Chapter 19 No Escape?

Well been a few weeks. I didn't think I was gonna get this chapter done today but I managed. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year. I've resumed writing my Star Wars self insert fanfic and have started a new Naruto x Sakura fanfic as well. I will be doing my stories in a cycle, Naruto, Star Wars, Pokemon. It may not be on Sundays anymore. If you follow this story you'll probably get alerts whenever there is a new chapter out. Enjoy and hope you will check out my other stories as well.

Ash was in pain for a long time as May held him in her arms. Misty crawled over put a hand on his shoulder as well.

"Ash!" she exclaimed.

"I'll be okay Misty. Ugh!" he grunted. "I just hope Pikachu is okay."

"And Piplup!" Dawn said.

"And Mimey!" Delia agreed.

"Ah! Our pokemon were taken too!" Jessie exclaimed in her cell.

"Ah! No! My Carnivine and Mime Jr!" James

"Hey, where are all our Pokemon!?" Norman shouted.

"Somewhere safe and where they won't be trying to help you!" one of the rocket grunts standing guard over the cells said. "Now get some rest! We'll have a pokemon that can use heal bell or refresh patch up your friend in the morning! We'll need him operating for what the boss has planned for you."

Misty glared at them as she and May looked at Ash. Then an idea occurred to her.

"Um… excuse me! I need to use the bathroom!"

"Nice try. That's the oldest trick in the book."

"No really!" Misty shouted trying to sound desperate which wasn't hard given their situation.

"Fine. Machop! Come on out!" one of the Rocket grunts threw a pokeball.

"Machop!" the small blue fighting pokemon appeared.

"You try anything my little friend here will beat you up!" the grunt said.

Misty grit her teeth. Could she win against that fighting pokemon?

I have to try. She thought. Someone has to get us out of this.

"May, take care of Ash," Misty said.

"Of course," May said.

"Misty, try not to do anything rash," Norman said.

He looked at Caroline and Delia who were both laying on the ground trying to rest even though they were scared. Misty shuddered as she recalled the threat Giovanni had made just before he left. That if they tried anything, the two mothers would be the ones punished first. She gulped.

The rocket grunt with the Machop took a key from his pocket and opened the door to her cell. Misty glared at him as she stepped out.

"Grab her by the hand Machop, so she can't get away."

The Machop did as its trainer said. It grabbed Misty's hand. Her face scrunched up. Ever since she'd made up her mind to tell Ash her feelings, Misty had imagined him holding her hand like this. Well, not quite like this as the Machop was grasping her very tightly and painfully.

She was lead out of the cell to a hallway. As she was lead to the bathroom, Misty did her best to memorize the path, hoping to at least find a way out… maybe a weapon to use and knock the Machop out. Even if she did though, she might not be able to do the same to the two Rockets behind her before they called on another pokemon. And if she failed, then Ash's and May's mothers would get hurt.

She didn't see anything on her way to the bathroom. The hallways were completely empty besides a mop set. Misty stepped inside and sat on toilet which flushed a few minutes later. She had to at least put on an act. She was escorted back to her cell. No luck this time but maybe next time.

When she got back she noticed Ash had passed out on May's lap. The coordinator tended to her- their shared crush. Misty felt a wave of jealousy sweep over her. Talk about irony… being put in the same cell with her new love rival and her crush. How was this going to work out? May was certainly doing more for Ash right now. Misty grunted in pain as she clutched the bruise she'd received.

"You okay Misty?" May asked.

"I will be, its just a little bruise," she said.

"You should get some rest," May said.

Misty nodded. She laid down on the floor. Not nearly as comfortable as the bed she'd had in the guest room at the Ketchum's. Misty's face fell as she thought of the house now in ruins. All of Ash's trophies and photos would likely be buried, maybe even damaged in the wreckage. That added to the sorrow Misty felt.

For a while sleep would not come, but eventually it did. Misty managed to get at least a couple hours of sleep before.

"Time to get up new recruits!" a familiar voice called.

Misty woke up and saw Cassidy standing outside her cell, Butch and his Hypno at her side as well a Chansey which put its pink fingerless hands up to the cell Brock was in.

"Chansey!" Brock said taking the hand.

Brock had mentioned in the Sinnoh Region when he'd gotten a chance earlier.

"Chance!" it said in a scared voice.

"Hey, everything will be okay. I hope," Brock said.

"It will be, so long as you make the Boss happy," Butch said. "Now tell your Chansey to use refresh on your friend in that cell."

Brock looked over in the direction of the cell, Misty, May, and Ash were in. Ash was sitting up his face still covered in bruises.

"Do it Chansey," Brock nodded.

"Chansey, Chance," it nodded and walked over to their cell which was opened and Chansey put a hand on Ash as May and Misty watched. Chansey glowed with blue light that traveled to Ash whose face healed up.

"Ash, you okay?" Misty asked.

"Yeah, much better now," Ash said.

That was a small comfort.

"Alright, time to get to work kids! You're Team Rockets new frontal assault unit!" said a new voice as Domino suddenly entered the room with a clothing rack.

Everyone's eyes widened as they saw the rack was full of black uniforms with red R's.
