Jade walked out to the Asphalt Café with her lunch in hand, gaze set on the gang's usual table. On closer inspection, she saw that Tori was the only one there. She kept walking and sat down next to her.

"Where is everyone?" she asked. Tori seemed to be ignoring her. All her attention was on her phone which she kept growling at and poking harder than necessary.

"You are aware that you just need to tap the screen, not put your finger through it," Jade commented, letting go of the fact that she was ignored the first time. Tori groaned and set it down none too gentle on the table.

"It's just, this stupid music app isn't working," she whined. Jade's eyes flicked to the phone.

"May I?" she asked, hand hovering over it. Tori nodded and Jade picked it up. She looked through the app a little bit. Everything was as it should be.

"What's wrong with it? It seems to be working fine," she remarked, playing one of Tori's favorites to prove it.

"It keeps playing songs I don't like. Especially the ones that get on my nerves," she explained. Jade chuckled.

"So mark that you don't like it and the app won't play it," Jade replied, setting down the phone. Tori snatched it back up.

"I know how the app works!" she snapped. Jade raised her hands placatingly.

"I'm sorry. I'm just so frustrated with it. You know, this is the second app to do this to me," Tori commented, staring at her phone forlornly.

"That's unfortunate," Jade said, starting on her lunch.

"Yeah. Maybe I should just uninstall it and go without a music app," Tori decided. Jade raised a brow at her.

"But you love music," Jade pointed out.

"Not when it's music I can't stand," Tori declined. Jade shrugged and nodded.

"True. But I also think that maybe it's just coincidence. Maybe if you keep disliking songs and favoriting the ones you do like it will eventually catch on," she advised, watching Tori carefully. Her glower started to wane, a hopeful smile replacing it.

"Yeah. Maybe it just needs to learn my preferences. Thanks, Jade!" Tori praised, dropping a quick kiss to her cheek. Jade could feel her face warm up. Tori really had to stop doing that.

"No problem," she mumbled, taking a bite of her food and hoping Tori hadn't noticed her shy behavior. Tori finally set down her phone and started eating too. Jade glanced at her, taking in her happy mood. She looked better that way, not sullen and angry. Jade's thoughts turned inward. When she came up with the idea, she meant it as a playful prank. She didn't think it would upset her that much. But it turned out that Tori's music preference was more important than Jade initially thought. Note to self, stop messing with Tori's music app when she wasn't looking.
