Chapter 7.
Bell's POV.
I woke up gazing at a very unfamiliar ceiling while laying in a very comfortable bed. It was already morning since it was very bright outside and when I looked around, I saw the executives of my familia and Alise-san's familia as well except for Riveria-san.
But then I noticed someone was holding my hand and when I turned to my right, I smiled and touched her hand gently.
My action woke her up and when she finally knew what was happening, her eyes shot wide open and woke everyone up.
"Finn! Gareth!! Everyone! He's awake now! get up!" She shouted.
"What's wrong Riveria-san?" I asked.
Loki then entered while Riveria-san was waking up the others.
For some reason, after reading the grimoire, I fell asleep and the color of my skin went so pale so Alise-san and Astrea-sama brought me to the Dian Cecht Familia but they don't know what's happening to me. They checked all of my vitals and everything they can but found nothing suspicious.
That's why they had no choice but to bring me back to the Stardust Garden and let me take a rest inside Astrea-sama's room. While she'll be with Alise-san.
"So, how long have I been sleeping this whole time?"
"3 weeks kid. And we only have one more week to prepare for our fight against that bimbo... Finn already had everything planned out, the only thing we were waiting for is the time you woke up." Goddess explained to me.
After her explanation, she was sent flying a long with the door behind her when it opened. Alise-san then entered with tears in her eyes and she soon hugged me when she saw me completely fine.
"A-AALISE-SAAANN!!! PLEASE LET GOO OF MEE!!!" I said in embarassment as I can feel her cheeks close to mine and her whole body pressing me down against the bed.
"I don't know what the hell happened but Bell... I'm so happy to see you woke up...!!!" She tightened her hug that it almost crushed my bones.
"It's good to see you woke up but I'm afraid that there is no time to waste, you will have to train from now until the day before the war game in order to become stronger. Bell, your strength is already comparable to a mid level 4 adventurer, but after gaining a falna and magic, I think it will boost your already strong body, not to mention your sword skills rivals that of a first class adventurer so our only objective right now is for you to gain excilia and rank up... That's why, we will train you in both combat and dungeon exploration. Now, get ready, have your status updated so we can take a look at the magic you gained. We also have lots of superior class weapons you can choose from so after that, come see us at the training grounds here. We'll be waiting."
I followed captain's orders and went to the toilet to wash my face and fixed my clothes. After that, I went outside and saw a very beautiful girl with long flowing black hair, red yukata with purple and orange obi and flower design on it with a yellow coat over. She was just stairing at the window as if she was thinking about something.
She noticed me staring at her and she smiled before walking towards me.
"it's good to see that you're fine, you really made us worried you know?"
"Beautiful..." I muttered unconsciously when I examined her face.
She was really beautiful, she looks like a noble from the far east and acts like one. Her small face and fierce looking scarlet eyes, and soft looking lips...
"Something on my face Bell Cranel? Don't tell me you fell under my charm?" Kaguya-san teased me with a sly grin on her face.
"I... N-No! I just saw you earlier thinking about something and I didn't like the idea of disturbing y-"
"I'm just joking, I don't want to steal Alise's first love so I'll scarce my self. Let's just meet in our training grounds later so make sure you prepare, I'm kinda interested in your abilities so I won't hold back later." She waved at me and disappeared as she walks out of their home.
" Grandpa... You're right!!! THERE ARE SO MANY BEAUTIFUL GIRLS HERE AT ORARIO!!! SO MANY THAT I CAN'T CHOOSE!!! " I screamed mentally as I took note of the most beautiful women I've encountered so far during my short stay here in Orario.
But then, I remembered that I don't have enough time to waste, a war was coming and the outcome of it will decide my fate.
"I need to become stronger...!!"
Astrea's Room.
Normal POV.
Loki was waiting for Bell to return and was walking in circles while thinking about what happened last night.
It was an unbelievable and god sent event that made her confident on this war game even if Bell don't train. Because of the two persons who applied to her Familia that could end this war game on their own.
She felt happy but also sad at the same time because of what has to be done in order for them to join the Loki Familia. The sacrifice they had to make in order to help Bell.
Flash back.
