I felt from him made me sure she wasn't safe… even if I removed him. I got her on my back and ran here. The pack is walking along the boundaries, they are all seething with anger since I used violence against one of them." He continues and Carlisle hugs me closer.
"Call the others and tell them to get back but to watch out for the wolves. I will call the alpha and ask for a meeting where we can explain the circumstances." Carlisle tells Jasper and Esme, then he looks concerned at me. "Did you get hurt?" He asks and I shake my head.
"Bruises maybe." Jasper ads and I nod.
"Probably." I mumble and Esme joins in on the hug that Carlisle and I are having.
"Come sweetheart." She says as she lifts me gently and carries me up the stairs. She lays down with me on Edward's bed and comforts me. After a few minutes I sit up and sigh lightly.
"I think I should take a shower." I say and she smiles kindly and nods.
"I'll leave some of the clothes Alice bought for you on the bed. Just call if you want something." She says and I nod and hug her gently again, then she leaves. I take a long shower, the warm water soothe both my aching muscles and my mind. When I'm done, I get dressed and walk downstairs to get something to eat.
"Hi Bella." Emmet says as I walk past him in the living room.
"Hi, did I miss something?" I ask and he shakes his head and follows me into the kitchen.
"Bella, we would like to have you with us at the meeting with the pack. They might believe us better if you tell them." Carlisle says gently as he puts a plate of soup on the table for me. I nod and sit down and start eating.
"Edward is here in ten seconds." Alice warns and everyone nods a little and then I'm swept up in Edward's arms.
"Bella, are you okay? I will kill that dog! He will never lay a hand on you again! Did he hurt you? Are you-"
"EDWARD, I'm okay. I'm not hurt. I'm here, honey." I say as I stroke his cheek gently with my thumb. He relaxes and kisses me gently.
"Edward, we will have a meeting with the pack in an hour." Carlisle says and Edward tenses.
"Bella is not." He growls and Carlisle sighs.
"I have to Edward. I need to explain to Sam that it's Jakob's fault and not Jasper's" I say and he growls a little but nods.
"You're never going to be alone with the mutt again." He growls to me and I smile a little and peck his lips.
"I promise to stay away from the pack as much as I possibly can." I say and he relaxes and my head against his chest.
"Thank you, love."
