Chapter 12.
Alfia's POV.
1 Month Ago.
I wanted to punch the shit out of Zeus for saying those outrageous words, how is Bell not related to me if MY TWIN SISTER gave birth to him!? Meteria died after that and that son of a bitch Jason left our poor Bell to you.
I opened my eyes and let my rage out shaking our home with my magic startling Zard who came rushing towards us.
"Oy old man! Did you attempt to do something perverted on her again!?" Said the black knight with a very troubled expression.
"NO. HE SAID SOMETHING EVEN WORSE THAN THA- *Cough!"
I held my mouth with my left hand to prevent my blood from staining the floor and my right hand found its way to my aching chest. Clenching it to try and endure the pain from my curse (Illness).
No... Not yet, hold on, body of mine.
"I'm sorry, I know from the start that this would upset you and as for your question Zard. I didn't, we were just having an important conversation about Bell." The god reassured his last child. "Now if you don't mind, please leave. This should only involve Alfia as she is directly related to the boy. Also, no listening."
With that, the battle scarred warrior left the room.
"Listen Alfia, I'm not joking this time. I'll explain everything but first take a seat, this will be long."
Normal POV.
Long ago, there was a kingdom called Natra. Before the age of the Gods, it was one of the strongest kingdoms before the nightmare happened.
It was a kingdom where race is not valued that much compared to the others, everyone is welcome. Half elf, half Dwarf, Prums, the list goes on.
At the age where races are at each other's throat, this is what you could call a paradise if you are born with a half or quarter blood.
But that paradise was soon destroyed by the disaster brought by the Black Dragon(One Eyed in the future).
The dragon did not attack the kingdom, it just flew above them but after so many years of experiencing the terror of the king of monsters, they knew that seeing it was a bad omen.
"Your Majesty! We need to evacuate every single citizen immediately! The drag-" The soldier was immediately cut off by the king who stood up from his desk and halted on doing his paperwork.
"I know, Prepare all the carriage and any means of transportation immediately! We are to abandon our kingdom and evacuate all of our citizens no matter what!" The current King, Wein Salema Arbalest immediately left the room to find his wife and his new born child.
He ran past everyone, not batting an eye to those who greeted him and as he got closer to the queen's bedroom, he noticed that his wife was humming to help her second child sleep.
Wein slowly opened the door and revealed his wife, Ninym Ralei smiling down at their newborn child.
"Ninym!" He immediately went and embraced the two who were lying on the bed.
"Eh? What's wrong? Wein?"
"Please prepare to leave this country, I know that you just gave birth to Argo's brother but we need to leave, the dragon flew past our country and you know what will happen next." His face was pale, desperate to save his wife and son.
After all, he worked hard to prove that he doesn't need a political marriage to raise the country to the ground.
Ninym Ralei is a Fram, a rare race that is always at the bottom of the pyramid. Always sold to be a slave and viewed as a demon because of their so-called "Cursed Blood".
That's why Ninym refused to marry him no matter how much they loved each other, he is a prince and she is nothing but a lowly slave and a demon.
"I guess I don't have to worry about Argo since he's still outside of our country..." She removed the blanket over her legs and carried the boy with care as she stood up next to Wein.
"Let's start packi-"
BAM.
They were interrupted by Wein's younger sister who stormed into their room with a completely terrified face.
"Onii-sama! The monsters that the Black Dragon brought are here!!"
The Black Dragon is not called the King of monsters for no reason, because it has an ominous presence, it always attracts lower monsters to follow its trail wherever it goes, like a General charging at the enemy with their troops trailing behind.
The situation escalated too quickly for them and the kingdom was set on fire before they could even step out of the castle as the number of monsters were described to be "Enough to destroy the Lower World".
"I-It's all my fault..." Ninym started to hug her child tighter as tears formed at the corner of her beautiful crimson eyes.
"I knew right from the beginning that our relationship was wrong, yet I let my emotions control me and brought misfortune to this country..!!" She watched in despair as the citizens of their kingdom got devoured by the monsters of different kinds.
"Go inside, it will be safer for you and Falanya than try to break through the horde of monsters." Wein stated before drawing the sword that he got from his father.
"I won't let a single monster get through." Wein eyed his sister before nodding to her.
Falanya was hesitant but obliged as she knew that he would not budge on his decisions especially if they involved Ninym.
"This way!!" He grabbed the white haired woman's shoulders and went inside the castle leaving the King of Natra to face the monsters trying to get inside.