It will be three weeks already if Bell doesn't wake up today, Loki and all the other members and executives of her familia aside from a certain werewolf were worried about Bell who never showed any sign of waking up.
They are currently at the Stardust Garden, with Loki and Astrea talking on what to do about what to do about Bell for the time being while he's asleep.
"I should take him back home first, we've already finished preparations for the fight, we only have to re organize every item we will need to put in a carriage. I'm sorry Astrea, for bothering you and your children." Loki apologized.
"Don't apologize Loki, I don't mind looking out for him especially these days. Now that all the remnants of Evilus are eliminated, we've got nothing else to do aside from dungeon exploration which I couldn't participate anyway... But you know what, I don't mind if he stays here until he wakes up. Especially when I see Alise acting like that... Even though I'm not the type to support romantic relationships, I can't help but somehow root for her when she's like this..."
"That so... Then if you don't mind, can we stay here as well? Not all of us but our highest members including me, I'll just leave the arrangement to our second class adventurers."
"Sure I don't mind. Please come in, we more spare rooms. Enough for you and your executives. I'll just stay with Alise."
The goddess of justice led Loki and her children inside their home. Each of them were given their own room to stay until Bell wakes up, because of her kindness. Loki can't help but feel very indebted to her that she insisted on paying for everything when it's all over.
A day have passed observing the sleeping prince, but he didn't show any sign of waking up. Everyone was always on the edge of their sit when they saw the boy's color turning back to normal but even after that, nothing happened.
"Aight! Everyone, you should return to your room. It's already late, we should get some rest. We shouldn't be too stressed especially you guys. You will have to fight that bimbo's familia next week, no matter what. It was already decided. It doesn't matter if he wakes up or not. We'll have a war game with them."
She walked out of the room and went outside to get some fresh air. She doesn't have any motivation to drink nor to do one of her pranks on the girls. But while she was staring at the sky, she was surprised when Aki came and called out to her from the other side of the gate.
"Loki! There's a problem!" Aki panicked
"What is it?"
"Bell's mom, she's here and she wants to join our familia!"
"What!? Well I don't mind another moma to our familia so sure!" Loki grinned from ear to ear.
"Get serious!! Bell's mom... She's the last surviving member of Hera and the strongest mage! She was also accompanied by a man from the Zeus Familia and was the one who taught the King!!" Aki said angrily.
This surprised Loki. Never did she expect this type of thing to happen but it also made her skeptical about this. Two strongest adventurers that can defeat Ottarl single handedly can't possibly join her familia both at the same time. Sure Alfia has her reason and it was because of her son but what about Zard? It would be way too impossible for him to be Bell's father since his and Alfia's age were far too great.
"Alright, I'll go with you. Where are they anyway?"
"At our home, also. Zeus-sama and Hera-sama are with them."
They made their way back to the Twilight Manor and when they went inside, Loki saw her most hated god's grin. This pissed her off and made her punch him in the face.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK ARE YOU DOING!?"
"Is that the right way of saying hello to your old friend Loki?!"
"Old friend my ass!! Anyway... I heard that Zard and Alfia were joining my Familia. I already know the reason for Alfia but what about you Zard? Don't tell me an old fart like you knocked up Alfia?" Loki glared at the predator but it only made him smile. A smile that ticked Loki off.
"Answer me!! If it's true... I won't be able to sleep tonight... My dear Alfia-chan got taken away by an old man without a Falna-aaakkk!!"
"Shut up Loki, he's not the father of my son. She just accompanied me and Zeus while raising the kid since he had nothing better to do." Alfia grabbed her face and squeezed it to shut her up.
"I didn't really want to come here but this old man kept pestering me about letting Alfia be with her son. I don't really mind unlocking her Falna but when I heard the whole story on how they raised this kid and how she changed her, I became interested in him."
Hera Familia and Zeus Familia were the two strongest Familia of Orario before. They are also the Familia who defeated the two Great Monster that terrorized both the Sea and the Land. The Leviathan and the Behemoth.
The only Failure they suffered was the final battle against the One Eyed Black Dragon. It is unknown if it is due to Alfia's illness getting worse that weakened the fire power of the Hera Familia and Zard's deteriorating body that started after their fight against the Behemoth when he ate a piece of it's body that is filled with the most deadliest of the deadliest poison to gain more power, or due to the overwhelming power of the dragon that smashed them without trouble.
