"Regelus," Snape said in a fit of rage, pale skin turning red. "What do you think you will gain from this? The dark Lord will find out and kill you."
"My brother's best friend is going to get killed, Severus. There's no reason for it!"
"He married a filthy mudblood!" Snape cried.
"He saved your life," Regelus countered.
"He's embarrassed me many times!"
"He's innocent," Regelus whispered, then fell to the ground. "He's more innocent than us. Who are we to sentence him to his death!"
Snape said nothing, but kneeled next to Regelus and pulled him into his arms. "He'll kill you," Snape said.
"Then I'll take a part of him with me." He placed a soft uncharacteristic kiss on Snape's chin. "Never tell?" he asked.
"Never," Snape answered.