Ninym ran with the princess through the corridors to find a safe place to hide but when they were about to enter the passage to the basement at the end of the hall, a Wyvern broke through the glass window and attacked her and her child.
"No!!" Falanya threw herself in and pushed away the Fram, placing herself in front of the monster's jaws.
"Ack!!" Ninym turned around and landed on her back, opening her eyes again she saw the nightmare that would haunt her even after her own death.
ROAR.
The wyvern gave no mercy as it immediately bit Falanya's upper body splashing blood around as her upper body got separated from her legs.
"Hyaaaah!!!!" She screamed and ran, completely forgetting her first destination, she ran around the castle but since her body was still weak due to child birth, she collapsed in front of the giant door that leads through the throne room.
She stood up, enduring how weak her legs felt and how exhausted she was. She opened it before closing it after entering.
Panting heavily, Ninym looked around the room while resting her back on the large door behind her.
"Haahh... No not you too, I refuse to let them take you away from me. Not when we still don't have a name for you." The boy in her arms looked exactly like her and his eldest son Argonaut. But with obviously softer features like her.
BANG.
The door behind her was slammed and she was thrown across the room because of the impact, luckily she shielded her boy with her body just in time before they collided to the stairs in front of the throne.
BANG BANG.
The door won't hold out, she knew it as the number of monsters trying to break through increased and their footsteps got louder and louder.
"Is this the end for me? For us!? Am I really wrong to marry the man that I've loved since the very beginning!? Is this my punishment for dirtying the Royal blood with my own!? Are the gods in heaven punishing me!?" She screamed, sorrow, pain, despair all were mixing inside her chest as the end for both her and her beloved child with Wein comes near.
Until a voice spoke to her.
"Pitiful Mortal, do you want to save your child?"
A voice that sounded out of this world rang through her ears.
She looked around and saw a ball of black and yellow light floating in front of her.
"Who are you!?" She asked.
"I am the great spirit of Void, my name is Sirin." the ball spoke once again.
"Spirit!? Did the gods send you here to punish me!?" She asked angrily as she clenched her fists.
"Fool, did you not hear what I just said? Do you want me to SAVE your child?"
Ninym's eyes widened in disbelief as she was graced by the presence of a spirit even though she is nothing but a lowly Fram.
"You will!? Please!! I don't care what happens to me but please save my child!! I'm willing to accept any consequences from you!!" She pleaded in desperation as the giant door slowly cracked.
"Well then, place your child on the floor. I will use my power to send him to the far future, without monsters roaming around and destroying everything in sight. But in return, your bloodline will be cursed, you will gain an incurrable disease that will be passed down through generations until the end of time. And it will start once your bloodline makes their second contact to a Spirit which is not far from now."
A black portal was opened swallowing the boy whole, making him disappear through the current Era.
"Now, for the final touch-"
"Wait!! About our child, Argonaut. Is he the one who will trigger the curse!?"
"That he is, I'll tell you this as a parting gift. He will become a figure for the future generations and his story will be passed down, he will become a Joker and a Hero at the same time and will have 3 children with a princess from another country."
The Great Spirit of Void disappeared before the door was destroyed by the monsters.
The wyverns immediately set the throne room on fire and burned everything down to ashes.
"I'm sorry Argo... I won't be able to take care of you when the time comes..." It was her last words before the monsters feasted on her.
Meteria was finally giving birth to her and Jason's child, she is both happy and afraid because he/she might inherit her illness that she and her sister got from their mother.
"I'm sorry I won't be able to be with you tomorrow, we will depart now to fight the One Eyed Black Dragon who's currently burning lands near the sanctuary Olympia." The ruby eyed supporter patted her head before heading out to meet their captain.
"Don't worry, I'll be here with you. I know the child will be a healthy one." Zeus reassured her.
A day has passed and it was finally time for her child birth.
It was smooth sailing from the start but the healer's expression darkened when the baby was finally out.
It was a boy with pure white hair and pale skin, he looked like his mother and this made her happy until the healer said those words.
"The child is dead."
The world stopped for a moment when she heard those words, she almost passed out but Zeus immediately tried to calm her down.
"Is it true?" The old man asked.
"Yes, I'm so sorry but there is nothing I can do about this matter. Please forgive me." The nurse gave Meteria the body of her dead child before prostrating herself.
HIC.
Meteria started to sob, blaming the weakness of her body. Wishing for once to be as strong as Aflia.
"There, I can't say that I know how you feel but at least don't blame yourself on this matter. We don't know how things would turn out after all during pregnancy. You gave it your all and took care of yourself, this time is just not the right time for you to have a child." He embraced the woman like a father comforting his child, patting her back softly as she sobbed on his shoulder.