"You want to see him moma? But I'll warn you, he's not in a good condition. We didn't do anything bad to him nor anyone, it's just that after reading a grimoire that was given to him by Riveria, he passed out and never woke up. It was already three weeks at he's still unconscious."
"Hermes didn't say anything about this to us, only the war game against the Freya Familia... Anyway, guide us to where Bell is Loki. I want to see my grandson for the last time."
Zeus' words bothered Loki, but she didn't ask anything. She led them to the Astrea Familia and as they entered, Riveria who's searching for Loki got surprised when she saw her rival entering the mansion with her goddess.
"Loki!? What the hell is she doing here??" She asked with a slight hint of irritation in her voice.
"I didn't come here for you old hag, I came here for my son."
All of them expected the high elf to explode in anger. Loki were ready to run for her life as well as Zeus and Zard but they were surprised when a gentle smile appeared on the High Elf's face.
"I see... You are Bell's mother huh...? I shouldn't be surprised. After all, you two share some similarities."
They went inside after that and made their way to where Bell was resting. The five of them entered and saw everyone already asleep. This made Riveria both happy and a little angry at the same time.
"What did I just say? I said that leave Bell to me but look at all this people... Are they that worried about him...? Well I'm not the one to talk though ahahaha..." She laughed before making her way to the boy and gently rub his hair.
All of them except for Loki was taken a back by what happened. After all, in their long stay in Orario before they got banished, they were always with the Loki Familia and it's executives. Even then, they only saw her smile and laugh slightly but what's happening in back then was nothing if you compared her actions now.
"Hey old lady, I don't know what got into you but I won't hand my child to you! I don't want someone older than me become my 'Daughter-in-law'!"
"You-"
"HAHAHA!! That's my grandson!! Anyway, we should focus on why we came here first, as you already know. These two will join your Familia Loki, this was already decided even if the war game did not happen, and the reason we came here with them is because of their problems. You already knew what happened after the fight with the Leviathan and Behemoth so I think you already have an idea on what are we about to do." Zeus started to explain.
Basically, Hera and Zeus came with Zald and Alfia in order to unlock the falna and before they go back to their province in heaven. But this only served to confuse Riveria.
"What do you mean you'll go back to heaven?"
"Okay, I'll be on point. Both of us will use our divine power to eliminate the poison inside Zard and cure Alfia's illness that cannot be removed by any normal means. That's why we came here." Zeus gazed to his sleeping grandson.
"I don't really have any intention of doing this but when I saw this women kneel in front of me. It moved my heart and decided to do it. Who would have thought that the Alfia I knew who never bowed before anyone, be it may a mortal or a god will beg me to extend her life in order to watch over her son... Time sure flies, humans constantly change as well as us gods... Well enough of that. Let's go down and begin this already Alfia, Zard and Zeus before I change my mind."
Flash back end.
"Well, looking back then. I've also changed actually... A lot..." Loki smiled to herself as she sat down at Astrea's bed. Waiting for Bell to come back.
It was just a few seconds after that when the said person entered the room, he already changed to his normal black long sleeves shirt partnered with black pants and brown boots.
"It looks like you're fine. So what about we update your status? I also have a little surprise to you later."
"Yes please update it, I also wanna see my magic but about that surprise, can that wait until later? I really need to train right now with Kaguya-san and the others." Bell scratched his cheeks while wearing an apologetic smile. But it soon changed when a women's voice rang out from the other side of the door.
"And here I thought that you would be happy to see us again..."
Alfia entered the room with a smile and with her eyes open. The color of her eyes now matches unlike before when she's still ill. They were now both deep green unlike before where her left eye was color gray.
"M-Mom...? Is that you...? Am I dreaming..!? I'm not right!?"
"Yes you aren't dear... I missed you so much."
Both of the couldn't hold themselves back anymore and embraced each other tightly, even if it's just a short time. For them it was already long enough that they can't hold back their emotions.
A/N: That's enough for now.
Sorry I already have a goal about Bell's magic but I don't want him to be too OP.
I'll upload the next chapter when I've already decided on what to do about that. Sorry I can't give you hints.
