"It never ceases to amaze me," Glorfindel said as he pulled his love and lord closer to him by an arm around a shoulder.
"What?" Elrond asked, leaning into the crook of Glorfindel's arm.
"How the flowers can come back," Elrond's warrior said, "how they live forever, seemingly, and can live in the snow that caused their death in the first place."
"And it amazes me," Elrond said, "how a wonderful elf can live in the time of creatures that killed him in the first place." Glorfindel held Elrond closer to him, and Elrond smiled.
"My flower," he said happily.