COUGH.
But it was soon replaced by heavy coughing and blood spitting as her frail body's illness started to kick in.
"Meteria!" Zeus panicked as she started to vomit blood, staining the sheets of the bed and her hospital dress.
"I'm fine... I just need some time to rest but first, I want to bury our child. Can you lord Zeus?"
"Alright."
They left the small house, it was located at a village from the mountains not far from Orario. It has a calm environment with a lot of fresh air, not affected by any type of pollution unlike Orario which is good for her health condition.
Zeus dug a small grave, with enough space to fit the child devoid of life.
But when he was about to put the soil back, a familiar portal that he saw a thousand years ago opened in front of them.
"Don't tell me-!" The god of thunder's hunch was proved to be right when a baby emerged from the portal slowly dropping to the ground.
The child has the same hair as Meteria, his soft features were also just like hers and the only difference between them is his crimson ruby eyes.
SOB
The boy started to cry, Meteria was surprised by the turn of events and glanced back and forth to the dead baby and the one crying in front of Zeus.
"Lord Zeus... What is this..?" She said while trying to process everything.
"I'll tell you everything but please let us go inside, please pick the baby up while I bury your child."
Meteria hesitantly brought the unknown boy to her shaky arms, thinking to herself how weak she'd become.
After sitting inside, it was a long explanation from Zeus to make her understand, after all. It's not everyday that your child dies right after being born and a child with a similar appearance pops up in front of you.
Looking at the boy in her arms, she can't help but be amazed at his mother. She's willing to sacrifice herself for her beloved child which is very admirable.
"Lord Zeus, is it okay if I treat him as my own?" Meteria cooed the baby who's smiling happily while staring at her green eyes.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"And then, after giving him a name. Meteria passed away because of her illness and weakened body, she really loved him even though they are not related. Even though the time they spent together was very short, she treated him like his original mother from a thousand years ago." By the time Zeus finished explaining everything to her, the sun was already set and they could already hear Zard snoring.
"Argonaut is a royal blood? I don't remember reading it from the book of history back in Orario." Alfia squinted her brows.
"It is because they have already modified everything and made it shorter, you should know this since you always read the picture books for Bell when he was still a toddler."
"I remember now, one of his companions asked him if he is a royal blood. The elf called Ryulu was the one who asked him but he dodged the question for some reason."
"Also, remember when he saved Fina? His adoptive little sister. That's right after his journey, when he returned to the kingdom. He saw it completely devoid of life, because of that he started to travel around and accidentally met the half elf before living in the village far from the capital."
Everything finally clicked inside her head but she still couldn't believe it, it's just way too complicated.
"If you still don't believe it then it's fine, I won't force you. You can forget about this conversation if you want to."
Present time.

After updating his Status, Loki called it a day and opened a bottle of a soma familia wine.
"I wonder what got into her? Well whatever, I don't have to worry about her. She's a level 7 and the strongest mage after all."
BANG.
Alfia went to the dungeon's middle floors to help clear her mind, it's been a month since she heard his words but it is still fresh on her mind like it all just happened yesterday.
"How annoying!" She blasted away a group of minotaurs sending them flying to the wall before disappearing.
All other adventurers who saw her only had 2 things in mind.
First, she is beautiful beyond belief and second is that she's so strong you'd piss your pants.
"I guess that's it."
She could go on and reach the 17th floor and destroy goliath if she wants to but abstain from doing so because she thought it was already enough for the day.
Her journey back to the surface is uneventful until she reached her room in twilight manor where she saw Bell sleeping on her bed and muttering something.
"It can't be helped, it's already late at night anyway." She changed to her standard night dress before occupying the space left behind by her son.
"I love you... Mom..." Bell muttered in his sleep
"I still can't believe it no matter how hard I think. If you knew, what would you do?" She enveloped the boy in front of her in a gentle hug before drifting into the world of dreams herself.
A/N: How about this? I hope I explained everything well.
I hope you don't mind me placing tensai ouji characters in the story but don't mind, they won't appear again. This is just for the sake of uncovering Bell's true origin.
I also got Sirin from another series, she is the Herrsher of Void in HI3 and the queen of Honkai.
Please tell me if you like the update or not, I'm fine with any comments as long as they are about the story.
I also think that I will stop updating "Is It Wrong For A Side Character To Become a Main Heroin" for the time being, I'll try and gather more ideas before proceeding on ending Evilus and making the second book.
