Chapter 12 Pechas and Pals
Well Happy Halloween guys. I hope you will enjoy this latest chapter. First off I'd like to remind my guest reviewer that I replied to your review and found some things confusing. You mentioned Norman pulling some sort of stunt last chapter, but the only thing he did was try and console his daughter after Jenny forbade her and Ash from being intimate. Please be more specific if possible.
Ash wanted to hug the second Pokemon he had caught in his early journey. His heart filled with both sadness and happiness at the reunion. But looking at May laying on the ground prevented him from doing that. The teenaged brunette girl was purple in the face like Koffin's body. Glaceon was also purple. Ash let out a pained grunt as he ran over to them.
He lifted May's back off the ground, "May! May!"
She opened her eyes weakly. "Ash."
"Hang in there May, I'm gonna get you help!" Ash said.
"Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu pushed Glaceon's shoulder trying to stir her.
"Gla." She said in a weak voice like her trainer.
"Pika. Pika." Pikachu spoke in an encouraging voice that said, "Don't give up. It will be alright."
"Glaceon," she replied in a calmer voice.
Ash had left his backpack back at home, so he didn't have any antidotes or medicine to treat them with. That meant he had to get them back to his house.
"I need Glaceon's pokeball!" Ash said as he unstrapped May's fanny pack from her waist and began to rummage through the pockets. He found cash in one pocket, then her pokeballs in the other. He felt the pokeballs one by one, the ones with pokemon were heavier. After two or three feels he found an empty one that had to be Glaceon's.
"Glaceon return!" Ash said.
A beam of light traveled to the Fresh Snow Pokemon and she was taken inside. Ash then gently picked up May bridal style and looked at Pidgeot.
"Sorry Pidgeot not a good time for a reunion," Ash said.
"Geot!" it said in a tone that seemed understanding as it could clearly see the poisoned girl.
"Come on, lets go home!" Ash said.
He ran as fast as he could with May in his arms and Pikachu running behind while Pidgeot flew above. After just a short while he came out of the woods and saw his house. The policemen camp was still outside with Officer Jenny watching as he made his way back.
"What happened?" Jenny asked.
"She got attacked by some members of Team Rocket that were in the woods!" Ash told her.
"Get her inside!" Jenny ordered then turned to her deputies. "Send some men into the woods to try and catch them!"
"Yes ma'am!" they said and began to run into the forest.
Ash meanwhile carried May toward the door, but it opened and revealed Caroline and Norman.
"Ash what happened to May?" Caroline asked, hysterically.
"She's been poisoned!" Ash said.
"Oh no!" Norman was now alarmed. "Give her to me!"
May heard her father's voice and though it hurt to move she put an arm around Ash's neck as he reached forward to pass her to her father.
"No!" she said weakly.
She was still angry with her father as well as Jenny for not allowing them to be together here and now. She knew he was just trying to keep them out of trouble as Ash could have been arrested for dating a girl her age. But thanks to that stupid rule she hadn't been able to confess to him before Misty who might take him first!
Norman heard her and a pained expression covered his face. He lowered his arms and moved aside. Ash brought May back closer to him, walking sideways through the doorway so that May's legs wouldn't get in the way.
"Brock!"
Brock and all the others came into the entry room. They were all shocked and scared upon seeing May's state.
"She's been poisoned!" Ash said. "Glaceon too!"
"Set her down on the sofa!" Brock ordered as he ran to get his backpack.
Ash did as his friend said while all the others gathered around looking at May worried. Ash brought Glaceon's pokeball out and let her out. Brock returned a moment later with a couple pink berries in hand. Pecha Berries to cure poison!
"Give them some air!" he shouted.
Everyone moved back as the breeder and aspiring pokemon doctor put a berry into May's mouth and she chewed. He then did the same with Glaceon. Immediately the purple in both the trainer and her pokemon's faced receded.
"You'll both be okay now May. Just try to take it easy," Brock advised.
