Chapter 15: The handsome, shapeshifting glutton

It was a stormy evening in a place known as Tomobiki, known as the place of fools and madmen.

A certain middle aged...and ugly looking monk known was standing before a certain lower middle-class house.

He then proceeded to let himself in, which bothered those who saw him come in.

Mrs. Moroboshi was surprised as the monk walked inside and was now in her living room, looking at him concerned.

"Pardon me..." The monk said as he spoke to them Moroboshis, and Shinobu.

"My name is Sakurambo, call me Cherry..."He said.

"Cherry?..."They all thought as they looked at him and found his nickname weird.

However, they wondered what he wanted...well, most of them did. Ataru was just annoyed to see him.

"You again? What do you want?..."He demanded in a rude tone.

"Ataru..."Shinobu lightly scolded as the monk spoke.

"I have come to warn you that I sense a great deal of misfortune..."The short man said dramatically.

At that most of them gasped, Ataru raised a brow suspiciously, only for Cherry to add something of relief.

"Fortunately it's nowhere near here..."He said, keeping that same expression on his face.

That made Ataru drop before he forced himself back up, furious at the tiny monk for interrupting his time with Shinobu and for no reason.

"Then why did you enter our house, anyway?..."Ataru's mother asked, trying to sound respectful but on the inside, she was mad by the false alarm too.

"Given how unlucky this family is, I figured it was best to know about it, in case you may encounter it at some point..."He said vaguely.

This only made a certain teenage boy angry at what he thought, was a strange man wasting his time.

"Listen here, you tutti-frutti monk, if this has nothing to do with me, then don't bother us! Besides, your face looks more evil than anything!..."He said rudely.

Cherry frowned at that.

"How rude! Even if this misfortune isn't effecting you specifically, you can still listen..."He said, insulted by him.

"Ataru, calm down..."Shinobu said, not pleased with her boyfriend's attitude.

Ataru then shouted, still annoyed by the monk.

"No, I won't. He's just a crazy old coot who keeps showing up!..."He shouted. "Plus, the only real kind of bad luck I got was not being chosen to face that busty, bikini-wearing babe with horns! I'd bet she'd be into me if we ever met..."He said, drooling as he thought about her.

This angered his jealous girlfriend very much.

"Ataru, you pervert!..."Shinobu yelled as she began to slap him senseless, while his parents looked embarrassed.

"Such misfortune..."Cherry muttered as he left.

"That cursed family might get theirs in time...but right now, I feel something far more sinister approaching..."He said as he could still sense the evil fast approaching.

He just didn't know when or where it would happen.

Meanwhile

In America

Danny had just had dinner with his parents, trying to finish as fast as possible to make sure his "guests" didn't blow their cover or his.

"Well, that was a fun dinner, just the right amount of gravy on the ham..."Jack said in his usual way as he patted his stomach.

"Yes, Jack. At least the right amount you intake..."Maddie said before they went to the lab to go back to their inventing. "Remember to brush your teeth, kids..."She said to her children. "And stay out the lab, we need to finish our latest project..."She added, eager to get back to their important research.

"Yes, Mom..."Danny said as he watched his parents head downstairs.

The ghost boy sighed as he brought two extra plates of food to his room...along with a big bottle of tabasco sauce.

"I still can't believe I'm doing this but I can't let them starve..."He sighed as he went to his room with the food.

There, Lum and Ten were in his room, waiting for him.

"Darling!..."Lum said, happy to see him come back.

"Danny..."Ten said, just as happy.

Danny ignored them as he placed the food in front of them.

"Here, eat up..."He said as he handed them the food, plus the Tabasco.

Lum and Ten smiled.

"Oh darling, you're so thoughtful..."She said, taking the bottle as she was beaming with joy.

"Unlike some people..." He muttered under his breath.

Lum drank from the bottle like it were soda as Ten was scarfing down his food and tried to grab it.

"My turn!..." He insisted.

Lum passed it to him.

The lights started flickering and Danny realized what this means.

"And... another power outage for the entire block in 3...2...1."He muttered under his breath.

A blackout soon happened and the house went quiet for a moment before accusations were flying.

"GHOST!..."Jack's scream could be heard from the basement.

"It's just a blackout, Jack..."Maddie was heard.

Danny heard this and sighed. Thanks to some device Lum had, while his room was now sound proof and his folks can't hear what's going on in here, they can still hear them.

"Your parents are strange..."Ten couldn't help but comment.

"Just make sure that they never see either of you..."Danny said.

"I still don't see why I can't just introduce myself to mother-in-law and father-in-law..."Lum said, wanting to accepted by his family.

Danny glared at her.

"I already told you that I'm not your husband and they wouldn't like you, and if you even think about showing yourself, then it's back to your planet, kicking and screaming if need be..."Danny said, angry.

Lum frowned and and crossed her arms.

