Chapter 10

Normal POV.

Bell was walking straight to the twilight manor, excited to bring the good news to his mother and how he defeated a very strong monster on his first day.

"I wonder if I can treat the others too? but with this amount, nothing will be left to me if I do that... But since it's my first earn, I'll try to invite uncle if he's available. Maybe captain too with Gareth-san and Riveria-san."

Bell was happily skipping and did not notice that he already arrived at their home, but that changed when Riveria called out to her.

"Bell, welcome back. How's your first day?" The high elf asked with a smile.

"Oh, Riveria-san. It's really great, even though I encountered something called Irregular, I didn't get a single scratch." Bell answered her happily witha huge grin.

"Really? Let's talk about that with the others then, come on inside. Dinner is being prepared."

"Um. I was actually planning on inviting Mom and uncle Zard to a pub called Hostess of Fertility because I met a waitress there earlier this morning. She said that I could come if I returned safely."

"I see. But still, head inside first and tell your mom about your experience, I'm intrugued to find out what irregularity you encountered but she should hear it first."

The rabbit boy went inside their home and headed straight to his mother's room at the women's tower, garnering many gazes but he didn't mind as he's so excited to tell his first ever adventure to her.

"Mom?" He knocked at her door

"Bell? Is that you?"

"Yes, I just returned from the dungeon."

"Ah, come in. I want to hear your story."

Bell came inside and saw his lovely mother dressed differently from their time in the village.

She wore a long sleeved white blouse wigh ruffles in both ends of the sleeves and the neck part were slightly lower, exposing a little bit of her chest but not too revealing. It was also accompanied by a gold pendant with a white stone in the middle. On the bottom, she wore a black skirt that reaches towards her knees and a brown sandals.

Her hair were also tied in a middle ponytail (AN:YESS PONYTAIL!!) kept by a black ribbon.

His eyes widened by the beautiful sight, he knew his mom is very beautiful but this is something new. Especially her hair because back then, she always had it down. The ponytail really fits her so much. (YESS PONYTAIL ALFIA!!)

"What's wrong Bell? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" The silver haired women tilted her head on his reaction.

"No, it's just that this is the first time I saw you dressed in something so modern looking and also... The hair really suits you mom..." Bell scratched his blushing cheeks while averting his gaze.

"Bell. I'm your mother, stop looking at me like a women." Alfia sharpened her gaze.

"Mom! It's not that! It's... It's just that you really look pretty..-"

"Pfft."

Bell blinked in surprise when he saw her mother snort, it was like he's having a dream that he never imagine he could have. A sight of his mother laughing lightly while covering her mouth with her left hand.

This also made him share her laughter and the two of them enjoyed it for a few good minutes until Alfia finally calmed down.

"Sorry, I couldn't hold back on teasing you Bell. Anyway, welcome home dear come here." The silver haired beauty opened her arms wide for her son.

Bell went to her and gave her a hug before whispering "I'm home" to his inspiration.

"How's your first dungeon exploration?"

"It's not really hard thanks to your lessons before and the information my guild advisor gave to me, I didn't have any problem clearing the first ten floors even with the Minotaur." His statement about the minotaur made the women in his arms raise an eyebrow and ask him about it.

"What do you mean a Minotaur? Those monsters only spawns in floor 16 and 17. How did they get in 10th floor?"

"Alise-san said it was their fault, I encountered them earlier after defeating 3 of those monsters and we went back to the surface together. On our way,they said that those monsters escaped from them when Alise-san took the Goliath down with a single blow."

Alfia chuckled as she remembered those days where Alise were still a level 2 adventurer and how she's always scared of those monsters.

"How ironic, the girl who used to be afraid of that monster suddenly became the source of their fear. Anyway, I'm glad that you returned safely. Even though I know that those monsters will pose no threat to you, I'm still glad that you are unharmed." Alfia slowly ruffled his snow white hair while smiling down at him.

After letting go of each other, Bell asked if she's available and when she said yes, he asked her out which led to her teasing him again for a second time in forever before agreeing on coming along.

Hostess of Fertility.

Alfia's POV.

As we went inside the pub, I immediately felt the nostalgia wash over me. Remembering the day that Mia first opened this diner after her retirement from Freya Familia.

"This brings back memories..." she said as she was led to a table of six. They were accompanied by Zard, Loki, Riveria and Gareth.

"It's been a while since you and Zard last came here." Riveria commented.

"Yeah, so how 'bout we find out who could drink more now eh? Zard?" Gareth grinned.

"Bring it on, just don't regret challenging me."

The two man grinned at each other before before ordering two barrels of their strongest alchohol, both of them did not waste time and immediately drank from it.

Some things really just don't change, Gareth and his addiction for alchohol and obsession on defeating Zard is one of that. As well as...

"Mom, what do you want? I'll pay for both of our meal so don't worry." My beacon of light smiled brightly.

I couldn't resist the urge to pet him a little bit before smiling, as I felt like even though the world ends right at this moment, his kindness will never change.

"I'll get the same food as you." I replied simply before focusing my gaze on the two conteders.

Right now, they are on their second one. But unlike the last time they drank together, Gareth doesn't seem to be fazed by the amount of they are consuming. He must've been drinking a lot since our departure from years ago.

"Alfia?" I heard the voice of the old women who irritatingly look younger than me because of her elven blood.

Curse you elves.

"What?" I replied coldly without batting an eye.

"Are you really fine with joining our Familia with Bell? After all, because of us Zeus Familia and Hera Famil-"

"Shut up." I cut her short as I don't want to hear her crap. Not when me and my son are having wonderful time.