"Thanks Brock," May said as she opened her eyes. "And thank you Ash."
Ash nodded, blushing slightly as Misty watched with a frown. But it faded soon enough and turned into a smile. She was glad that May was alright, but she'd have to talk with her later. Ash then noticed two other figures in the room.
"Tracy, Professor Oak!" Ash said.
"Hello Ash, good to have you home again!" Professor Oak said.
"Yeah, been a long time!" Tracy said. "Though from what I heard earlier you have quite a situation! Two girls confessing their love to you!"
"Uh-" Ash didn't know how to reply. Romance had never been one of his areas of expertise.
"You know I always had a feeling you and Misty liked each other from the way you fought all the time!" Tracy went on.
May cringed at mention of Misty's feelings. She wanted to get up and walk away from this conversation, but her body was still weak for now.
"We'll talk about that later!" Misty said.
"Yes, we have all the party food waiting!" Delia said.
Ash looked at May a bit worried, but his stomach grumbled and indicated it was definitely time to eat.
"Well alright let's chow down!" Ash said putting on a smile.
"Now hold on! We got Team Rocket members in the woods shouldn't we talk about what to do?" Brock suggested.
"We'll talk about that while we eat! Things are getting cold!" Delia said with a smile.
"Yeah," Dawn said with a bit of a nervous giggle. "No need to worry!"
"That's when I worry the most!" Brock folded his arms.
"Geot!"
"What was that?" Dawn asked at the sound.
Ash looked at the door behind him and saw a beaked face looking in through the window on it.
"Oh, its Pidgeot!" Ash ran to open the door.
"Pidgeot?" Brock exclaimed.
"No way!" Misty said.
Ash opened the door and allowed the large bird pokemon to walk in. It had to bend down as it did so.
"Is that that your old Pidgeotto that evolved, and you had it go with a flock of its prevolved forms to protect them?" Professor Oak asked.
"Sure is! It showed up right when I found May!" Ash said putting a hand on his old friend's wing. "Good to have you back, Pidgeot!"
"Pidgeot!" It cooed and nuzzled its old trainer.
Ash wrapped his arms around it. "I'm sorry I never came back. Things got really busy in the past four years."
"Geot!" It shook its head, showing it had no ill will toward him.
"Thanks, Pidgeot!"
"It's so big!" Max said. "I need to catch a Pidgey while I'm here so I can get one!"
"Well, this is a lovely reunion!" Delia said.
"Yeah, now let's all eat!" Ash said.

May was helped to her seat by her mother. They sat at the long table that Mrs. Ketchum had set up in the backyard filled with a large variety of food she'd made. Though it did have to be reheated a bit since things had been delayed by over half an hour. Pidgeot ate from a bowl with Pikachu sitting in front of it. The two old buddies talked in their language of their own names as Ash watched.
"So, Professor Oak are all my pokemon at the lab, okay?" Ash asked.
"Yes. I also put them and all the others on high alert in case Team Rocket does attack. I left my Dragonite to guard the lab as well. But Team Rocket could hit here too. I would recommend you get your best pokemon out and leave them here to protect the house!" the professor said.
"My best Pokemon huh?"
Ash looked at Pidgeot, which cause him to think of others that he used to have but had left for various reasons. Some he couldn't get back as they'd gone into the wild like his Butterfree, but there were others that he could.
"Well, I think it's time to get some old friends back!" Ash said.
Authors Notes: Well, hope you guys like this chapter and we'll be getting more of the old pokemon back soon enough, but will it be in time? Giovanni should be making a move soon. I probably planned on it being sooner but then I thought of a lot of things to happen first. Well, shouldn't be too many more chapters before he, Phantom, and the other bad guys come. Are there any other bad guys you think should be included? Please review and let me know! I already have Phantom and Double O-9 (Domino), I thought of Butch and Cassidy as well. If you also spot anything you don't like or feel needs correcting please put in a review and I will correct or edit chapters as needed like I did with the Gliscor issue or incomplete paragraphs.