"How long until the power comes back?..."Ten asked.

"No idea, it might be back in a few hours..."He said, used to these things.

Lum was still frowning before an idea came to her mind and turned to Danny, now smiling.

"At times like these, we should just go to bed early..."Lum suggested.

Danny frowned but realized she has a point.

"Fine, just remember to stay on your own bed..."Danny said.

Lum frowned at that.

"Darling, I would love for you to come with me..."She complained and Danny ignored her.

Ten merely looked out the window,seeing that the weather is still bad and it will be a while before the power comes back.

"Why do I get the feeling that something unpleasant is going to happen?..."He thought as his cousin and his hero got ready for bed.

Unknown to them, something evil was approaching earth...and fast.

Meanwhile

Despite the storm, someone was heading to Fenton works...on foot.

It's Sam Manson, who was carrying only her umbrella and was on the move like she was heading into battle

Which actually was true, given where she was going.

"Hang on, Danny. I'll keep that alien floozy away from you..."She thought as she kept walking, wanting to get there before Lum does something to him.

It's been almost 3 weeks since she invaded his life and she refuses to take a hint and leave. Well, Sam wasn't going to stand for it any longer.

She was going to make sure Lum leaves, one way or the other, even if she has to fight for his freedom... literally if need be.

"I'm not going to let that space-case make his life worse!..."She thought in anger and jealousy as she kept walking.

Unknown to the goth girl, something had just entered earth's atmosphere.

It looked to be a space-ship...one that has tiger stripes and it was flying at great speed.

It was also heading for her direction. Very fast too.

Sam briefly stopped walking as she heard a strange voice.

"Huh? What's that?..."She wondered as she looked back and gasped in horror as she witness the crash.

"What the heck?!...'She exclaimed as she ran to the crash sight.

To her horror, she saw that it was UFO.

"Oh no, not another alien!..."She said in worry as she got closer and examined it.

Suddenly, the ship's pilot hatch opened and someone came out. Sam quickly pulled out her Fenton wrist ray and pointed it.

"Go ahead, I'm armed!..."She said, aiming it . "Just try it..."She thought, ready for anything.

However, once she finally laid eyes one this invader...she gasped.

"Oh...my..."Sam thought as her face suddenly turned red and she briefly forgot about the fact that this guy just crashed landed here in a space ship.

Mostly because he was very handsome, enough that even she couldn't help but stare at his face like an idiot.

This stranger approached her and soon collapsed in front of her. Sam snapped out of her daze and cautiously approached him.

"Uh...um...Hello?..."Sam asked, still cautious but also unable to stop gazing at him.

The stranger looked at her again and Sam once again found herself red until he finally spoke.

"Lum..."Was the only thing he said.

Back at Fenton Works

Danny, who wasn't tired yet, was looking out the window. His parents had decided to go to bed early when the lights went out and Jazz was downstairs, while his house guests were still in his room.

They claimed that they didn't want to fly out in the storm, but Danny knew that they just wanted to stay here with him...mostly to keep pestering him to accept Lum.

"There has to be something I can do..."Danny thought as he looked at the rain.

"Darling! Come on, let's go to bed!~..."Lum said in a sing-song voice.

Danny rolled his eyes and turned his head. He gasped when he saw that she had crawled into his bed...again.

"Lum, you idiot! Who told you to get on my bed! Get off it, now..."He demanded.

Ten then floated to him, looking at Danny and tried to cheer him up in his own way.

"Hey. You don't need to be embarrassed, ya know..."Ten said.

"Embarrassed?..."Danny repeated, not liking this as the kid kept talking.

"I'll just close my eyes, so go to bed already..."Ten said with an innocent yet knowing smile.

Danny seemed disturbed by the way he said it.

"Say what?..."He asked, not liking this.

"Don't tell me you don't know how to do it with a woman, Danny?..."Ten asked his hero, oblivious to how Danny was acting about that subject.

The ghost boy, however, was just shocked by his knowledge.

"What did you just say?!..."Danny exclaimed in horror and feeling faint at what he sad before glaring at his so-called wife. "LUM! What the heck have you been saying in front of him?!..."He shouted, appalled.

Ten and Lum were both surprised by this reaction.

"Darling, calm down. It's only natural for our race to learn what what we need to prepare for adulthood..."Lum defended. "Plus, it's only natural for two lovers to engage in...romantic actions together..."She said.

Danny just glared at her and was mad at what she just implied, especially since Ten was still in the room with them.

"One, we are NOT lovers and two, you can't just say it though! And advance race or not, he's still a baby and its too early for him to know that kind of stuff!..."He argued.

Ten didn't like that his hero was mad and tried to defused the situation by trying to be cute.

"Me bad boy?..."He asked in his babyish way.

Danny sighed and looked at Ten, his anger briefly leaving as he knew that he doesn't understand Earth norms yet.

