Chapter 2

After a small talk. Finn and Bell finally went back inside the office to inform the other 2 top executives of the result of their mock battle. After entering inside, the blonde pallum wasted no time and said that Bell passed the test.

"Huh!? You must be kidding Finn, or old age might be finally getting you huh?" Said the dwarf.

"I don't think that's the case Gareth, remember what he said when the boy entered the room with Alice? This boy have some experience on him. Maybe you're just basing everything on his appearance." Riveria said with a small welcoming smile directed to the boy.

"Riveria is definitely right, this boy is by no means amateur like what you and the other familias expected. He may not be able to land a single hit on me but that's because I was forced to use my full power against him, a thing that never happened before whenever I'm not facing Ottarl." He closed one of his eyes and looked at the boy beside him.

"So right now, I want you Loki to finally bestow him your blessing or do you have something against us accepting him in?"

"Now of all time? You've already done all of your shenanigans!! Why ask me anyway? Just take him to my room! I'll go ahead!" The goddess walked away. Stomping every step like a kid.

All of them except for Bell decided to ignore her and proceed to the conversation. And planned where his room is and who will mentor him.

"How about Raul? He might be a wimp sometimes but you can count on him with things like this." Gareth said before taking another sip of his liquor.

"Isn't there any other options? Raul's hands are always full of Finn's orders. Let him take a breather sometime." Riveria said with a frown on her face.

"Then how about you Riveria? Are you up to the task of mentoring him?"

"I don't really mind but are you sure Finn? The others especially Lefiya might throw a fit because of this. You know her and Alicia when they start." Riveria face palmed when she remembered something they did to a newbie causing him to cry and leave their Familia.

"I believe that you won't let that happen again on your watch." He then turned to Bell and explained to him that Riveria will be her teacher for the time being and he can ask her everything. Be it about their Familia or dungeon exploration.

"Um... P-Please take care of me, Lady Riveria!" He bowed at the high elf, much to her dismay.

"Alright. But please stop addressing me with such honorific. I'm not a royalty anymore and besides, you really don't have to since you're not an elf." She then proceeded on patting him on his head before gesturing that she follow her outside.

The two of them went to Loki's room. Riveria knocked the door and was soon greeted by the goddess slowly opening the door. As soon as they went inside, Riveria immediately closed the door which surprised Bell.

"W-W-Why did you close the d-hiihh!! Why do you have to lock it!!??"

"Stop asking question about every single thing! Ofcourse we will close the door! Do I really have to say that you need to strip in order to receive a Falna!?" Riveria said angrily.

"Oooh!! Nice reaction kid! I like you... MUHIHIHIH-OUCH!!!"

"Enough Loki! Bell, please sit here. Remove your shirt and turn your back against this huge headache." He then did her instruction.

Loki also proceeded on giving him her blessing. After finding her trusty knife, she proceeded on piercing her index finger and letting the blood drop on his back.

After little more, the blessing was bestowed and now he has his status. But to Loki's surprise, there is already a skill in there. A thing that she never saw before.

"Kid! Come here!" She then gave him a brown piece of paper containing his Status.

Liaris Freese: Strong emotions results in rapid growth. The stronger you feelings is the faster you grow. As a side effect, the user will become immune to any form of charm and libido increasing drinks.

Bell looked at the paper in awe as he saw his status for the first time. However when he saw the skill, he immediately remembered his mother and the promise that he made to her 7 years ago.

Flashback.

The sky was dyed red as the sun was about to set soon. Alfia and Bell were currently walking hand to hand back to their home after taking the boy into a little stroll.

"Mom...?" The boy asked worriedly.

"Yes dear?"

"Don't get angry about this okay? Because I always wanted to ask you about this..." He said lowering his head. Fearing the wrath of his beloved mother.

Alfia only sight before hitting him lightly on his head.

"Just ask it."

"W-Why are you not smiling..!? Are you not happy about taking care of me...?" He asked innocently with tears forming on his eyes.

They stopped their tracks when Alfia slowly looked into the sky. Thinking about something deep before facing her child again.

"You see... I think I made a huge mistake by going here and choosing to stay by yourside instead of going with someone me and your uncle Zald knew. And because of that, a hero will never be born. The world will be doomed..." She said solemnly as she slowly opened her eyes.

Bell looked straight into it and were mersmerized by how beautiful they look. Despite not being same in color, he found it very pretty and fitting to her face and ash colored hair.

He then made up his mind right that moment. Because he doesn't want to see her always frowning anymore. He decided that he will be his mother's hero.

"Then... THEN I WILL BECOME A HERO! I WILL SAVE THIS WORLD AND YOU FROM YOUR REGRET MOM!!" He said with conviction and absolute resolve. This made Alfia shed tears before smiling at the boy in front of her.

"You cheeky little brat..." She then enveloped her little rabbit in her arms. Embracing him tightly.

