Bella punches Jacob, Esme helps her

"Bella, don't go!" Jakob yells after me as I cradle my arm and run towards the border.

"Leave me alone!" I scream and push myself to run faster, as soon as I'm out of sight I slow down and pull the phone Edward gave me up. I call the Cullen house since I know Edward is hunting.

"The Cullen Residence?" Esme answers and I sob violently. "Bella, is that you? Are you injured?" She asks worriedly.

"Es… me. Can y-you p-pick me up at the border?" I cry and I hear an engine start.

"Of course, Bella. What happened?" She asks worriedly and I sob as I walk quicker towards the border.

"J-Jakob t-tried to… to…" I stop and cry violently.

"Did he assault you, Bella?" She asks with a dangerous motherly tone.

"Y-yes." I sob and she growls.

"Is he with you?"

"No." I whisper and she exhales slowly.

"I'll be at the border in just a few seconds, Bella. How far away are you?" She asks and I look up from the ground.

"I can see it." I state and then I see a black SUV turn up in front of the border.

"Come to me, babygirl." She whispers as she gets out of the car. I run as fast as I can towards her and throw myself into her arms. She hugs me tightly and pulls me into the car, driving away quickly. "Are you injured, darling?" She asks and I shake my head as I cry. "We are going home, okay honey?" I nod and she hugs me a little tighter, cooing softly in my ear.

A few minutes later she carries me into the livingroom and places me on the sofa, swaddling me in a lot of blankets and handing me a cup of hot chocolate, then she pulls me into her arms again and holds me tightly. The door opens and suddenly Edward is right in front of me, caressing my face worriedly.

"What happened? Are you injured? Did the dog do something? Oh Bella I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have left you alone here." He rambles and I just bury my head in his chest as Esme gives me to him. "Love, what happened?" He asks after we both have calmed down a little. I take a few deep breaths.

"Jakob and I started fighting and I told him I wanted to go home. H-he grabbed me and started k-kissing me and…" I sob violently and bury myself deeper into Edward's embrace. "I tried to stop him, I swear I did and I hit him and probably broke my hand but then I kneed him and ran and he was yelling at him and I called Esme and she got me and and…" I cry desperately and he rocks me gently.

"Are you injured, Bella?" Carlisle asks, concerned.

"M-my hand." I sob and he reaches for it slowly. I give him it and he examines me gently.

"I think you are right, you have broken it. We will need to X-ray it and put a cast on it. Did he do something else to you, Bella?" He asks and I shake my head. "Bella, did he rape you?" He asks seriously and I shake my head against Edward's chest. "I'm glad." He exhales relieved and smoothes my hair gently.

"Honey, we love you very much no matter what happened. You know that, don't you?" Esme asks me softly and I nod. She kisses my temple. "If you ever need to talk, I'm here. We are all here." She whispers in my ear and I nod a little again.

"I'm going to kill the dog." Emmet growls and I look up to meet his dark eyes. I nod.

"Please do." I whisper and everyone stills. "Kill the fucking dog." I mumble and Emmet, Jasper and Rosalie nod. Edward just holds me tightly.

"I also want to kill him." Edward growls and I nod.

"I know but I don't want you to leave me." I mumble and he nods.