"No, but you clearly have been around bad influences..."He said as he glared at Lum.

Lum looked offended at that.

"Hey, my race is more advance than yours and we learn from a young age how to-.."She tried to defend herself but was cut off when her suppose husband started yelling again.

"Don't say another word, Lum!..."A red-faced Danny yelled at her as he covered Ten's ears, despite the fact that it might not do much good at this point.

Lum frowned and had her own suspicious for his bad mood.

"This is because Sam is coming here, isn't she?..."Lum demanded, sounding jealous.

Danny frowned.

"So what? She's my best friend and she can stop by anytime she wants..."Danny said, only for Lum to get furious.

"How can you say that to your own wife?!..."Lum shouted, enraged over what she thought was him trying to cheat on her.

"One, you're not my wife and two, she's just my best friend who's just stopping by to see if everything is okay. It doesn't mean anything..."He said.

"Liar!..."Lum said as she grabbed some items and tried hitting him with it.

"L-Lum, please stop, this is not how you two will start a family together...Ten said, not wanting them to fight again but he was ignored by her.

He also can't do much since his cousin is older and a lot stronger than him. She went on to throwing stuff at Danny.

The ghost boy just turned intangible and let them faze through him, but he got annoyed.

"Will you keep it down? My parents are still home and they can't know you're here..."Danny said and Lum was still mad.

Sure, the room was sound proofed but that didn't mean that they still couldn't show up at any point.

"Let them, so they know what a cheater their son is! Take this!..."Lum said in anger as she tried to grab more items but he easily phased through them.

Lum noticed but she was still mad that she just kept at it, too angry to stop.

"And take this!..."She yelled as she kept throwing things at him.

"Just stop and try not and break anything, already!..."Danny complained as the items kept going through him thanks to his intangibility.

He groaned until he noticed she stopped.

"Finally..."He thought as he briefly became solid again...just in time for the alien princess to throw one more item.

However, since Danny had been looking back, he turned and finally saw what she threw, which was heavier than the other stuff.

A chair.

He didn't go intangible in time and ended up being hit.

"Ouch!..."Danny said as he was hit and was soon on the ground.

Lum's temper stopped once she saw what she had done.

"Huh? No! Darling, don't die!..."She said in worry as she ran to him

Danny wasn't hurt since he was much more durable than that, but he didn't enjoy getting hit by that chair...or the annoying alien who was all over him now.

"Get off!..."Danny said as he got away from her, looking furious.

"Are you okay, Danny?..."Ten asked in concern for his hero.

"I'm fine..."He said before glaring at Lum. "But no thanks to you...I can't believe you'd even think of throwing things with Ten in the room. It's bad enough that you tried to hospitalized me but you could have hurt him too..."He pointed out.

Lum knew that he was right but she remained stubborn.

"Well...if you didn't want that, then don't cheat on me!..."Lum argued. "Plus, if you didn't want me around, then you shouldn't have proposed to me..."She said, making him angrier.

"I am not a cheater and we are NOT married!..."He yelled at her for the thousandth time.

Before this could erupt in their usual arguments, someone had appeared at the window, who was soaking wet and also someone that Danny recognized.

It was Sam.

"Danny..."The goth said in a tired voice.

"Sam?!..."Danny exclaimed in a panic as he went to her, ignoring Lum's jealous scowl.

"What happened to you?..."He asked as he let her inside.

However, upon doing that, he noticed that she was not alone.

There, standing under Sam was a man with green hair and he was dressed in a tiger stripped jumpsuit...he also had a less than pleasant look the moment he laid eyes on Danny.

"Who is he?..."He thought while his female friend spoke.

"Danny, this guy suddenly crashed in a space ship near here and made me bring him here..."Sam said as the man helped put her down and revealed he had a pair of horns poking from his head.

"Huh?..."He asked as he looked at this guy.

He actually looks like...an oni.

"Oh no, not another one!..."He thought in dismay as the other aliens noticed the new arrival.

"Huh?..."Ten let out, almost sounding shocked while Lum looked horrified.

"Rei?!..."The alien princess suddenly shrieked.

The alien man heard her, came into the room and suddenly looked excited for some reason.

"Lum..."The alien man let out, smiling as he approached the bikini wearing Oni who was backing away from him.

"I thought I told you that it's over!..."Lum yelled as she began running, while the guy chased after her, ignoring her protests as he called out her name.

"Lum!..."The strange, handsome alien said as he chased after the oni princess.

Danny saw this and blinked in confusion as the girl who claims to be his wife is being chased by this mysterious male oni.

"Uh, who is this guy?..."He asked, looking lost.

"He's...uh...Lum's ex-fiance..."Ten whispered, surprising the two earthlings.

"Wait... what?!..."Danny let out as he suddenly felt like things were about to get crazier.