Flashback End.

"Mom... I can finally fulfill my promise to you... At long last... I can finally save you from your regret..." He slowly covered his face as tears started to fall down from his red ruby eyes.

Since Loki doesn't know what to do. Riveria had to take action and slowly embrace the crying young man. She slowly brushed his soft whit hair while listening to his muffled words.

A few minutes have passed and he finally stopped.

"Are you okay now...?" Asked the worried elf.

"Yes... Thank you Riveria-san. I just remembered my mom when I saw my skill." He took a peak again at the now wet paper to see and read the skill section.

"What kind of promise is it? But before you answer that we have to tell you something." The high elf then looked into her goddess before looking back to the boy.

"That skill of yours, we need to keep it a secret to everyone. Even from the other members of this Familia especially the girl with a blonde hair. Her name is Aiz and she's so obsessed on getting stronger to the point where if she ever heard about this. She will do whatever it takes to obtain it even if it kills her."

Meanwhile.

Alise was running straight back to their home because she suddenly remembered that the reason why she came out of the dungeon immediately was because Astrea called for her.

" I'm screeeewwwd!!!! Well... Not literally since Astrea-sama will never scold us no matter what but what if it's something important?! Both Ryu and Kaguya will surely butcher me!!! "

She ran with all of her might and few minutes later, the Stardust Garden came into her view which made her sigh in relief.

As she entered their home, she noticed that most of their members were waiting for her outside.

"Captain Alise, what took you so long? I thought you were just going to buy some Jagamarukun earlier when I went to fetch you in the dungeon but before I knew it. You're already gone!" A gray haired women with golden eyes said while running straight to Alise.

"Ah! Sorry Caren. I just saw someone in trouble and went overboard on helping them." She scratched the back of her head as they entered the manor.

As they opened the door, they were welcomed by both Kaguya and Ryu whi's currently glaring at their captain for some reason.

"You have to fix that habbit of yours... It's not bad to help people in need but you should find a right timing to do that... Not all the time." Kaguya said while rubbing her temples.

Kaguya is the vice captain of their Familia and in the same level as Alise. A level 5 swordswomen with an unparalleled skill. According to all of their members, Kaguya is the strongest combatant if not because of Alise's Enchant Magic to help her boost her status.

"I hate to say that I agree with her. Especially when the one calling you is Astea-sama." Added Ryu.

Ryu Lion. An Elven Warrior and an executive of Astrea Familia. She's incredibly famous for her records of tracking down the remnants of Evilus Familia. This earned her the title of 'Calydonian Huntresa' and was feared by the criminals. She's just a level below her companions Alise and Kaguya that's both first class but her incredible skills makes up for her second class adventurer status.

"Anyway, let's go inside. Lyra and the others are waiting for you, Astrea-sama will make an announcement."

They proceeded to their living room which was more than enough to house all of their members.

"Welcome home Alise, now I can finally say this... From now on. I Astrea will allow boys to enter our Familia. I think it's finally time to leave the rules of the old time to where they belong and become open to both genders living in the same roof as a family."

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!??????" Alise screamed.

This surprised all of them especially Astrea herself, she thought that her captain were opposed to it until she spoke.

"NOOO!!!! I SHOULD'VE BROUGHT THAT NEW COMMER HERE INSTEAD!!! IT'S SUCH A WASTE!!!" She started to pull her hair out of frustration.

All the executives just sighed at the sight but their interest soon was piqued when Astrea asked a question about the individual she helped earlier.

"Alise. May I ask you a question about the new commer you mentioned?"

"Yes!? Ah! Yeah... The truth is..."

After explaining everything. Everyone was shocked to what happened to her especially when they arrived to the point where the boy and Finn did a mock battle.

"Are you sure Alise? Sometimes I can't trust your stories because there are times that you exagerate it" Said a pink haired Pallum.

Lyra. A level 4 Pallum who's known for creating explosives and extremely cunning attitude. She's the leader of their second team in expeditions and the ones who manages their financial problems. Braver has his eyes on her.

"I'm serious this time! You can go ahead and check him on Loki Familia if you want! I saw how he made Finn to dance around on his palm... He's no ordinary boy. I think he's a prodigy."

All of them were taken a back by the sight of a completely serious Alise, sure she is serious when inside the dungeon and when they are tracking down criminals but this is on a completely different level.

Twilight Manor.

After their small talk. Riveria, Bell and Loki went back to the captain's office and reported to Finn. They told him about Bell's rare skill and agreed that they should keep it a secret to everyone else. Especially to Aiz.

"Is that all? If it is then let us proceed on introducing him later to all of our members. Bell, you will be introduced to everyone later at our dinner so make sure to prepair something to say and make a good impression okay?"

The boy gulped down at the thought of himself in front of the largest Familia in orario. A familia that houses more than 100 members.

" I wish mom would come here right away... "
