Chapter 20: Rocket Conquest Begins
Ash, Brock, Max and Norman all went to the mens bathroom in the prison where they (begrudgingly) put on the Team Rocket Uniforms. Misty, May and Dawn all went to the girls bathroom and did the same. Ash and Brock had done this once before with Misty years ago when they had imitated Team Rocket to mock them with their friend Duplica, a trainer that liked to dress up as other people and specialized in the pokemon Ditto. As he thought of that, Ash wished that someone like that would come along and help them out of this pickle. They couldn't do anything right now since Team Rocket had threatened to hurt Delia or Caroline if they resisted.
"I'm probably gonna lose my job if people find out I'm working for Team Rocket!" Norman said.
"Don't worry Norman, we'll figure something out," Ash said. "We're gonna get out of here."
Norman gave Ash a small smile. The boy was always so full of hope and never gave up, and he protected every one of his friends. He wondered if word of their capture had become public knowledge. If Officer Jenny or someone else could find them they might have a better chance.

Sure enough, around multiple regions, news was being broadcast of the event in Pallet Town. The ruins of Ash's house were on TV as Johanna and several familiar faces watched in various regions.
"Breaking news. A large number of young trainers have reportedly been abducted from the house owned by Delia Ketchum. As of now she and her son Ash are missing," the reporter said into her speaker as her camera man filmed. "Ash Ketchum is a talented young trainer that has done several notable accomplishments in his time as a Pokemon Trainer. Among the rest of the disappeared people are the Maple family which consists of Norman, the leader the Petalburg Gym in Hoenn, his daughter May, formally known as the Princess of Hoenn, a girl of great beauty they say, her brother Max, and their mother Caroline are also reported to have been guests at the Ketchum residence. Lastly, a coordinator named Dawn, the Cerulean Gym Leader Misty, and the former Pewter Gym leader Brock is missing as well. Professor Samuel Oak and Officer Jenny are here with us now in front of the rubble of the house.
Professor Oak appeared on the camera with Officer Jenny and Tracy by his side.
"We are all very worried, Ash has been the pride of Pallet Town for a long time. He and his friends are all in grave danger. Whatever Team Rocket has in store for them it can't be good," Professor Oak said. "Any and all help by trainers out there will be appreciated."
In the Sinnoh Region, Johanna watched a worried expression and her hands over heart as she thought of her daughter. Likewise, Misty's sisters, Brock's family, and various friends around the region were also worried. Morrison, Sakura, Tyson, Paul, Berry, Nando, Zoey, Gary, and many others saw the faces of their friends on the screen.

Giovanni sat in his office. He tapped a button.
"Is everything ready?" he asked.
"Yeah Boss!" Butch's voice said in the comm.
"Good. Get our new members on the offensive as soon as possible," Giovanni said. "Send teams to Celadon, Saffron and Vermillion, I would say those are the biggest cities as they have the largest trading sites in Kanto. Also, prepare our teams in Johto and Hoenn as well. We don't have as many operations there but we can at least begin things. Since Team Magma and Aqua disbanded they left their territory open to us. Professor Namba will handle things in Johto."
"Right boss!"
"You and Cassidy will take our new team and attack Saffron, I expect your Houndoom," Giovanni said. "I will be sending Phantom to Vermillion with another two dozen men to Vermillion. Then Domino shall go to Celadon with her team."
The Rocket Conquest had begun.

"Hypno hypnosis!" Butch said.
"Hypno! Hypno! Hypno!" the yellow psychic pokemon swung its pedulumn, the machine on its arm boosting and putting the prisoners under its control.
Ash, all his friends, and Norman were once again put under hyponosis. Caroline and Delia were still in the cells. Pikachu (also controlled by Hypno) was released from its electric proof container and ran onto Ash's shoulder as both grinned evilly.
"Lets do what the boss says huh Pikachu!" Ash said.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu agreed.

They all walked into the Rocket Choppers which flew them to Saffron city. As they hovered over it for a moment then descended to the ground. Cassidy opened the hatch as Ash and the others drew their Pokeballs.
"Charizard!" Ash called.
"Blaziken!"
"Gyrados!"
"Croagunk!"
"Mamoswine!"
"Vigoroth!"
"Ralts!"
All of the pokemon they let out roared ferociously, except for the little Ralts who simply growled. At the sight of the powerful pokemon and the Team Rocket 'members' in broad daylight, people shouted and pointed.
"Team Rocket!"
"Look out! It looks they're attacking!"
"Everyone run!"
"Wait- I know those faces!"
"That's Ash Ketchum, the boy who went missing from Pallet Town! And the others as well!"
"Alright time to cause some destruction!" Butch said. "Have your pokemon attack!"
"Yes Commander Butch!" all the hypnotized trainers said. "Attack!"
Their pokemon immediately began rampaging through the city, Charizard and Blaziken shot flamethrowers to the buildings, Mamoswine and Gyrados shot ice and water at the crowds who began running. Pikachu ran and shot thunderbolts everywhere, shocking people and paralyzing them. The sight caused Ash to shudder, he grunted. Butch noticed this.
"Keep your hypnosis on them Hypno!" Butch said. "His conscience is getting to him. Go deeper with it!"
"Hypno!"
It focused its power on Ash and suppressed the guilt he was feeling subconsciously. The attack continued and soon the city was greatly damaged by the powerful pokemon. Vigoroth tore up stores and brought goods to the copter. Butch and Cassidy smiled at the devastation.
Well I was thinking of having some sort of corruption factor in the hypnosis that caused the good guys to change bad but so far this chapter has lost two faves so maybe that was a mistake. Well, I took that part out and the heroes will remain as heroes, they would have regardless I think. I just thought it mind add some drama if one of them turned evil cause inside cause of the hypnosis but ah well. I probably have enough going on as it is with the love triangle and the heroes being captured. But I think they will have to deal with charges as well as some post traumatic stuff. Please review.