"My son chose your Familia and he's already old enough to make a decision for himself, besides. It's all in the past now, Orario is just as good as it was back then, I see no reason to hold a grudge against Loki and you lot but..."

SHAKE

I let out a small amount of my magic to express how much I hate Freya for setting her site on my child.

"Freya. I'm not so sure if she'll get out of the mess she made unscathed." I balled my fists as I sighed to let go of the foul mood.

After that, I looked around and saw some terrified look around the pub, some noticed that the small shaking earlier came from me and some didn't.

"I've never seen you this angry before, you really have changed. A lot."

Stop acting like you are my best friend or I might start doing the same.

I sighed again as she gave me that stupid gentle smile of hers, why is the world so biased on appearance? Why do elves always end up the most handsome and beautiful in every angle?

"I really hate the gods." I ended our conversation as I saw our food being delivered by a black haired girl.

She looks pretty, a standard from the girls of Far East but she's in Gojouno Kaguya's league, although she looks a lot more simple and aproachable.

"Oh. Mikoto-san, hello. As I promised, I came back." I raised an eyebrow as I looked at my son who seems somewhat acting familiar to her.

"Oh it looks like you came back just fine! Thank you for dropping by with your Familia members and superiors." The girl known as Mikoto also acted the same way.

Something smells fishy and I don't think I will like it.

Before her, there are already some girls who showed some good relationship to my son.

First, Alise Lovell. That cheerful girl who's as bright as the sun.

Second is this old hag beside me. A hundred year old women with the appearance of a 20 year old girl.

Third is that cat girl from our Familia who received a nickname from Bell. But based on their interactions and her intentions, it doesn't look like they will develop romantic feelings for each other as she always acts like his big sister.

And this is just my hunch but I don't think he will stop raising flags soon. He may not be aware of it but that perverted bastard of a god made him a natural smooth talker.

How I wish you were still here so I could tear you apart Zeus.

"Here is your order Bell-san's Onee-san!" The waitress handed me a plate of Spaghetti and today's special.

I don't mind her ending up with Bell.

"Miss, sorry to disappoint you but I'm not his older sister. I'm his mother." I winked at the waitress who blushed in embarassment.

"O-Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't know!" She bowed before she got called out by Mia.

"Please enjoy your meal, I'll go ahead and serve the other customers for a bit." She bowed down once more before heading towards the counter to deliver another order.

"Let's dig in."

Bell's POV.

Before we left our home, Goddess said that I should onlt treat mom. Especially since it was my very first earn as an adventurer, she also said that due to some circumstances only Gareth-san and Riveria-san can come along.

Now, we are starting to eat while the two old man as well as Goddess started to drink like there's no tomorrow.

"Mom, how old are you when you started as an adventurer?" I started a conversation.

"I say around 15 years old, why do you ask?"

"Nothing, I just remembered that Falna freezes a person's age at a certain point for them to become an effective adventurer for a long time. So if you look like a sister of mine in front of others, you must've started really young." I gave her a smile as I put another batch of noodles in my mouth. This is really delicious.

"I guess, but let us finish our food first. After this, if you want to we could take a walk around and talk."

I looked at her as she starts eating again and noticed that some of the sauce made their way to her cheeks, so I grabbed my handkerchief and called out to her.

"Mom, look at me." She then turned her head against me and I held her face as I started wiping it.

"Are you two always like this? You're way too sweet to each other that for a moment, I thought you were a couple." I thought she was joking at first so I just laughed at her comment but when I saw how surprised she was by our actions, I started to blush.

"N-No! Isn't this normal Riveria-san!? I MEAN WE'RE FAMILY RIGHT!?"

"But it's uncommon for the child to do such actions to her mother unless she's already at a very old age-"

"Speak for yourself, old hag."

And with that, the two of them started to bicker as I watched in sideline how chaotic our dinner is. But still, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

"I hope this lasts forever."

Mikoto's POV.

The people of Loki Familia just left after the two man finished their last drink in a draw, I was cleaning the table right now while the others are mopping the floor and washing the dishes.

"Mama Mia, it looks like this will be the end for me this month. I'll try to help again the next time our familia doesn't have anything to do." I said at the owner of the pub that I'm working as a part timer.

"Sure, an extra pair of hands is always welcome for us. Also, tell Chigusa that if she want's to, she can also work here. The same goes for Nanao and Lisa."

"Yes, thank you very much."

After cleaning the pub and closing out for the night, I started to head home. Now dressed in my normal clothes as I left the uniform to my workplace.

As I walked down the main road, I saw a familiar looking white hair and silver hair. The adventurer that I got to know earlier this morning and his mother but decided to not to bother their time together as they looked so happy.

"I wonder how mom is doing back at the shrine." I asked my self as a solemn smile appeared on my face.

Maybe I should send her a letter

I turned to the left corner and saw our home that is currently under renovation. It is under construction but Goibniu Familia said that they've already finished our room and we can sleep here with no problem.

I entered our home and immediately got welcomed by the sight of our two youngest members.

"Welcome back Mikoto Onee-chan!" The black haired girl with orange colored eyes greeted me while the boy beside her with snow white hair and blue green eyes just smiled at me.

"I'm back, Momo-chan and Shiro."

A/N: Short chapter for now.
I'm still thinking about the pairing for this Fanfic because I have too many characters that I want to give a spotlight. I really love them and wish that they have more role to play in the canon but sadly, they don't.
I'll upload the next chapter maybe next week. It's currently our semestral break so I have a lot of free time.
